It breaks @mahmoudkhalaff and their families hearts to pieces to even think about evacuating from Gaza where they have lived their entire lives and have created an unnumberable amount of beautiful memories.

Throughout the six months of the ravaging war in Gaza, the 8 members of the Khalaff family have been displaced four times in the Gaza Strip seeking every avenue to escape imminent death.

At one point, the entire family barely escaped death when sniper bullets hit the building where they sought refuge. Both children and adults alike had to crawl on the floor to move from one room to another to minimize the risk of getting a bullet in the head or chest.

They had flashbacks flash before their eyes because of their journey in life and most thought: "This is the end. Here is where everyone in this family dies." They are always sick with worry thinking about the children: "They should be out playing football or hide and seek instead of trying to hide from Israeli sniper bullets. "

Hind’s Hall

Columbia students have taken over Hamilton Hall, and renamed it ‘Hind’s Hall.’ In honour of, Hind Rajab. A young Palestinian girl who was murdered alongside members of her family in their car by the Israeli Occupation Forces.

May she rest in peace, and let her story never be forgotten.

hello!! i'm writing on behalf of ali, or @aliata92 .

ali is a 24 year old from eastern khan yunis, living with his family of 9. in 2023, ali lost his job as a sales representative and he and his family were forced from their home, which is now destroyed. he and his family relocated to a shelter provided by the UNRWA. however, their living conditions are incredibly unsafe. they are living in an overpopulated space rife with insects and pollution, and suffering from a lack of clean drinking water. in december, the iof stormed the humanitarian shelter, holding families at gunpoint. ali was beaten by the iof and verbally abused. his family fled the shelter, but they are now living in a smaller makeshift house comprised of scrap materials, that is incapable of protecting them from the harsh weather and emerging heat of summer. on top of all of this tragedy, his mother has become sick and his family is facing extreme health risks due to constant exposure to fire. they are severly malnourished and lacking medicine, healthcare, water and food. my heart breaks knowing that he and his family are suffering. no family deserves to go through such horrific events.
