I am working on a personal project and it’s pretty big for me. I want to do 12 fantasy art pieces, and I am doing this for a few reasons, one I want to make more fantasy art, two I want to change my work flow up a bit, and the last thing is I want to create more illustrative pieces that make the I draw characters really come to life.

This character is Lyne, they belong to my friend @lizzozzil. I have drawn them before when we were doing this campaign together. I really wanted to redraw them give, them a real Sailor Moon moment. The problem I had with the original is I didn't have much experience with drawing armor and found myself a little overwhelmed by the experience and I think that is very evident in the finished piece. I am going to approach this differently and this time around I am doing way more planning. Lyne’s armor feel more like it belong to them, and as a cleric so connected with Selune its important their armor reflects their goddess.

I have found that this process of designing the character before even starting the drawing has been unbelievably helpful. I can burn myself out while working because I am an overthinker, and trying to make decisions while in the painting/drawing process is overwhelming and causes me to just rush to finish. I want to take my time with this project and hopefully I learn more about myself through out the process.

Listen I love the jedi order but the way they saw little baby anakin, former slave and said yeah it's okay if he calls us master. Like dudes just walked all over his trauma. Also the way Anakin in one of the jedi quest books says how he feels like being a jedi for him is so similar to being a slave. It makes me so mad for some reason like they talk ab helping people and then boom yeah this former slave can call us master.
