Happy New Year all!! 🥳

If I’m being honest, and I feel that I should, I’m completely disillusioned by Kaylor. I don’t have the wherewithal to pick up the pieces anymore. I’m not sure what game they are playing and if it’s something I can even watch anymore. I’m tired yes. I didn’t have a countdown to something happening ie with the end of 2023 comes my abandonment. No it’s not like that because I’ve been watching the ship leave port for a long time and I can only be so patient. The truth is things haven’t been the same since the pandemic. This year we did get something big we got Karlie at the eras tour!! But like everything that surrounds their PR and like everything that relates to Kaylor it’s wrapped in a new beard and a weird seating arrangement that ignites the haters. I use to think the girls are playing the long game but now I’m not sure they are playing at all and maybe have chosen that the closet is what’s best for their family. It’s not my place to accept this even if it’s hard. There’s only so much information I have to what’s going on. But I’m tired of the money grabbing greed. Even though their wealth isn’t personal it feels it when they both are choosing this path for whatever reason I’m not privy to. It feels personal, this could be because I’ve had the worst financial year of my life…it’s hard to watch all the greed and I don’t want to be a part of it anymore. The greed. If it’s not about greed and it’s about protection from my point of view and I’m sure others this is what it looks like. Thousand dollar tickets to the concert, three different albums with different songs on them but the songs you want, limited time vinyls which aren’t limited. Stunting on Christmas at the football game why because she wants those fans to buy movie tickets? $20 to rent concert movie at home. She is already a billionaire. We are about to be in a recession. The girls are not a princess’s trapped in a castle they are grown adults who can make their own decisions even if we don’t understand the decisions they make.

I don’t know where to go from here. It’s no secret I’ve stepped back as many others have. It makes me sad to watch things go this way. I miss the 2018 2019 Kaylor world we had. Maybe this if for my own good to focus on my wedding and my own 2024 instead of watching and waiting for something to happen in other peoples lives. I love Kaylor very much and I’m still rooting for them. The celebrity circus I’m taking a step back from. The real love music muse I’ll always have a place for. 🖤

DT timeline from fowl (theory/headcanon)

In the early 60's Bradford was still young with a full head of hair, met and teamed up with black heron, making f.o.w.l…

Some time a little later in the mid 60's Heron tried to get the formula for gummi-berry juice, meanwhile Scrooge just joined s.h.u.s.h. as a new philanthropist, he and Beakley beat Heron, and Bradford must have just found out his partner in crime just got defeated by those two.

Scrooge's big Christmas party probably happened in the late 70's that would be a whole new decade later for him to age into the state we see him at the Christmas party where he and Scrooge apparently first met face to face.

Ludwig Van Drake got kidnapped by f.o.w.l. sometime after the 70's or at least some time after the Christmas party. If they had the stone of what was at the time and didn't lose it yet. It would be very easy to fake someone's death by just leaving a lifeless clone of that person to be found. Before being kidnapped, he still trusted Bradford enough at the time for Bradford to easily lure him somewhere to capture him.

 Later in the early 90's is when Donald and Della come to stay with Scrooge and "The First Adventure". After which Bradford becomes Scrooge's new CFO, and starts his 30 year plan to get the papyrus of binding back. 

 Then either that year or some other year after that Dewy time travels back to meet his mom and uncle as kids for Christmas.

Around 2006, Scrooge built the Spear of Selene and Bradford told Della about it, basically instigating the Spear of Selene fiasco.

Beakley attempted to shut down f.o.w.l. once and for all but finds a baby duckling who she named Webby and goes into hiding at McDuck manner. This is possibly also when f.o.w.l. lost the Stone of what was. 

Possibly after that, Bradford causes Duckworth's death, either directly or indirectly.

August 12, 2017, the triplets meet their uncle Scrooge for the first time.(DuckTales 2017 officially started)

September 23, 2017, "The great dime chance!" 

April 2018, "The Beast in the Board Room!"

July 7, 2018, Black Heron made a second attempt at recreating gummi-berry juice but was stopped by Webby. 

August 11, 2018 "the last crash of the sunchaser!" 

August 18, 2018, Magical DeSpell was released, The Shadow war happened. Then Magica lost her magic. 

September 2018, "Countdown to Termination!"

December 24, 2018, "Last Christmas!" takes place.

September 11, 2019, Louie became the richest duck in the world. Bradford tricked him into releasing the zombie bombie, where Louie ended up cutting the funding to McDuck's satellites before giving the wealth back to scrooge.

September 12, 2019, The Moonvasion happened. And after that ended f.o.w.l. came back "from the shadows". 

April 4, 2020, the ducks found the lost journal of Isabella Finch. And f.o.w.l. was watching them.

April 4, 2020, "Quack Pack!" the ducks found the lamp of Alli Babah.

April 11, 2020, "Double-O-Duck in you only crash twice" the Intelli-ray was invented using the Third Eye Diamond.

April 18, 2020, The lost Harp of Mervana was found.

 September 21, 2020, "The Phantom and the Sorceress", Magica got her magic back.

 October 12, 2020, The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades was found by the ducks.

October 19, 2020, "Let's Get Dangerous!" Bradford got outed as the leader of f.o.w.l.

October 26, 2020, Bradford distracts the Ducks as f.o.w.l. steals all the missing mysteries that were found.

November 2, 2020, the split sword of Swanstantine was recovered by the ducks from f.o.w.l.

November 23, 2020, the blessed bagpipes of clan McDuck was recovered by the Ducks.

March 1, 2021, The Ducks recovered the stone of what was, but f.o.w.l. was able to get back a piece of it.

 March 15, 2021, the events of "The Last Adventure" Happened happened. f.o.w.l. was defeated and Bradford got turned into a feral vulture by Magica.

Mission: Jingle Bells — VoicePlay music video

After the events of "Panic! in 4 Minutes" (and its prequel "Trapped" that they hadn't filmed yet), you might think the VoicePlay guys would be more vigilant against being abducted. But no, they've gotten kidnapped and tied to a circle of chairs again. At least this time their captor isn't actively trying to kill them. He just wants a private performance… or else.

Trivia:

○ Like most of the spoken dialogue in VoicePlay's music videos, the kidnapper is voiced by Eli. The mystery person at the computer equipment is Kathy.

○ The guys have never released a conventional version of "Jingle Bells", but they have done serveral creative things with it:

They performed a fun remix as a commercial bumper during the Sing-Off season 4 finale.

They did a Bollywood-inspired version on their 2012 holiday album, "Peppermint Winter".

And, of course, they included an excerpt in their "Most of the Songs" holiday medley that they performed at seasonal shows, including their three annual residencies at Disney World for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

○ VoicePlay later included the Mission: Impossible theme in their "Aca Top 10 – Movie Themes" countdown with guest Rob Lundquist from Home Free.

○ The fellas made some festive hostage-note-style promo posters that they posted to their individual social media accounts. (Though I can't find J.None's anywhere.)

○ This video was commissioned by Paramount Studios as part of the advertising campaign for the home media release of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, the sixth movie in the series.

○ Instead of a note in the YouTube description, they posted a comment reading: "MERRY CHRISTMAS! This video was sponsored by Mission: Impossible – Fallout — If you're looking for something INCREDIBLE to watch this holiday season with all of your fav secret agents, 😎 👉 http://paramnt.us/Get.Fallout. Today (This comment will self destruct in 5 seconds)."

○ The video won a 2019 Clio award, the industry awards for advertising. The coordinating agency, Think Jam Inc., took home a bronze in the Home Entertainment: Original Content category.

○ Earl got a little lost in the sauce when he picked up breakfast for the guys and their crew on the way to the filming location.

February 2019 through May 2020 was the most rollercoaster of a time to be a swiftie

How did you get into Earthworm Jim in the first place?

Oh it is a long and bittersweet story.

Spring of 2019, I was in 6th grade. I was at my mom's house, this was back when my best friend Tom, was dating my mother (that's how we met and became friends), and was watching some sort of WatchMojo countdown on my TV in my room (I think it was for funniest game endings) and Earthworm Jim appeared on #2. It immediately caught my attention. Something in me immediately wanted to know more about it. So I went downstairs and asked Tom (he was a twitch streamer so I figured he knew the most about video games) "What's Earthworm Jim?"

Tom was so excited he jumped up and told me "I'll tell you in the morning!" And so the next morning, he set up his Xbox One and sat me down to play Jim HD. I fell in love with the game immediately, I've only ever really played this kind of game I only affiliated it with Mario and DuckTales (I was a Wii U baby) and it felt more like DuckTales with the 2D animation. It spoke out to be as being unique being weird being funny I could use a gun, I can use myself as a whip! And it was challenging the levels were memorable. When I struggled my way to the end for the first time, I was so mad because I found out that Tom set the difficulty to me to easy so I didn't get the ending, that by the time he got home he heard me cursing and yelling from outside "FUCK YOU, I'M BEATING IT ON ORIGINAL." I played the game all over again.

Then, Tom showed me the cartoon in the summer. I was already into stuff like the Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain because it was on Hulu, so the Earthworm Jim cartoon hooked me. Not only did I love something but I love something with a friend, this was me and Tom's show, whenever mom would be sleeping for work (night shift), the two of us would go out to Popeyes, pick up some chicken (she prefers KFC), some root beer, (there is a local brand that has the absolute best and it was made with honey) and then watch the show together all throughout the summer. I very frequently borrowed his DVD.

Then it became fall and I was a 7th grader. I had the worst English teacher I could have possibly had, she wanted everything on paper if you go over to her to get some revisions on a computer she would demand that you print it you print it and then she points out the revisions so you have to type it out again and then you have to print some more. she tried to force paper on everybody including the parents, it was a nightmare. So while she had an audiobook on I started to doodle. And what was on my ASD laced mind?

This. I wrote it down on tests and papers to let myself know that I was doing a good job. My doodles were not very good at first and I never really considered art because I just hated coloring originally. Then Christmas came, and I got given an Earthworm Jim lunch box, and it was my favorite Christmas present of that year. That Christmas was the last Christmas with Tom and my Mother...

And then came January of 2020. I went to Magfest on an invitation from Tom, I got to play the original version on a Super Nintendo and my mom was just laughing at me failing everything because even though I could beat the HD version easily I never touched the original. One night I accidentally left my journal at the dinner table and Tom found it, it was filled with Jim sketches. He immediately brought it to me and gave me constructive criticism and praise, I felt absolutely proud because I never really got complimented on that kind of thing before on something that wasn't math. One last grace before...

February of 2020. Tom and Mom broke up. Their relationship didn't work out for a number of reasons, and Tom had to leave to go somewhere to find a job. Before he left, he gave me his copy of the Earthworm Jim cartoon, installed Jim 3D on my mom's computer, and I gave him some traces I did of the Jim 3D bosses.

Then the pandemic happened right on my birthday, and right at the perfect age of turning 13, and having the ability to interact with the internet.

I'm sorry for the long ass story that's genuinely what happened.

Taylor Swift Meets Hockey RPF: A 2022 Advent Calendar

Hello friends. I’m so excited to announce the advent calendar you never knew you wanted: the countdown of the 25 ficciest Taylor Swift songs, specifically as they apply to hockey RPF!

We’ve long been aware here in the fic community that Ms. Swift’s lyrics provide excellent titles. But just how ficcy are her songs, really? I’ve set out to answer that question via an extremely scientific* ranking project that combines three things I love dearly: hockey RPF, Taylor Swift songs, and making ranked lists of things.

*It was not even a little bit scientific

If you share any of these interests, you may be asking the following questions:

Q. I’m so excited! But what does this advent calendar actually consist of?

A. What a good question. Every day I’ll do a write-up of one of the songs, starting with the least ficcy of the 25 on 12/1 and getting ficcier each day up until Christmas, when the ficciness will reach its peak and we’ll explode with the joy of repressed men pining for each other.

Q. Are you actually going to write a story for each song?

A. Hahaha no. But I am going to pick a pairing that I think fits the song the best and say a little about how their story would go, and if I get intrigued enough by any of it I might write the story eventually.

Q. You’re going to let us know which song lyrics you’d use to title the story, though, right?

A. Of course.

Q. How can I keep track of these posts?

A. This post will act as a master post as soon as I’ve started the countdown.

Q. How about a playlist so we can listen along?

A. I got you right here! It’s empty now, and I’ll add songs as soon as they’re revealed.

Q. But wait! There’s so much variety in fanfiction, even just within hockey RPF. What does “ficciest” actually mean?

A. The ficciness of each song has been determined via the extremely objective method of me thinking about it really, really hard. I’m not aiming for all of fandom here; my frame of reference is men’s hockey RPF, specifically slash, specifically the kinds of stories I most enjoy reading/writing.

Q. Isn’t that kind of arbitrary?

A. Shhhhhh.

Q. Okay but that means pining is going to be front and center, right?

A. Absolutely it does.

Q.  So…you actually went through all of Taylor Swift’s discography for this?

A. Let’s just say my Spotify Wrapped is a little extreme this year.

Q. Aside from screwing your Spotify stats all to hell, did you come across any trends in the ficciness of her music that you’d like to share with us?

A. I’m so glad you asked! As part of determining the top 25, I rated every Taylor Swift song in her 10 studio albums (Taylor’s Version where available) on a scale of 0-10 for applicability to hockey RPF. Her albums ranked as follows:

Reputation (2017): 4.79 average ficciness rating

Lover (2019): 4.39

Taylor Swift (2006): 4

Speak Now (2010): 3.88

Red (2012): 3.55

Folklore (2020): 3.41

Fearless (2008): 3.4

Midnights (2022): 3.3

Evermore (2020): 3

1989 (2014): 2.77

Honestly I was pretty surprised by how this shook out. I expected ficciness to be at its peak in her first few albums, but nope. It was reasonably high at the start, and it did decline as she transitioned from country to pop with 1989, but then it shot up to new heights in Reputation and Lover. These are, not coincidentally, the two albums she wrote during and just after the start of her relationship with her current partner. This makes sense to me: the pining of the early albums is all well and good, but there are also a lot of songs about breakups, which did not do well in the ficciness ratings. After Lover, things went a little more as expected: the ficciness leveled off again, and her three most recent albums all ended up in the bottom half. Here's a fancy graph of the results:

That said, averages don’t tell you everything. Her first album is less ficcy than Lover on average but does far better in the top 25. Folklore is above Fearless by average rating, but it only has one song in the top 25 versus Fearless’s four. In fact, there were three albums that had only one song make it in, and 1989, least ficcy of them all, managed to squeak in twice. So “average ficciness” and “number of extremely ficcy songs” turned out to be very different stats.

Q. That's fun. Do you have any more charts?

A. I sure do! Here's one I made of how many songs came in at each rating from 1-10:

Basically, there were a lot of songs that weren't ficcy even a little bit, declining in number towards the mediocrely ficcy at 5. Then the count started going up again with songs that had enough ficcy content to be considered but maybe didn't quite hit the nail on the head. There were only a few songs that were real bullseyes.

When it came to narrowing things down, everything 7 and above got further consideration. About half the 7s made it, and almost all the 8s (there were a few I left out for various reasons). All the 9s and 10s got in.

Q. You’ve infected my brain with this, and now I’m curious how you’d rate this one song of hers I’m thinking about.

A. Shoot me an ask! If it isn’t in the top 25 I’ll answer with the ficciness rating I gave it and why.

💜 Self shipper! You will see A LOT of self shipping stuff on this blog. My main romantic f/o is Zach Varmitech from Wild Kratts. My self insert is Violet Virginia Varmitech nèe Tyler! I’m iffy sharing Zach, but if you respect me, and Zach and Violet, (show us no hatred), I am fine sharing him!

💜My secondary romantic f/o is the Grinch from the 2018 Illumination Grinch movie. My self insert is Aurora Borealis Who! I am completely fine sharing Grinch!

💜 I selfship platonically with Gaston Gourmand from Wild Kratts, but he’s also a bit of a crush/potential romantic f/o. I ship Gourmand with Zach as well, so I consider Zach, Gourmand, and Violet to have something of a poly relationship. I am okay sharing Gourmand!

💜 Veneer from Trolls 3 is a platonic/familial f/o of mine. He’s like my supportive best friend and brother!

💜 I also selfship romantically with Arthur Fleck, Young Justice Joker, and Loki. My s/i for Arthur and YJ Joker is Clarissa Wane. I haven’t figured out a s/i for Loki yet, but I’m thinking she’ll be called Scarlett. These are more “former relationships” of mine, but I still love each of these characters dearly, and I’m completely fine sharing them!

😍I'm also really excited my Seattle Seahawks won a few days ago! It was an epic/extra exciting game to watch! Then on Christmas Eve my Patriots play & then on Christmas my 49ers play!

Wooh! I'm so excited this week! I hope it's a good weekend! Been a true fan to my top 6 football teams for 19 years! No joke. I stay true to my teams even when we're not as good anymore as we used to be.
