December 16: cold hands

“—get out of my fur.”

Leona’s tail flicks against your wrist, like a housecat warning you it might pounce for your fingertips. His ears flatten against his head as he stares down at you, your face buried in his long mane, arms tight around his waist to keep him from getting away. “You’re soooo warm,” you sigh against his neck; Leona shudders as the gust of your cold breath slips down his coat collar.

“Not anymore I’m not,” he sighs. He’d been doing so well— campus was covered in the first dustings of snow, and as someone born and raised on a savannah, Leona isn’t designed for cold weather. His natural instincts are to hibernate, but that’s tough to do with a rambunctious prefect who demands your time.

You press closer to Leona as he walks, and he shivers again. “If you’re gonna insist on touching me,” his growl rumbles off his chest, “you could at least make sure your hands are warm first.” He shakes you off and pulls his uniform coat tighter in an effort to regain the warmth you’ve sapped from his thin frame.

“If they were already warm, I wouldn’t need to be this close to you,” you argue back, once again slipping your hand into his, squeezing tightly even as his own gloved hand hangs loosely. “I like sharing heat with you.”

Leona comes to a stop and pulls away from you again, long enough to slip his gloves off. “If you like sharing,” he purrs, and the switch in tone is enough to clue you in that he’s up to something— although the hint doesn’t come quickly enough. “Give me yours, then.”

Before you can stop him, Leona’s slipped his hands underneath your shirt, and you can’t help squealing— he’s ice cold.

What do the proxies get each other for Christmas ^^?

The Proxies

Outside of the top of their Christmas list, which is a spot reserved for Slender's gifting, the proxies get each other a few things from their lists but also some surprises.

Tim will get everyone the necessities. Gear, thermals, and something nice to eat like chocolate or a favorite sweet. He might even make his prized cinnamon rolls that everyone loves.

Brian is the fun yet responsible uncle, and gets things on the list that play into entertainment/leisure. A new game, a gift card to a nice restaurant, headphones, mental health books, and the like.

Toby goes all out for gifts, and saves up multiple paychecks just to splurge on his friends. He gets the best of the best, and some extras that everyone doesn't really need, but appreciates the thought anyway. He'll also get gag gifts, including those ugly fish loafers. Brian still wears them in the warmer months.

Clock is the best gifter in the group, and always seems to get just what the person secretly wanted but never wanted to ask for. She will get everyone something personalized for them, reflecting their hobby or personality. A keychain, shirt, hunting knife, etc.

Kate is terrible at giving gifts, and would rather just buy everyone gift cards or get what's exactly on their list with an amazon link included.

tanning drops!! personally i love being tan & i switch btwn these 2 products for a smooth base w super natural coverage.

concealer!! i’m obsessed w the nars one it’s actually perf for oily skin & never creases on me!!

blush!! personally i don’t like cream blushes bec i have oily skin so powder blushes & these in specific work perf!! i alternate depending on the mu look i want.

mascara!! thrive is amaze & so underrated. it’s tubing mascara so it comes off in little clumps instead of smearing!!

lips!! i love glosses & summer fridays is my fave ever i have almost every flavor but pink sugar is defs the best. i’m obsessed w the nyx oils too they last forever!!!

these are my go to products for my natural makeup routine but lmk if u want my going out mu 💋💋

FUCK CANCER!

Dear Santa;

I know it's a bit late in the game (it being less than a week before Christmas and all), but I'd like to change my wish list. I asked for a handful of things that are sort of silly. But, what I really want -- NEED -- is a cure for cancer.

Not for myself, of course. I don't have the medical need. And, I'd never be able to figure out all that medical/science-y stuff. (Damn it Jim; I'm a sonneteer, not a doctor.)

But, if you could drop it off to someone at Sloan Kettering in New York City, I'd really appreciate it.

PS: This would square us for that whole never giving me a BB gun thing.

December 11: too cold to get out of bed [kinda]

The weather has changed almost too quickly for your tastes; you can admit to enjoying a brisk breeze, maybe a few fluffy snowflakes across the lawn while you’re safe indoors. But when the chill invades your home, slipping past your windows and into your bones, well— that’s when the complaining starts, too.

“Didn’t I tell you that you’ve gotta sleep in your own bed?” Shinjiro’s already-deep voice is even rougher with the edge of sleep. You’ve nestled yourself under the covers with him, your face pressed firmly between his shoulder blades, and he hadn’t even flinched when your cold hands slipped under his warm shirt. “You’re the one that said the cold wouldn’t be so bad. Get back in your own room.”

“Mmm, nope,” you snuggle even closer. Shinji may be gruff and tough, but he’s got the softest spot in the world for you, both in his heart and in his bed. “I’m too cozy here now. You’re stuck with me.”

He sighs, a resigned sound, as if this whole situation was already set in stone. “—at least get your coldass feet off mine.”

You giggle to yourself as he rolls over, and one of Shinjiro’s large hands tangles in your hair, pressing your face into his broad chest as he rolls on top of you. “Hey—!” You squeak as he smothers you under his weight.

“Shut up,” he grumbles, “you said I’m stuck with you. Might as well keep you from complainin’ so I can get back to sleep.”
