fx the bear is very good because there's an episode where richie nearly fucking kills someone and faces manslaughter charges and its not even a major plot line or anything meanwhile the episode where they go home for christmas dinner is literally one of the most stressful episodes of television ever made

Orlaaa I can't send videos but there's this clip of a Scottish kid who's like 3 and she got her nails done and her accent is so cuteee😭 "look, I got my toes done and my naaels" I WAS MELTINGGG imagine having kids with Johnny and they got their daddy's accent🤧
HAH, i'm assuming you're talking about this video? it's adorable, and it's totally something johnny's kid would do. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
johnny is the perfect father, he's an active father despite being deployed often and is always there for her. he spends so much time with his daughter while on leave, usually out at the beach or perhaps even at the park with his toddler daughter. most kids don't have a thick and noticeable accent like his daughter, and it makes her stand out from the crowd, brightening peoples days with her laughter. god, people can't help themselves from melting and laughing at her cute, scottish accent. it's not often you see a proper scottish baby.
you absolutely love to send johnny videos of his daughter while he's on deployment, whether you're her mother or not, or even just a babysitter for her. johnny adores waking up everyday to a new video along with a somewhat coherent and loving message from his beloved sweetheart in scotland, in her princess dress, or even a photo of her new drawing of her and her daddy.
he can't help but laugh uncontrollably at the videos that you send him. it pulls at his heartstrings and he can't wait to have her back in his strong arms once again, cradling her and keeping her safe until she's fast asleep with the sound of her heartbeat and shallow breathing loud enough for johnny to listen to while he's attempting to catch some rest after months without his favourite girl.
he can't help himself from showing the rest of his trusted team these videos, especially price, who kills himself laughing at johnny's sweet daughter. johny watches them whenever he can, replaying them constantly and trying to arrange a time where he's able to call you and speak with his daughter while on deployment, more preferably through facetime so he can admire the glittery makeup and fancy face paint all over her adorable little face.

and FUCK the mormon church

i picked up this book on medieval painting materials and techniques at the thrift store the other day and didn't notice this inscription until after i'd bought it. this edition of the book was published in 1956.
on the opposite page is a sticker that reads "ex libris richard vernon jones" and the inscription reads:
"to richie, unique in this life, compassionate, a thinker, a writer of man in his search for the meaningful christo. on this one christmas, the best, and for all the others that shall be, as they may be, shared. ken
25.dec.1965"

'Baby's First Christmas'
screw it, i'm writing yet another short and sweet Christmas for my Joanie Munson AU
Steve and Eddie flop back onto their bed in unison, sighing with relief that Christmas Day is over.
"Baby's first Christmas," Eddie beams, holding the baby monitor close to his chest.
Steve turns his head to look at his partner humming contentedly.
"Baby's first Christmas," he nods, smiling back.
In one swift move, Eddie rolls on top of him, star-fishing over him as he tucks the baby monitor under his pillow. Even though Joanie is only at the foot of their bed in her crib, Steve can't hear her babbling, wet little eh-sounds (meaning she needs them) in his sleep.
"I'm emotional!" Eddie sniffles, "Hold me."
Steve does as he's told and wraps his arms tight around his partner, pressing a kiss to the top of Eddie's head.
"Yeah," he says, throat dry as tears prickle at the corners of his eyes, a droplet finally falling after a day of threatening to do so.
Eddie must feel it, seeing as it lands on his forehead. He looks up, teary himself. He sniffles back his own for a moment and reaches a hand to wipe his thumb across Steve's cheek.
"Sweetheart," he tuts, sitting upright now.
"Sorry," Steve blurts, pinching his nose.
Eddie runs both his hands through his hair, slow and soothing.
"Don't be sorry," he says, "I saw you getting all teary over the potatoes at dinner."
"The potatoes were dry," he says through a heaving sob.
Eddie giggles.
"Baby's first Christmas," he repeats, voice just above a whisper as he leans in to peck Steve on the cheek.
"Is she asleep?" he asks.
He focuses on wiping his eyes as Eddie cranes his neck, looking to the end of the bed.
"I think..." he wonders aloud, "Our stinky little miracle baby is... Snoring?"
He leans across Steve and reaches for the baby monitor. Eddie clicks the device on and holds it up between them. Joanie's snores aren't exactly as Eddie describes – more like little blep sounds as she periodically wriggles about.
Steve chuckles, thinking their daughter is just as fidgety in her sleep as Eddie is.
"I think we spoiled her," he says, lying back down and tucking the monitor back in its spot.
"Completely," Eddie agrees, joining him.
"She had no clue what was going on."
"None," Eddie laughs, resting his head on his chest and entangling their limbs until they fit together just right.
"She liked all the tinsel."
"Anything shiny."
"Baby's first Christmas," Steve smiles, closing his eyes.
"Baby's first Christmas," Eddie hums, squeezing him tight.

do you think Branch would still feel somewhat uncomfortable around his Bros in the future? Due to being so unfamiliar with being a part of a family? 😞😞😞😞
Tumblr media
even tho they seemed like they were willing to try at being a family again at the end of TBT but obviously 20 something years is a Hell of a long time and in Branch's case it was pretty much his whole life.
so do you think there'd still be a level of tension and uncomfortability?
like maybe we see the other Bros just playing happy families seemingly easily slotting back into their old dynamic while of course having fun sharing the newer parts of their lives with each other.
but maybe Branch would still feel somewhat uncomfortable about it even if he isn't exactly sure why or maybe he even straight up has a touch of imposter syndrome feeling like he doesn't belong in the family or any kind of family for that matter.
given he spent nearly his entire life as a loner so I can't imagine suddenly being expected to slot into a a big family would be all that easy kinda different from the other Bros where they all mostly grew up together.
and even after splitting apart went on to still have close people in their lives Bruce obviously had his wife and later children Clay had Viva and the rest of the Putt Putt Trolls.
and while Floyd doesn't have any cannon relationships I imagine he was a fairly sociable person who at least had close friends over the years.
only exception is JD given he also lived mostly alone for all those years with only Rhonda for company but he still Grew up with the Brothers and their Grandma up until he was likely a late teenager/young adult.
so I feel Branch would very likely be the one who'd have the Hardest time adjusting to just suddenly being a part of a large family again or any kind of family at all really.
what do you think? do you think there'd still be some awkwardness/uncomfortableness from Branch when it comes to his Family in the future?
I find this stuff interesting to think about lol I Really got my Fingers crossed we do get that Christmas Special in the future and they explore something like this since it'd be a pretty good chance to do so if it does take place around Bro zone's first Christmas back together as a family.
Branch straight up lived by himself as an orphan for most of his life so having him just be all okay and easily adjusting to having 4 Brothers back in his life would be disappointing tbh.

They finally decided to put all their differences aside, as they realised there are better things to do like consuming cake.
Gwayne and Daeron come in just before dessert 🍨 they all decide to have cake competitions instead! 🎂 🥮 rhaenyra is v happy about this
Great dragon bake off, the dragons help cook them
Everyone eats, lives, and is in merriment forever. The end! What a finale.

Christmas wasn't as special as Jay had thought it would be. With the never-ending chores on the ranch and Hope being sick, they barely had time to quickly eat some leftovers before the night was over. But Miracle didn't need a grand party to have a special Christmas; just cuddling on the couch with Jay at the end of a busy day was all she needed 💝

hey guys who wants to see my personal PD timeline i wrote out last night. the order may not necessarily make the most sense but i don’t think there’s an officially established timeline anyways so this is it. to me
MEGA SPOILERS FOR LIKE THE ENTIRE SERIES. BTW.
here’s season 1, it’s pretty straightforward:
Tumblr media
season 2 and the passage of time is so much more interesting to play with honestly.

* i know that the training arc realistically only was 8 hours in the real world. i know. but i stretched it a bit cause i just think there’s something so emotional about the greyscale arc taking place on christmas. i like to think about cantrip’s sister (ruby) trying to call her. yknow. and her never picking up.

Merry Christmas!
Or as they say in Spanish, Feliz Navidad! Today we celebrate the Christmas holiday with a festive book, Land of Two Christmases, which was published by Oxford University Press in 1965 with 360 copies held for distribution to the Typophiles. The text was written by Harriett Philmus Pitt and discusses the various Christmas traditions celebrated in Puerto Rico, where the books says it is celebrated in both the American and Spanish styles—though I would argue that Puerto Rico has a style all it's own! You can learn all about Christmas and related celebrations in Puerto Rico on the Discover Puerto Rico website.
The illustrations are by Erwin Schachner and were printed using photo-engravings of original linoleum prints. The text was set in Caledonia and letterpress printed on tan laid paper by Marbridge Printing Company, Inc. The book is printed in black and bright pink, making it quite festive though not what most would normally consider to be Christmas colors.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
