While we were out searching for Doctor Who collectibles, we found this big Nine figure. We didn't realise at the time it was actually a WALKIE TALKIE! If the Slitheen had been there, we would have gone back for it.

JUST finished listening to Once and Future: Time Lord Immemorial, or as I think of it, the last Warner Doctor story, and while that's insanely sad to think about, I have other thoughts as well!

However I'm going to put it under the "read more" line because spoilers and stuff Idk.

Okay so first off I think it needs to be said I haven't listened to the rest of Once and Future because while I find the idea very interesting my bank account would quite literally kill me.

SO I'm listening to this in a sort of void, okay where to start. Chris and David are wonderful together, two Doctors that couldn't be better and yet worse paired up. Honestly the biggest crime this story committed was not being longer and not being able to just focus on David and Chris being Doctors together. I was really, really happy that we got that final moment of David in his TARDIS, calling out for Benny and continuing his adventures, just like he will forever be in our hearts and minds.

Now I don't know if I'm just a terrible Big Finish fan and haven't paid enough attention but the Lumiat is a hell of a fun idea! I'm going to have to dig a little and see if she's in more because the idea of an incarnation after Missy deciding that she really wants to be good is just wonderful and honestly I think the show was a little cowardly not to do that and then idk eventually have her regenerate in such a devastating way that she says "fuck that" and becomes the Master again or something. Honestly my only complaint is that I can't see the inside of her TARDIS because I really want to know what the hell Helen meant by her console room being "twinkly" haha.

Story overall? It was fine. Like I said, I'm listening to this in a vacuum and was really only here for David Warner, but I will say the concept of this strange place outside of time with a bunch of weird sandglasses that measure the decay of all the universes is trippy and weird enough that I'm totally down for it.

Sooo~ I started watching Doctor Who. Well, I started watching the revival from 2005 and it is so different from what I expected. I guess I had some misconceptions from the parts and gifs I saw online, but I love it!

Already finished season 1, which is sad bc Christopher Eccelston really grew on me 🥲 I started to watch bc of David Tennant, but now that he's the Doctor it feels weird. How do you guys handle the change every time? 😭

Also, it seems I need to watch Torchwood now as well 🫣

12. Crack headcanon for our beloved 9th Doctor please ☺️

Nine is a MASSIVE Discworld fan, and is especially partial to the City Watch due to Sam Vimes. I mean, I've already made the case repeatedly that Christopher Eccleston would be an amazing Vimes, so it's no stretch for the Ninth Doctor to love that character too. Nine is easily the most Vimesque of all the Doctors.
