just finished watching supernfly -- thoughts!

So, I just finished watching Super Fly, and I have some thoughts!

wow that felt underwhelming in so many ways.

how did curtis mayfield not compose for any other films? the soundtrack def felt like the only aspect of note from the film.

that felt like several films compressed into one film. like, there are aspects that made me think 'oh, that's sort of like goodfellas, that's goodfellas-adjacent', such as with priest quitting, and then like with priest's dynamic with his friends it felt like a separate type of film. the tonal disconnect was insane!

none of the characters really felt all that developed, minus the core few of male characters? the female characters were especially underdeveloped, i had to check wikipedia for their names afterwards, because they aren't really given any time aside from their relationship to priest.

Overall, I wouldn't really recommend it unless you're a major music nerd (the soundtrack is unbelievably great and definitely enhances what little there is to enhance in the film). 3/5 just because I'm a Mayfield superfan.

Couple of beers got me wondering if I should change my writing style?

Like I'm aware i tend to put one bulky paragraphs after another.

should I try like a more carefree approach of writing?

I feel like i worry too much about putting too much dialogues

that I ended up putting too much long complicated awkwardly worded paragraphs instead
