Ok you know about my female Sheppard, tell me about Female Sheppard vs Pining Sheppard
👀👀😏😏
okay so basically this is IDEA LAND ONLY
but, prime McShep are dating in secret bc DADT is the big bad wolf.
Cue a female Sheppard coming into their world. And shes like gorgeous, like imagine the most gorgeous looking John Sheppard female you could and that's her. Angels wept kinda thing. She comes from a world where the female to male ration is like 70-50 or something, so shes a Colonel bc I fucking said so. (feat Female versions of Ronon, Carson, Radek, Aiden, Chuck, Evan, Daniel, Cam and I was gonna do jack but I have issues considering Charlie so I nix'ed him)
But basically, shes there bc her Rodney, her husband, got caught in some Ancient Whammy device and is now sliding between worlds and this is the next one and she has the fix it and she hopes to catch him.
All good, until Rodney walks in mid yelling and just like stops, words trail off. Literally just shuts down at the sight of Female John Sheppard bc shes so hot and blushes and is just like a 10 year old with his first crush.
She finds it cute, John finds it annoying bc OF COURSE RODNEY WOULD THINK SHES HOT AND RODNEY COULD BE WITH A WOMEN IN THE OPEN IF THEY WERENT DATING.
basically its john pining over Rodney and thinking Rodney would be better off without him.
And thats as far as Ive gotten

the chuck x sarah kiss you talked about in the tags is THE PERFECT KISS! i an never remember which episode it's from, do you know by any chance??
It’s from Chuck vs the Colonel, I’m pretty sure! It’s definitely the second-to-last episode of S2, which I know because, uh...I might have watched that scene a couple times a few dozen times.

(Yep. I just typed ‘chuck vs the colonel’ into the gif search and this was the only gif to come up. :D)

I just watched Chuck vs the Colonel for the first time in a while
And is still holds up so well.
Maybe I’m still too in love with this show all these years later to see its faults. Maybe I’m just a fucking sap, but I adore this episode in particular so, so much.
The chemistry between everyone sparkles, and the through line of solidifying the camaraderie between Chuck, Sarah and Casey is beautiful. Seriously, Original Flavor Team Bartowski forever. They start the episode completely fractured and end it a complete unit.
They will, for most of the rest of the series, trust each other implicitly, because they’re not just a unit anymore, they’re fucking family. That final scene in Castle where Chuck and Casey step up to the plate to protect Sarah from getting shitcanned is so good. Neither of them had to do that. Chuck is intersectless, Casey has a promotion. Any other show would have let Sarah hang for what she did. But they are her partners. They are her team and they have her fucking back. And it’s beautiful.
Generally, Sarah isn’t someone who needs to be saved, but she needed the boost in that moment. And they came through big time.
Chuck and Sarah on a romantic level is eighty thousand shades of yes please. Between all of the enthusiastic consent and the respected boundaries, and just how fucking in love they are with each other (Chuck overtly so, and Sarah in small phrases and meaningful glances), it’s literally impossible not to root for them in this episode. You want them to be together, whether it’s in Burbank, on the run, or in a one-bed two-bath padded cell in a government-funded hole in the ground. I don’t care. Just let these two love each other for god’s sake.
(we still have half a season of love triangles, hurt feelings and misunderstandings to get through before that happens. Fucking A.)
The Buy More stuff sparkles this episode as we see Morgan finally get sick and tired of the shit and realizes that he wants better. It’e a beautiful bit of character growth that’s built off two seasons of events and blossoms throughout the episode as we see Morgan get more and more done. The applause he gets at the end isn’t just the residents of Buymoria, but the audience too. You’re free, Morgan! You’re free!
Devon gets a great spotlight in this episode as well, being the first of the extended Bartowski clan to find out about the spy junk. On of my favorite character quirks for Devon is that he is a fucking terrible liar. The big bad ass frat boy who goes white water whatevering and jumping off of high things cannot figure out telling a lie. I have met humans like this. They exist. I have even sent them clips of Devon trying to lie (”IT WAS A BEAR!”) with the reaction of “yes. This is my life.” Now if only we could get Ellie in the action more...
And Chevy Chase chews the scenery beautifully. He’s such a good mustache twirler, it’s ridiculous. While Chevy is a tall dude, he’s not exactly foreboding in his old age, so he knows he has to step up his game when it comes to being a villain and he delivers as both funny and utterly ruthless (”You can eat them if you want to, I don’t care”).
And Scott Bacula plays the super smart but super bumbling Stephen Bartowski so, so well. I only regret that he and Beckman haven’t had any scenes There’s potential for such history there that we don’t get to see.
Vs. the Colonel is still a top 10, if not top 5 episode for me. I still absolutely love it, and I am still completely in love with how this show plays with character dynamics and relationships.

So, I just finished rewatching season 2 of Chuck yesterday and you know what occurred to me? Remember when Chuck and Sarah go on the run in Chuck vs The Colonel and they almost have sex in that motel room but they don’t because Morgan took the condom from Chuck’s wallet?
And then pretty soon after, Casey shows up to take them in?
I think if Morgan hadn’t taken Chuck’s condom, and Chuck and Sarah could’ve continued, Casey would’ve probably busted down their door in the middle of them having sex. Which. Would’ve been awful for everyone involved. So maybe it’s a good thing that Morgan took that condom lmao

Hi Mittens! Happy holidays! I love your meta and I had a question: I've seen you make a couple posts about Miracle lately, and while I'm definitely angry at canon replacing Cas with a dog, I was kind of taken aback at some of your comments about Dean and dogs (specifically how much you seem to hate that combination; I've never felt strongly about it one way or the other). Do you have a tag or post about your feelings on Dean and dogs? Or could you explain in a little more detail, please?
Hi hi!
Dean... has never been associated positively with dogs on this show-- up to and including that scene in Scoobynatural where he does the SCOOBYDOOBYDOOOOO! and Cas rolls his eyes and tells him flat out he’s not a talking dog. I mean, even in one of Sam’s heaven memories, he’s effectively replaced Dean with a dog... so while Dean was being implied-harshly-punished by John for “losing” Sam, Sam had been having the time of his life with a dog instead... Sorry, I’ve got a lot of resentment for dog symbolism in the show...
Cas has also been associated with dogs in a lot of... let’s go with derogatory comments, and since this dog in the finale was SPECIFICALLY a replacement for Cas in Dean’s life... I find it particularly insulting, you know?
5.14: We get dog comments about Cas and Dean both in this ep. Famine refers to Cas as Dean’s dog... “You sicced your dog on me, I threw him a steak.” And we see Cas crouched on the ground eating meat. Earlier in this ep, Sam teased Dean about his lack of any “appetite” for anything with the comment, “when a dog doesn't eat-- That's when you know something's really wrong.“
7.21: after being banished, he reappears at a dog track, where the dogs were unhappy. so... Cas was basically just another unhappy dog in this part of the story.
10.22: Rowena compares Cas to a “dog who thinks he’s people” for being an angel who rejected heaven and chose his family with the Winchesters.
10.23-11.03: Cas is literally under a spell referred to as “Attack Dog,” which he fights against but is slowly turning him into a killing machine. He seeks help from Heaven, but they only want to use him, to torture information out of him and then kill him once they get what they want. It’s implied he even kills a dog in 11.01.
11.06: when Cas is in the bunker still suffering from trauma related to the attack dog spell, lying in bed and watching tv, he changes the channel to a news story about a dog riding a skateboard, and the newscaster uses Rowena’s line from 10.22: “Aw, that dog thinks it’s people!”
12.19: Lucifer refers to Cas as the Winchesters’ “purse dog,” and s12 is littered with dog references, especially between Lucifer and Crowley (which started back in s11 when Lucifer was using Cas’s vessel and treating Crowley like a dog... there’s a lot of negative baggage attached to dogs on this show)
13.16: Scooby is obviously the one dog Dean’s okay with, having positive childhood associations with him. But when comparing themselves to the scooby gang, Sam says they don’t have a talking dog, and Dean replies that Cas is sort of like a talking dog... which is interesting because at the end of the episode Cas tells Dean he’s NOT a talking dog. And this, in a scene that was directly foreshadowing Dean becoming Michael’s suit...again, more negative baggage for both of them.
The Dean vs Dogs imagery really kicks in when Dean’s soul is destined for Hell in s3, though.
3.10: In his rant to his dream self, Dream!Dean accuses Dean of being as “mindless and obedient as an attack dog,” just a few lines before he gives the “daddy’s blunt little instrument” line that Cas reminded us of in 15.18. So I do think this is something that the writers couldn’t possibly have been unaware of in invoking that specific line and the specific baggage attached to it.
3.11, one of the MANY deaths Dean suffers is from a seemingly nice dog he tries to pet in a friendly manner. The nice golden retriever mauls him to death, like the hellhounds are due to do to him in just a few short episodes...
3.16: literally torn apart by hellhounds... don’t know how else to make it clear that Dean Is Not A Fan of this.
4.06: suffering from Ghost Sickness, and being magically forced to experience heightened levels of fear, he runs from a lil Yorkie with a bow in its hair, pausing only long enough to warn another person on the street to run before it kills them. We are invited to see how his biggest fear-- of Lilith, of being tortured in Hell, and having been dragged there by hellhounds-- is literally tied to his feelings toward actual dogs, including nonthreatening little lap dogs.
6.01: When Dean falls under the djinn’s spell, he hallucinates an unseen monster, presumably something akin to a hellhound, but when he thinks he’s caught the monster, it’s the neighbor’s Yorkie. Just like in 4.05, Dogs, Hellhounds, and Things Dean Fears In His Soul are all tangled up together.
6.08: aka that one episode I forget exists until it comes back around on the loop (actually I don’t forget it exists anymore, I’ve seen the show too many times at this point, but meh...). But it does plant this fear, that any dog anywhere might not really be a dog. The “sleeper cell” skinwalker packs in cities all over the world? Yeah, not a happy thought for someone who really doesn’t like dogs. Or at the very least has a low-key fear of them.
7.15: I would qualify this one as just “symbolism,” but since this episode is full of anvils, it feels legit to mention that the spell Jeffrey uses to summon his demon back to him involves using Dean’s blood and a dog’s heart. Not really a dean/fear thing, but Dean AS a dog-- and a sacrificed dog at that.
8.01: When Dean gets back from Purgatory, he gets in the Impala and smells dog. Bringing on the famous rule that he’s quite angry about Sam having clearly violated even when he wasn’t on the same plane of existence at the time-- No dogs in the car. He’s still clearly not a fan. Early s8 becomes a long string of “Sam hit a dog” comments, too.
8.15: for all this episode’s grossness, it does remind us over and over again that Dean really does not like dogs. Even flat out having Dean say he likes dogs, and the woman who literally is a dog familiar tells him that no, he doesn’t.
9.05: Dean... is basically a dog. He bonds with the Colonel a bit, even identifies with the dog while he’s under the spell, but all that good will that built up between them effectively shatters again with the ominous last words he gets before the spell wears off and the knowledge that dogs were not created to be man’s best friend, but had some other-- and in this context seemingly sinister-- purpose.
And then we have every other ep that deals with Hellhounds, Dean’s failure to kill one leading to Sam taking on the trials instead of him, tied up in their mutual discussion of what they see as their respective futures-- Sam wants to live, and he wants Dean to live, too, instead of Dean constantly running toward death and self-sacrifice. So like, these themes are all tied up together, and makes all the dog stuff incredibly not fun when it comes to Dean specifically.
So when Dean does lose Cas-- and everyone else on the planet-- the dog being the ONE living being they’ve found, Dean picking her up and putting her in “Cas’s place” in the car, only to have Chuck snap her away like she was a manipulative trick the entire time? Not even really real, just one more thing to give Dean a tiny bit of hope only to maliciously snatch it away again?
And then for the SINGLE thing Dean asked for from Chuck being to bring Cas back?
And then he doesn’t get Cas back, but apparently kidnaps this random dog instead?
It’s just... indescribably weird to me, and so entirely out of character and insulting to Cas on top of it all. Like this was the only happiness Dean was allowed after saving the universe. No found extended family, no life outside of Sam and hunting, no dream of retiring and finding a beach to sink his toes in the sand for a little while. He just gets a dog, which he canonically doesn’t like and has a lot of issues with for entirely understandable reasons. So like.. .how is this cute or happy or nice?

What is your favourite episode from each season of chuck?
season 1: vs the imported salami (followed closely by vs the truth and vs the alma mater), bc you know, jealous sarah, mid-fight and oh-no-we're-about-to-die first kiss, just, EXCELLENCE
season 2: this is the hardest one bc season 2 is my favorite season and I love almost every episode. the beginning of the season is amazing (2x01, 2x02, 2x03, 2x04 are such strong episodes!!), and I just love the overall storyline with fulcrum and orion. I'm gonna go with vs the colonel (2x21) though which is the obvious choice but honestly I love the episodes I mentioned above as much as this one.
season 3: vs the other guy (3x13). I mean... chuck thinking sarah is in danger at the beginning and taking an entire army with him to save her?? "I appreciated the tank"?? chuck and sarah FINALLY getting together?? sarah learning that she killed shaw's wife and then going on a mission in paris with him?? morgan being the one who sees that shaw is faking everything and is actually with the bad guys?? that whole sequence in paris with sarah paralyzed and chuck, who never wanted to kill anyone, killing shaw to save her?? while that beautiful and heartbreaking song is playing?? and then the last scene in the hotel room which feels like the well earned happy ending of a movie?? yeah that episode is amazing.
season 4: vs phase three. sarah going FERAL bc chuck was taken and she does everything in her power, even breaking rules, to find him!! and she discovers about his proposal plan!! and then she finds him with the help of morgan and casey and finally tells him that she doesn't care if he has the intersect or not and wakes him up with a kiss!!! and just yvonne's acting in this episode being stellar
season 5: that one is hard bc I've only seen season 5 three times and the last time was a while ago so... but I know that I loved the christmas episode bc douchebag shaw is back and we got another fight between him and chuck, but this time chuck beat him without the intersect so it was even more pleasing (also ellie ending the fight just like sarah did in s3, we love good parallels). and ofc chuck vs the baby. I feel like this episode is a bit darker than what this show usually gave us. I loved knowing more about sarah's backstory once again. and finally meeting her mom. that flashback scene when she asks her mom to give the little girl all the things she couldn't have as a kid? yeah that scene broke me.

Don’t think about how Chuck wasn’t wearing his Nerd Herd uniform in vs the Colonel, so Sarah must have had clothes packed for him in her go bag already...
Definitely don’t think about how long before she might have done that.
