❥ Who was interested first: you

Isagi would be too in his head to notice your growing crush on him. He’s lucky you’re attracted to his ambition and talent, because he’s definitely the dense type to let flirting fly over his head. Hang in there.

❥ Who confessed first: him

After (finally) picking up on your (heavy-handed) cues, he tries to strategize the perfect way to step up your friendship and ask you to go on a date with him as a partner. He had it all figured out. Where he’d take you, what he’d say, what you’d say, etc. He ran the outcomes like the true strategist he is. But you show up in an outfit that makes his brain melt and he gets so anxious and tongue-tied in the moment that he basically just blurts out “will you go out with me?” instead of the rehearsed speech he had in mind. It’d be easier for him to play in a tie-breaking internationally-streamed match than try to be suave. Luckily for him, you already had him all figured out (he was sweating bullets and acting so stiff, after all) and was just waiting for your opportunity to say ‘yes’.

Once again, he had this masterful plan that crumbled to pieces when he actually had to put it into action. His nerves just aren’t adapted to dealing with you. Something about you makes him short-circuit and go blank, and it’s adorable to have Yocchan in the palm of your hand. While he’s stuck on the details of trying to direct the perfect first kiss, brow furrowed and quiet in his thoughts, you lean over and gently press a kiss to his cheek. He basically explodes, before getting shy and upset that you beat him to it when he wanted to kiss you. He doesn’t realize that you’re smart enough to know how to play him; you just need to make it a competition, and he immediately plays along. He’s inexperienced and you’re his first, but he learns quickly… about how to ‘devour’ you.

❥ Who was interested first: you

He’s popular amongst the masses because of his height, good looks, athletic talent, academic smarts, and other wildly impressive traits. You never thought you had a chance in high heaven with him, so you settled for having a crush at a distance. You nurtured your feelings privately and had fun in your daydreams of dating the pro athlete. It was already enough for you to even meet him, but to imagine that he actually wants you to stick around?! That definitely made you feel shy, but he reassures you (and makes you fall even harder, dammit) by telling you that you make him feel comfortable. 

❥ Who confessed first: him

Nagi probably assumes that the two of you are together without actually establishing it because he thought it was obvious that he liked you back. He ends up announcing your supposed relationship during a live interview, which blows up your phone to the point where you have to delete your apps because they kept crashing. He properly asks you to be his partner after the misunderstanding, sheepishly offering flowers and a plushie of your favourite Pokémon as an apology. He looks like he feels genuinely bad about it, so how could you not forgive him? He isn’t a smiley person, but he can’t stop grinning when you tell him you’re happy to be his significant other.

It would be very casual. He’d give you a sleepy peck on the cheek that flusters you because of how out of the blue it is. He’d have the nerve to look confused about why you’re so worked up about it and does the temperature check thing with his hand while peering deep into your eyes to see what’s making you so nervous—as if it’s not him. When you mutter that you were expecting him to ask, he asks you point blank if he can kiss you again. This is the moment where he realizes he’s addicted to making you blush because of him.

❥ Who was interested first: him

He basically saw you and immediately went “I want that one”. He does everything he can to get your attention and get close to you. He’s not shy about pestering you to spend time with him and asks you specifically to cheer him on. This strategy backfires. His attempts to court you are so direct that you end up not taking him seriously, assuming he’s joking around like usual. He complains about this to anybody that’ll listen or tolerate staying in the same room as him as he whines about you not getting the hint.

Bachi’s impatient and confesses way too soon. Even though you kindly reject him the first time, he persists. You end up becoming friends first despite knowing about his romantic feelings for you, and over time you start to develop them too. After all, he’s so nice to you and genuinely cares about you and making you smile. It’d be impossible not to fall in love with him. When you finally tell him that you’re starting to feel the same way and can return his affections, he’s over the moon. He never gave up.

He was so desperately touch-starved for physical touch that he asks to kiss you, his voice actually quiet and uncharacteristically serious for once, maybe some few minutes after you officially become his significant other. He opens an eye to peek at your expression after leaning in, which makes his heart stutter like it always does whenever he’s around you. It’s like he can’t believe this is actually happening even though he’s been trying to get you to fall in love with him like he fell for you on day one. He holds you so tightly it’s like he’s scared you’re going to vanish and he’ll realize it was fake—the way you lean into him tells him that you’re not.

He has a striking look that caught your eye immediately. He’s used to getting confessions and is exceedingly popular, so you didn’t think you were special for liking him and never entertained the notion that he would like you back. It was important to you and him that you maintained a good friendship, but that platonic bond was quick to blur into something that was intimate in a different way.

Chigiri has seen a lot of shoujo anime and knows the tricks and tips inside out. He gives you a picture perfect confession. The two of you go out in yukata to attend a matsuri/summer festival, your hair both tied back in ornate styles that complimented each other’s look. You play games together (where he wins you all the prizes you ask for) and share street food. He wipes powdered sugar off your lip with a thumb and laughs at your expression. When the fireworks burst out over the night sky, he reaches for your hand and squeezes it tightly. After all the noise has cleared, he asks you to be his partner. It’s romantic, and maybe it’s cheesy, but you happily say yes.

You cannot tell me he wouldn’t try a kabedon on you. Though he is very gentle with you and never aggressive, he does know exactly what to do to make your knees weak. He presses a fist on the doorframe above your head, simpering down at you, hair falling over his face, the pink only accentuating the burning look he gives you. He leans in slowly, giving you a chance to back out or ask him to stop, but you don’t. The kiss is very passionate and befitting of somebody that values chivalry and caring for your partner as much as he does.

❥ Who was interested first: him

You first piqued his interest by making a sassy quip when he accidentally ignored you. He’s still getting used to the whole “be nice” concept but still doesn’t care much for people who aren’t involved in the soccer world. You’re one of the first to be noticed by him, even though the two of you are so different. He’s rarely this curious about somebody that isn’t a sports rival.

Rin would rather die than show somebody that he’s vulnerable, so even if it’s quite evident that he has romantic feelings for you, he simply pretends he doesn’t. You basically have to sit him down and say, word for word, “I like you and want to be with you” before he can work up the nerve to face his own feelings. He’s so used to people he loved leaving him that he’s terrified of going through the same hurt. He thought it’d be better off never even trying than having it fail or get rejected. The last thing he wants is to drive off another person he’s starting to care about. But then he looks at you and feels like a total idiot for denying himself the chance to be with you in the first place. He starts to bet on faith and love again. Even though he’s still scared of rejection or having a falling out, he’s willing to risk the heartbreak if he can have the chance to be with you.

He lives by philosophy. He doesn’t lose, and he doesn’t waste time. Inefficiency is worthless to him. Your first kiss with him is  surprisingly not awkward; he drops you off at your place after a quiet date and chastely presses a goodbye kiss to your lips with his finger guiding your chin up. He steels himself to sprint away after such an out of character display of affection, but is shocked (and surprisingly cooperative) when you grab the collar of his coat and pull him in for a deeper one.

❥ Who was interested first: him

He did not want to like you at first. You always teased him and never took him seriously; it was an emasculating experience for him since he was so used to having his way. But that annoyance meant he never stopped thinking about you, and sure enough, in true enemies to friends to lovers fashion… that “I hate them” began to morph into the panic of “Oh god, wait. Do I like them?”

❥ Who confessed first: him

He, delulu, definitely ruined more than a couple of flowers (and toothbrushes) to try and divine if “they love me, they love me not”. If the last pull ended up on “not”, he would immediately find another one and keep going until it landed on “they love me”. He’s so emotional and almost pathetic when he asks you out, a hot mess of a tsundere if you’ve ever seen one. He moreso declares that the two of you are together instead of really asking. He fully expected you to make fun of him like you always did, but you treated him with a lot more gentle patience which only sealed his fate of being head over heels in love with you. 

❥ Who initiated the first kiss: you

Even though Reo’s obsessed with you, you’re the one who kisses him first, mainly just to see his reaction when he’s caught off guard. He gets so flustered so easily and demands, stuttering, that you “explain yourself this instant!” Your explanation is another kiss, which just about makes him pass out. You kiss him when he tries to retaliate, cutting off every attempt of his to start a sentence until finally he gets the cue to shut up and accept your love. His face is so petulant when you’re done, but he’s too proud to ask you to kiss him again, so he ends up taking a leaf out of your book and moving in to take what he wants.

♡ Yoichi Isagi

❥ He always wants to match. Matching sweaters, jerseys, jewelry, cups, pens, shoes, underwear—whatever. It doesn’t matter how cheesy it is. The subtle ones, like a small initial stitched into the sleeve, also make him happy. It makes him feel connected to you, a visual reminder that he’s your one person, and reassures him that you feel the same about him. He also feels like he has a boring sense of fashion and wears anything you want him to, and you can tell he’s a lot more confident with your help since people have noticed that he dresses well. 

❥ He wants you to mark yourself onto his things too so that even when you’re apart he has visual cues of you. He daydreams about sportscasters gossiping about whom the signature scrawled onto his dominant foot’s cleat belongs to. 

❥ He loves when he catches hints of your perfume or other fragrances rubbed off onto him. He’s addicted to your smell for sure. He cuddles up to you extra hard and close in the hopes that it’ll stick to his clothes. 

❥ He always gives you his hoodies and would basically rip the clothes off his body if you said you were cold, but it’s extra special to him if he notices you wearing something of his that you took yourself because you wanted to. You look way better with his shirts oversized on you than he does.

❥ He knows your ring size and has it written down on a cloud-saved note so he wont forget. That same note has detailed descriptions of what he’s heard you mention you like over the years. He remembers the day that he decided he wanted to marry you. He plans to surprise you with the perfect ring and holds himself to incredibly high standards. He can hardly wait for the day you’ll have matching rings on the same finger. 

♡ Seishiro Nagi

❥ Physical touch wasn’t that important to him until he met you. After that, he’s always finding some way to touch you. He likes holding your hand and being taller than you; he finds you cutest when you’re right next to his side, looking up at him with that smile that makes him feel so safe. 

❥ He really likes back massages. It’s a domestic, intimate but non-sexual, and inherently human interaction that he treasures. He gets so childishly excited whenever you offer and basically flops down so you can climb on. He always ends up falling asleep with you kneading his back, and he’s always sore somewhere from all the training he’s putting himself through. When he returns the favour for you, he always does it so lightly as if he’s scared of hurting you, especially over any knots or pressure points. You can almost feel his nervousness. But, after listening to your cues, he works out the perfect pressure with you. 

❥ He demands hugs and kisses. He is not shy about PDA, but he (begrudgingly) listens to you when you remind him that there’s a right place and a right time. On the busy rush hour train, he likes when you hang onto the crook of his elbow, unable to reach a pole or hand-held loop. When you step down from something, he always puts out a hand to steady you. His knee always finds a way to brush yours under a table. Sometimes you’ll feel him poking you even if he’s looking away while you’re busy talking to somebody else, like a bratty kid forcing you to give him attention instead of the other person.

❥ He’s usually low energy and likes long, slow embraces. In the morning, he basically won’t let you get up unless you really try to squeeze out his arms. He likes how you’ll let him touch and hold you however he wants when in private, since he can’t do this in public. When he’s excited and exhausted, though, like after winning a huge match—he loses his inhibition and sprints to you, kissing you so deeply it knocks the two of you into the turf. It’d probably go viral and they’d make a GIPHY out of it, which was embarrassing at first, but it’s an immortalization of how much Nagi, one of the world’s best soccer players in history, loves you.

♡ Meguru Bachira

❥ He’s obsessed with finding ways to make you laugh. Your laugh is his favourite thing in the entire world, even over soccer or sleep. He knows how to tell the most ridiculously bad jokes or pranks that they’re actually hilarious. He makes weird faces and noises and has no concept of bashfulness. He doesn’t feel like he needs to water himself down around you, or that he has to be scared that you’ll get fed up with him and leave. It took him a long time to trust you to that extent, so he’s willing to protect you with everything he’s got, because he knows you’d do the same for him. 

❥ It took him practice to learn about being tactful, but he’s the only person you turn to after a bad day. He’s so unbreakably upbeat that you snap out of your mood with ease, something that might be challenging to do on your own. He makes you dance with him to move your body. He gets you into the shower and helps you wash your hair, humming your favourite songs and using your favourite soaps. He’ll try to make you a dinner, though it’d probably end up burning. He always has back-up takeout from your favourite place, though, and at least he tried for you. No matter how difficult, tiring, challenging, or grieving the day was… he always manages to make you smile again. He refuses to stop trying until he does.

❥ He can’t stand being away from you, even for a day. He always asks you to come to his games, even if they’re international, so that he can still come home to you. He’s mature enough to understand that you have obligations and can’t pick up and go every time, even if you want to, but it doesn’t stop him from asking with high hopes. Once, you tricked him by pretending you had important work and couldn’t go to Brazil with him. You hugged him at the airport and gave him the “last kiss of good luck for a week” he begged for before he left. You showed up in the stands right in front of his team’s box with a cheesy handmade sign that killed you with mortification when it showed up on the big screen—but the way he almost cried with happiness seeing you is worth it.

♡ Hyoma Chigiri

❥ He is a big fan of the quiet romance. His off days are his absolute favourite. The two of you will dress up to go to a cute cafe in the morning and enjoy each other’s drinks, sipping the others and discussing the flavours. You enjoy brunch at another place, somewhere elegant with bright decor and tasty food that uplifts your face. You check out a vintage bookstore and the ultra-modern mall. You go home and relax together after that. Some evenings you would both be so enraptured by a new anime you’d both be up in the middle of the night binge watching because neither of you can bear to go to bed with such cliffhangers. Other days you cook in the kitchen together, listening to music and chopping vegetables before enjoying the fruits of your labour. Some days he reads while you play a game, the two of you silent, but incredibly together.

❥ Ever since he hurt his knee, he’s always been wary to see anybody he loves endure that same traumatic pain. He worries about your health like an anxious mom. When you get a cold, he all but drops everything to make you feel better. He brews you a ginger and lemon tea even though he hates the smell of it; he gets you medicine and makes you drink water in bed, refusing to let you leave. If you have work, he makes you call in sick and promises to take care of whatever responsibilities you might’ve had that day.

❥ As we all know, he is masterful at skin and hair care. He practically pampers you every day and is strict about making you follow his regime. It gives you such baby-soft, clear, and dewy skin that you can’t deny his magic works. Your hair is glossier than ever, too. He likes the time the two of you scan spend together in the bathroom: washing your face together, doing a mask and laughing at each other’s ridiculous look, chatting about the day, massaging your temples, etc. He’s always so busy in the day that he can’t spend as much time as you as he’d like to, so the moment of getting ready for bed becomes almost like a sacred ritual with you. 

♡ Rin Itoshi

❥ He’s terrible with words, and at texting, and at calling… so he writes them down by hand. He has excellent penmanship that makes you jealous of how pretty it is; he writes in calligraphy, which is definitely extra, but it’s Rin so of course it’ll be dramatic. 

❥ You end up amassing drawers of his letters because you don’t throw any away. Often times he’s away, travelling, so you get postcards from all the different places he visits. He’s made this a tradition—his teammates always make fun of him for making a point to stop by a souvenir shop so he can get you a postcard. Sometimes he includes pressed flowers or a regional specialty snack in the letter.

❥ Some of his messages are short sticky notes on your mirror, like: “remember to eat well” or “home late”. Some are long, sappy love letters with words so raw and passionate you can hardly believe it comes from the hand of a guy who can barely say “I love you” out loud without grimacing or turning away. 

❥ If you speak or are learning another language besides English or Japanese, he researches how to write to you in it without being grammatically incorrect. It’s just as poetic as his writing in the languages he is fluent in. 

❥ Despite investing most of his time and energy into soccer, he’s quite good at art. He writes you poems that make you blush because you can hardly believe somebody loves you like the way he describes it in his abstractive writing. He might also include sketches, his style very neat with almost perfect realism. He draws you most often because you inspire his desire to create something beautiful and soft the most.

❥ Money is of no concern to him. If he sees you put something back because it was “too expensive”, he’ll get it for you. If you try to refuse, he sneaks it back to you as a surprise gift that he refuses to let you return. He loves seeing your face when you open gifts from him. It’s worth more to him than any price tag, which he reminds you of sternly if you ever feel guilty.

❥ He loves to take you shopping for this reason; seeing you happy, energetic, and finally being able to afford everything you’ve ever wanted when you weren’t born into the same circumstances as he was makes him embarrassingly giddy. He feels important to you. The quality time is precious; he treats shopping dates with you as importantly as a candlelit dinner. 

❥ He loves to sit on the “boyfriend chair” and show off his strength by holding all your bags. He insists you go into every store you want to and never makes you feel bad for taking your time browsing. He’s actually quite helpful in stores with you, even if it’s for stereotypically girly things like makeup. He loves getting to answer you if you ask him which he likes better on you, even if he wants to just say “both”.  

❥ He has an instinct to mark you as his so he can visually cue other men to back off. It’s in the branded jewelry the two of you picked out together, the violet silk scarves, the dresses that he picked for you to wear to your dinner date. You being able to say “oh, my boyfriend got me this” whenever people compliment you or ask really kicks up his ego.

❥ His favourite part of the day is when you put on a mini fashion show for him, trying on outfits he picked out for you. He’s got a surprisingly good eye for fashion and knows your styles and aesthetics well. He’s too selfish to pass up a chance to see you in what he wants to see you wear, though. Sometimes it really pushes you out of your comfort zone, but the pleased expression on his face makes all your insecurities vanish. He makes you feel so incredibly beautiful in his eyes.

KNY Love Languages HCs: Expressing & Receiving

♡ Kyojuro Rengoku ♡

❥ Expressing: Words of Affirmation

Kyojuro is known for his loud, cheery outbursts, and declarations of love would be no different. He believes that speaking words into existence is important, which is why he always knows the right thing to say even when others are at a loss. In familial and platonic terms, he encourages and praises enthusiastically to offer them strength. For his lover, expect constant compliments that seem endless because he’s just that in love with you. He speaks fondly of you to everybody who will listen—and will go on forever, even when people eventually stop listening. Especially in this period of Japan, saying “I love you” to your partner is not commonplace, but Kyojuro doesn’t care about those types of traditions. He’d go to the mountains to shout it with his entire chest so it echoes to the heavens: I love you!

❥ Receiving: Physical Touch

In return, Kyojuro needs physical touch as reassurance, even if he himself doesn’t realize this. His mother passed while he was young and his father doesn’t seem the type to dole out physical affection. Kyojuro has probably had to go through his entire life avoiding touch because he was bred to be a warrior. “Touch” means death if the demon gets its hands on you. The crossing of blades is inherently violent. That’s why touch is the most intimate thing you can do for him. At first, he’d probably instinctively flinch away even if you were just brushing his hair. He’d probably try to hide the many scars on his body from you because he doesn’t want people to worry about him. But if you persist, you will find that even the mighty Flame Pillar positively melts into his lover’s hands. It might even make him cry with how tenderly you hold him, years of pent up responsibility too great for one man finally shedding from his shoulders.

♡ Giyu Tomioka ♡

❥ Expressing: Gifts

Giyu is terrible at conveying his feelings through words and it stresses him out to even think about what to say or the right way to stand or how to arrange his facial expression—etc. It’s easiest for him to be able to pick out a gift for his loved ones at his leisure in private. He’s awkward and clumsy whenever giving out these gifts, the type to pretend like he just ‘happened upon it’ or ‘doesn’t need it anymore’ while tossing it your way. Often times you’ll just end up getting something delivered by his crow because he was too shy to give it to you face-to-face. His gifts are always incredibly thoughtful and represent how he cares and thinks about you even when you’re not in front of him. His gifts range from pressed wildflowers in your favourite colour that he picked on his way to missions to expensive hair pins that he spent way too much time agonizing over in front of impatient vendors. To him, gifts have to be absolutely perfect to properly express his feelings so they can speak for him when words fail. Your home is probably full to the brim with things Giyu has gifted you, even if he will flat-out deny that he got them specifically for you. 

❥ Receiving: Words of Affirmation

Even if he pretends like words don’t matter to him, they do. They mean the world to him, who has always been tongue-tied. It might feel like you’re talking to a wall because he lacks the skills to reciprocate or react, but he has always been a listener, and your words have a far greater impact on him than he’ll ever let on. As a survivor who has lost many friends and all his family, he’s gotten used to silence. He’s spent years stewing in his own guilt and shame with nobody to tell him otherwise. Kindness slowly starts to break him out of it. Sweet nothings of good work today or your hair looks soft to heartfelt, moving declarations of why you love him matter so much to him. He constantly repeats the memories of what you’ve said to himself in his head when you’re not around until they’re burnt into his thoughts like mantras. Look closely enough and you might even notice his ears tinge a bit red if you compliment him hard enough. 

♡ Tengen Uzui ♡

❥ Expressing: Gifts

Expect the gaudiest, ‘flashiest’ presents he can find. His philosophy is ‘the bigger the better’, so what better way to express his appreciation than by gifting nothing but the best to those he loves? Tengen is extremely self-assured and trusting of his loved ones, but he also takes pride in the act of ‘marking’. Seeing you wear the things he bought for you, knowing that they’re presents from him, and that everybody else will all see it and talk about it makes him feel smug. After that life of constantly suppressing his emotions and personality and hiding in shadows, he wants everybody to know that you’re his and envy you for having such a wonderful partner. 

❥ Receiving: Quality Time

Tengen doesn’t have a lot of time to spare. Missions from the ninja village and then missions as a demon slayer kept him on his feet and away from home. He probably never felt like he’s had a home to go back to, living a nomadic life. Since he doesn’t have a physical place to call home, he seeks out that comfort in his people. Some days are as flashy and extra as he is and he’ll drag his partner(s) to festivals and events, showing off, flexing on any other foolish men that might look your way, shouting drunkenly over the din of izakayas, the whole shebang. Some moments are quiet and intimate in different ways: one on one tea ceremonies, picking out a kimono together, quiet walks by the river. Time with others is something he learnt to never take granted since he knows he—or you—could die at any moment. 

♡ Tanjiro Kamado ♡

❥ Expressing: Acts of Service

Tanjiro is the eldest son and is used to taking care of his much younger siblings. Grandmas and grandpas probably loved him in the village for always helping out without even being asked. It comes naturally to him to express his love in this way to everybody. Whether you ask him to or not, Tanjiro needs to keep himself busy with tasks and will go above and beyond to take care of things so other people won’t have to. He’s a handyman who can probably fix anything that’s broken, and if he can’t, he’ll learn how. He’s strong as a bull and always wants to carry things for others, saying it’s for his training if they refuse. Tanjiro hates owing people, so he feels proud when you let him do things for you or ask him for favours because it feels like you can trust him enough to rely on him. He’s a family man and probably dreams of having an adoring partner and a huge family of his own; he’d be happiest when his partner can rest peacefully while his kids play together without a care in the world. 

❥ Receiving: Quality Time

As an extrovert and somebody who’s always had a big family, he needs to be around others and probably hates being alone. The feeling of loneliness might be one of his biggest fears because it stirs up the awful memories of what happened the last time he left by himself. He needs to constantly keep the people he loves in his sight to feel reassured that nothing bad has happened to them. It doesn’t matter if it’s just quietly reading in the same room or doing activities together, as he cherishes any time he gets to spend with you. He’s obsessed with seeing your smile and the way your expressions change. You’ll be able to catch him staring at your face with a lovestruck smile if he lets his guard down. He sticks to you like glue when he’s off missions, as if to make up for lost time. Heaven to him would be by your side doing nothing at all.

You can already see it in the way he clings to the people he cares about. He would be the kind of partner that always finds a way to hold your hand in public, sit in the seat right beside you, kiss you in front of others, etc. He demands to have his head in your lap whenever you’re kneeling and it’s his favourite place in the world because it’s the only place where he actually feels safe. If he had it his way he’d probably hug you until he fell asleep wrapped around you. Zenitsu spent a childhood being touch-starved, so the intimacy of having an emotional connection with another human being is extremely meaningful to him. He expresses his love with physical touch and feels the most loved when it’s reciprocated. I expect he was a horrible kisser to begin with, but he learns quickly and gives you all kinds: sweet fast ones peppered all over your face and body; affectionate snuffs on the top of your head; delicate butterfly kisses with his lashes on your cheeks; long, deep ones where it feels like you’ve melded into one. Nothing matters to him more than the feeling of being next to his lover and it’s what he fights for. A lover that welcomes his touches & initiates them too instead of turning away would make him feel most loved.

Inosuke’s relationships are unconventional, but you already knew that. Love is a concept that he has to struggle to wrap his head around, but even if he doesn’t realize it himself, he is actually pretty good at it. His personality scares most people off, which he doesn’t care about since they were ‘too weak to respect anyways’… or something. Those that stick around may receive things that don’t quite make sense at first, like random branches or herbs from the forest. Look a little closer and you’ll realize that the wood blocks are perfect to be used for firewood, and they’d be too heavy for you to collect all at once on your own; the herbs have healing properties and only grow in specific conditions, so it takes a trained eye to harvest. You’ll have to approach him in a different way because he claims he hates being told what to do, but he absolutely jumps at any opportunity to show off or impress you. Instead of “could you clear out the snow?”, you’d say “wow, it’s so tiring to clear out all this snow!”—lo and behold, he’s already raging outside, determined to decimate the snow banks that dared to have the audacity to bother you.

❥ Receiving: Words of Affirmation

Fluffy, soft Inosuke may be a rare sight for some, but it's quite easy to get him that way when you embarrass him with sweet words. He definitely would not be used to somebody complimenting him because it’s not like he was raised that way. He might even reject your words at first, believing that you’re either lying to him or mistaken. But beneath the mask and bluster he’s quite sensitive and receptive. Reassurance and praise are both important to him, and as he gains more comrades he starts to believe in himself more and value protecting others. Your words that remind him of his worth affect him greatly, and he would do absolutely anything to protect somebody that he views as angelic for being nice enough to say kind words to him. It also doesn’t hurt when he has a cheerleader to constantly tell him that he’s really cool and better than everybody else.
