if i was a star and you were a star i would wink at you and blink at you and twinkle at you and the earthlings would call it science.

I've been wondering lately how the portrayal of Dracula's facial hair from the book to film adaptations changed so much and if there is a logical reason for it that I'm just completely blind to.
It's been a decent while since I've read the book but I remember he started off being described as 'clean shaven save a long white moustache' and later on in the book he is described by the zookeeper as having a pointed beard with a few white streaks,,
This along with various other things I took away as Dracula gaining vitality and youth as he, yk, drinks more people, over the course of the book. The facial hair though ofc is not a super prominent thing being only mentioned twice, unless I forgot one, but I thought it would've been a great thing to use as a visual representation of him gaining strength. Instead, it seems to be the total opposite direction and almost no Dracula films have facial hair at all, which confuses me probably more than it should.

hey, how is it over there?
the moon is out here. i drink my tea.
i watch something until it’s late until
something forms around me and it’s your name
how are you? are you breathing well?
i find there are pieces of me missing they come out in the shape of you and
i don’t find myself angry over it.
i’ll take whatever i can get to remind myself you were here, before, right where i am too.
if i sit still long enough i can almost
feel the lint of your sweater,
the soft wallow of your bones.
hey, hi, hello.
what can i say to you that others have not already said?
how can i greet you with more than just a welcome,
more than just a come here, more than just. words.
i need better declarations! confessions of some sort that reek of every drenched feeling i am overcome by when i think of you.
what i mean to say is
i’m going crazy. okay. hello. i’m out of my mind in love.
come over. i’ve got the bandaid,
and the tape and the old record player going
i can take those wounds turn them over. covered. i can break these walls
until you can see over what has happened and past it.
i love you. ill hold you. i promise to be better than what you know

It’s hard for me to take Lord of the Flies seriously because no matter what happens the moment I remember they’re a bunch of British middle schoolers, everything they do my reaction is just “goofy ahh”.

It is July, somehow and I still haven't asked you for coffee. It's too warm for coffee now and maybe we're too old for ice cream.

i'm going to graduate high school in two days
nobody told me the TRUE pain from graduating high school: leaving behind the library :(
there are books that I did read, but there are specific versions (looking at you The Brothers Karamazov and Moby-Dick) that look like they've been SO LOVED; there is a FIRST EDITION COPY of East of Eden and I didn't read it :(
during the last few days of school, I sorted ALL of the shelves since the books were uneven in their rows; there's an aperture in my soul because multiple people will discover their own literary discoveries, and I've only seen a glimpse of this feeling :(
I found a love confession as a bookmark for Leaves of Grass and I nearly cried on the spot :(
while sorting the shelves, I stuck out my favorite books by a semi-noticeable margin in hopes that others will do the same :(
:(

✨Review✨ . Not so much a #review as it is just me writing about having read this classic and having loved it so much. It has become a very dear book to me now that I’ll be revisiting in the christmas to come. What can I say about a Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It’s not like I can spoil anything. It’s a beautiful story about love and the value of relationships, set in the happiest time of the year and it was a treat to read! . What’s your favorite holiday book?🎄✨ . #christmas #achristmascarol #christmaschallenge #books #bookstagram #bookish #bookworm #booksbooksbooks #coffeandbooks #bookstagramer #newbookstagram #booksandcoffee #bibliophile #literature #classic #classiclit #bookreview #bookrecommendations #charlesdickens #girlswhoread #bookblogger #bookblog #bookclub #instareads #booktok (at Madrid, Spain) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cml2sn1N0z8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
