tell me why me and these two girls in my class (we're gonna call them asparagus and nori) are talking about the future and they're going "oh, i wanna have kids! i wanna get married!" and when I SAY:

"i don't wanna have kids. they're painful to get out, they cost a lot of money, and why would i spend my life looking after someone else?" AND "i wanna date, but i don't wanna get married. marriage sounds too restrictive for me."

YEAH when I SAY that asparagus and nori go: "ew, but you're gonna be lonely and sad. you'll be like those old ladies with only cats for company. sucks to be you."

LIKE GIRL. I DON'T GET IT. FIRST OF ALL, KEEP YOUR NASTY OPINIONS TO YOURSELF. SECOND OF ALL, WHY THE HELL WOULD I BE SAD? YOU WILL BE STRESSED AS FUCK RAISING YOUR LIL KIDS. YOUR HUSBAND'S GONNA STRESS YOU OUT. BEING A MOM AND A WIFE IS GONNA STRESS YOU OUT.

AND I DID SAY I WOULD LOVE TO DATE PEOPLE. JUST NOT GET MARRIED. AND I HAVE FRIENDS, FOR GOODNESS SAKE. WHAT DO YOU THINK, I'M GONNA SIT AROUND IN MY LITTLE FLAT ALL MY LIFE WITH FOURTEEN CATS???

and getting married means tying your identity to someone else, especially if you're a woman. when people see me with my potential husband they're gonna go "hi, mrs. _____!" my husband's name is gonna go first in all the legal stuff we do together and shit. Wraith, offended: *opening his mouth*

Phantom, tiredly putting a hand over Damian’s mouth: *in ASL + one hand* you don’t think I tried to stop him?

Red Huntress: he’s a child, Phantom, how hard could it be?

Phantom: looks down at Wraith

Wraith: looks up at Phantom with the eyes of a hundred enraged bulls

Phantom, kneeling down to Wraith and pulling his mask up to show his mouth: *whispering inaudibly*

Wraith: *takes off in the opposite direction*

Phantom, standing up to Red: *ASL* well? go get him

Tucker: you like it long because he lets you do whatever you want to it

Sam: it’s also a stand against the oppressive stereotype that men can’t have long hair and must always have it short in order to appear masculine! Danny’s showing individuality and sticking it to the patriarchy at the same time!

Danny: and because I let you do whatever you want to it.

Sometimes I think to myself "actually maybe I'm exaggerating the terror I felt from being stalked", but then I remember that the person in question followed me and waited for me outside my school every day, tracked me down on every website I'd spent even the slightest time on, left physical letters in my mailbox, sent creepy as hell novel length messages on a near daily basis on FB. And then when I was living abroad and I answered the phone I told the caller to text me cause I couldn't hear, after which I had to read "I was saying that you would probably be VERY scared if you knew who's calling... hehe" with my own damn fucking eyes...

I think so

While I don't have anything exact idea on who would be able to handle a meltdown/shutdown, i do think there is some experience, they are Slug Slingers and while the Laws of the Wild west may apply to Slugterra more often than nought, talking someone down or out of a fire fight is an important skill, one that can be translated to helping someone calm down.

So, Topo Gigio was created in 1959 for a tv show, and it was so loved he ended up in different tv shows, i remember him from Zecchino d'Oro (international singing contest for children and first time i heard the te deum as a child).

He recorded songs, was the main character in movies, co-hosted shows, even was the main character in a japanese anime from the 80s (here's the italian opening).

Virtually everyone has heard of him, and he's so unproblematic and nice basically everyone likes him.
