Hiii, I’ve been following you as clearlyromance for a while and I’ve always really enjoyed your blog!! Your drabbles you’ve been doing are so cool, I could never keep up with that lol. I have blonde curly hair and hazel eyes, I’m average height and prefer historical romances! My favorite tropes are friends to lovers, fake engagement, and the whole ‘oh no there’s only one bed, I guess we have to share’ thing

“Please come up here. You’re going to catch your death on the floor.”

He gritted his teeth and forced himself not to look over his shoulder at her. “I’m fine, thank you.”

‘Jacob, I can see you shivering from across the room,” her voice was more annoyed than wheelding and he was glad for it. “You don’t have to worry about my reputation. No one even knows that we’re together, it will be fine.”

Except it wouldn’t be. Because Jacob had recently realized that he was madly in love with his best friend and now they were stuck in a hunting cabin together and it was raining like the world was ending. Helping peel her out of her wet sopping gown and installing her the cabin’s single bed had been difficult enough. Now the gown hung over the back of a chair in front of the fire, a persistent reminder that she was only wearing her chemise, challenging his determination to resist the temptation to crawl into bed with her every time he opened his eyes.

So he kept his eyes screwed shut and prayed for the rain to stop. He would not think about her sparkling hazel eyes or the trust in them when she looked up at him and asked if he would help her undress. He would not think about the pale pink the skin of her shoulders and back had been as he unbuttoned her and loosened her stays. He would not think about how her blonde curls would have dried by now or how they would fall enticingly down her back. He would not think about how warm and soft she would be if he laid in bed and pulled her into his arms.

He would not, even though he wanted to more than he wanted his next breath.

He was so focused on keeping himself from joining her in the bed that he didn’t even register that she’d joined him on the floor until she had pressed her body along the length of his back and her arm wrapped around his middle.

“Stubborn idiot,” she grumbled against the back of his neck and nearly making him jump out of his skin.

“Go back to bed, you goose,” he managed to grit out. “There’s no sense in you freezing too.”

“Jacob, I’m just as cold in that big bed as you are here on the floor,” she said, shifting behind him. Her blonde curls were indeed dry now and they whispered over his skin as she leaned over his shoulder so that she could look him in the eye. “Come to bed with me.”

She didn’t mean it the way he wanted her to, but she’d weakened his resolve by joining him on the floor. He could deny her nothing, not even this.

“Get up then,” he said with a sigh as he pushed himself upright. “Ridiculous creature. You’re going to regret this in the morning.”

She gave him a secretive little smile that set his pulse racing. “I find that highly unlikely.”

Hi!! I'm relatively new to tumblr and have been trying to incorporate more books into my multi-fandom blog. But I seem to have fallen into three categories: YA Fantasy, Historical Romance, or just those who like to take pretty pictures of their books, which are pretty but I'm looking for MORE...I want to read reviews, funny memes, and just talk about the book world. I read primarily romance, mostly contemporary, dark romance, erotica, Rom Com, etc. Do you have some fav blogs? Thank you!

Um oh margh gawd. I don’t even know where to begin, recommending romance blogs. The tumblr romance community has blossomed the past few months! I’ve been on tumblr over 5 years cough cough close to ten cough and I finally feel like I’ve found a little piece of home.

I will say, most of tumblr romancelandia is into historical romance. So if you start talking contemporary, dark romance, paranormal etc., I am here for that. Let’s start our own club!

i looked through my list of books rec’d to me and all i found was ‘the duke’s perfect wife’ by jennifer ashley if wife counts as a family member?? and then 'a week to be weak’ by tessa dare which isn’t a day of the week but… it’s something
