Put Trump back in the White House and we'll see an all out war on the planet led by Republicans and the fossil fuel industry.
In the same interview with Sean Hannity when Trump said he'd be a dictator, he also promised that he would "drill, drill, drill".
His lust for fossil fuels only continues to grow.
Former President Donald Trump pulled the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement, staffed his environmental agencies with fossil fuel lobbyists and claimed — against all scientific evidence — that the Earth’s rising temperatures will “ start getting cooler.” Expect a second Trump presidency to show less restraint. Trump’s campaign utterances, and the policy proposals being drafted by hundreds of his supporters, point to the likelihood that his return to the White House would bring an all-out war on climate science and policies — eclipsing even his first-term efforts that brought U.S. climate action to a virtual standstill. Those could include steps that aides shrank back from taking last time, such as meddling in the findings of federal climate reports. [ ... ] But as the GOP front-runner, he’s gone back to alleging that human-caused global warming is fake, is baselessly blaming whale deaths on wind turbines and said last month that if elected he would be a “ dictator for one day” — in part so he could “drill, drill, drill.” Meanwhile, many of his former staffers are building out a comprehensive plan to decimate both climate policy and regulations on fossil fuels. And Trump allies expect that the former president would fill his next administration with officials who are even more hostile to efforts to address global warming.
The people on the fringe who claim that both parties are alike seem like even bigger idiots with each passing day. Putzing around with third parties is like playing Russian roulette with a fully loaded revolver.
The only way to avert a disaster for democracy and a planetary catastrophe is to vote and Vote Democratic.
It's always easier to prevent a dictatorship than it is to end it once it's in power.

I see so much pessimism and i want to know genuinely, does it make you feel better to constantly joke about the world ending?
Does it make you feel better joking about the sun exploding? Because its not just “ooo dark humor” no, because its never funny and goes far beyond just dark humor.
The same people also tend to act like hope is ignorant, which is a stupid thought to have. Hope is necessary to human existence. What is the POINT is being pessimistic? What does it do for you? What does it prove? That you’re smarter than everyone else because you see through the “lie” that things will get better?

Study shows about half of adults (48%) across 31 countries worry at least a fair amount about climate change, and the country with the highest percentage of people not worried about the climate crisis “at all” is <dun dun dun> the United States 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

BBC News: False claims of bogus heatwave spread online
The Trump sickness continues to spread.
Look, I don't know where you are coming from. I went to HS in New York and we had a thing called the board of Regents and they decided what standards education should present. That in it self could be controversial and it was then too. It was mandated you take earth science at that time too because nobody could imagine a child should not have some fundamental principles about how our planet worked. I don't remember meteorology being a long unit...
Europe is sliding into fascism's hands again. It's stock to challenge long held authority from populist perspectives. It's silly, attacking the WMO and the broadcasting companies sharing figures, but it's not all the same.
Please, by all means, do your own research on this one. Build a weather station, the WMO specs are available and have it certified. Better yet look around at what's needed. I was DAIN-6 a registered Cooperative Observer station helping provide data to the Hudson valley for years. It was wildly rewarding. There are already weather stations where I live now and so this time I think I'll put up an air quality station.
You want to race cars? There are standards.
You want to collect comic books? There are standards.
You love Fords and the model F-150 truck? What makes it that...thing... The SAE (Standard Automotive Engineering) traces it's roots back to 1902.
Scientists, even citizen scientists bow to standard practice, but we don't bow media, or to any kings.

The climate-denying governor of the state most susceptible to climate change is neglecting Florida for his ailing presidential bid as we enter the most active part of the Atlantic Basin hurricane season.
I haven't seen this many disturbances at the same time in the Atlantic since 2020 – the year they ran out of hurricane names and burned through half of the Greek alphabet.
Tumblr media
Probably 1 of the 5 will fizzle out. 2 of them could follow in the footsteps of low energy Hurricane Don and harmlessly buzz around the mid Atlantic.
But the disturbance near the Windward Islands about to enter the Caribbean needs to be watched. And the one north of Cuba heading into the Gulf of Mexico has the potential to get nasty under the right conditions.
Warm seas act like jet fuel for tropical cyclones. The Gulf of Mexico is HOT.
Temps in parts of the Gulf are at the top of the scale shown on the right (32° C/89.6° F).
Tumblr media
Some water temperatures along the southern Gulf coast of Florida have been over 100° F earlier this summer.
There should be no place for active climate deniers in public office.

Always fun to find new radically stupid audiences on this website.
Literally just saw a bunch of climate denialists commenting on a NASA post. What a world we live in.

Whenever you’re ever about to do something I want you to think ‘would an Exxon Mobile executive want me to do this?’ If the answer is yes, do not do that thing.
Don’t do fossil fuel companies work for them.
Stop denying climate change.
