The start of Western Illinois’ NCAA tournament run in Year 20, continued

We pick up with the Leathernecks facing No. 5 Minnesota in the first round of the NCAA tournament in our College Hoops 2K8 sim.

Welcome back to our simulated dynasty with the Western Illinois Leathernecks in College Hoops 2K8. You can find a full explanation of this project + spoiler-free links to previous seasons here. Check out the introduction to this series from early April for full context. As a reminder, I simulate every game in this series (even the ones we watch on Twitch) and only handle the recruiting and coaching strategies.

We pick up with Western Illinois in the first round of the 2027 NCAA tournament. Here’s a recap of everything that has happened so far this season:

Western Illinois entered the season seeking redemption after losing to Cal in the first round of the NCAA tournament last year. We began the new season rated as a 96 overall with three new starters. We went 3-6 against a difficult non-conference schedule before sweeping the Summit League and again capturing the conference tournament championship.

We enter the tournament as a No. 12 seed. Our opponent in the first round is No. 5 seed Minnesota.

We recruited for one scholarship and are in position to land five-star JUCO shooting guard Edwin Wolfe in the spring.

Here’s a look at our roster heading into the 2027 NCAA tournament:

Not going to lie, there’s some real pressure heading into this tournament run in my 20th season as head coach at Western Illinois. We saw our season end in the Elite Eight in Year 16, Year 17, and Year 18. We lost in the first round last season. While I already have a strong case as the greatest mid-major coach in college basketball history, we all know this is a “what have you done for me lately” culture. It will be so hard to face the fanbase if we bow out early again.

Unfortunately, our shaky non-conference slate means we got a raw deal by the selection committee. It’s going to be a tough road through the bracket for us as a No. 12 seed, and it starts against a talented Minnesota team. Both teams enter the game rated as a 98 overall.

Minnesota is real good — you can check out the Golden Gophers’ roster here. Their senior shooting guard Carlos Klatsky is rated as a 95 overall — only four players are rated higher entering the tournament — and he’s matched up against our redshirt freshman Mathew Alloway. Their front court is stacked. Their five best players are either juniors or seniors. I am expecting this to be tough as hell.

The one thing giving me confidence is how we performed in the regular season against No. 1 Louisville in a game we watched together on Twitch. We gave the Cards all they could handle in a true road game before losing in the end. I love our inside-outside combination with senior small forward Wilky Henry and junior power forward Allan Cunningham. I trust our guards more than I did last year. While we have struggled in quick sim games, the pieces on this squad fit together better when we watch full games together on Twitch, I think. We need to take care of the ball, dominate the glass, and hopefully get a stellar performance from Henry as our go-to option on the perimeter.

We streamed this game on Twitch on Sunday night. As always, I’m not controlling Western Illinois; we’re watching a simulated game played by the computer. I’m not playing any of the games in this series, I only do the recruiting and set the coaching strategies. We did do something new this year, though: for the first time, I’m allowing myself to make in-game substitutions. Why not? There’s too much pressure to let poor rotation choices cost us.

Win, 89-72! We’re onto the round of 32 where we will face No. 4 seed Ole Miss.

“SECOND HALF TEAM” has become a rallying cry for our Leathernecks during the Twitch chat, and it paid off once again. Thank the heavens, because that first half was tense. Our defense looked good, but Minnesota was still matching baskets with us the entire way. We couldn’t get anything going from three-point range early. I was wondering who was going to step up to be the hero, but instead the whole team pretty much raised its level of play in the second half.

A few shout-outs:

Wilky Henry was outstanding — he was up to 24 points on the night when we pulled the starters with about five minutes remaining. Henry didn’t do anything in our first round tournament loss to Cal last year (7 points in 33 minutes), so it was great to see him splashing threes and using his size (6’8, 240+ pounds) to bully people at the rim. That is exactly the type of performance we need out of him to keep winning.

Allan Cunningham is simply an all-time Stream Team performer. Dude is so big (6’11, 290 pounds) but still so graceful, and has three-point touch to match. For all the praise we give Ham — read our beat writer Matthew Morrow on Cunningham coming into the season — we often overlook his passing ability. Not anymore: Ham was dropping dimes like a vintage Chris Webber in this one, beating constant double-teams in the second half by kicking out to open shooters. Beautiful stuff.

Our center Pat Giddens has been generally maligned by the fanbase for being too short (6’9) and too overweight (close to 300 pounds), but he’s also the highest rated junior in the NCAA tournament. I was waiting for his production to match his ratings, and it finally happened. Giddens looks formidable offensively and held his own protecting the rim. Good stuff — we need more of that is we want to keep winning.

No. 12 Western Illinois vs. No. 4 Ole Miss, round of 32, 2027 NCAA tournament

Another tough matchup for our Leathernecks. Ole Miss enters the game as a 99 overall, which is one point higher than us. They have five players rated in the 90s, though most of their talent is in the backcourt and on the wing rather than in the front court. Here’s a look at the roster:

We need Cunningham and Giddens to eat inside. Waiting for us in the Sweet 16 would be a matchup with top-seeded Dayton, who are led by junior big man Matt Boswell, the player we created for the first-ever winner of our bracket contest. That would be such a fun game.

We just witnessed the best NCAA tournament performance in program history. Wilky Henry, have yourself a day!

Here’s what I wrote about Henry at the start of the season: “Henry needs to be a superstar this year for this team to play up to its potential.” It happened in an epic way, and we’re going to the Sweet 16 because of it. Henry was absolutely unconscious, pouring in 46 points on 10-of-16 shooting from three-point range. He shattered the program’s previous tournament scoring record of 34 points set by Kim Kone in Year 17.

Honestly, it felt like he could have scored 60 easily. We pulled the starters with 9:35 seconds left as we were up 22 points. I tried to manually sub Henry back in to get 50, but the game took him out right away. LOL. Still an unreal performance either way.

Seriously, man: 46 points on 27 shots in 26 minutes. We might never see a performance like that again in Leathernecks history. Let’s go the clips from reader Abby, starting with a three and then a dunk from Wilky:

Synopsis

While Craig is home from college and playing tennis, he is eyed by quarterback Joe Namath for his potential as a football player. First, however, they have to convince Lucy to give permission for Craig to play the dangerous sport.

Guest Cast

Desi Arnaz Jr. (Craig Cartrer) is the real-life son of Lucille Ball. His 1953 birth was worked into the plot of “I Love Lucy” although Desi Jr. never played the role of Little Ricky Ricardo. He did, however, appear on the final half-hour episode of the series “The Ricardos Dedicate a Statue” (ILL S6;E27) in a crowd scene. He was occasionally seen as Billy Simmons and other minor characters on “The Lucy Show.”  At the time of filming “Here’s Lucy” he was part of the band Dino Desi and Billy along with Dean Martin Jr. and Billy Hinsche. Arnaz was married to actress Linda Purl from 1980 until 1981. In 1987, Arnaz married Amy Laura Bargiel. They lived in Boulder City, Nevada, with their daughter, and own the Boulder Theatre, a cinema converted into a theatre and home to the Boulder City Ballet Company. Amy died in 2005 after a long battle with cancer. Desi Arnaz has a daughter, Julia.

This is Craig's first appearance since the end of season 3 in February 1971.

Joe Namath (Himself) born in 1943, Joe Namath was a record-setting and award-winning professional football player.  His career on the gridiron began in 1965 with the Jets and ended 1977 with the Rams. Nicknamed ‘Broadway Joe’, he also was an actor doing stage, screen, and television commercials.  He hosted “The Joe Namath Show” (1969) and other television shows.  Namath appeared in summer stock productions of Damn Yankees, Fiddler on the Roof, and Lil' Abner, and finally legitimized his nickname as a cast replacement in a New York revival of The Caine Mutiny Court Martial in 1983.  

Bob Harks (Joe Namath’s Stand-In, uncredited) was seen in the background of Mame (1974). In 1970 he popped up on his first television show and was seen in more than a dozen episodes of “Here's Lucy.” He died at age 83 in 2010.

Namath tells Lucy his friends call him ‘Joseph’. Lucy says the papers call him ‘Broadway Joe.’  

Dick Patterson (Coach Hennessy) made his Broadway debut in David Merrick’s Vintage ‘60, and appeared in The Billy Barnes People, the national touring company of Bye Bye Birdie, and opposite Carol Burnett in Fade Out, Fade In. His last musical was Smile, a spoof of beauty pageants. He was seen in “Lucy Helps Danny Thomas” (TLS S4;E7). This is the third of his four appearances on “Here’s Lucy.”  

Coach Hennessy was teammates and roommates with Joe Namath at the University of Alabama.

Kenny Endoso (Jimmy) was a Hawaiian-born actor and stunt performer whose career began in 1967 and racked up hundreds of credits.  He died in 2010.  

The voice of the TV announcer and the other college football players (including one named Murphy) are uncredited.

This episode was inspired by Lucille Ball's appearance with Joe Namath on “The Super Comedy Bowl,” a TV special aired the night before the January 1971 Super Bowl game, although the segment was taped on November 23, 1970. In the sketch, Lucille Ball played an ER nurse who 'manhandles' football player Joe Namath after an accident. The sketch was written by Arnold Kane, who remembers in his book, My Meteoric Rise to Obscurity: 

“Lucy was a comedy genius. Namath was naturally frightened and nervous about doing comedy but the thought of working with Lucy scared the crap out of him.” 

A year later, Lucie Arnaz appeared on the second “Super Comedy Bowl” special, which was taped on November 22, 1971 and aired January 12, 1972. Lucie's comedy partner was football great Bubba Smith.

On the episode's DVD introduction and in The Lucy Book by Geoffrey Mark Fidelman, Desi Arnaz Jr. said: 

"I came back to the show after not being heard from for two years. I'm sure for some of the viewers it was like, 'Craig? Craig who?'  I was hardly ever referred to in the show once I was gone." 

Arnaz is right to say that for the first part of season 4 his absence went unexplained.  He was finally mentioned in “Lucy's Bonus Bounces” (S4;E16), and several more times for the rest of season 4.

Coincidentally, “Here's Lucy's” main competition during the 1972-73 season was “Monday Night Football” on ABC TV. The night this episode first aired the Oakland Raiders bested the Houston Oilers 34 to 0.  

This episode aired on Columbus Day 1972.  This was only the second time in US history that the federal holiday was celebrated on a Monday.  Before 1971, the holiday was celebrated on October 12, no matter which day it fell on.  Lucy Carter spoke about Christopher Columbus during the Secretary Beautiful Contest in “Lucy Competes with Carol Burnett” (S2;E24). 

Namath put on his NY Jets uniform for publicity photos, but he never wears the famous #12 jersey during the actual episode. 

This episode is the fifth installment in the longest story arc (Lucy’s broken leg) of the series. This storyline was dictated by the fact that Lucille Ball actually broke her leg skiing, necessitating scripts for the first half of season five be tailored to her being in a cast. 

After the show was over, Namath sent Lucille Ball an autographed football.

In real life, Desi Arnaz Jr. was an avid tennis player, so writer Bob O'Brien included that into the script.

At the end of scene two, Namath vows to get Lucy to give Craig permission to play or he'll give her his mink coat! Joe Namath had long worn fur, even on the bench.  Lucille Ball was also a fan of furs - especially mink.  In 2014 Namath caused an internet stir when he appeared at the Super Bowl game wearing a fur jacket.

Harry says back when he was playing college football for State he was known as “Twinkle Toes Carter.” In the stage musical about college life in “Lucy, the Co-Ed” (S3;E6), Harry plays a football player for Bullwinkle University nicknamed ‘Crazy Hips.’  Two episodes later, in “Lucy's Wedding Party” (S3;E8), we again hear of Harry's football career at Bullwinkle State (BS).

Lucy and Namath watch “The National Football League's Salute to the Quarterback” on her TV.  

Actual clips of Namath on the field for the New York Jets (#12) are featured. Namath is delighted, but Lucy cringes at the physical violence.  

For the final scene on the field. Lucy's golf cart wheelchair is back – this time without the canopy that Harry destroyed at the end of “Harrison Carter, Male Nurse” (S5;E3).  

Namath tells Craig that he should give up football and join some rock group. This is an inside joke referring to Desi Arnaz Jr.'s own rock group with Dino Martin and Billy Hinsche called Dino Desi & Billy.

When Harry dresses up in his college duds in “Lucy's Wedding Party” (S3;E8), Lucy tells him that he looks as handsome as Joe Namath!  

Nearly a decade earlier to the day, Desi Arnaz Jr. played pee-wee football... 

and Lucie Arnaz looked on from the sidelines in a October 1962 episode of “The Lucy Show” where Lucy Carmichael referees her son Jerry’s game.

Football players Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown, and Jimmy Phillips were all mentioned (but not seen) in “Lucy is a Referee” (TLS S1;E3) in 1962. In his high school football uniform, Craig was compared by Kim to football player Y.A. Tittle in “Lucy the Fixer” (S1;E14).

Character Consistency!  We learned that Craig played High School football in 1969's “Lucy the Fixer” (S1;E14).  It is never mentioned here.  Lucy's over-reaction to the dangers of the sport in this episode, three years later, would surely have been tempered by past experience.

Oops! When Harry goes to sit down next to Lucy, he accidentally knocks the chair cushion to the floor and must retrieve it before sitting.  This is the second time this has happened to Gale Gordon.

One Hand Clapping!  After Craig's blustery exit speech in the first scene, exactly one person in the studio audience gives Desi Arnaz Jr. a round of applause. Ouch!

Age Check! Although the Coach and Namath were supposedly roommates and teammates at college, Dick Patterson (Coach Hennessy) is actually 14 years older than Namath.

Yes, it is good to see Desi Arnaz Jr. again, but I wish it was in a better episode. With “Monday Night Football” as new competition for Lucy, what could be better than a celebrity football player - and Namath fit the bill perfectly.  Besides being contrived, there’s not much funny here.

AMVs--a dying artform

As I reported, this year was the very last year that the people who normally host the AMV Contest for Oni-Con are going to be doing it. To quote from their announcement: “....Oni-Con XVI (2019) will be our LAST AMV Contest we will present.This desision did not come easy for us, but this decision has been thrown around each year prior at how we will end our long run of presenting AMV Contests. We believe now is the best time. Bear in mind that AnimeFunTV itself is NOT ending, only presenting AMV Contests for conventions is ending.We have met some incredible people and seen some outstanding music videos during our time presenting contests for conventions. We want to make Oni-Con XVI (2019) our best show going out but we can’t do it with out your support, so hurry and submit your videos! Also heard on a recent Anime World Order podcast that Anime Weekend Atlanta used to be *THE* con for AMVs but even this once proud tradition is waning for them, the emphasis shifting to live Japanese pop-rock music, inviting TeddyLoid to Guest DJ, etc. Due to the untimely passing of my Dad I was not able to attend the actual AMV Contest with other fans on Saturday night.  I’m glad video of it was archived but the experience just isn’t the same as feeling it live with everyone else....(sigh). It’s the moment Bachelorette fans have been waiting for: the Men Tell All!

On Monday night’s two-hour special, Hannah Brown came face-to-face with all of her castoffs — including Luke Parker, whom she sent home during last week’s episode after he told her that he expected her to refrain from being sexually intimate with the remaining contestants. Here are all the highlights.

Luke Parker returned (with an engagement ring) after being eliminated.

At the beginning of the show, a clip was shown of the remainder of what went down in Greece after Brown, 34, sent Parker, 24, packing on last Monday night’s episode.

“I finally was hit right in the face with what everybody else saying,” Brown explained in a confessional. “I was like, ‘I now can relate,’ and I sent Luke home. The other guys have no idea … I have no regrets. I feel like f— that guy and not an ounce of me misses him, wants him in my life or will question my decisions. I’m so glad Luke is finally gone and I never have to see him again.”

But, it turned out “never” didn’t last very long.

A clip of Parker on his way to interrupt Brown’s rose ceremony was then shown as he said, “Hannah thought after sending me in the van that there’s no way I’d want to be with her anymore after the last thing she told me. She’s sadly mistaken.”

“She doesn’t realize I still love her and that I’m not through,” he continued. “This isn’t over for me yet. I couldn’t go home without talking to her again and sharing my heart with her and getting a few things off my chest. She has never told me that she loves me, but I know she loves me. I know without a shadow of a doubt she still has feelings for me. I believe she’s making a big mistake, and I’m going to tell her that. She doesn’t know it yet, but I’m on my way and I’m coming. I want to prove to her how serious I am about this.”

The camera then showed him flashing a diamond ring in his pocket.

He joined Brown’s remaining men (who were unaware that he was eliminated at this point) in line.

As Brown walked in, she saw Parker and immediately asked him, “Why are you here?” He replied, “I want to talk to you.”

After Parker made multiple appeals to talk to Brown, she angrily declared, “This is not about your heart! F—! Leave! I’m so tired. You’re so narcissistic. It’s my this, my that. This is not about your heart. I’m sorry that your heart is broken, but you’ve already broken my heart like 15 times through all of this by me trying to make this work.”

Once Parker finally left, Brown started crying, and Chris Harrison told her, “The clarity that you were looking for? Now you have even more of it. He is fully convinced — or was — that you are his wife, that you are the one and that nobody knows the depth of your relationship. He has a ring in his pocket right now. He was ready to propose to you. I’m not joking.”

Parker said he was ‘blindsided’ by Brown’s windmill sex confession.

Things hit a fever pitch on last week’s episode when Brown and Parker had a heated argument about sex and religion that ended with Brown flipping off Parker as she sent him home.

Earlier in the night, Parker revealed that although he’s not a virgin, he has been abstinent for nearly four years and plans to wait until marriage to have sex again — and expected Brown to follow suit.

“I just want to make sure that you’re not going to be sexually intimate with the other relationships here,” he said on the show. “I totally have all the trust in the world in you, but at the same time, I just want to make sure we’re on the same page. Like, if you told me you’re going to have sex or you had sex with one or multiple of these guys, I would be wanting to go home, 100 percent.”

His comments infuriated Brown, and after a heated back-and-forth, she laid down the law.

“My husband would never say what you’ve said to me,” she said. “I have had sex, and Jesus still loves me. From obviously how you feel, me f—ing in a windmill, you probably want to leave.”

During his time in the hot seat, Parker explained that he reacted the way he did because he felt “blindsided” by Brown’s confession.

“You look back at hometowns and she told my whole Sunday school group that sex in the fantasy suites wasn’t going to be something she was going to do,” he told Harrison, 47. “Even before that conversation at dinner in Greece, I explained what my desires were with sex and fantasy suites and she agreed and she said she was in the same boat and she shared the same desires to abstain from sex before marriage. So I was blindsided by the whole thing.”

“I didn’t expect her reaction,” he continued. “Like I said, I’m not going to ever judge her for anything that she does, and I was never judging her. I was making a decision for myself of what I wanted and something that I’ve been seeking. That is what I proved showing back up to fight for Hannah. The only reason I went back was to show Hannah something that I shared with her from day one — I’m always going to fight for her.”

Parker said that in the beginning of the show’s process, he made Brown out to be “this perfect woman.”

“It wasn’t the fact that she had sex that would make me want to leave her,” he said. “I went in there because I felt like she was making a mistake. I really thought, no matter what, this is the one for me. I’ve never felt anything like this. If you’re wondering, these feelings were real and I know they were real for her. That’s why you see me say things like, ‘She has never told me she loves me, but I believe that she does.'”

“I felt like I was on a rescue mission for Hannah,” Parker said. “That’s how I look at it. Coming here, I really felt like I was going to be something good for her in a future husband. “I’m going to be honest,” said Johnson, 31. “I feel that Luke hasn’t learned a thing whatsoever. I think that you are a narcissistic, cantankerous misogynist. I think that you are beyond cocky to the point to where you don’t care what no one else says. I feel that you were not fighting for her. … You were fighting over her. I think that your future wife is going to be a prisoner with you if you don’t know how to change.”

Connor Saeli offered Parker “the only compliment of the night” by saying he respected him for being at the taping when he knew it would likely be a “firestorm.” But then, he gave his own critique.

“I was the only one to actually give you a chance in Scotland and hear you out and hear your story,” said Saeli, 25. “And I remember right after our conversation that we had, you went and said the complete opposite thing to the group and so, you know, honestly, I wish I’d said this early to you, but f— you, man. You’re a liar, a manipulator, you’re controlling and you honestly are a psychopath. And I think everything you’re about to hear tonight you deserve.”

Luke Stone, whose contentious relationship with Parker came to a head after Parker allegedly kneed him in the face during a rugby match, said he found Parker’s actions “disturbing.”

In response, Parker said it was “tough” being the outsider among the group of men.

“My integrity and my character is being questioned constantly,” he said. “Everything I say, I’m being looked at like a liar. Think about that. That’s just not easy to deal with. … I do hate that’s what happened. And I do admit that’s because of me, I admit that was because of my pride. That’s not easy to deal with.”

“It hurts me to hear that some of you don’t accept my apology,” he added later. “And I want you to know that I’m sincerely sorry about how it played out. I admit to being very immature through a lot of the process. It became about me because of my arrogance and my pride and I am working on those things…I really hope that you guys can forgive me.”

“To be broken up with like that and see her crying, I just wanted to be there for her,” he said. “It’s definitely not something I wanted to go through, but being on this journey, I know that we’re here looking for love and so is Hannah, and it sucks, but I trust Hannah.”

Then, Harrison asked if he truly saw Brown fitting in with his family of “strong, amazing women.”

“Definitely so,” Johnson said. “I brought one woman home in 10 years. I take this stuff incredibly serious. I felt that I could see myself getting down on one knee if it continued to progress the way it was. It would have been amazing for her to meet my mother, my sister and my grandma.”

Later, he added of Brown, “I still think she’s fine as hell and independent.”

Brown took Parker to task once and for all — and explained why she kept him around so long

When asked by Harrison what she’d want to say about Parker, Brown said, “There’s a lot to unpack there.”

“I think it’s hard for a lot of people to understand,” she said. “It was hard for me to understand at times. But ultimately, I’m really glad that relationship is behind me. I learned a lot from the experiences I went through and the heartbreak I ultimately went through from discovering that I deserved so much more than I could put up with.”

Parker then took the chance to apologize to Brown face-to-face.

“Well first off, you look great,” he said. “It’s good to see that smile on your face still. I really don’t have much to say, just the fact that I’m sorry that I made the whole process for you so difficult. I just want you to know that I’m sorry for that. I will say thank you. You actually did teach me a lot as well about myself, Scotland taught me how to self-reflect, and you taught me how important it is to self-reflect. I will say thank you for that. I’m sorry for making it about me and being prideful at times and making the whole process difficult for you.”

In response, Brown said, “I appreciate those words, but I feel like you still don’t understand what self-reflection means.”

“You said that you learned from this, and I do hope that you did,” she continued. “But I think that there’s a lot of fruit that needs to be grown from you .. .I will never try to say that the feelings that I had for him weren’t real, because they were. It was the closest thing that I had to feeling like I was drawn to somebody that I felt like was love at first sight that I’ve ever experienced. I think a lot of that came from being really insecure about being the Bachelorette in the first place. I remember when I got the call from you, I was so excited but also I had this doubt of, ‘Oh my gosh, am I going to be able to be this? Are the guys going to be disappointed?’ I didn’t know if I was going to live up to this standard that I thought I had to live up to and the first night there, there is this huge fear of what your intentions are. Are they for fame? Are they for career? Are they for building a platform? Is it for you to just continue to be a personality? That night, he made it clear and made me believe that he was there for me. There was safety in that, and he gave me hope from the beginning, and I held onto it a lot longer than I should have.”

When Harrison asked Brown if she told Parker’s church youth group that she would not be using the fantasy suites for sex like he had alleged, she replied, “I did not say that.”

“Fantasy suites aren’t used for sex, Luke,” Brown said. “You didn’t have one, so maybe you don’t know, but the fantasy suites aren’t for sex. You’re making everything about sex and it’s not. … I’m so over being slut-shamed and like that makes me not a woman of faith. I live my life and make mistakes and sin every single day … but that’s what grace is for. … And those fantasy suites, that’s not what they were about. They were about having a relationship where I grew really close to the men and knowing their heart. It’s not just about the physical, and that’s where you’re getting it really, really wrong.”

Shortly after, Harrison said Parker had to leave the taping early to catch a flight. To the rest of her suitors, Brown said, “Know that I’m really thankful that you stuck up for me when you did, you supported me when you did and you encouraged me when you did. Kelly Clarkson Can't Stop Laughing When Her Voice Cracks In the Studio: 'What the Hell Was That'

Kelly Clarkson isn't afraid to laugh at herself!

The 34-year-old singer's voice cracked while recording new music on Monday, and after laughing so hard she cried in the studio, she decided to post the video evidence to Instagram for a few extra giggles.

Clarkson begam the hilarious video with her riff-gone-wrong in the studio, as she's shocked at the sound that just came out of her mouth.

"Just loop that," she laughed, before falling on the floor as her sound mixer replays the noise. "Do it again!"

"Oh my god," she exclaimed, wiping away her tears. "You have to send just that part. 'How did your day go?' I can go, 'Kind of like this!'"

"That time you think, damn, I'm about to nail this ....and then you don't 😂😭 #inthestudio #whatthehellwasthat 😳," Clarkson captioned the silly clip.
