How I think COD GHOSTS Characters Would Sleep/Sleep next to you (GN - Teammate!Reader)

Note: This is like awkward coworker things. As if being forced to share a bed, not really romantic or anything, so it's platonic but could be for anyone. Just my thoughts on how these characters would react/act to this type of situation.

- Elias tries to be mindful of what you want or need, you could just wake him up if you need to, just let him know if you need something. Like you want a cup of water? He would get up out of bed to go get you one.

David ‘Hesh’ Walker:

- Surprisingly, Hesh doesn't snore, but he does like grunt or groan when he sleeps whenever he shifts over or when Riley hops onto him/the bed to sleep with you both.

Keegan P. Russ:

- He can sleep anywhere, Any position, any time. Give him five minutes and he'll be dead asleep.

- Suffers from nightmares, so he might scare you awake randomly through the night when he shoots up from his sleep and accidentally almost shoves you off the bed.

- Keegan is freezing, and he knows it. Randomly places his hand on your arm or his legs over yours if you two know each other very well, he's simply smug and likes messing with you.

- If you two don't know each other he's silently there. Won't interact with you, won't touch you, won't go near you, there is two pillows between you both as if you even shift he's staring at you. He would stay awake the whole night, not trusting sleeping next to someone he doesn't know very well.

- If you do ask him for something throughout the night he tells you to “screw yourself” or a flat out “No.” before going to go get whatever you ask for within five minutes. He won't get up twice though, so if you need a handful of things just ask while he's up because he will ignore you if you ask for something else after he lays down again.

Thomas A. Merrick:

- It isn't that bad at all, Merrick's pretty respectful, makes it comfortable for you both. He'll ask if you are comfortable when you sleep side by side. If you're not? He's willing to put a pillow between you, or he might just end up sleeping on a chair if you don't want to sleep next to him.

- He will scrunch up his body uncomfortably if you ask him to sit in the chair. Merrick can somehow sleep like that, but will wake up with back pains.

- Sleeping in bed next to each other isn't even awkward, it's just the silence that is heavy, he makes sure not to touch you, or bother you. - Kick is.. well a difficult sleeper, he could either have great nights of sleep, or he'll continuously wake up every few hours. In turn? Speaking of anniversaries, he doesn’t forget any of the important dates you guys have. He remembers your birthday, your anniversary, your plans for Valentine’s Day, and he even remembers your family members birthdays.

He’s definitely the type of guy to treat your father with respect and charm your mother.

“I see where ____ gets their good looks from!” When your mother laughs, he raises an eyebrow. “I actually meant him.” And he points at your father. Your mother laughed even harder and your father shook his head at you. You just rolled your eyes and smiled, knowing how much of a goof your man was.

Hesh is a passionate lover, he takes his time with you in the bedroom and would never make you feel bad if there was something that you didn’t want to do.

The second he sees discomfort in your face he immediately stops and checks in on you. When you confirm you’re okay he kisses you on the forehead and slowly starts up again.

When he’s really in the groove of things he’ll have his hands by your sides as he’s pumping in and out of you at a steady pace, letting out grunts and huffs as his eyes take in your gorgeous body under him.

The Ghosts: Ice Cream Headcanons

How would the Ghosts like their ice cream, I wonder.

[these are my personal hcs! Feel free to agree or disagree. I'm open to discussions lol]

Logan Walker:

Can see him being lactose intolerant but would still gorge on ice cream by the tub.

"So worth it," he'd definitely say as he destroys the toilet later

Has to settle for non-dairy ice creams made with vegan milk

I think his favourite flavour would be something classic like vanilla

The others tease him for his basic choice, but he thinks its versatile and pairs with other flavours pretty well

Even on its own, he defends it for having a complex flavour

I can see him being a cone person; likes crunchy, especially the chocolate bit at the bottom

Likes to add crunchy toppings on his ice cream like m&m's and crushed cookies or Oreos

If dared to, he'd deepthroat a cone (did that once and choked; dad had to do the Heimlich manoeuvre)

David 'Hesh' Walker:

Not lactose intolerant

Has a sweet tooth but would not gorge on a tub of ice cream- too disciplined for that

His favourite flavour would be chocolate and/or coffee. He likes the bittersweet taste

He eats ice cream very slowly that he ends up accidentally turning it into soup

For that reason, he's a cup person. He's gotten his hands messy and sticky too many times eating from a cone.

Elias 'Scarecrow' Walker:

Has a bigger sweet tooth than both his sons combined

He'd definitely like ice creams with vague names that don't describe the flavour at all like 'Arabian Delight' or 'Tutti Frutti'

He'll eat any damn ice cream flavour there is. He's not picky even if it's disgusting, but mint-choc is where he draws the line; he doesn't like the toothpaste-y flavour

Doesn't mind eating ice cream out of anything. Cup, cone, tub, frisbee, Merrick's bald head (he was dared to once)

Prefers syrups rather than sprinkles

Thomas Merrick:

Not much of a sweet tooth, but has a little ice cream once in a while

I can see him liking hated flavours like mint-chocolate or pistachio. He likes mint-choc better.

He enjoys the minty sweetness while the rest cringe and gag as they relive the awful experience

Feels proud of the fact that he can enjoy and stomach hated flavours

His ice cream preferences have everyone giving him the side-eye, particularly from Logan.

The only way he'll have any ice cream at all is if it's an affogato, which he genuinely enjoys, or a slightly warm ice cream sandwich

Kick:

Enjoys ice cream a lot!

Probably has the biggest sweet tooth among the Ghosts, even more than Elias

Likes exotic flavours like sapodilla, jackfruit, coconut, matcha, or even durian

For some reason, I feel like he'd be vegan and would prefer vegan ice creams

Moderate sweet tooth. Likes ice cream but it's not his favourite dessert

Likes the classic flavours like strawberry, vanilla, or chocolate

Prefers a cup over a cone. Who knows what non-vegan stuff the cone could be made of, plus he's not big on crunchy

He often makes his own ice creams with coconut milk and various fruits and they're actually delicious, much to the surprise of the other Ghosts.

He also makes choco bars

He makes Logan's supply of non-dairy ice cream

Not a big fan of toppings and syrups.

Neptune:

Not much is known about Neptune, but I'd like to think he's also a moderate ice cream fan like Merrick and Ajax

He'd probably like a flavour not very commonly known or eaten, like raspberry or blueberry

I can see him liking rolled ice cream and gelato a lot

Cup person, for sure

Likes whipped cream and gummy bears on his ice cream

Riley:

Good boy will put any damn thing in his mouth if he gets his paws on it, so the Ghosts are careful not to give him any ice cream even if he begs with his cute puppy eyes, since dogs are lactose intolerant

But Logan will secretly give Riley a little bit of his vegan vanilla ice cream because a small quantity will not hurt (don't tell Hesh though).

So the more deepcut people who do their research and look into the Ghosts lore would know that the Ghosts are also less commonly known as Task Force: STALKER, which got me wondering for a good minute.

Sure they're relentless and stealthy, but stalker in particular is like prowling and hunting, and after reading some thread online, I just couldn't help but think just what the fuck did the boo crew do to get such a name aside from operation Sand Viper?

So I read about this thing called pursuit predation, which blew my mind for a second that it's how human beings behave and work. Now, slap that into military? Terrifying.

In simple terms, this is the terror of pursuit predation:

You wouldn't know where they are, or who's after you, you've only seen the face of death after you, blending in with the darkness. It took days, but every second you're not moving, they're only getting closer. It doesn't matter if you run, they'll be stalking. They follow every step, listen to every breath, and eventually they'll catch up when you can't run anymore and tire yourself out.

And the last thing you see is the phantom face of death.

But also the Ghosts have quite clever tactics to use against their enemies, like in Operation Clockwork, they snuck into a Federation base undetected by seamlessly blending in. Barely suspected (but maybe it was for plot armor tho).

This team of soldiers would be actually terrifying to fight against cuz they'll be so stealthy and unpredictable you can't see them in the darkness when they're right in your face, so I get it why that one guy in Elias's intro story was left traumatized, cuz honestly bro I would be too.

I'd like to make another ramble post regarding their callsigns but here's this for now.

Gaz’s children would be a bit snobby, really into sports, a bit more hardheaded.

Soap’s kids are little menaces, but have hearts of gold. Would do anything for their family and friends, love their parents more than anything in the world.

Ghost’s children- and they’re all girls- are the most spoiled little divas any of the other guys have ever met. The minute he sees one of their little lips quiver, he’s offering snacks, lollies, money, the shirt off of his back- hell, the shirt off of Soap’s back. Poor guy can’t stand to see his little girls upset.

I can just imagine the cod boys beefing up on deployment. They’re already big but they come home after 8 months or so and they’ve nearly doubled in muscle mass, a little fat to go with it.

You’re frothing at the mouth when your man comes walking through the door. His usual uniform top clinging for life around his biceps. The fabric struggling to stretch around his body. His pants molded to his thighs.

After months of him being touch starved, nearly nutting at the thought of simply holding you, he gets all the affection and then some when you can’t keep your hands off of him.

He drops his bags down and you just start going off about how big he’s gotten, groping his giant pecs, running your hands all over him.

Eventually he has to start prying your hands off of him because you cannot help yourself.

Imagine that you get so sick that you cannot sleep in your bed with Simon. You would go sleep in the living room on the couch, your muscles aching so badly no matter how little you move. And feeling like you can’t breathe.

Simon would be stressing out, but he’d go into the living room and sit on the floor next to the couch unsure what to do. At some point he gets up and makes some tea to help soothe your throat and sets it on the coffee table for you.

Simon isn’t afraid of a little sickness, but when you start needing to get up every few minutes to cough up some phlegm it becomes an issue and concerns him.

You’re absolutely restless, the little sleep you did get you’d wake up about five minutes later calling out in a raspy whisper “Si…” as if he’s gonna leave you for being sick. He stays where he sits on the floor next to the couch and reassured you that he’s there and you’re okay.

“It’s alright, Luvie. You’ll feel better soon”

He’ll kiss your forehead and gently run his fingers through your hair wanting to put you back to sleep, cause if you’re asleep you can’t be in pain, right?

torch was the same age as merrick. grim was younger but still older than ajax

their personalities were the complete opposite of their callsigns; torch was quiet and reserved, extremely off-putting while grim was more social and didn't shut up

grim gave the vibes of that one uncle who pays you 20bucks to say the f word in front of your dad

it was common amongst the ghosts that grim and kick would be leading the daily "bullshit" rants

grim was MARSOC before viper. torch was a SEAL pilot

grim got along best with ajax and keegan bc the marines STICK TOGETHER. OORAH. but he always made it his mission to annoy the absolute FUCK out of the neptune and torch (who were the brooding pilots)

torch and merrick actually got along the best. being SEALs n all

grim was corpsmen certified while torch ACTUALLY WAS a corpsman

torch had so many qualifications under his belt the rest of the ghosts wondered how tf he did it

torch was actually their exfil and chopper guy. his plane was shot down when he tried to reach ajax (the mission that got ajax captured)

grim was doing recon in fed territory but rorke had already had a hit on him so.. yeah. (lets just say grim got the worst treatment)

(yk when ajax got fucked up for flipping off the fed soldiers? well that was also grim but 10x worse)

How Team GHOST Would React To You Being Brainwashed (Headcanons) (GN reader) (Elias, Hesh, Logan, Merrick, Keegan and Kick and Riley)

(Note: This is just what I (My headcanons), enjoy reading!)(Could be seen as Platonic, Romantic?)

(Reader is in the infirmary after the Federation brainwashed you, after months of not seeing you, how would characters react to you being so different)

Elias Walker:

- Elias went silent as he sat in your infirmary room, his arms crossed firmly. Elias is a hit..  saddened, he knew Rorke before he got brainwashed.. he never wanted it to happen to someone he knew so well, someone he cherished.

- Elias stares into your dull eyes as he sat next to you, his jaw subtly clenched as he would force himself to give you a reassuring smile.

- Elias would talk, talk a lot despite the fact he never talked much, he would catch you up on everything and anything, telling you stories about the memories You have shared together that you might have been brainwashed to forget.

- Elias would simply spend time with you, your body chained down due to your Brainwashed state, but.. Elias wasn't able to ‘get over’ it, like he did with Rorke, He wasn't able to not visit you. He had a chance to help you, he was willing to spend his time doing so. He never got the chance to help Rorke, he regretted not trying more to save the man in the past… But the past was the past and you were his future, you were more important and the current, he decided to focus on the present.

- Elias would pull up your covers if you weren't able to or didn't/couldn't move due to your brainwashed state. Elias would personally care for you, and when he couldn't he ensured it was a trusted friend, teammate or medic to care for you.

- Elias would give you headpats, he gently murmurs when you flinch back due to the trauma you have experienced by being Brainwashed and tortured by the Federation. Elias would respect your space but also wants to gently get used to his touch again.

- He would read You stories, his voice is great for it. (If you are his child, or if he raised you it's because he wants to remember the good times… and make you remember that he's here. or He would hum a soft song he hummed to you when you were very young or maybe humming a song Ms Walker would always hum before she passed) Elias would even read out loud or hum gently even if you are sleeping, he saves the stories about Team Ghosts and stories about you, or the others for when you are awake and ‘listening’.

- Elias would be there for physical therapy, every moment, whenever you needed help but couldn't voice it. Elias would be there, and he gets really good at just guessing what you needed.

- Elias wants to be the first person you see in the day, not a medic, despite the fact he knows you have false memories, or your memories were messed with, he wanted that trust you once had for him, he wants you to understand you were safe with him.

- Elias gives you a forehead kiss when he arrives to your side and one before he leaves, just to make a habit form so you can expect affection from him or if you're not that close he would pat your head instead.

David ‘Hesh’ Walker:

- Hesh falls asleep on the infirmary bed next to you every night, emotionally exhausted as you were the first experience of someone he knew so well being brainwashed. Hesh would refuse to leave your side, willing to stay put until he knows you are aware again.

- He does cry when he gets frustrated, knowing you were in pain, knowing he couldn't help.. knowing your memories were messed with, he tries to hide it, but his hand is tightly holding yours. He's on his knees by your infirmary bed, his face buried into the mattress as he murmurs ‘I got you’, ‘you'll be alright’ multiple times over and over again.

- Hesh tries to encourage you, to get up.. to move about a tiny bit.. to strengthen your limbs once again. Hesh takes you walking around the base when you are mentally aware enough to not attack him or others.

- His hands gently clasped around yours, after days of ‘waiting’ for something.. anything from you. Hesh began speaking to you, rambling on about any topic he could think of. Trying to comfort you so he talks about any topic that you had brought up to him before you went missing, it could be about a hobby you were telling him about or a story, or anything. He remembers, and will remember for you until you could hold onto the memories again.

- Hesh usually re-does your bandages, ensuring your wounds are disinfected and bandaged in clean bandages. He asked a medic to show him the ‘right way’, (he knew how to do this already, but asked the medic anyway to ensure he did it right). Hesh does this so you can get used to his touch once again, he flinches when you flinch at his touch because he isn't used to you flinching because of him.

- Hesh sneaks in your favorite snacks for you, despite the fact you weren't supposed to eat it, but he did sneak it in for a bed-time snack, trying to coax you with your favorite snack, so maybe it would trigger the memories of all the nice times you both have shared over snacks.

- He watches movies with you, Hesh didn't really care he was uncomfortably curled up in the chair next to your infirmary bed, ends up with Riley on his lap so you three could watch movies together while you recover.

- He tends to get frustrated and cry, but only a tiny bit, a few tears slipping from his eyes when he watches you, his heart hurt for you. Of course, he has seen a lot in his time as a soldier, he lost many friends, but he hadn't ‘lost’ someone like this before. He wanted to protect You but he couldn't figure out how.

Logan Walker:

- Logan didn't react much physically to the news you were back at base, back in the infirmary. He was told what had happened to you.. But he didn't visit at first, letting the rest of the Ghosts members visit you.

- He did visit at night though, when there wasn't supposed to be visitors, he snuck in. Silently sitting on the edge of your infirmary back, staring back at your dull eyes. At first he was surprised you were awake but he simply sat there.. so you wouldn't have to be alone again.

- Logan would stay the whole night, tapping your arm.. He ignored if you flinched, he understood what happened to those who have been brainwashed by the Federation. He tries to respect your space, doing just soft taps to let you know he was there every once in a while.

- Logan formed a habit to spend every night in your infirmary room, as if he was ‘guarding’ it for you. Ensuring no one came in, no matter how many times Elias tells him to allow you to sleep.. He does, but he's going to be around while you do.

- Logan simply wants to protect you, ensuring the Federation couldn't get you again, even though there is a slim chance of anyone getting into HQ, he likes to think it eases your mind, even if you couldn't or didn't voice it. 

- He'd sit there for hours, moving to sit next to you.. sometimes he would lay his head on your forearm, to sleep near you. Sometimes he would shift his head onto your chest to simply hear your heartbeat to ensure you were alive.

- Mentally Logan is breaking down, unable to handle the fact you were no longer the you he knew well. Not taking well to the fact your memories were messed with, so he tries to make you remember, using the rare photos he has of you and the team to try and show you.

Keegan P. Russ:

- Keegan broke in the moment he got word of your return, scaring all the medics as he kicked down the door (he didn't have to, it was unlocked, but he didn't realize It) as he stormed in. He would say your name, as he walked over to you. He sorta aggressively grabbed your shirt, to check your now bandaged wounds, just simply checking you over himself to just see you were alright, his gloved hands firmly checking over each of your now bandaged wounds.

- After a bit, he would grumble and sigh as grab the chair to the side, dragging it, the noise being loud, if you flinch he would place his hand on over your collarbones as if to keep you down, murmuring a soft shush as he did so.

- His hand would hold yours, his thumb rubbing over your knuckles as he would ensure no one else was around before being a bit affectionate with you. “You better be fuckin’ alright” Keegan would mutter under his breath.

- His hand stays firmly on your body, your chest, your arm. Your hand, he doesn’t care if you're brainwashed, he silently cares that you're alive. He’s willing to put up with you, he didn’t need you to remember (despite the fact, that he silently wishes for you to), he just needs you to be aware he’s there. Silently holding you, protecting you. He won’t admit it out loud, but all his actions while being around you are to protect you from further harm.

- He stays with you for a few hours every day. Leaving for missions when he needs to but he always usually returns to your side to inform you about his day. Aggressively challenges you, pissing you off with his snide comments, riling you up to do something.. anything. That's all he wanted, to get you back to your usual self.

- He would.. be a bit more patient than usual, sighing as he settles in the chair next to you. Ends up with his legs kicked up on your bed, his hand tightly holding yours, murmuring insults under his breath at the world.

- He would end up putting your favorite shows on, informing you of anything you couldn't remember, he knows it all. You're favorite character, favorite moment, anything you question about yourself, he probably knows it. 

- He plays music too, any music you like. As if trying to subconsciously make you remember anything. He would mutter the lyrics under his breath, having learned any songs you used to like in the time you weren't around. 

- His hand rests on your chest, feeling your heartbeat. He silently counts along to it, to ensure you were alive, well, and your heartbeat was beating at a decent pace.

- Keegan was willing to get you revenge as well, working his bodies to its limits on every mission to get rid of any Federation soldier in his path, he cared for his teammates a lot, and knowing what you went through, he would make them regret it

- Keegan is angry, angry at the world, the Federation.. Maybe a bit at you, despite knowing it was stupid. It wasn’t your fault you were captured, maybe he was also angry at himself, but he simply kept that anger for himself and any Federation soldiers he comes across in the future.

Thomas A. Merrick

- Merrick is surprisingly gentle, his hand resting on your shoulder as he sits on the chair next to your infirmary bed. He shifted the binders of work he needed to do on the floor by his seat as he checks up on you. 

- He tends to just quietly work by your side. It was a win-win for him, he gets to stay by your side while also finishing up on work. Sometimes he would talk when you are awake. Sometimes just telling you about things you had missed while gone for the months you were tortured and brainwashed.

- He would also apologize for all that you went through, he feels bad. He understands he couldn't control what happened but he regretted not moving fast enough to save you.

- Merrick would check up on you as well, checking your bandages, it's not that he didn't trust the medics, he did. But he felt like sometimes he just had to see for himself you were okay.

- He would be there, he would call himself stupid if he wasn't, he liked just talking to you, it reminded him of what your relationship was like before you were brainwashed..  or just talking to you. He didn't need you to speak back if you didn't feel like it, or couldn't.

- He would take you on walks, leading the way, or showing you around HQ again, even if you couldn't remember the way around. Merrick gladly will show you around, as many times as you need. He would also remind you of funny stories, and explain where it took place to try and get you to remember.

- He’s a bit overbearing, wanting to see everything, every injury, every one who enters your room, he just wants to ensure you are okay.

- He uses a military drone to ‘entertain’ you, even if you don't react much and just watch, he's happy, talking you through his own hobbies for hours at a time. He just is trying to spend time with you, he almost lost you, and he wouldn't take his time for granted anymore.

- Riley is sat by the side of your bed when he isn't with Hesh, firmly sat there to protect You.
