Sojiro: *turns around* Cole? What are you doing up?

Cole: I had a bad dream... Papa and Daddy aren't home... Can I stay with you?

Sojiro: Of course you can. *picks Cole up and puts him on the counter* I was just making Hanzo’s bento before I make your lunch.

Cole: What’s a bento?

Sojiro: It's a lunchbox, and sometimes they can look pretty, would you like me to do your lunch in a bento?

Cole: Yes please! *kicks his feet happily*

Sojiro: *chuckles* okay. *grabs the spare bento box he bought and packs Cole’s lunch*

Hanzo: although he was crime lord he was well liked and respected in someways. He cared for me and Genji no matter what even though he's gone I hope maybe there's still a bit of hope the he's proud of Genji and I.....

76: Yet I wonder how come you don't talk about you're mother?

Genji and Hanzo:*are both quiet as as they looked down for a moment before they got up and left*

Kiriko: Look there mother is a very touchy subject, now not that I don't fault you for not knowing cause Cole asked the same thing.

76: So what happened to her?

Kiriko: I'll tell you later when Cole returns from his mission, it's a long story but let it be known that they still love their mother deeply...Like I said it's a really touchy subject since only their father was around them throughout their whole life's until his death...

76: Alright and if you do see Hanzo or Genji tell them I apologise

Kiriko: I think it's better if you tell them than me being the messenger, besides it's better if we do it somewhere private.

76: I- alright, but they don't need to tell anyone if it makes them feel uncomfortable.

Kiriko: No they've been ignoring it far to long and honestly they need to get it out of their system, cause I'm sure Genji hasn't told his Master about his mother for awhile so it's best if they explain what happened to her.

76: alright than, we'll talk about this tonight. But it'll be between the 5 of us only. If Genji feels comfortable enough to tell Zenyatta than it'll be 6.

Kiriko:*nods before leaving the table * alright see you tonight, I need to catch up to both shimada's so I can comfort them.

Ranger Profile v.02

Green Ranger - Genji Shimada

Genji is a part-timer at the local arcade, Pachimari, along with being a volunteer at the local shrine that's run by two brothers, Zenyatta and Ramattra. He's close friends with Zenyatta but.... it's best to not leave Genji and Ramattra in the same room alone for too long, something always breaks. While he's very blasé about his work in the arcade, often goofing off on shift, he takes his volunteer work very seriously. The arcade Genji works at is also the common place for D.Va, Lucio and the rest of their friends to hang out at, his favorite thing to do while they're there is be the referee when Hana and Kyung-soo have their spontaneous gaming contests against each other.

Genji is the third ranger to get his powers and the first person Hana and Lucio go to with the ancient tech they found, much to Genji's own confusion. Once that confusion wore off though, and after he got his Ranger Powers, he was the most excited to be a Ranger. Only being matched by Hana and Lucio. Even poking fun at Cassidy's weariness and Fareeha's seriousness.

Genji is the youngest child of Sojiro and Rumiko Shimada. After his parents death he and his brother moved in with Asa, a family friend, however Genji ran away from home after a huge fight with his brother. He hasn't contacted anyone since he left, not even Kiriko who he was the closest with. After he ran away he was found and taken in by Cassidy and Reyes, moving out with Cassidy to be his roommate when Cole decided to go to university for a degree in journalism. Then moving back to town when he realized he genuinely didn't know what he wanted to do in life. Recently he has tried to get back in contact with Hanzo and Kiriko but he hasn't gotten any reply.

Like I said before, Genji was the most excited to be a Power Ranger, it is to be seen if that stays the same. However, Genji is the Ranger who transforms the most and likes to do every day heroic activities. Friendly Neighborhood Power Ranger type thing. He's also the one to push his powers the most, often leading to shenanigans, some funny, some not so funny. Say what you will though, it still often leads to power ups and new gadgets for him and the other Rangers to use.

In the public eye the argument of "Is the Green Ranger the leader or Red?" is common to have, as while Cassidy is the leader, he isn't really seen by the public that often. Being the main ranged attacker and most of the missions he does being away from the public eye, Cassidy is often met with skepticism when it comes to him being the leader. The public seeing him more as this lone wolf type character. While Genji is seen in public more and is often in the center of the fight, being the main close contact combatant. Cassidy doesn't mind though and is even happy that he isn't the one getting cornered by the press, though Genji doesn't really get cornered either, being able to slip away easily.

I have tears in my eyes just thinking of this scene with Whitmore in front of his large fireplace, thinking about his old friend, and picturing Jack in his place).

Genji: *equally as happy as his brother over his fathers return, peacefully drooling into his pillow as he sleeps with angela snuggled against him*

Athena: Security alert. Sojiro shimada has exited the building.

Genji: *launches angela out of the bed along with the blanket as he jumps to his feet* HE WHAT?!

Angela: *now on the floor trying to figure out how she got there* Ah-

*Meanwhile meanwhile*

Sojiro: *sitting up on the watchpoint rooftop, dressed in the clothes his sons gave him, watching the sunrise for the first time after so long of being kept in the darkness beneath the castle* …

Genji & Hanzo: *stagger through the rooftop door, both holding clothes and their comforters incase he transformed again* FATHER?!

Sojiro: *looks back at them, tail turning into a question mark as tears pool in his eyes despite his smile* …I’m free…

Genji & Hanzo: … *both walk over and sit beside him wrapping their comforters around themselves and him*

Cole & Angela: *both walk over upset their husbands stole said comforters*

The after school rush has been getting harder and harder to keep up with since Genji started crawling.

Asa: don’t mention it, I can already tell he’s going to be a handful once he starts walking.

Genji: *holding onto the side of the play pen trying to stand up* Aaaaheheeeeee!!

Sojiro: *snickers* sit back down you you’ve only just learned how to craw-

Sojiro: … *takes the note and reads it before ripping it up* He’s neither of those things. He’s got ADHD, and if they don’t know how to work with and assist a child with his needs then they have no place being a teacher.

Mako: *sighs looking down* I feel like I’ve failed as his dad… I don’t know how to help him or what to do moving forward. His mum always knew what was the best for him and I… I don’t know what to do without her…

Sojiro: … *gently pats his shoulder* it’s alright to not know what you’re doing… so long as you do what you think is best for them then… you’re doing great. *smiles up at him*

Mako: … *tears up and hugs him*

Sojiro: *hugs him back* why don’t you sit down and I’ll make you a coffee.

Sojiro: *is a cat, peers out of the trash can holding the last shard of pottery in his mouth* son.

Sojiro: *jumps out of the trashcan putting the pottery piece in a bag with the rest of the shards before hugging onto it and teleporting away*

Hanzo: I-… Hm. Kiriko isn’t the only one who can do that.

*Meanwhile*

Sojiro: *reappears in torbjorns workshop with the bag* mr lindholm! Would you by chance have any gold powder???

Torbjorn: *staring at the cat in disbelief* …BRIGITTE DID YOU TEACH YOUR CAT HOW TO SPEAK?!

*a few more hours later*

Cole: *walks back into the kitchen and pauses seeing the bowl he’d smashed now back on the counter, put back together and decorated with gold kintsugi* I?… well, ain’t that l- *pauses looking inside to see a very tuckered out kitten curled up*

Sojiro: *so exhausted from teleporting back and forth and carefully putting back together the bowl he shrunk into a kitten form to have a nap*

Cole: lovely.

Genji: *watching a bug fly closer and closer before falling back into his pillow as it lands on his nose* ABEHBEH!!!

Sojiro: *sitting there in awe watching the bugs and his children play freely, and finally, feeling free* …they’re home… I’m home…

Sojiro: *laying on a stretcher dressed in whatever clothes they had on the ship, now barely conscious and purring very loudly after getting shot in the ass by Ana, but still aware enough to keep a firm hold on Hanzos hand, gently rubbing it with his thumb like he did when he was still a boy* yoshi, yoshi… yoshi, yoshi… (Translation: “there, there… there there.” Meant in a comforting fashion)

Hanzo: *finally stopped crying, just sitting beside his father holding his hand reassuringly* what… happened to him?… to turn him into an Oni?… I can’t sense his dragon anymore…

Kiriko: once he’s rested and calmed down a bit more I’m sure he’ll tell us but… From what the Kitsune told me it’s not good. The short of it is the elders weren’t happy with how much he protected you and Genji from them. Apparently he was planning on doing something they didn’t approve of and they faked his death but kept him alive to use him until you were… moulded enough to their liking…

Hanzo: I see… that explains some of it but… why would his dragon abandon him to this fate?…

Kiriko: …he didn’t… he… your father… he died down there… his dragon sacrificed itself to save him but… *looks at the fox in her lap as it stares back at her as if conveying silent information* he was so filled with anger it turned him into an Oni instead…

Hanzo: …can we heal him from this?…

Kiriko: I don’t know. I mean- I was strong enough to snap him out of a rampage so maybe but… I’m not sure…

Toshiro: *gently pats her shoulder* You saved not only me, but my friend, and all of kanezaka. You reunited him with his sons, and you reunited our family too kiriko. I know you’re capable of anything you set your mind to. *smiles proudly* your grandma would be so proud of you.

Kiriko: *smiles and hugs him* thanks dad…

Hanzo: *smiles and pulls a blanket over Sojiro a little to keep him warm* it’s funny how the Hashimoto modelled themselves after Oni. But ran like cowards when faced with a real one…

Genji: *walks over and sits beside them making Sojiro smile and purr louder* And even then they proved themselves to be the real monsters…

Hanzo: indeed… *sighs* he was down there this whole time… this whole time and I never once thought of going down there, if I had- he-

Cole: *sidles over to Hanzo to comfort him and give him a kiss on the cheek* don’t worry darlin we’ll do everything we can to help h-

Sojiro: *skin suddenly turning blood red and horns growing larger as he sits up and snarls at the cowboy, now perceiving anyone who isn’t his sons as a threat coming to separate them* COME BACK FOR ROUND TWO HUH?!
