Since I'm noticing FolderPET posts are appearing on this site, I'm gonna share my headcanons for them ^^

Folder secretly has a consciousness, but hides it unless the only people around are other ai/desktop assistants. He automatically acts like he does in ONE if a non-ai/desktop assistant person looks at him. It's basically like Toy Story.

Kinito is pan while Folder is omni. They're also ace4ace!

They both love giving and receiving physical touch from one another. Basically, lots of cuddles, hand-holding, leaning against each other, hugging, falling asleep in the other's arms, etc.

Kinito's main love language is gift-giving! He tends to code in little gifts for Folder (like flowers), as well as write short stories for him. Folder has a folder (heh) in the computer's downloads where he keeps all of Kinito's gifts :3

Folder's main love language, on the other hand, is words of affection! During cuddle-time, he'll often murmur sweet compliments to him. Kinito absolutely MELTS everytime he does it

Although both of them are conscious beings with emotions (including romantic attraction), they also somewhat determine their behaviors based on what they were coded to do, and neither of them were programed to express romance. Initially, they both knew they had romantic feelings for one another, but had no idea how to actually express it to each other. Basically, the beginning of their relationship consisted of them researching things that human couples did and trying the things out together to figure out what they liked.

Adding onto headcanon #6, when they learned about kissing, they wanted to do it but couldn't properly because Kinito lacked a mouth, and he felt bad about it. Fortunately for them, in a state of pure geniusness™, the two came up with the idea of no-contact kisses, which was basically them hovering their faces close to each other and saying "mwah" repeatedly (it looks exactly as silly as it sounds)

They like to draw together on paint.

They have a "yaps x listens" dynamic, usually with Folder as the yapper and Kinito as the listener, but they switch roles sometimes

“Lucy fell first, but Nastu fell harder”

How about, Lucy realized her feelings much sooner for him due to being an author; having that romanticism ingrained into her soul. Thus, not only seeing the signs but overthinking them so much she had to implement them in her novel to cope.

Natsu, being emotionally stunted due to his abandonment issues, refused to acknowledge his feelings until it hit him in the face like a train with no clear stops.

This boy had all the signs from the beginning, I would even put my money on him being the one responsible why the love spell didn’t work in Hargeon. (I have theories man. So many theories)

We see him as the one who fell harder because for him, he woke up one day and realized, “holy shit I literally can’t eat, sleep or breathe without wanting Lucy beside me”

Sure we can pinpoint a few key moments to show his romantic interest strengthening.

BUT…. From the beginning he wanted her on his “team” … the boy who was always doing his own thing. The boy who had a guild full of “family” but felt so alone all the time. The boy who lost a dear friend to him in a gruesome accident that caused him to retreat into himself more then he already had. The boy who felt like no one truly believed in him. The boy who only had his cat (who he hatched, so that has a lot of significance) as his team until she showed up.

Natsu chose Lucy.

He fell first and fell harder.

I just want to take the time to appreciate Fruits Basket for being the first and only fandom where my ship sailed in canon.

No but seriously, this was my first Manga that I ever read. When I picked it up, I had no clue as to the impact it would have on my life. I was 12 and the things going on at the time had me in a dark and scary place mentally. I can’t tell you what it was about the manga that held my gaze and made me ask my cousin to buy it for me but whatever it was …thank god!

Tohru was the perfect female lead for me at the time. The traumatized undertone of her character in the early chapters to her unraveling and learning that it’s okay not to be okay throughout the story. Her strength and kindness despite her struggles was nothing short of inspiring. I couldn’t help but think, “if Tohru can find a way to smile and keep going. So can I!” And I’ll never be able to express how thankful I am to develop that type of perseverance in the time I needed. It was surreal to see this character who was so beautifully broken find peace, love, and understanding not only in the family she found in the Sohmas, but in herself.

I could go on and on about this story and it’s characters. And maybe one day, I will.

Tohru and Kyo set an unreachable bar for me in everything I consume 🤧
