So, this extra strip was something I decided to draw after the idea came to me yesterday morning. I mean, I figure maybe 5 of you will get it and of those 5, only 2 of you will think it's FUNNY, but I had to draw it up. lol
Also, while I LOVE the Romulans, I HATE those outfits from Next Gen. I much prefer the Original Series uniforms for them, but with those ridiculous shoulder pads, I decided this version was the funniest to draw. Again, for those that will actually get this. lol
And no... I do NOT actually own a Romulan uniform... yet. ;)

J'onn and Ma'alefa'ak land on Earth and meet Dr. Saul Erdel and his daughter Melissa. While J'onn can quickly learn languages through telepathy, Ma'al learns english and ASL (+ BASL) from scratch. I like the idea of the martians' finding a home in the Black community, and having their reference point for humanity to come from a Black family. The brothers eventually move out to live in their own apartment, but they keep in touch with the Erdels :)

you alone can make my song take flight.
commissioned baldur's gate 3 / phantom of the opera crossover by @infernaldaydreams, absolute legend. i couldn't get this out of my head and she spun it into reality so stunningly.
there's something about the dynamic of the dark urge turning away from their history, away from the path of the absolute with gortash, and towards the path of redemption and humanity with gale that lights up all the sensors in my brain. something about the parallels of ambition, and the choices in front of us. something about the way that this game doesn't just permit you agency, but is about agency, running through every warp and weft. it's just so special to me.
+ bonus gale frame!:
my grumpy wet wifeguy, bless u for this one, lex. i like to think az'zael and gortash forgot about him for a minute while they were fighting lol. just left him there, like, hang on, we got some shit to duke out real quick. he's so cranky. i love him. this whole commission prompt may or may not have sprang from me just wanting to see him disheveled and soaking wet, i'll never tell.

My followers, artists who draw comics, everyone in the world: “you don’t need to spend a lot of time on any of the panels. People skim past and don’t look closely anyway. Just rough in the basics and move on so you can post as quickly as possible.”
Me spending hours painting the background flowers:

Howard Nostrand (1929-1984) - Zombie, c. 1970s
"Pre-Code horror-comics master Nostrand nods respectfully to Roger Hill, one of the field's most important collector-historians and co-founder of the influential EC Comics fanzine known as Squa Tront. Nostrand was a point-man artist with Harvey Comics during its heyday as a rival to EC's horror line. Nostrand's inside-joke device of placing Hill's name upon a figurative tombstone was likely inspired by a 1964 Tales from the Crypt anthology, for which Frank Frazetta had placed his cover-signature on a gravestone"

from the 5-chapter collection of Darkchylde. Apologies for the light reflection, it took two people to hold it open and snap a pic, (and we didn't want to tear anything to hold the centerfold extremely open.) Seems to be the third page
