FAQ:

Can I comment on tumblr or only on AO3?

Either one is great! Some squares are more designed with AO3 in mind, but most can be adjusted to suit tumblr as well, so I say go for it. Tumblr fics deserve love, too.

Can one comment count toward multiple squares if the fic fits more than one category?

Since the goal is for as many fics to receive comments as possible, try to comment on a different fic for each square.

Is there a time limit?

Nope! Take your time or set your own deadline, whatever works for you. This blog is still in its early experimental stage, so feedback welcome. Play around and let me know what you like and what might be added/changed—including ideas for squares on future cards!

Do I have to record progress on the actual card?

Nope! If it’s easier to keep track in a different way, that’s fine. This is all very honor system, so if you say you earned a Bingo, we’ll call it a win 🎉

Some people have been tracking not just completed tasks, but the fics they read along the way, so that when they post a bingo, they can also promote the fics/authors in a little rec list. Not required, but definitely cool to see!

Can I adjust the task in a particular square to suit my comfort level?

Of course! If you deliver something in the spirit of the task, then it’s all good. Use your best judgement in constructing a comment that will make the author smile, and you can consider it a job well done.

In general, so long as each square has produced at least one comment, you’re golden and I salute you 🫡

Bradley looks up from the fruit display to frown at his boyfriend.

“What are those?”

“Marshmallows,” Jake says, holding up a bag as he leans against the cart.

“Why are we getting marshmallows? Do we even eat those?”

“I don’t know, man, I know better than to question your grocery list.”

“I never wrote in marshmallows.”

Jake frowns, snatching the paper out of Bradley’s hand. “Look right here!” He huffs, indignant, and shows Bradley.

“That says macaroni.”

“It clearly says marshmallow.”

“It clearly says macaroni.”

“It unclearly says macaroni. Jesus. Who taught you how to write?”

So when you pause the episode at the end, it looks like both Carolyn and Lily also got bingo. Of course Carolyn makes sense since Jess got it first and they kept playing until Trapp got it (or maybe it was the other way around, the power of editing is strong). But the fact that Lily also got it implies that Trapp actually got it much earlier than it seems and they kept shooting and then made it look like him getting Bingo ended the game in editing.

Which is very funny to me bc I am now imagining a scenario where like. They get Brennan in to replace Grant an hour before shooting. Trapp comes up with a bingo card for him last second and then gets that bingo so quickly that they're like "no we gotta keep shooting actually, we don't have enough to fill an episode yet"

Here we go, this is your first challenge! It's a Bingo card, meaning, you fill any three slots horizontally, diagonally or vertically, yell BINGO very loudly so your neighbours get concerned and then award yourself 5 points for being an amazing fandom participant (the yelling part is optional, the rest is not ;) ).

Allow me to recommend one more awesome Bobadin fic - since @sidhebeingbrand and @toughbreaks were kind enough to let me illustrate their fic for my "Jaster lives" square for @bobadinweek's Bobadin AU bingo card... with a bit of cheating - my love for which only grows and grows with time (and trust me, it does get better with every re-read! ). Fantastic and delightful world building with Victorian era and fae magic, and beautifully written characters where every single one of them vibrate with life. (Boba gets to suffer his 99 siblings, Jango is forced through some emotional catharsis kicking and screaming, and Din is trying his best to be a dad of a fae child. It's just the best, okay?) I'll eventually want to make one more drawing for chapter 2, I just realized during my latest re-read that I imagined the whole scene wrong ^^;

"That a compliment?" Tom comments dryly, but Mav doesn't let it dissuade him.

"...but the brass is going to eat it up." Mav smirks. "Like they say, just imagine them all naked. And if that doesn’t help, imagine me naked instead.”

It works: Tom laughs and finally loosens up.

Y'all remember Carlos saying at the end of last season that he was gonna go back to the DOW? That there's "still so much to learn about that place"?

And how he has a portal in the lab? How Kevin used that portal to come through and fight Boy Kevin? How there's now a sign saying "DO NOT ENTER PORTAL" so nobody could possibly go through it?

How Year 11 was a sort of alternate Year 1, with a new scientist trying to explain everything? And Year 12 being very similar to Year 2 with all its Kevin/Strex talk? The very beginnings of Cecil lore dropping with Cassette and The Auction? (A Story About You and A Story About Them are Year 1 and 2 as well)

How did Year 2 end? With Carlos getting trapped in the DOW for a year, and Cecil falling back into alcoholism to deal with the loneliness as well as being puppeted to fight Hiram and FOW.

And now, with a son and visions of his father that won't go away but also won't stick, what will he do if Carlos leaves again?
