For this week’s video, I finally paid another visit to “Concept Corner” and talked a bit more about an original story concept of mine, as well as how some of the powers might work in it!

This is a compilation of all the finished pieces, which happened to line up in a pretty on-theme way! It took AGES, but it was really fun to try properly visualizing all these OC's in action like this 💛💞❤️‍🔥💙💜💜💚

oh my GOSH I DONT EVEN CARE. I DONT EVEN CARE ABOUT THIS DRAWING ANYMORE I JUST WANT IT TO BE DONE. FOURTEEN HOURS— I’m actually going insane💀

This drawing fame from the most wholesome of intentions and led to being a nightmare ;-: basically like twice a year I get sucked back into Heartless (a story concept by @abd-illustrates hes literally my favorite artist hes super duper cool ✨ u should check out his channel 😼) and then I draw his characters. This time I decided to make a whole illustration with everyone together cuz it’d be funnnn BUT IT WASNT. IT WAS FOURTEEN HOURS AAAAGGGHHH

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely ADORE this story and I’m proud of my self for finally doing a full drawing with them like I always wanted to, it’s just unfortunate that this specific illustration was such a nightmare 😭 (Doppel & Glass I’m talking about ur crazy jackets..). They we’re all super fun to draw, as always, but COLORING is what took 13 hours :(

only me and one other person will understand this post. i really should get around to making refs for my beloved superhero/villain/playing both sides blorbos but i havent yet so.

OH ALSO one last thing. the harvester, crack shot, and mortimer belong to @throneofhavoc-blog, while the rest are mine :)

literally fits almost every pair in this. let me list the specific ideas i have for each bit

play your cards right: mortimer sitting against the wall and checking his phone or smth

kill your stage fright: angel putting on the armor and unfurling her wings

this could be you: dreamwraith looking up the heroes (reflected in their eyes), awestruck and starry-eyed 

ALT:

specifically focuses on rex talking to angel and laying out his plans. would be set in his office, very calm with little movement, and done in cool/desaturated tones to contrast with the next part

in the alt version, this is harvester talking to mortimer. they’re on a battlefield, wreathed in flames, and harvy is pacing around morty with a biiig grin on his face :D

so you be the spy, and i'll be the liar

again, fits nearly everyone. which is good since its a repeated line and the title of the song. however i think it would more specifically be focused on the "liar" half—harvy, rex, gamma, and amaterasu. hell, maybe even miss prism (w crackshot being the spy).

i think this fits seeing as they all handle public opinion, or at the very least, theyre more of the face of the operation. and theyre all VERY good at playing nice and lying when they need to. also gamma and harvy are theater kids <3

ALT:

thisd be where ammy makes her first appearance in this one. still fits everyone tho, and i would use it throughout the song to tie into whatever’s happening in that moment. or whatever Feels the Best

for ammy’s scene it would be her quietly talking to wraith, acting like she only wants what’s best for them and this is all necessary

highest billing makes a killing / they revere me

the first half, i think, goes best with rex and angel. since angel is LITERALLY killing people to make a killing (and for their plans but. sh)

altho i looked up what “highest billing” means and it’s apparently the most prominent actors whose names appear first. which fits very well in the song, but not with rex and angel, as they’re working in the background. maybe more like harvy and morty?

second half is definitely ammy, with how much shes basically worshipped by the people. maybe with wraith in the bg looking conflicted, or the team in general being irritated by her grandiose speeches

ammy’s part remains the same, but the first half would include rex+angel AND harvy+morty. probably goes like:

highest billing: harvy standing on top of a building, looking down at a fire in the streets below

makes a killing: rex and angel shaking hands, with rex grinning at her

oh HELL yeah this fits perfectly with harvy and ammy. he would especially despise her since she's the whole face of the system he hates, the corrosive force that's keeping everything right where it is

ALSO ALSO ALSO. "all these works of art that disguise you" is bringing up some very interesting imagery. something about the way ammy hides behind all her light shows and pretty façades

maybe like, a broken glass kind of effect? like, harvy giving ammy a death glare from across the battlefield, and she smiles smugly as the bg shatters into red

and thats it. i mean theres an outro too and stuff but im not gonna turn this into a full animatic anyways, or not rn at least, so this is fine for now. hope you enjoyed my insane ramblings! im posting this the next day but i promise you that it was written in the middle of the night

undergoing love seems fairly overwhelming, after a bazillion number of neuroscientific researches, probably a dozen of philosophical perspectives, good old stupid romantic comedies and one would assume one knows all about love, they should, perhaps, but again there is this whole ordeal of practicality and theories, and theories are nice, and they are easy on your shoulders, but science has always bred an inferiority complex, well complex makes it seem like a bigger issue but it was rather a sense of alienation, it first occurred on a dinner table one Christmas evening, it was not exactly a grand revelation but rather a gradual blow to his idea, how his mother had funnily asked whether he liked boys as well just after his older and younger brother had made a commotion after a comical coming out, "do not worry, I do not like boys", was what he said, do not worry, I do not like anyone was what Hanazawa Masato actually wanted to say, how peculiar, an alien.

love is funny, attraction works fairly simple in theory, there are a set of qualities humans usually seem to find attractive and either want to experience them personally or in someone who would idealistically be the person they fall for, love is heart-warming they say, well it must be, after all who would want to exhaust themselves over some mere hormonally regulated emotions, though these hypothesis of his usually occur once in a blue moon, they only occur when he gives in, without putting up a fight, why a fight you ask, why not just keep indulging in them, after all he is fairly capable of a person who could articulate these experiences pretty logically, well it was partially because there were no evidences retrieved from personal endeavours, Hanazawa had never been in love, not even close, he was just a mere inspector watching it, jotting down the steps, the conditions, pros and cons, all of that, but never understanding it, why does this occur to people and why does it not occur to him, ah, that was primarily why he does not like to think about it, it brings him nothing but sorrow, a sorrow that is so hollowing he feels it would eat him alive, drowning in academia, solving every possible math equation he could ever counter, being the head of the dorms, the captain of the ping pong club, the president of the disciplinary committee, Hanazawa Masato has a lot of titles, except there is one that haunts him when he has a little energy to observe his ceilings on some rare days when he is not tired enough, alien , an alien, not a lover, an alien, yes, a disgusting alien.

it hits him the second time when he meets two boys, one of them slightly younger than the other, ah, here it goes, he could tell from the very start of it, they would ultimately be together, after all they are eligible enough to be in love, there was visible desire in their eyes, heck, they were so obvious he was afraid he might end up lashing out, why lashing out you ask, well to put it simply he was a little envied, a little angry, well very angry, to the extent that he might end up crying, well crying does not come easily to him, that was a whole ordeal of its own but mostly because he, ah, again, he does not understand it, why would you fall for someone when the entire experience may not turn out to be heart-warming, oh for god sakes, they were living in the 21st century but there were still many little funny people with their not so funny bigoted tongues waiting to bash people just for being in love, he had seen his brothers go through that and frankly just wanted to go and question why would they do that, why would you go through such misery just to be with a person, it was simply confusing but asking that question was a weapon, to his pride and to his existence, he would read more perhaps he would get it one day, it is scary, love seems scary.

note: that was my little aroace hanazawa masato agenda, honestly i have always been really attached to his character as i somehow relate to him, i tried not to project my own experiences but feel free to criticize this piece if you have the time lol. love.

Stumbled on this generator and asked myself if I could really, actually, make a whole clan in less than a hour. and I was bored so I did

Beestar is the sort of politician that one goes, "I know she is making fun of me but idk how, so I'm also just going to laugh also." She also likes making a lot of inside jokes in Gatherings. Heatherclan cats in general have a sort of impish, "secretly laughing at you" type of personality. Starlingtail is the exception to this, making a great deputy. But she would makes great deadpan, sarcastic one-liners every now and again. Ravenfur is generally dopey and gentle, but she holds a grudge a mile-wide and she will not hesitate to use her knowledge of plants for her pranks in retaliation.

Sootpaw, an up and coming imp. Since Heatherclan cats are all mostly on the smaller (and more lithe instead of muscular, as well as short tails) side, their battle tactics are mostly in clever traps and plans. Mentors then teach apprentices how to prank others, as a sort of safe tactics exercise to train them for real life battle. Being taught how to take as much as you give from an early age, also makes most Heatherclan cats maintain a level head against insults and mockery.

Spiderthroat has a sort of Yoda character to him, very wise but also a smart aleck sometimes. Pipitstone entered the elder's den early due to increasing pain in his back legs, but he cracks jokes as a coping mechanism. Shadowblaze loves spreading harmless lies, for fun.

Blackface (generator's name not mine alksaklsjd, will change it to 'Brookface', cause he likes swimming) holds a monopoly on all water-related pranks. Yellowleg has a bias for flower (and therefore pollen) related pranks. Cootnose has plays many pranks related to hunting prey (often misleading apprentices and his fellow warriors to a false trail). Gorsefur loves scaring outsider cats (his clanmates are not scared of him cause they know what a softie he is). And Chanterellestripe loves messing around with kittypets, telling them wildly exaggerated stories of gore filled battles and drama.

Emberwhisker has a sort of Mrs. Weasley personality to her, very fussy. Sometimes she is overly fussy on purpose cause she thinks the reaction is funny. Nightstream loves lazing around, but back when she was more active she held most of her pranks during the night. Bottomline: Heatherclan cats love to be minor nuisances.

Who takes in his distant cousin, who calls him Nephew, and shares a birthday with him each year, then leaves him to begin his own tales of adventure with a precious golden trinket he picked up many years before.

Here's to the Hobbit who falls somewhere in the middle. Who leaves the Lonely Mountain and returns to his books and his armchair, who plants his seeds and watches them grow, all with the company of another. A dwarf who might have been king, but for one reason or another, has decided instead to spend his days beside the company burglar, both of them in their idyllic reshirement. Sometimes they have a child of their own, sometimes they adopt the self-same distant cousin who calls them both Uncle, and sometimes it's just the two of them, but they are always together, and always at peace, at last.

Here's to Bilbo Baggins, who is forever changing in our hands, but who, at his core, will always be courageous, always be impulsive, and always do the right thing, no matter what it may cost him. Who will always be kind, always love a good joke, and always take pleasure in good food and song.
