Rainbow Cookies | Cooking Episode with Alisa Krutovsky

Hi there, I realize that all my cooking videos have been recorded vertically on my phone, so, it will not take up the whole screen, but I have so many of them and I promise I'll re-make them in a video again, maybe as is or with a new twist. I wanted to share this cookie recipe because it's the easiest ever to make. The video is long, but it takes less time to make these cookies than upload this video on YouTube. I promise! The whole idea came when my son's school held a book fair at a school library and I volunteered to bring cookies. I don't bake. Period. I think it comes from my mom who never really baked. Her mom - my grandma, on the other hand, is a great baker. She could have won that The Great British Bakeoff in half round. But she is not British and she is almost 90 years old now. (By the way, I'll be sharing a lot of her recipes here as well. You won't regret!) So, I volunteered to bake. The second I did - I panicked. Cause I don't bake. But I was watching one of the Chef's Table episodes a day before featuring #ChristinaTosi, the founder of #MilkBar and she invented this birthday cake recipe made with cereal (among other things she invented that became iconic to New Yorkers). So, I thought - hell yes, because I have two small kids - I'm in possession of at least 5 different cereals, so I'm gonna take a classic cookie recipe and mix it up with the cereal and soaked in cereal milk. I originally named the cookies "Not a morning person", because I'm not, neither are my kids. But the second my kids bit into a cookie they screamed "rainbow cookies!", so, I present you both names and you can use any of them, there's no trademark!
