"no,  but  unfortunately,  i  was  exposed  to  it  nonetheless,"  he  responds.  it's  hard  not  to  be  when  high-profile  actors  are  now  making  headlines  on  every  entertainment  website,  especially  when  he  works  in  the  same  industry.  he  is  stiff  when  she  waltzes  over  to  plant  a  kiss  to  his  head,  as  if  none  of  his  concerns  matter.  while  he  entered  their  unexpected  relationship  knowing  that  situations  like  this  were  bound  to  happen,  experiencing  it  firsthand  as  her  actual  lover  is  a  different  matter.  though  he  doesn't  consider  himself  insecure  in  love,  he  isn't  entirely  sure  how  to  navigate  this  particular  dilemma.  "is  that  all  you  have  to  say  about  it?"

one  thing  that has  always  been  on  oliver’s  bucket  list  is  the  opportunity  to  spend  new  years  in  new  york  city.  it’s  something  he’s  always  romanticized,  having  grown  up  watching  broadcasts  of  the  lavish  celebrations  in  the  living  room  with  his  parents.  with  the  success  the  monarchs  have  had  throughout  this  year  and  his  newfound  romantic  relationship  with  mina,  he’s  been  able  to  experience  so  many  new  things  that  he’d  never  imagined  he’d  be  able  to.  so  when  the  band  booked  a  gig  at  the  new  york  city  ball drop,  well  oliver  is  more  excited  for  a  show  than  usual.  still  riding  the  high  from  the  performance,  the  tall drummer  practically  jumps  off  stage  in  search  for  his  girlfriend.  their  most  recent  argument  and  problems  they’ve  had  since  slip  away  easily,  pure  affection  and  love  at  the  forefront  of  his  mind.  is  able  to  track  her  down  after  being  stopped  by  a  few  fans  for  pictures  and autographs;  doing  his  best  to  be  polite  about  it  even  though  he’s  in  a  rush  to  see  mina.  with  two  minutes  to  spare,  he  comes  up  from  behind  her  and  lifts  her  petite  frame  up  into  the  air,  spinning  her  around  before  turning  her  in  his  arms  and  bringing  her  close.     “     hey  you.     ”     flicks  at  the  2024  headband  that  currently  rests  atop  of  her  head,  toothy  grin  on  full  display  as  he’s  beaming  with  happiness.  the  countdown  begins  (  5  …  4…  3…  2…  1   …  )  and  once  he  hears  the  crowd  welcoming  in  the  new  year,  oliver  doesn’t  hesitate  to  lean  down  and  press  his  lips  against  hers. multicolored  fireworks  explode  brightly  in  the  sky,  illuminating  their  silhouettes  as  they  stand  amongst the  crowd  with  their  lips  interlocked.     “     i  love  you.     ”     breathlessly  says  once  they  part,  bending  his  neck  lower  so  that  his  forehead  can  lean  against  hers.     “     so  much  and  .  .  .  and  i  need  you  to  know  that.     ”     now  his  fingers  move  to  raise  her  chin  up  so  that  he  can  really  gaze  into  her  eyes,     “     no  matter  what.     ”
