#Repost @poppyperinatalyoga with @get_repost ・・・ Heel Slides and Arm Glides Combo! This is such a soothing and rejuvenating postpartum core exercise. I recommend working on each move alone before combining. For Heel Slides, stabilize bottom ribs on floor and put light blanket under heel while...exhale, extend leg, sliding heel away from hip> inhale, bend leg, sliding heel toward hip. For Arm Glides, stabilize back ribs on floor. Start with hands by hips and palms facing ceiling. Exhale, glide arms up along the floor toward head for as long as upper traps stay down away from ears. (Don’t try to push shoulders away from ears. That creates too much tension.) At the halfway point, slightly bend elbows and lift elbows off floor a little while keeping thumbs touching floor the whole time. (See my arms and hands in the video.) It doesn’t matter if you can’t straighten your leg completely or glide your arms to your ears. What matters is this: feel for relief or pleasure, keep bottom ribs on floor, feel for organic rate of release/opening.
