the first event i joined was almost 10 years ago for xmen first class Christmas exchange (if i'm not mistaken). the art i did for it has long since been orphaned lol but i do look back on it fondly! xmfc was such a creative fandom and to this day i still keep up with some of it.

This is the clip from last night! So, Sykkuno was looking through the kudoboard from his mods with all his friends leaving messages(Everyone from Corpse and Lud to Benji to X even left a video message) and he was so excited to see Corpse added that photo of him from THE TikTok. He pointed out that he was wearing Poki's merch too by coincidence and then was like "wait I shouldn't say this... Nevermind. Well, not exactly."

And then he dropped the bomb. That the hoodie meetup for the second time he had met up with Corpse and he thought that they were just chilling that day so he just threw on Poki's hoodie. He didn't know he was getting the hoodie that day. It wasn't the first time they had met! It was just the first time they shared it with us-and so far the only time but who knows if they've met since because it's none of our business.

But the thing that made me so excited is back at the very end of February, Sykkuno made a comment about getting a hoodie and I will copy and paste my transcription of it because I worked so hard to get it perfect because it was so damn sus.

Sykkuno: He told me he'd hand-deliver it to me. So I'm sure next time or-if-uh-wh-if or when I meet up with him, maybe I'll get it then.

Everyone went crazy at first, but then dismissed it as a misspeak, I saw people saying "There's no way they wouldn't have told us all about it." I made a post about it that got 2 likes and everyone forgot about it and acted like the hoodie meetup was 100% their first meeting, no way it could've been their second. They acted like it was. But I always felt like Sykkuno's stuttering was a slipup, was a leak. That they had already met but agreed to keep it quiet.

Then I saw the tweets on lunch last nights and I tried not to scream. But I was very much had the "I told you so" smile the rest of the night. Thankfully I'm still wearing my mask so I can make faces like that.

So "Next time" was right all along.

okay but a Corpsekkuno among us au based on that one stream with Lud. Except in this one Corpse is the imposter while lud and sykkuno are crewmates.

Toast is trying to decide if the imposter is lud or sykkuno. Corpse places the blame on Lud quickly in an effort to be able to keep Syk with him. This is where they vehemently start defending the other to the point where Sykkuno is sacrificing himself while straight up sobbing and lud is also telling Toast to just vote him (lud) out already so that can get back to fixing the ship. Maybe Toast has a gun trained on Lud but then Sykkuno stands infront of him and Toast can't do it and they run out of time and have to go fix something in the ship immediately.

Corpse is enraged because he cant believe Sykkuno would love someone so much so that he would sacrifice his life for them. He is infuriated because he doesn't like the idea that someone else has a piece of Sykkuno's heart. Corpse knows Lud sussed him as the imposter and that is why he started sticking around Syk when the number of crewmates were diminishing. Lud thought that Corpse had it out for Syk so he decided to be Sykkuno's protector. Corpse is stuck thinking that lud and syk are in love, when it's really more of a codependency they've developed when they noticed there were only 4 left on the ship.

Corpse had placed a claim on Syk, he had even explicitly said that Sykkuno was his at one of their emergency meetings at the start, so lud trying to take him away made his blood boil.

When they go to fix the ship, he sabotages the lights goes on a murder rampage. Somehow, Corpse gets lud and toast in the same area and kills toast first then lud. He them cries out for Sykkuno and places the blame on Toast, that he saw Toast murder Lud and in an effort to help a fellow crewmate from the imposter, he had to kill toast himself, but it was too late for lud. There's blood all over the walls and Corpse is still desperately putting pressure on one of Lud's wounds in an effort to convince Sykkuno. Sykkuno falls to his knees next to Corpse and hides his face against Corpse's chest.

Corpse immediately tucks Syk against his body while trying to comfort a shaking Sykkuno. He's smirking the whole time while Sykkuno cries against his chest because hey, he might have damaged his favorite toy, but he will also be the one to piece him back together and Sykkuno will forever feel indebted to him for saving his life. Corpse sighs in relief because Sykkuno is finally his and only his.

I will never ever be over the fact thar Corpse gave Sykkuno his own hoodie that still smelled like him. Like it’s been like two days since the TikTok dropped and Sykkuno wore the hoodie on stream and shared info on their meeting and I’m still not over it(I’ve been posting about it on a different account, trust me. I was so excited. The fandom melted down and so did I.)

I am SO happy they met, SO happy they had a nice time together even if they are self professed awkward. I am happy they’re keeping what they did quiet for the most part, I am the most vocal person about wanting their friendship to be able to flourish away from the keen eyes of fans and shippers. I do like the little details we got.

Sykkuno laughing at Corpse in the TikTok, looking overjoyed to be with Corpse. Them eating pudding. The way they played Mario Kart. Corpse trusting Sykkuno with his face. Sykkuno welcoming Corpse into his house. Corpse saying today’s stream would be the first time they talked since met in person. It‘s just very sweet and very trusting.

But the hoodie thing. It’s so intimate that Sykkuno literally got Corpse’s hoodie and he knows that it still smells like Corpse so either Corpse purposefully sprayed his cologne on his hoodie or he was just recently wearing it and didn’t wash it and Sykkuno was fine with that. Also. Corpse’s hoodie looks so large on Sykkuno and it looks so adorable. It’s such a cute visual for fanfiction.

I realized last night that in Evermore that when Sykkuno sent pictures of him in Corpse’s merch hoodie Corpse said he wanted to fuck him in that hoodie and I try not to sexualize them but that image is much different with the reality of knowing it’s Corpse’s hoodie and not a Corpse hoodie. Definitely way more possessive.

Ugh. That would’ve been a wonderful addition to Evermore, Corpse giving Sykkuno his literal hoodie. Just because it was more of a unlabeled long distance relationship and felt hopeless at the start but they tried to hold onto each other. And the hoodie could’ve been a physical manifestion of that attempt of trying to hold onto each other. Damn the missed symbolism.

Like sometimes Corpsekkuno is beyong what you can imagine in your wildest fanfiction dreams. And the hoodie is this. I feel such a loss I never could’ve imagined. Oh well. I can write another long distance fic with THE hoodie this time.

Corpse being able to meet up with Sykkuno without being afraid of anything is honestly such a ray of sun with all this stuff going on. Corpse has talked a lot about how he’s uncomfortable even with close friends seeing his face, but Sykkuno, someone he’s only met within a year, is close enough that he’s not only willing to show him his face but meet up with him. Just more proof that Sykkuno deserves the world

Quick rundown of the Corpsekkuno meeting

-Sykkuno was VERY vocal about not wanting to share too much info in case maniac detectives were able to put anything together to protect Corpse's privacy but he dropped some info.

-Sykkuno had a lot of fun. He was very nervous and said Corpse didn't seem super nervous but had a feeling he was too. It was a bit awkward, but Corpse said Sykkuno was exactly how he was online.

-Sykkuno's hoodie is literally Corpse's hoodie. It was a prototype they sent to him to check out/wear so yeah. It's a large so big on Sykkuno but also so cute(Also... size differences). He was showing it off when he came back from the bathroom. He also joked about it smelling like Corpse's cologne and then was like maybe it's not a joke to Leslie so... It's Corpse's hoodie and it smells like him too.

-Corpse brought food with him, including pudding. So they ate pudding together!

-They did play Mario Kart together!!!

-Corpse wants to meet Bimbus.

-Sykkuno, however, did leak what Corpse looks like. Shocking, I know. He looks... Like a very good friend.

I feel like that's the major stuff. Sykkuno is flexing the hand delivered thing and said he was kinda glad he missed out on the initial merch stock on Christmas Eve because then this never would've happened.

On a lighter note, Tina spilled some tea tonight on stream. She said she was there for Corpsekkuno's very first meeting!!!! Not the hoodie meeting, but the secret meeting sometime between Christmas 2020 and the end of February 2021.

She says they were VERY awkward. She had met Corpse before and knew that he was acting very awkward because they were both laughing nervously to fill the silence and Corpse didn't do that when he met her. Sykkuno was putting his hand behind his head too.

That tracks with what Corpse said, after their first "public" meeting, that his first meeting with Sykkuno was one of the most awkward moments of his life, not that it was a bad thing, but it was just nervous giggling.

It's a cute image. Sorry Tina had to be the awkward third wheel(But she loves the boys).

Oh! Tina said "soon" to GTA. She wants to have 2 characters-Tina Corelone, Tony's sister(!!!!) and her own character and I think that'll be so much fun.

Another possible Corpsekkuno meeting crumb? So, way back when in December Corpse mentioned he liked vegan meat lovers pizza and Sykkuno said he wanted to try it and they joked about making it together one day. Well, last night in GTA Sykkuno told someone that he had had vegan meat lovers pizza recently and it was good. So did Corpse bring vegan pizza and pudding to Sykkuno’s place...? Vegas has several vegan pizza options from what I could tell from a simple Google search...

I love that. I seriously love that though. Pizza and pudding. It seems so much like them. Ugh. They have the best secrets from that meeting.

I can't believe it's been a year since I've discovered Sykkuno and the others. October 22, 2020 was the first time I watched a stream and that was the 2nd or 3rd day I had been watching Youtube clips and compilations???

I found them by chance, was wondering if any kpop idols played Among Us and then discovered Jae, a name I recognized, who introduced me to the circle, and I ended up going down the Corpsekkuno rabbit hole. And so I decided to watch one of Sykkuno's streams. And then another.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

I've watched them grow so much. Sykkuno, Corpse, their friends. They were booming, but personal changes takes time. They've grown much more comfortable in their skin and with each other. Best friends for sure. Sykkuno is still shy and awkward but he knows how to handle himself around strangers more thanks to GTA. Corpse has gotten a lot more comfortable meeting friends/hanging out with his inner circle. Leslie deserves 100T and her happiness and friendships and she's so kind and lovely and I've adored her for so long. Salad Gang is wonderful and sweet.

I've seen them go through a lot. Friends came, friends went, finding homes in other communities. Others have carved out a place in their group. There's been so many memories. The Rust era, the H12 one, was golden.

But the very first proximity Among Us stream? With the amigops and Lud and Brooke and Leslie and Courage and Dream and Lupo? That was also iconic. That era got me through a terrible anxiety period. Sykkuno was wildin that day. I remember when I first got into them the AO3 tag had like 3 Corpsekkuno fics and it was a baby fandom and then it exploded. I haven't ready anything for them in months but there was some good stuff.

The GTA era? I tried to resist it but then I gave in and discovered Yuno and Claire and Benji and Dundee and Lenny and I never expected what the casino janitor would turn into but his journey something. For both Yuno and Sykkuno.

It's been an amazing year and that's not counting all the amazing artists I've found on Twitter, all the laughter, funny in between moments like Babushka, the hoodie meet up, so much stuff. I never expected it when I tuned into that first stream a year ago.

So glad I decided to look up Kpop Among Us that day.

So, I’ve been around in the fandom for several months and I used to have several popular posts on my main that I deleted when Jack made a comment about shipping Corpsekkuno. I felt weird about it, but I miss having a place to put my Corpsekkuno thoughts so I decided to made a whole new blog. I’m starting with reuploading my most popular idea, so some of you guys might remember this! I am still super proud of this and other than refreshing a little bit of it, this is still the original thing I posted back Nov 2020. 

As my bio says, THIS IS ALL FICTIONAL. CORPSE AND SYKKUNO ARE JUST FRIENDS IN REAL LIFE AND IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE THIS IS NOT A SPACE FOR YOU. I have no tolerance for people thinking, “Oh, these two celebs are secretly dating.” It is an invasion of their privacy and disrespectful to their wonderful friendship. I definitely believe you can ship without shipping them IRL, that’s how Kpop was for me and thousands of others.

Anyhow, this first post was made back when Logic, Rae, and others were teasing Corpse about E-Girls but the chorus was also giving me AU ideas, the whole “Choke me like you hate me when you love me/Lowkey wanna date me when you fuck me” and him saying he’s not the right one to wait on screams friends with benefits that wants more and I just have an idea.

Corpse and Sykkuno FWB with unspoken feelings AU. Non Youtubers AU, maybe make it be a flower shop/tattoo artist AU where their shops are on the same block, just on different ends. Jack is a mutual friend and introduces them when Corpse moves into his shop and there’s feelings there from the get go. Sykkuno is attracted to Corpse’s voice and warm chuckles that goes against his all black except for silver rings look. Corpse adores how Sykkuno stumbles over his words and blushes and giggles, and finds Sykkuno endlessly endearing.

Somehow, Corpse becomes friends with Sykkuno’s group(Toast, Rae, Leslie, Tina, etc.) and Corpse is open about his shitty life. Anxiety, medical issues, a runaway father, extended family who makes it clear he’s the black sheep of the family, girls who dated him just for sex, but dropped him when they realized his baggage. And Sykkuno hates them all, for how they treated Corpse, who deserves nothing but love and gentleness. His warmth is barely hidden behind his dark clothes. He wants to be loved, wants to love, Sykkuno can see it like a beacon in the darkness. And he knows Corpse wants it with him.

And Sykkuno never thought he’d be in a friends with benefits relationship, but he also knows that Corpse doesn’t think he deserves love. Deserves the traditional relationship Sykkuno has sworn by. He knows Corpse needs time to be shown that he’ll stay when everyone else has left him. It’ll take time, and somehow(Read: I still need to come up with it), they fall into bed together and become friends with benefits.

At first, it’s in the dark or in the dim lamp light. Corpse doesn’t take off his face mask except for when he’s between Sykkuno’s legs, where Sykkuno can’t see his face. The sex is rougher that Sykkuno is used to, more vanilla than what Corpse is used to, but they meet in the middle. Their biggest shared kink is dirty talk, Sykkuno loves hearing filth in Corpse’s deep voice. Corpse loves hearing well-mannered Sykkuno who never even swears turn vulgar and knowing it’s because of how well Corpse is fucking him is even better.

But then one night, in the pitch dark, Corpse asks if he can kiss Sykkuno. Sykkuno is confused, because Corpse doesn’t kiss, it’s too intimate for him with his facial insecurities. Corpse repeats himself, and Sykkuno agrees, and is shocked when lips press against his. And after a month of sex without kissing, the kiss is intoxicating. They start kissing all the time. In windowless rooms in their shops on lunch. Corpse has every light turned off in his apartment before Sykkuno arrives so they can kiss right away, they can’t get enough of each other’s lips.

One evening, they’re just chilling in the living room, on their phones, when Corpse says he wants to show Sykkuno his face, and Sykkuno agrees. He can sense the nerves radiating off of Corpse and is proud that they got to that point. He knows how huge this is, and he’s patient as Corpse works up the nerve. And when Corpse takes off his mask, he’s shocked at the way Sykkuno looks at him. With reverence, likes his face is the most beautiful thing Sykkuno has ever seen, like he’s the most precious thing to Sykkuno. With Corpse’s permission, Sykkuno touches his face, touches like a feather like he’s made out of a porcelain that will crumble if he touches too hard(And he is porcelain. And Sykkuno knows it and knows how to not push too much, but lets Corpse decide the pace of their relationship). It’s one of the most powerful moments in Corpse’s life and some part of him knows that Sykkuno is the real thing. The one who won’t leave. And Sykkuno is so in love, so honored that Corpse trusts him.

After that night, things change. They spend nights eating takeout and talking, going out for walks, flirting at the cafe in between their shops. They go see movies, have inside jokes. Sykkuno doesn’t judge him when Corpse’s anxiety spikes and he wears a mask even when it’s just the two of them. His arms are a safe place that eases anxiety and insecurities. Corpse listens to Sykkuno talk about flowers and how he fell out with his parents a bit when he decided to go full time at the flower shop instead of using his math degree. They’re less friends with benefits and more dating without a label.

Nine months into their arrangement, Corpse’s illnesses/pain is flaring up. He lets Sykkuno see him in pain-vulnerable. And then he has to go to some family function and the next time Sykkuno sees him, it’s clear his anxiety is extremely high. Sykkuno knows all his tells. That week is very tense, and one night, Corpse picks a fight. Yells over something trivial. It’s unlike him, but thankfully Sykkuno knows what this is. Corpse is daring Sykkuno to leave, to be like everyone else who left. It’s a test. So he stays calm. Refuses to get off the couch when Corpse tells him to leave. Corpse goes to wash dishes, and comes back shy, embarrassed by his actions, Sykkuno just opens his arms and Corpse runs into them, cries. He’s fearful and in pain-physically and emotionally. He feels powerless. But he has Sykkuno. He can’t doubt him anymore. Sykkuno will stay, and will love him through every rough patch.

Sykkuno is by his side at doctor’s appointments, gives his opinions on the options Corpse is presented with, and in the end, they decide on a slightly risky surgery. A few nights before the surgery, Sykkuno confesses to his unspoken feelings. They both know them, but they’ve never said it. He doesn’t want Corpse to go into surgery without making things official between them. So, he confesses to being in love with Corpse-that he’s loved him for months now- and asks him out. It is the easiest decision of Corpse’s life. Yes. Yes, he wants to make things official. Yes, he loves Sykkuno too. And he trusts Sykkuno.

And they live not happily ever after, but with each other through sickness and in health. Through anxiety flare ups and arguments with family. Through periods where it feels like they spend more time in doctor’s offices and hospitals than in their home. Through sunlit mornings in bed and warm chuckles and breathless giggles and their first dance as husbands. Their relationship wasn’t the traditional one Sykkuno swore by, but it’s the one that lasts through the decades until they die.

Okay, I’m still very happy about Corpsekkuno and holy shit I now had two posts over 1k, but I am also pissed for Jae’s sake and I wanna rant. Long story short he had to delete his Twitch channel a few hours ago because of backlash from Korean people-knetz we’ll call them for the gaming fans- over jokes all the streamers make but because Koreans demand pure innocent virgin idols they had a fit. And this is so common for knetz for those of you who are streamer fans and not kpop fans. They tried to deomonize a guy for getting his longtime gf pregnant and then marrying her and acted like they had the power to call for him to be thrown out because their money supports the group. Idols have to date in private, sometimes for several years because dating is a scandal that will harm that can harm the group. They have fits over the silliest things and try to insist they’re right. Knetz are crazy guys.

So a few days ago Jae was streaming Rust-I think he plays with Ray, hJune, Ash, and a few others still- and called his friend a sugar daddy and then made a dick joke with a motion that implied a blowjob. So nothing terrible. Like, those are jokes a lot of people would make with their friends, especially gamers. Knetz went crazy, but I will say that the translation was either mistranslated to frame him in a bad light or just didn’t have a nice translation. Saying it was worse that cussing, saying it was disgusting, a fan claimed it was a cultural difference and they were like ‘that’s a cultural difference?’, one was like, it’s only bad because you’re an idol. And it’s like. Would we have thought twice about it? No. Because it was no big deal and the sugar daddy thing was TO A FRIEND.

Jae deleted his Twittch last American night and a few hours ago, posted a letter about how-let me read this pr bullshit he was forced to post because I doubt any of this was him- he said he didn’t comprehend the seriousness of the situation at first but now he understands his immaturity and lack of judgement. And it’s like. Immaturity? For making a couple of jokes? Also, he said as a member of Day6, he’ll put the band and fans first and stop ALL personal livestreams. So he’s basically cutting off his personal connections to fans. And that was so special to him and his fans, especially the international ones. He ended by saying he’ll try to become a better person that we can be proud of and...

Jae, we already are. We are so proud of you for speaking up about how you’re treated. We’re proud of your gaming accoumplishments, your streamer friends know you’re a good man and they’re rallying around you.

It’s all PR bullshit. It reads like a typical Kpop apology. I bet you anything Jae was told he wasn’t allowed to stream anymore and was forced to delete his account and post the statement-a LSF comment claims a friend said that he was told he’s not allowed to stream anymore. I know that. And it just hurts more because streams are Jae’s safe space to just chill and be honest with his fans. It’s his place to be with his friends and relax a bit from the perfect idol image and all that was just taken from him.

I just... Really hope that when September 2022 comes, Jae leaves JYPE and maybe even the Kmusic scene in general. It’s not a good place for him and they just took one of his big escapes away from him. I also have no attachment to Day6 though so that clouds my judgement though. I know whenever Jae comes back to America, he’ll have a ton of friends waiting to meet him though.
