Dani accepts a job given by a vampire. Her clan hunts some monsters like him, but seems like both are desperate: She is broke, and the vampire is dealing with some overwhelming, bad stuff inside his lair.

Spoilers: He is bad with technology and needed to replace a burnt electrical shower head. They become friends.

started a reread. it is. so good. so so so good.

so so so so so so so so good. (like being sucker punched with feels over and over and over)

freaking delicious prose. non-linear, unreliable narrator my beloved.

i have been following this fic for years and it is consistently wonderful. (mmmmmm. top tier angst that Lingers. yeeeees.)
