Modern day Au anime continuation. Mirabel now enjoys the magical girl genre thanks to her older sisters and cousin, but she makes the mistake of watching Madoka Magica thinking it was another wholesome magic girl anime. She goes to Isabela in tears and in search of comfort.

“How could they…?” Mirabel cried in Isabela’s arms, as Isabel patted and soothed her. ”How could they destroy my hopes and dreams?”

“Some people are just cruel and don’t believe in getting what you wish for,” Isabela shrugged. ”It’ll be all right.”

“I thought Magical Girl was about girls being powerful and achieving their fullest potential through the power of friendship and love!” Mirabel cowballed. ”Only for that…that MONSTER Gen…to tear it all apart! Why?!”

“Shh…it’s all right, it’s not real anyway, just a bunch of men with a lot of time on their hands ajd completely wasting it.” Isabela offered as context. ”Sailor Moon and Precure and Cardcaptor Sakura and Tokyo Mew Mew are still where it’s at. So don’t you worry, dear.”

“So you’ve finally been broken by Mami and Sayaka’s deaths…” Dolores said as she sipped her tea. ”Took you long enough.” She poured another cup of tea for Mirabel. ”Here, have some.”

Jesse only sleeps splayed out like you'd expect him to if he feels very safe and relaxed or very unsafe. (he's more spatially aware and appears less threatening and can easier take someone by suprise and also easier to casually keep a hand on peacekeeper or less obvs weapon)

Most of the time though, he sleeps curled up in a tight ball with his few possessions tucked close to him, a remnant habit of his days in Deadlock. Despite all his theatrics, Jesse tries to make himself as inconspicuous as possible when he decides to rest. While he won't make a huge effort to conceal himself, he will steer clear of drawing attention.

Now that I think about it... Everyone probably knows about Spanish bullfights. Ah, I'd like you to know that unlike the world seems to think, we don't kill every single poor animal that steps into the bullring. Usually that only happens in San Fermín, I think. I think. Many towns celebrate it without hurting the bulls. Well most of the time they're actually cows. Except the toro embolado. I'm struggling to translate these things, and I honestly don't think that one has a translation. Basically we lit the bull's horns on fire. After a while of it dangerously running around the ring and probably smashing the barriers a few times, we let it out into the streets. Like the first day when we let a bunch of them out, without their horns on fire, for people run among them and ahead of them. It's... Entertaining, and not that dangerous if you're careful and know some basics.

ANYWAY, my point was, I'll probably take some pictures and record a video or two when they happen in the other town. And I may or may not want to drag someone along with me (probably Koko). Maybe the horse exhibitions and the cowball match too. Please do not ask what cowball is. It's so stupid that I don't know how the government approves of it.
