I thought this was great, these old white men fully and completely used their privileged rizz on me. They were fantastic at shutting down reporters asking about mitchy & jt, they're like bitch sit down this is day 1, we've been interviewing nine coaches, we'll get to that in our pro and amateur scouting meetings coming up this week and next, or won't whatever just to troll you massive assholes.
And then shanny was like craig and i battled on-ice a lot when we played and he was so tender and gentle and that's how i know he'll take care of my beautiful boys.
Then berube's like all you assholes you're lucky i keep my thoughts on toronto hockey media internal bc I've already chatted with all of the players over the phone or in person these past few days and i am already deeply in love with each and every single one of them and would go to war for their hands in marriage, and also hey I'm a canadian boy who dreamt of coaching the leafs and i came here to coach the talent here so i want these hot little fuckers to stick around and frustrate the fuck outta you losers targeting that beautiful little hamster.
And also I swear this was all 💯 verbatim. guys i should work for sportsnet???

it's even worse than i predicted. leafs aren't gutless and refusing to make necessary decisions. leafs are DICKLESS and refusing to make necessary decisions and making up for it by making BAD decisions that will be harmful for our team down the line. brother. i am.

Leafie coaching news:
added Lane Lambert as an associate coach
more on this dude under the cut
assistant coach Dean Chynoweth will not return
contract expired; oversaw the defensive side of the game during his three years with the Leafs and last year was responsible for a penalty kill that finished tied for 22nd in the NHL at 76.9 percent
woof. see ya bud
Guy Boucher and Mike van Ryn, the two other leftover assistant coaches from Keefe’s staff, is still being determined.
Manny Malhotra left the organization to become the head coach of Vancouver’s AHL team.
good for manny!! Congrats to him👏👏
Lambert, 59, served as head coach of the New York Islanders for two seasons, coaching them to a 61-46-20 record (.559 points percentage). He was previously an associate coach with the Islanders for four seasons and an assistant coach for the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators, winning the Stanley Cup with Washington in 2018. What appealed to the Leafs most about Lambert was his track record of coaching structured, defensively sound teams. He was part of Barry Trotz’s coaching staff in Washington when the Capitals got over the hump and won in 2018 and then followed Trotz to Long Island, helping the Islanders reach the Eastern Conference final in consecutive seasons. Lambert was also an assistant to Trotz for his three seasons in Nashville. Another appeal of Lambert: He’s cut from the same cloth as Berube, who was hired in part because of his track record of being direct and up front with players and holding them accountable for their actions. “(Lambert’s) pretty black and white. That’s how he was with the players,” Toronto Marlies coach John Gruden, who coached alongside Lambert with the Islanders, said. Part of Lambert’s roles with the Islanders included scouting the opposition, where Gruden believed he thrived. “(Lambert) was excellent at seeing what other teams were good at and then trying to take it away,” Gruden said. He remembers Lambert as a coach who could easily adapt his game plan to whatever the opposition threw at the Islanders mid-game. “He was always very clear when getting in front of a group and explaining how we wanted to do things. I learned a lot from him,” Gruden said.
