Here’s What to Do With Those Credit Card Pre-approval Offers You Get in the Mail
As tempting and celebratory as those credit card pre-approval offers seem, they’re not actually gifts. They’re advertisements. They serve no purpose other than to sell you something. And we’ve told you before about the money-draining power of advertisements. But just in case, here’s a summary of the insidious nature of ads:
The average person sees between 4,000 and 10,000 advertisements every single fucking day.
Clever marketing professionals design ads to make you feel like the only thing standing between you and eternal happiness is their product. Their tricks are sophisticated, even to the point where you’re excited to see the ad (see the scenario in the intro).
Even when ads don’t work, they are an unnecessary drain on your time, attention, and processing power.

I've said this before but I remember someone calling me to accuse my aunt of something (parking her car at my house and needing insurance or something) and I was like oh. well she's deceased so. And they person said oh I'm sorry! And I said "it's okay. I'm used to it." Or "it happens all the time." Referring to the fact that the person had erroneously called about her, not referring to the fact that true person is sorry she ever died in the first place.
It's just fucked up what capitalism does to death. What if I said "it's not your fault" (referring to them just dead eyed calling down a list of people) what if said "it's not your fault it's probably your boss's boss right?"
Getting sued for being deranged and knowing things (that people used to call my aunts brother, her older brother, my daddy, all the time about nonsense) that the other person (only person in the world, surely) doesn't

Feeling...A Way about the fact that I haven't written *anything* since I started working again. So...three months? Last thing I was working on was that Hazbin/BATB AU and the ADHD has dropped that like a hot potato
Brain is kinda floating around a Doctor Who group chat/fixit fic (Jack forces everyone to get smartphones and Discord) but those are challenging for me cuz my chat dialogue will get too much like actual dialogue or start going in ADHD circles
and also maybe a 'Gallifrey coming back makes it less dangerous to hop dimensions so Rose's little brother does as a rebellious teen thing and TenToo and Rose come looking for him and meet the Fam or similarly ignorant companions and also TenToo chose the name Don Tyler'
Will my brain write them? No. Do my fingers want to use keyboard? Yes, actually, desperately. What will my brain do next? Persona 5 Royal with bg music of 'hey why tf haven't you done the credit card preapproval with the bank yet IDIOT'

Amazon Prime Visa: This Chase-issued card requires a FICO 8 credit score of around 660 to get approved.
Capital One Cards: While Capital One is known for putting multiple inquiries on your credit file, you can lock up one or two of your credit files and they'll only pull from one.
