Dream SMP Season 2 idea:

Pandora's Vault exists, still. It is half sunk into the sea, very obviously an old ruin, and there's something - off, about the place.

It's not just a building any more, of course. It's old, filled with pain, haunted. Things this old have their own kind of intelligence, change and evolve into something else.

It's a dungeon now. Filled with monsters, traps, loot, a boss. Filled with things best left undisturbed, if you ask anyone wise.

c!Tommy, enthralled by the idea of loot, is not wise. c!Dream, enthralled by the idea of secrets, is also not wise.

c!Philza, a strange old man who lives alone and seems to know more than everyone else (not that he ever opens his mouth to talk about it), warns them away. They do not listen.

The dungeon is indeed dangerous; once they step in, the entranceway disappears behind them, trapping them inside. There are traps, chests of loot, and monsters - constant Mining Fatigue makes it impossible to carve their own path through, so they're forced to navigate the shifting hallways.

There are crawling black-purple vines and thorns everywhere, lingering remnants of red but that colour has been bled out of them, appropriated for another master. These vines get thicker the closer to the centre they get.

At some point, c!Dream loses c!Tommy in the criss-crossing and confusing platforms and walk ways - he can't quite recall when or how it happened, though.

The boss chamber is in the very centre of the Vault, and there he is, the spider in the middle of the web: huge and tall, oversized the way many bosses are (according to Philza), gold-trimmed netherite armour and a gleaming trident, he looks a bit like a creeper hybrid but if he ever was one that was long ago; he's something else now.

The boss is surrounded by black-purple vines, and they pierce through him, trailing from him as though he were struck through with a dozen harpoons. Like so many chains, they hold him here - he is as much the master of this dungeon as he is its captive. Total control, but only within, and he cannot leave.

He does not want to leave - this place is his. His prison, his home.

"So, you've come back to where you belong," the boss says.

"I've been waiting for you," the boss says.

"I knew you couldn't stay away forever," the boss says.

"You belong here," the boss says.

c!Dream would like it to be known that at this point he has quite had enough of this dungeon, is wishing he'd listened to Philza when he'd said to stay away, and that his whole body hurts as his flesh remembers what his mind has forgotten. The haunting is an open, unhealed wound.

"Hahhh, no, I'm leaving," c!Dream says, distracted, as he tries to figure out an optimal path over the lava lake, where he should leap on the deepslate and netherite rocks and platforms to make it to the door on the opposite side of the room. The boss, surely, will try to stop him, but c!Dream is fast and surefooted - he can dodge any attacks. He thinks.

"You will not escape," the boss vows, which c!Dream is very much not a fan of.

"You have no right to keep me here!" he says as he sets off running, leaping for the first stepping stone above the scorching lava and using his momentum to carry him to the next. He's got a long way to go.

This seems to utterly incense the boss, striking some deep nerve and causing the very walls to shake with his fury as he turns to try to snatch c!Dream.

"I am the Master of this Vault!" the boss roars. "I am the Warden."

The boss room is nothing but a huge cell, the vines of the boss' power spread so perfectly throughout the dungeon in turn chaining him there. Above, c!Dream can see c!Tommy hovering in the open entranceway he's aiming for, frozen with his crossbow out.

As he flies through the boss room and tries to reach the door, c!Dream shouts back the truth that he knows, welling up from somewhere deep inside that only his nightmares can touch:

"But you're not, you're the prisoner."

c!Sam is such a batshit insane character to me from what I know. he's a crazed prison warden who's weirdly obsessive over his prisoner. he let's him get tortured by his business partner. "everything's perfect when its just me and him." he built the entire intricate redstone prison himself to hold one guy. he's a technical and electrical engineer and architect. he's canononically a stripper. hes either a creeper centaur hybrid or just some guy with black eyes that can breathe smoke. he kidnapped a child. he got thrown back into his own prison by his own prisoner. he got his face ripped apart by aforementioned escaped prisoner. he's a clone of a clone of a clone of ect. of himself from a long time ago. the angel of death knew his original iteration. he was a king. sam bucket. he created a robot to be friends with tommy because his crazy ass was to busy guarding cdream while cquackity was torturing him. what the fuck.

Hybrid AU in exile week where avian instincts can take over to a degree that is almost horrific, erasing someone’s personality and rationality when they’re panicking. First part here.

I swear to GOD the next one is the last. NO MORE CHAPTER MITOSIS

The firelight flickers, enchanting as it sends up spiraling pine-scented smoke into the constellations above. “Woah!” Techno laughs, throwing an arm out to stop Tommy from getting closer to the campfire. “Stay back, feather duster, you’re going to get singed!” 

“How am I supposed to sit at your side if you’re practically inside the fire!” Tommy shoots back. There’s no practically about it; the piglin’s hooves warm themselves on the coals of the blaze, happily toasty. Meanwhile, one accidental brush of feathers and Tommy will go up in flames. Wings ruffling in annoyance, Tommy glances at the ragged pair, irked to once again be held back by them. True, with proper care and time they’ve lost their desolate edge, but the filling out wings only increase his chance of catching fire. 

His fingers itch with the impulse to pull out his feathers. Tommy busies himself with preparing a s’more with Philza. 

He perches on a log next to Philza, the distant fire crackling away. His back is cold as the arctic night presses against the bonfire’s brief shelter, but Philza drapes a large wing around him for warmth. At least his wings aren’t as big as Phil’s, he consoles himself. Tommy takes up less space that way. He’d used to sprawl, pushing to fill the world. But his abuser taught him it was easier to cut away the parts of himself that were too obnoxious for others to deal with. Get out of the way, don’t be a problem and you won’t get what’s coming. He would’ve cut his wings off, too, if he could’ve. Some days he still wants to. But no, it will hurt like hell and Phil and Techno will be upset. He can’t afford that, it’s bad enough how often he’s cussing them out and breaking their stuff. Their irritation runs like an undercurrent, sending alarm bells ringing.  Part of him hates himself for it, begging to appease Phil and Techno, to fawn until he’s forgiven and safe. Part of him is terrified of it, waiting for punishment that never comes.

But another part likes the alarms and screeching panic, because it means he can tell when a situation is dangerous. Because last time he made himself palatable and all it did was chew him up. Tommy’s lost the knack for pulverizing the ugly parts of himself, and he reckons that might be a good thing even if his instincts scream that his friends are going to start hating him. Still. If he did cut his wings off, he could never again feel his abuser’s soft fingers petting his feathers. Maybe if he starts cutting off the parts of him that are easy to love no one will ever take advantage of him the same way. 

Tommy hears the hiss of his abuser’s TNT even if he can’t see it. Automatically he drops to his knees, obediently clawing into soft dirt to make a hole. Phil shouts, an arrow flinging the explosive back, but the thunderous cacophony swallows him all the same, and suddenly he’s drowning in weeks old fear. Tommy is lost in the high-pitched shrieks of a scared chick, chirps ripping out of his throat and panic blotting out his mind. He frantically calls for his abuser to rescue him, and only in a hazy recess of his mind does Tommy remember his abuser is dead and never coming back. 

The first thing he registers when he comes back is the dirt caked under his claws from clawing into the earth. The little splotches of mud from where his tears stain the ground. The dark aegis of Philza’s wings sheltering him, the older avian crouched protectively overhead. Territorial alarm caws pour from him, head frantically whipping as dilated eyes search for a threat to his chick. Great. Now he’s making his stupid instincts Phil’s problem. As if it wasn’t bad enough to be weak and helpless, now he’s triggering Phil’s instincts and robbing him of free will, too. 

“Creeper, guys,” Techno winces. “Just a creeper.” His cautious approach freezes as Philza locks onto him. There’s a tension in his eyes, wary and sad, as he waits for his best friend to attack in an instinct blinded rage. 

But Phil doesn’t, more concerned with covering his chick. The alarm caws cease as he realizes there isn’t danger. Tommy tries to wriggle out from under Philza, but when Philza’s head jerks to stare at him his eyes are still dilated. Worried chirps replace his cawing, pinning Tommy down and checking him over for injuries. Right. He supposes ensuring the chick is safe includes more than just fighting. But he isn’t hurt, the creeper wasn’t anywhere near him. 

The answer comes from Tommy’s own instincts. He clamps down on the first notes of a coo, realizing it’s supposed to assure his guardian he’s alright. But it’s only the trigger for the next phase. The natural next step is to calm the chick. The coo builds up in Tommy’s throat, aching the longer he suppresses it. Nauseous fear tenses him. No. No, please, he can’t go back to that state again. It’s taken so much from him, breaking him into something pliant and pleasant and easy to love. Easy to control. 

Tommy digs his talons into Philza’s arms, clawing in until blood wells up. Snarling and kicking and biting and unlovable and yet it doesn’t save him. It only gets so, so much worse, Philza’s worried chirps giving away to adamant coos, to soft caresses through his thrashing wings. 

“PHIL!” Techno calls, startling forward. “He’s alright, alright? Let him lea-mph!” Philza’s wing smacks him hard, hurtling him back. For a second his eyes meet Tommy’s, and in an instant Tommy knows he could charge right then and there and tear Philza off him, to hold him at bay while Tommy escapes. Techno could rescue him. 

But he won’t. It would cost him too much to fight Phil. 

“Phil, the creeper is dead,” he tries gently. “Come on bro, nothing’s wrong. You’re the one freaking the kid out.” Techno coughs roughly, then breaks into a purr like the crackling churn of a redstone contraption. “See?” he rumbles, “you can stop now, Phil. Stop.”

If anything it just makes it worse for Tommy, yearning strangling him. It hurts so bad to shove his coo down. Tommy, the real Tommy, wants to howl, but the stupid animal inside him is stronger. The world darkens, hazy and hard to reach no matter how he struggles. Vision smearing into something warm and pleasant, Tommy can’t tell if the tender hands running through his hair belong to Philza or his abuser. 

His body automatically relaxes as the soft coo breaks free from his throat. Despair wells in Tommy, but it slips through his hands, his real thoughts fading as artificial calm drowns everything out. 

The hands combing through his hair freeze as the assurance releases Philza from his protective instincts. “Sorry,” Phil croaks. It shatters the spell. His abuser never apologized. He scrambles away, leaving Tommy flat on his back, watching the swirl of constellations overhead. Tommy would like to be angry, but it’s been drained out of him, the dregs of bliss acerbic in his mouth. 

He wants to attack Philza, vaguely. He should. Maybe it would stop this from ever happening again. All he has to do is stop the older avian from caring about him. But the thought of what it would take to make the kind and patient Philza truly despise him makes Tommy feel quite sick if he’s honest. Even now Phil is apologizing, concerned and compassionate and utterly confused when Techno presses a healing potion in his hands for the wounds Philza hadn’t even noticed. Tommy’s hands curl into fists so he doesn’t have to notice the blood under his claws. 

Techno offers Tommy a hand up, and he just stares at it. “You good, bro?” 

Tommy expects the offer to drop as he doesn’t respond, but Techno remains reaching for him. “I hate that I’m like this,” Tommy says quietly, watching the crescents of wounds buried in Phil’s flesh vanish in a curl of rose magic. 

“Alright,” Philza measures carefully. “So what can we do to become a Tommy you don’t hate?”

“Nothing. I’m just like this now because of him, I won’t ever be the Tommy I used to be.” 

“Hm. Maybe a better question is what types of things does a better Tommy do?” 

“Maybe… doesn’t waste your time with stupid crap like this.”

“It’s not a waste of time if you need help,” Phil assures him. 

“But a better Tommy wouldn’t need help.” 

“That’s just not true, mate. Everyone does. Me and Techno aid each other all the time. We care about you and want to support you.” 

“Then a better Tommy would make it worth it to care. He’s nicer. Doesn’t shout and break your stuff when you’ve only been kind to him. But whenever I act like that, it feels close to the preening. And I don’t want to get stuck like that, all cuddly and fawning and nauseatingly meek. It feels like I’m losing control, just trying to do appease you so I don’t get hit. And- and if I’m awful enough you’ll leave, too, and then I won’t have to worry about it at all. But that isn’t working, either. I don’t get it. I’m awful. I’m awful on purpose. Why do you put up with me?” 

Techno shifts from hoof to hoof, firelight tossing his shadow wildly. “While I admit it would be cool if you stopped smashing my cupboards…I get it. Heh, you should see our training room after I’ve had a bad day. I’d prefer that frustration is channeled into something productive instead of being taken out on us, but we can work on that. You went through a lot; it’s okay if recovery is rocky. Besides, after I baby-proofed the house it hasn’t been too bad. You’re going to have to try a lot harder to get us to hate you. But I gotta ask, is that really what you want?” 

Tommy bites his lip, eyes burning from staring at embers for too long. Or perhaps it’s the threatening tears, but Tommy refuses to admit that. Does he want them to hate him? Will it be okay to hate himself if the entire world does? Will he be finally safe if no one cares? “It’d be easier if you did.” Then he won’t have to wonder what they could possibly see in him that he can’t.  

“We’re not trying to make it easier for us,” Philza explains. “This is about what would make life easier for you, Tommy.”

“I wish stupid things didn’t upset me, like touching and grooming and holes and obsidian and smiles and feathers. But most of all I hate my instincts, the way I just shut down. How ease to manipulate it makes me.”

“Those hatchling instincts aren’t forever, mate. You’ll grow out of them, just like I did when I first flew.” 

“But I can’t! I’ve tried, Phil, all it did was nearly kill me! I can’t fly, and maybe I never will.” 

“I never said you have to fly alone.”

Wilbur has PTSD from the Independence war for one episode and then it’s magically healed by Niki telling him it’s not his fault people died. (This is her entire character arc for season 1)

Techno is a literal pig. He turns into a man sometimes tho.

The writers want Sam to only have one life left after Dream kills him so Sam gets hit by a truck while he’s yelling at Quackity for sleeping with Ponk. Chasing cars plays while Quackity and Ponk sob in each others arms by his hospital bed.

Reivebur randomly grabs Quackity, throws him over his shoulder and runs away with him into the sunset in the mid season finale. The next episode Q is back and this is never explained.

Eret and Reivebur look at each other and it becomes a huge ship on on tik tok. The writers hate this so much they give Wilbur a girlfriend in Utah named Callie.

Straight phobia is real. Wilbur calls Phil a “hetro” and Niki beats him up for it.

Dream and dreamXD kiss. The writers get canceled for writing incest on twitter so they make it Gnf having a weird Dream and that’s worse.

Shells in the Foam (a Hermit!Tommy fanfic) - Cedarwhisp21

When Dream attacks Tommy in Logestshire, Tommy runs. Badly injured, he somehow manages to slip between worlds and wakes up in a badlands biome, on a server far from home, with no other players in sight.

The Hermits are surprised when a new player logs in, and confused when no-one's at spawn. Five days later, after waiting for the new player to introduce themselves, Xisuma uses his admin abilities to access their coordinates. He takes Impulse with him to welcome the new player to Hermitcraft, but instead of the beginnings of a base, they find something a lot more concerning.

for c!dream, he's either human or a rabbit hybrid to me! i tend to think that 'just human' is more canon, if you will, but rabbit hybrid is kinda my favorite. i think it's very fitting, as someone who has a rabbit! i specifically see him as a light brown flemish giant or a palomino rabbit, leaning more towards the latter!

c!wilbur is usually also just a guy but if i give him animal features, in my head he's based off a secretary bird!

c!bad is a very tall demon man. c!ant is basically just a cat except a little bigger. think puss in boots. that's ant to me.

c!puffy and c!schlatt are both sheep! a cotswold and a jacob's sheep respectively.

c!tubbo is a goat i guess because it's popular headcanon but honestly? i see him as his minecraft skin. he is just some blonde teenager to me. same with c!tommy. you could find both of them at a mall or whatever.

c!skeppy to me is like.... a diamond construct thing. or at the very least, some kind of diamond based imp. but generally i see him as this small construct! kinda like a copper golem but skeppy.

i dig the idea of a pig hybrid c!niki (i love pigs) but generally she's either human and pretty buff or i'll go with the cat hybrid thing!

c!tina is a jackalope demon thing masquerading as a cat girl. c!hbomb is, hear me out, a cow hybrid also masquerading as a cat girl. this makes sense in my head.

then a lot of my opinions do fall in line with fanon opinion for the most part. like, yeah, phil is a blond dude with wings. techno is obviously a pigman. same for the rest of the dteam (though i kinda have a thing with c!george being part warden 'cause of how much he sleeps, don't ask but they're also both blue coded so). c!sam is obviously a creeper hybrid of some kind.

i want so badly to have c!eret be a swan or peafowl hybrid because those are so elegant and especially peafowl have some amazing colorations that scream royalty but i do dig the herobrine lore connection.

if i had my way, c!jack would be a cyborg donkey hybrid, specifically a mammoth jackstock. it would look so sick.

“So what, you just let them stay alone, when you knew Quackity and Sam were around?” Dream spits out as he brings the phone back to his ear, though not before pulling a good chunk of his hair out (it's fine, he can hide it).

“I- I didn't know! I promise Dream I- I didn't see them and- god fuck we can't do this! We can't- I know it's my fault but… we need to figure out how to get them back not all the ways I fucked up!” Wren rambles over the line, her voice clearly choked with tears and fear. “Who knows what they could be doing to them!” That makes all the anger freeze in his veins as he’s reminded of all the ways his little sibling could be getting hurt.

God knows Quackity wouldn't give a shit they're a fucking teenager (in all fairness, he didn't have any qualms about such things with, a certain blond springs to his mind at that). But his past actions aren't the fucking point! The point is that they could, and probably are being hurt right now.

Maybe Sam still had some semblance of a moral code, he did always emphasize Tommy’s age after all. Dream can only hope that's the case, though at this point he wouldn't put anything past the creeper hybrid.

“Your- your right. We need to get them back. Where are you? Actually no fuck that, just come and get me, drive me to where they last were, I’ll search.” Dream’s voice is as un-scared as he can manage. He’ll get them back. He will. And when he does he is going to give Quackity and Sam a fate so so so much worse than just death.

“I already searched. There's no trace of them.” Wren mumbles out.

“Well as we have already proven today, clearly you're not the best at noticing things huh?” It's a cruel remark, he knows it, he can practically feel her flinch across the phone. But he's too angry, he’s too scared, overall his emotions are just too all over the place to be at all considerate or comforting.

I was just kinda going for the general fanon consensus on their design ngl. i wanted to go for more unique color pallete, i think, and while i haven't seen their stuff, i just put together smth that looked neat ngl

I don't really see any ant designs that like. do anything more than make him a anthro cat. maybe i dont see enough ant designs, who knows. i also never see him in glasses. so i like the concept of him having glasses that kinda have cat ears because i think they're cool lookin. also wanted some puss in boots inspo. wanted to lean into the 'frost' part of his name too, hence the blue-ish tones. and wanted to throw in some red velvet colors for obvious reasons.

I just kinda threw together design elements i've seen and liked in sam lol. i think creeper centaur sam slaps, and i like it when people draw cat like creepers because its funny. I also was trying to go for unique crowns for the like 5 people on the server that had them.

i wanted to go for like the reds and blacks that he's known for obviously, and tried to lean into the cult thing with the egg with some choices. the AI art at the bottom was added because this was before i realized how awful it was, because i thought it would be neat to play around with design choices i wouldn't have thought of otherwise. the spider lily is actually due to my concept of having every eggpire member associated with a certain part of a plant, with bad being the petals.

Again, another streamer i dont really know. just went for things that vibed.

as you can tell i had no ideas for callahan. maybe i was trying to go for like an android?? idk man. the electric mask was for the concept of instead of talking obviously , the words would just scroll across his face. deer cape because capes are cool.

as you can tell, i was losing motivation for cool designs and lacked inspiration. the land siren thing is actually my own concept/explanation for hybrids. basically a species thats highly adaptive that mirrors humans and often eats them. got land, marine, and air. all based off of animals that live there.

i think i just wanted to bully connor ngl. i think his sonic onesie should be like the og movie sonic. terrifying. he also gets participation trophies.

Wanted to go for like a big mix of stuff with dream because i had too many concepts. wanted some stuff from cat because, ya know, green and black. black mamba dream is cool, idk where i saw it, but its cool. i also like the concept of dream with butterfly traits to mimic moth/spider tommy. because butterflies are freaky but most people like em. the gold heart is because i associate that texture with the revive book. yada yada. this was also made before the dream drama came out.
