'Nachtkrapp (Night Raven)' published in spookyeurope 's (on IG) second issue 👁🌙
Really enjoyed painting this! I find the Nachtkrapp very fascinating, it's my favorite Austrian folklore creature. Second favorite would probably be Perchta. Speaking of whom, an illustration I painted of her will be published soon by one of my dream publications! Please stay tuned 👀

The Great Day of His Wrath, John Martin, 1853
One hopes it is nigh.
We got to see this live at the Tate back in March. Pretty awesome, except for some stupid reason, they've hung it 15 feet in the air, shoved in the corner of a large gallery. The light reflects off the surface of the painting, making it difficult to see it properly.
