So uhhh sorry for the late reply, guys!

I thought it would be a quick one, because to be honest I don’t really have many new things to say about the two, especially because we don’t really see them often and don’t know much about them. But as I started writing, this happened.

I thought the post would be mostly wholesome but still ended up writing something horny. It isn’t that bad though, should’ve been more cursed to be honest.

Back when Crewel was a student, he saw a picture of younger Trein in a school photo album at NRC library. His initial reaction was to show it to everyone, but something stopped him, so he never did. For some reason, he felt very possessive and jealous over that newfound knowledge, even though the fact that Trein was young once isn’t really a secret lol He cringes when he thinks about it now. But he still comes to the library to look at it every once in a while. And thinks that Trein seemed like a bore even when he was Crewel’s age lol

Crewel was super happy when Trein let him to look after Lucius while he was gone (during the Masquerade event). When Trein mentioned that he was worried about Lucius because he couldn’t bring him for the trip, Crewel replied with “I can take care of him” so quickly that it was almost embarrassing. He himself wasn’t even sure why he was so eager to take the cat home, considering that he wasn’t even a cat person. This is why he made all those teasing jokes about how he was going to make Lucius learn all kinds of dog tricks – it was mostly him trying to make Trein remember that he was still annoying as fuck and wasn’t helping him out just to be nice.

Sam knows what’s up between them, mostly because Crewel chats with him every time he buys cigarettes and other stuff at his store. Crewel doesn’t lament about his conflicting feelings, but he does complain about Trein a lot, and Sam knows how to read people, so at this point this is Sam’s personal irl dorama lol Vargas wouldn’t know that something is going on even if he saw it with his own eyes, and Crowley… who knows?

Despite being seemingly naive and oblivious, Trein is aware that Crewel thinks that he is vanilla. Trein doesn’t think he is vanilla (in fact, he considers this term quite ridiculous), he just thinks he is classy + an old man. But it does tickle him when Crewel gets frustrated with him, so sometimes he even teases him by making it seem like he doesn’t understand what Crewel is talking about. Trein isn’t nearly as naïve as Crewel thinks he is, so he really enjoys it when Crewel is fuming but can’t explain why. This boy is such a child sometimes….

The first time Crewel kissed Trein was during some kind of after party for teachers after the school event. Vargas and Sam went to get more drinks, Crowley also wasn’t there (remember when they didn’t invite him? lol), so Crewel just sat closer to Trein, flirted with him and then just went for it. Maybe it was the alcohol, but Trein was kind of teasing him back, but he still didn’t realise that they would end up kissing.

Trein kind of thought that it wasn’t that serious, and that Crewel would finally calm down after that, in a “whatever happened back then doesn’t matter” way. But the opposite happened because Crewel started flirting with Trein more openly and aggressively after that, asking him personal questions, leaning and touching, acting like a predator at times. The mature thing to do for Trein would be to scold Crewel and set strong boundaries, but for some reason he didn’t… isn’t he just too lenient with this boy?

When that started happening, it was Trein’s turn to be conflicted, because Crewel suddenly got super determined, as if that one sloppy kiss made it super clear that he wants to fuck Trein. So it became his active mission all of a sudden, resulting in a lot of “by the way, when was the last time you had sex, Trein-sensei?” and “did you know that students used to make out on your desk when I myself was a student? I was one of these people”. These questions annoy and embarrass Trein, but he tries to stay calm… while obviously blushing.

Things very quickly turned pretty physical with them, basically Crewel just started catching Trein, hugging him, touching him, groping him sometimes; whenever they are alone, he’s going to cling and put his hands under Trein’s robes. He likes to touch his waist and hips, and a lot of times this is enough to leave poor Trein red and panting, but he does touch his private parts as well. And then at some point Crewel would start humping against his hips, and things would get so scarily close to them having sex at school, that Trein would push him away and avoid him for a couple of days.

Trein was refusing to have sex with Crewel for like a month or so, but then his strict “no” turned into “not in school”. Which prompted Crewel to invite him to his place or a hotel (preferable), but Trein refused… so, in school it is then. At the library. The same one where Crewel found that one picture all those years ago. But this time it’s not him looking at an old picture longingly, this time it’s him fucking the man from that picture on the desk. And the man biting his glove fiercely not to make any sound. He really hates how much he loves it.

Remember when Crewel thought that he would be free after having sex with Trein? Jokes on him, because now he is fully obsessed and thinks just how much bdsm Trein’s body could handle. He’ll definitely make him wear a collar now that he knows that Trein is going to complain, but ultimately do whatever he asks him to do. Even if it means that Trein is going to tease him afterwards for being a kid and playing with toys.

Can you believe we live in a timeline where I get asked about Crewel/Trein headcanons? Isn’t this the best?

These two are such a funny ship, I feel like we joked about it for like 1 moment and then instantly got into them, like the thoughts kept coming. We don’t give them as much attention because we just love the other boys way too much, but there is still stuff that I want to draw with them… let’s hope for the best.

Now, the headcanons.

Their relationship really is kind of tense: they argue quite a lot because of the differences in their approach to teaching. The fact that Crewel has a thing for Trein doesn’t help, sometimes he gets irritated by him just because he really wants to claim Trein (ahem), but can’t do that due to several reasons.

Crewel’s had this crush ever since his college years, but it actually started with him thinking “this professor scolds me, always nags about my looks and habits, god how much I want to make him cry”. And then Crewel slowly realised that it was actually more of a horny thought than a malicious one… he actually started attending Trein’s classes more diligently after that realization. He spent more time fantasizing about Trein than listening to him, but still.

Trein is aware that Crewel has some interest in him, but doesn’t realise how serious he is + kind of thinks that Crewel will get over whatever feelings he has for him pretty soon, he is quite a young man, after all. Thus, Trein chooses not to acknowledge Crewel’s feelings and flirting attempts. Crewel hates that Trein still treats him like a student sometimes.

They actually enjoy their time together when they get to play chess, and both are kind of frustrated when they have to get back to work afterwards. Trein – because he wanted to play some more, Crewel – because while playing chess with Trein is fun, it’s not enough for him.

Crewel is actually conflicted about whether he wants to pursue Trein sexually or not. Crewel’s libido is quite high, so he wants to do that, but at the same time he knows that he is probably way too intense for Trein, who doesn’t seem that interested in sex in general. Granted, Crewel knows nothing about Trein’s previous sex life other than the fact that he managed to produce two daughters. But he still feels like Trein is very conservative in bed and not very driven in general. He also thinks that Trein is a hopeless romantic deep inside, and while it makes Crewel roll his eyes, he actually finds it very cute. But still, having a crush on a vanilla old man while being a pretty intense and horny young lad is kind of tough.

So I been wondering how Crewel feels when Trein's wife passed away? I mean Trein dearly loves his wife and it might heartbroken to see her passed on.

You know, Anon, I thought we already had a reply related to this, but turns out it’s just a reply about Crewel being jealous lol Sooo…

I think it depends on when exactly she died. It could have happened when Crewel was still a student, and in that case he probably wouldn’t do anything, even if he felt bad for Trein: he would have just though that it’s none of his business and he should let the man grieve. It probably would’ve been one of the rare instances where he would have felt genuinely bad for him, despite the antagonistic nature of their relationship at that point. But still, if Trein stopped coming to work for some time, Crewel would have said stuff like “it’s a good thing that he isn’t teaching now, the man became such a bore after his wife died”, simply because he wouldn’t know how to express his genuine sympathy towards him.

If it happened after Crewel graduated, but before he started working at NRC, he would’ve been shocked and maybe considered reaching out to Trein to express his condolences, but he wouldn’t have done it. He isn’t a student anymore, and it’s not like they are close, so he would feel like this is both inappropriate and weird (because expressing any kind of genuine feelings towards Trein is off by default, as he is way too used to their snarky conversations. And antagonism).

But if it happened not so long ago, when they are both teachers at NRC and Crewel is more mature and confident in the way he expresses himself, he wouldn’t have any problems saying that he is sorry about Trein’s loss.

honestly, i personally don’t think trein is that vanilla. if i remember correctly in masquerade the students joke about how trein “did it” with his wife under the bridge… and even if it is just a joke, what if trein actually digs it? imagine crewel hearing about it from his students gossiping and getting ideas, too

Trein, while seemingly being quite romantic and not that interested in sex, could have done certain spicy things in his past. Judging by the way he speaks about his wife, it seems like he loved her dearly, so it would be only natural for him to be less…appropriate at times. Plus, there is certain level of romance in doing it under the bridge of a pretty French town lol

When I was talking about Trein being vanilla, I was mainly focusing on Crewel’s perspective; I believe he is so used to seeing him as this frigid strict figure that it’s very difficult for him to imagine Trein being into anything even remotely resembling non-vanilla sex. So, like you said, if he hears students gossiping about what Trein could’ve done (and knowing the students, they’re definitely going to get a lot of ideas, and wild ones too lol), his mind is going to be blown. He’ll definitely regret not going to the City of Flowers with them… Because then he could’ve asked Trein about it there, and maybe even get some alone time with him. But oh well, at least now he has a lot to think about… and a lot of new sexual frustrations to throw at poor Trein lol

Also, leave it to the NRC students to clown their poor teacher who is reminiscing about his late wife, these piranhas.

Technically I have drawn him (I’ve drawn flashbacks of him and Crewel) buuuut I always forget about the fact that Trein looked younger back then. For some reason he’s just always a 60 y.o. grandpa in my drawings lol Maybe one day I’ll draw him in his 40s… Since his supposed daughters (or at least their prototypes…) have black and ginger hair, and I don’t see him as a ginger at all, I would go with either black or dark brown.

I guess we just have different “images” of fathers in our heads, which is totally okay. When I joke about Rook being “fatherly” towards Epel, it’s usually a “that dad who just smiles at you and doesn’t interrupt your fight with your mom, because “you know your mom is always right sweetie” but would give you headpats and a cookie afterwards” thing. This + just how genuinely excited he gets when Epel gets better at magic, how eager he is to share this with Vil + the fact that he helps Epel with his homework/lab stuff, frankly. Doesn’t necessarily mean that he is “a father”, just a “kind of fatherly and mom’s partner” figure….  Or a “bodyguard of your new step-parent that they’ve been banging on the side long before they met your parent” even lol

Once again, it’s completely up to your personal preference. Like I already said, it’s just one of many ways to read it and one of many many angles of their dynamic, not just “aw look at our baby”. Epel is much more than a baby to them. These three are kind of cursed to be honest lol but in a good way.

In my head Idia and Azul are fighting for the first place, Vil and Malleus are fighting for the second place, Riddle and Kalim are fighting for the third place, and Leona is the fourth.

Are the students or teachers aware of Crewel having a thing with Trein?

I feel like the students are too preoccupied with their own drama, although those who are attentive enough might notice that something is going on, but they are usually the type to mind their own business (I’m thinking mostly about the 3rd years).

I’m pretty sure Vargas wouldn’t be able to tell, and with Crowley it’s hard to say; things could happen right under his nose and he wouldn’t notice them, but then again, maybe he does know and we just assume that he’s oblivious.

Sam might know, but he is also the type to mind his own business, unless Crewel decides to throw shade at Trein the next time he visits Sam’s shop to buy some cigarettes.

siushdiuh  our lovely dense grandpa… He has no idea people are still having crushes on him, this naïve old soul 😔

I honestly think that Crewel is a jealous and possessive type. He probably doesn’t care if his sexual partners have fun somewhere else, but it’s because he isn’t really devoted to them either, so to speak, at least in terms of romantic attachment. But if we’re talking about someone he cares about or even obsesses about, he would get super annoyed.

So if there was a student with a thing for Trein, he would be quite petty. Subtle, but petty, so that student would get more attention during classes, get more difficult tests. He might even try to scare the student away openly by talking to him about how he should stay away from a teacher (while fully sounding like it’s petty and personal, and not just common sense)

This honestly makes him sound childish, but I really think that Crewel is kind of childish sometimes lol At least students are easy to scare away; if there was another adult who is serious about approaching Trein, Crewel could get vindictive and even dangerous.

Honestly? That’s much more than I expected lol but I’m glad there are some! We don’t even read fanfics, but still, people should give Crewtrein some love, they’re great
