Bingo Roll 3 - Chaos Chevron Scarf (Pt1)

Ignoring the fact I am also making a chevron scarf in Tunisian crochet for a gift right now, I was super excited to get this roll on my not-so- fancy excel grid and randomizer formula. Usually when I think of chevron, I think of stripes, and I have some palette packs on hand that have been waiting for that perfect project.

Just a few things to figure out: What am I making? How thick and tall do I want the stripes? And, how many colors?

My brain immediately decided scarf, so that's the first question out of the way. It's such a staple accessory, and I am of the opinion you can never have enough scarves.

I'm really enjoying the randomizer that comes from choosing each of these next projects, and I've been wanting to do a project that combines a dice roll with a corresponding color for a long time. With that in mind - why not all of the colors?

The palette pack I have has 10 colors, and I have d10s a plenty with my tabletop stuff. I'm choosing this color scheme with pink leading into red-browns, and light blues darkening into natural greens. I didn't have a project in mind when I bought this from Hobbii (Rainbow Cotton 8/4); I really just wanted to try out the cotton. So this is the perfect opportunity to dive into the pack.

The set will give me 175 yards of each color, so I am finishing out with 1,750 yards of fingering weight cotton to work with here. I won't need that much, and this should be more than enough depending on the dice rolls. I will add one rule for the dice roll - if I've used the color in the previous round, I'll be rolling again. Finally the stitch. Since the pack is already fingering weight - and the label actually is calling it a 1 weight - I feel like hdc will do just fine for balancing color changes. While I like the look of singles in striping, I think it will be too dense with the 1 weight. And honestly, it will take too long. HDC is actually my favorite base stitch too, and it gives some wonderful options for texture. I'm going to do BLO, and follow the instructions for this pattern. I whipped up a sample in the yarn I used for the amigurumi challenge, which is the same yarn as what I have in this palette. If I've done my math right, every 4 rows will be 1.5 inches, so I can expect a 66 inch scarf to be a solid 176 rows. I might take it up to 72 inches. Who knows.

I may not like math, but I LOVE data, so I of course will be keeping track of all my rolls. I'm planning to roll for 10 at a time to really break this project into sections. That'll give me the discipline too for either weaving in as I go, or at least for the every 10. I do not want to get to the end of the project and have 300+ends to weave in. Truly the stuff of nightmares

As a note - I've made up the color names just to keep myself organized.

A reader who is similar age to Susan and is the opposite type of old person, a gentle Grandparent who has old person candies at all times. Most importantly however is the only one who can calm Susan's feral chihuahua energy, only when they need to of course.

They play cribbage on weekends, and definitely both chat about the youngins- maybe playfully feud on which is better Knit or Crochet

Good evening my dear! This is a little shorter then I wanted but I did write it in a hair salon, where at the time of posting I'm still in.

Susan had a neighbor, she lived to the left of her house, while Susan's house was more stale and strict appearing her neighbor's was more soft colors, with gnomes outside and a lovely garden filled with all types of hell's flora,

You'd think the two would be at odds but they got along well, going out for tea each day, on weekends they'd go to bingo or play a game of cribbage, although they did get into tiffs about what was better between crochet and knitting, like how crochet is easier for some to pick up with the sole hook, or how knitting uses less yarn then crochet, They were dear friends, and this is some tidbits with them.

You and Susan had opposing aesthetics but that didn't stop the two of you from matching outfits in some way or another, she wore her usual pinkish dress? You were two feet away from her in more brighter attire.

"Kids these days are getting more and more foolish each day, fucking crying in the middle of the streets!"

Susan said, sat on a bench looking across the street at some poor cannibal gal sobbing as her dearest assumingly ended things

When you didn't respond she looked over at you only to see that you were gone,

"Where the hell- [Name]!"

You had dashed over to the gal, swatting at her former lover with your handfan, scolding him for breaking things off in the middle of the streets inside of somewhere private or inside a restaurant as the girl sobbed into your arms,

"Shh, it's alright you deserve better, someone with manners!"

You said patting her back, glaring at the unmannered former lover while Susan groaned from her seat, you just had to butt into other people's business didn't you!

Like she didn't do the same at times.

......

"You uncultured, red-40 looking, bad dental hygiene, modern technology radio man!"

Susan raised her cane to the Radio Deer man, you had just entered Rosie's Emporium for a snack,

"Susan! No! That is terribly rude!"

You shouted dashing over quickly before Susan could do anything, pushing down her cane, while apologizing,

"My apologies! I'll escort her out, here buy yourself something tasty"

You said taking the radio demons hand and placing some money and a few pieces of candy into it before linking an arm with Susan and taking her outside while scolding her as she grumbled, leaving the Radio demon lowkey stunned and missing his mother.

You were how he imagined she would've been if she lived to be elderly.

.....

"For fuck's sake! Why are you in my house?"

Susan shouted as she walked into her kitchen only to see you adorned in an old lady apron chopping away at some vegetables while some type of meat simmered on the stove,

"Making us lunch obviously! I have news about that lovely gal we met on the street a few months ago! She's going steady with my nephew, the one with the good job not the one that's married, and I must tell you what her scandalous ex lover had to say-"

You rambled on, mixing up slang from different decades Susan could care less about the gal who was sobbing on the streets but you seemed to hellbent on telling her about the 'tea' as you called it.

"Susie, let's listen to what the princess has to say before booing her off the stage, this is why she called you an old bitch''

You said linking an arm with Susan before shouting over at Charlie as Rosie pulled her aside,

"My apologies!"

You chased down Charlie at a later date to give her some candies for her troubles with Susan,

You paid visits to the hotel after that, bringing treats for the residents.

....

"Knitting is superior, it uses less yarn then your hook, knitting takes far more skill and that little crochet thing seems easier.''

Susan said knitting a scarf as you sat across from her, crocheting a net.

"Susie, you are my dearest friend and I love you, But I can and will surplex you into a wall if you say that again."

Hearing that while you wore the sweetest smile would strike fear into the average sinner.

"Are we thinking barbecue? Grilled? Perhaps baked? Oo I recently picked up some new seasonings we could try!"

You shouted over to Susan as you threw a net at an exorcist pulling them down and stabbing them with an angelic weapon before discarding them to the side to harvest their wings later,

"I don't give a donkeys ass as long as they taste good!"

"Susie?"

"Hm?"

"I'm dying again."

"Don't be dramatic!''

She smacked you gently on the head with her cane as you broke out in laughter, angel wing in your hand and gold around your mouth.

(Explanations of what each event is is under the cut along with some of my ramblings)

This is for the main thing. In the theoretical Discord I'm currently making I feel like a lot of things can be done as little mini events along the way if anyone would want to do that. That way, aside from whatever the main event is, we can still do other stuff throughout the year. A lot of this is just ideas I'm throwing out into the wild so to speak and to see what interests everyone.

I also kinda want there to be something laid back too because I know that fandom, the craft community, and the disabled community all intersect big time so yeah. Feel free to yell at me from the tags I want to see everyone's input/ideas!

A week long event: I feel like this is too quick because these things takes a lot of time, but in the theoretical Discord I'm currently making we can do little weekly prompts/challenges if it interests anybody.

Nanowrimo: This is a month long thing where everyone has a 50k novel to work on and you work on it everyday for a month. Similarly can be done with crafts/fiber arts/textiles where everyone picks a project and we each have a goal to meet each day

A select few months: Ex. June-August,

Gift exchange: Again another one of my theoretical ideas, might be difficult, sounds pretty fun, maybe could be used for a holiday event thing?

Draw/Write in your own style: This is when everyone creates someone off of the same prompt/image, but I'm this case it's probably be the same Base pattern.

Bang Event: Two or more people of different or the same mediums (a crocheter, a pattern maker, a knitter etc) pair up and make whatever based off of each other's work.

Round Robin/Telephone: For those who don't know, a Round Robin is when you pass along a fanfic from one person to another and you all start where the last person left off. Telephone is very similar but like in telephone only the first person who starts the project has and knows the pattern while everyone else doesn't. Again with this it may be hard and require a lot of planning but it's worth the mention.

Teams/Game type event: So teams event if when people are put into teams (team blue or team [specific fandom name]) and you just create as much as possible for whatever theme the group picks. Now Game type events (I actually haven't seen any of these in recent year) is when you do the same thing but each round everyone votes and gives points to each other and who ever has the most at the end wins.

Bingo: A bingo card filled usually with different prompts/challenges that can be customized or just picked at random

Masquerade/Guess The Maker: Everyone has a concealed Identity and everyone else has to guess who made what.

ONE YEAR

In which, Harry and Y/N celebrate their 1st year of being married.

Y/N and Harry have been looking forward to celebrating their first year of marriage for months. As the day finally arrives, Harry wakes Y/N up with lots of kisses and cuddles, not wanting to let her out of bed. Y/N giggles and playfully pushes him away, but Harry only holds her tighter, declaring his love for her.

Harry and Y/N have always cherished their moments of cuddling in bed, especially on lazy mornings. Today is no exception as they lay intertwined, enjoying each other's warmth and love. Harry is particularly clingy today and refuses to let Y/N out of the bed, much to her amusement.

Y/N playfully nudges Harry, telling him that they need to get up and start their day, but he only pulls her in closer, showering her with gentle kisses. "I can't help it," Harry confesses, "you're just so warm and snuggly. I don't want to let you go." Y/N can't help but giggle at Harry's antics, feeling grateful for the love and affection he shows her every day.

As they lay there in each other's arms, they start talking about their plans for the day. Harry suggests going for a walk in the park, while Y/N suggests staying in and watching their favorite movies. They both agree that any activity they do together is special and enjoyable, as long as they're together.

As they talk, they exchange tender touches and gentle caresses, feeling the love and warmth between them. Y/N tells Harry how much she loves waking up to him every morning, how he's her everything and how grateful she is to have him as her husband. Harry reciprocates, telling her that she's his world, his sunshine, and that he can't imagine his life without her.

They both agree that they're each other's best friend, and that their love and friendship is what keeps their marriage strong. They talk about how they make each other better, how they support each other's dreams, and how they've grown together in the time they've been together.

As they lay there, lost in their own world of love and affection, they start to feel the hunger pangs. Harry, being the romantic that he is, suggests making breakfast in bed, complete with freshly squeezed orange juice, warm croissants, and a variety of fruits. Y/N can't help but feel touched by Harry's efforts to make the morning special and memorable.

As they enjoy their breakfast in bed, they talk about everything and anything. Y/N even went and filled him in on the gossip at the Conservative Club her grandmother went to, and how she caught old Lindy cheating at Bingo.

As they finish their breakfast, they both know that the day is just beginning, but they're both content to stay in bed a little while longer, cuddled up in each other's arms. They both know that no matter what the day brings, they have each other, and that's all that matters. As they lay there, lost in their own world of love and affection, they both know that this moment is special, one they will cherish forever. They know that their love will only grow stronger with time, and that they will always be there for each other, no matter what life throws their way.

They finally get out of bed to get ready for the day, all while laughing and chatting about something that happened at Harry’s work the other day. Which is when Harry surprises Y/N with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, which she accepts with a big smile and a twinkle of love in her eyes, feeling grateful and loved.

After getting ready, they exchange heartfelt anniversary gifts. Y/N presents Harry with a watch he's been eyeing for months and a little teddy bear that he can take with him on tour to hug when he's missing her, while Harry gifts her a stunning necklace that matches her wedding ring and a crochet love heart that he learnt to make for her with their initials in the middle. They both marvel at how they always seem to know each other's desires and are always able to surprise each other.

The rest of the morning is spent relaxing at home, reminiscing about their wedding day and how far they've come. Y/N and Harry talk about their favorite moments of the past year, the highs and the lows, and how grateful they are to have each other to lean on.

As the afternoon approaches, they get ready for a special anniversary dinner at their favorite restaurant. Y/N spends hours getting ready, carefully choosing her dress and doing her hair and makeup. Harry, meanwhile, can't take his eyes off her, admiring how beautiful she looks.

When they arrive at the restaurant, they're greeted with a warm welcome from the staff, who have prepared a special table for them with candles and rose petals. As they sit down to eat, they're presented with a customized menu and a bottle of their favorite wine.

As they enjoy their meal, they reminisce about their first date, laughing at the funny moments and sharing how they both felt nervous but excited at the same time. Harry admits that he had been practicing what to say to her all day, while Y/N confesses that she couldn't stop thinking about him all week leading up to their first date.

They talk about their dreams for the future, including starting a family and traveling to different parts of the world. They both agree that as long as they have each other, they can take on anything that comes their way.

by the way, all the popular posts on here encouraging people to support their library are awesome, but I wonder if people know that since the pandemic circulation numbers and program attendance have fallen dramatically at libraries. I can't speak for every library of course, but as a library employee, pretty much every library in my area has faced record breakingly low statistics since 2020. Please go to your library, check out books, attend a program. Many libraries are still offering virtual programs if you don't want to go out, and there are passive programs too where libraries have themed bingo sheets and whatnot to fill out and return for a prize. One of our programs is a take and make. You just come in and pick up a craft kit and make a craft in the comfort of your own home. Libraries carry more than just literature. My library system has:

sewing books, many of which come with patterns (just don't cut them out though, use tracing paper or a projector, so that future patrons can use the pattern)

a seed library

DVDs including for tv shows and streaming content

roku sticks that give you free access to streaming services for three weeks

language books, with worksheets to practice grammar exercises

craft books with knitting and crochet patterns

maker/hobby kits for activities like bird watching, stop motion animation, arduino, power tools, disc golf, a telescope

a makerspace with an embroidery machine, 3D printers, laser engravers, art software, and a lot more

nature books for identifying local fungi, wildflowers, insects, birds, etc

wifi hotspots

there's a lot I can't fit on here, but generally, if you want to support your local library, the best thing you can do for it is use it, especially right now

PATREON March Pattern Poll Options

This month's poll options are based on the Hisui starters and Pokemon similar to the new gen 9! I haven't yet crocheted the Pokemon marked with an asterisk*, but will if their group is chosen. This poll will run through Saturday, March 26 and the winning patterns released by March 31.

Journeys in Amigurumi (Bingo Roll 1)

Spoiler: This was a challenge!

For my first roll of the bingo card, I got "make an amigurumi" - and as someone who is most comfortable with flat 2D projects with little sewing, I knew this one would really be taking me out of my comfort zone. I'm not happy when I have to sew, and I am incredibly not happy when I have to attempt embroidery.

I may not do a full blog post for each bingo roll, but as this is so completely new to me and a large part of this bingo is the journey, here we go!

For full disclosure, I've made ONE amigurumi project before this, and I haven't picked up the technique once since. So before we dive in - have a quick picture of where I started 12 years ago.

I had to dig some really old photo archives for this one.

This lil' guy was made to be a warbler for my fandom at the time. I am sure he was based off a pattern, but it's unlikely I'll be able to find it now. I also don't think I know where this lil birb is anymore; he's gotten lost in the shuffle of moving a few times since.

Step 1: Research

Research - Before even choosing a pattern to begin this challenge, I wanted to first understand more about amigurumi, so I took to Youtube, which is my usual place to learn all things.

For my intro to amigurumi, I started with a few channels:

LePetitSaint Crochet, especially this Amigurumi fundamentals playlist; olliehollycrochet, especially this beginner tutorial video; For inspiration, I've also found Skein Spider

There are quite a few amigurumi channels out there - these are just a few that I enjoyed across my youtube dashboard.

The next step of research was finding a pattern, and I feel as though this is the part of the rabbit hole I am going to ADORE continuing to explore.

Step 2: Practice

Before I started "the" project, I wanted to first get a sense of the tension and play around with a project. Just something small. In effort to avoid buying more materials, I took to stash busting some of my scrap cotton. For the test piece, I found the pattern Octobuddy by the blog, Sweet Softies.

As someone with already pretty tight tension, working with a smaller hook took some getting used to, but I liked the way this pattern was written - he's an adorable little Octopus, but it also helped me get used to the shaping and stuffing process. I used household cotton balls since poly-fil isn't the type of thing I just have on hand. I did end up buying some for the final project.

This was a good exercise for me, as I started to feel comfortable with the actual crochet and using a tighter gauge. As I was sewing the eyes, I ended up pulling the cotton up or not being able to push the needle through. He was a bit overstuffed, or maybe I tried to assemble out of order, or maybe it's just my lack of sewing experience striking again.

Beyond that, the hardest part was in fact the the embroidery of the eyes, and his are quite... something. I was not originally going for the wink, but as the two sides became less uniform, I decided to lean into it. They still turned out pretty shoddy, and I can NOT stand doing this. I told myself never again, but for another spoiler... I did it again.

My Octobuddy might still be a bit overstuffed, but he's super squishy and relaxing to squeeze, just like a stress ball, the perfect size for my palm. So he's been hanging with me at my work desk.

Step 3: Do the thing

I won't say I was ready for the next thing, per se, but I also wasn't getting anywhere just looking at the cool things that could be made with this technique. So why not jump right in?

For my actual pattern selection, I chose "Hubble" by Projectarian, available on ravelry. I love me an aquatic creature, and it called to me that not only was this pattern free, it also came with a beginner friendly pdf, quick reference, and an entire selection of written tips for the new-to-amigurumi crafter.

Squid time!

Again, I wanted to use up scraps, so my first challenge with this pattern was adjusting it for the yarn weight I had on hand to use. As a result, the eyes were made with a way too tight tension. The pattern called for some crochet for the sleeping pupil lines, but there was no way I was going to get my hook in there. For the second time, I took up a sewing needle and attempted embroidery. This time turned out a bit better than the Octopus. I adore how soft he looks with the brown cotton yarn I decided to use when I couldn't find black.

At some point in attaching the legs and tentacles, I did lose track of where I was - but that was on me since I got lazy with the stitch markers. It was so close to the end, I was able to wing it to decrease the final row and stitch up the center. Before then, I added a bit more poly-fil.

I chose not to add pom-poms at the end of the legs for the same reason as I didn't add tassels to the blanket I made. Being a mom of three dogs makes you super aware of the types of things the furbabies will get into. You should've seen their faces when I brought home the poly-fil.

But I'm ranting away and you haven't even seen him yet!!

Step 4: Finished Object!

Rules and Schedule

Howlies, Assemble! If you were looking for the rules and schedule for Stucky Bingo, you’re in the right place!

Rules:

OUR NUMBER ONE RULE: BE RESPECTFUL!

Our aim is for this bingo to be as inclusive as possible, and we will not tolerate participants disrespecting one another. Discrimination and hate speech are not acceptable under any circumstances, and anyone found to be acting in this way will be banned from this and all future rounds of the bingo.

You can cross off one square per fill (artwork, single chapter, crochet project, poem, fanvid, etc). Fill requirements are as follows:

You can collaborate on a bingo entry, as long as each collaborator meets the minimum requirements (if you have two co-writers your work must be a minimum of 600 words, two co-writers and a digital artist must write at least 600 words and have a piece of art at least 300x300 pixels, five co-writers must produce a minimum of 1.5k, etc). Synopsis: When you overexert yourself on a mission with Steve and Bucky, the boys admit to having fantasies that involve you.  Fantasies that you share.  But with one Super Soldier needs intimacy and the other is still dealing with being touch starved, exploring those desires without anyone catching feelings is a little tricky.

Chapter 5: Lying in Wait

You knocked on the door to the apartment that Steve and Bucky shared.  They'd asked you around for dinner, which meant dinner and experimenting with their sexuality, and you were more than a little excited.  The dice game had gone over really well and for a couple of days after they would each come and tell you about what parts they liked the most.  You knew that they’d want to take it further and try more things.  Especially given Steve hadn’t technically gone ‘all the way’ with you.

You were very excited too.  This whole thing had not at all been what you’d expected.  The whole idea of a down and dirty three-way that was all about sex and just getting that release at the hands of the two super soldiers was definitely one that you’d visited alone a lot of times.  Somehow this was even better.  Steve and Bucky were such good friends, and this arrangement you’d come to was both exciting and safe all at once.  They might be finding out more about themselves, but this was your opportunity to find out more about yourself too.

Steve answered and greeted you with a kiss on the cheek.  It was funny really, you’d seen him on and off all day, but that was Cap.  Steve was a whole different person in a lot of ways and so even though you’d only seen him half an hour ago, this was the first time you were seeing him all day.  “Come in,” he said as he held the door open for you.

“I bought wine.”  You said holding up the bottle of merlot you’d ‘stolen’ from Tony’s cellar. 

“Trying to get us drunk are you?”  He asked taking it from you.

You chuckled and followed through the apartment to the table.  Their place was a weird mix of old and new.  There was a blue velvet wingback couch sitting next to a black leather recliner that had speakers in the headrest.  An old cabinet style record player sat next to a large flat-screen TV and had a PS4 sitting on top of it.  A set of nesting tables sat in front of the couch and each one was littered with art supplies and Steve’s shield was propped up against the couch.

The walls were decorated with artwork of vintage motorcycles and photos of family and friends.  One entire wall was boxed shelving, and each shell was full of books and vinyls.  There was no clear theme to any of it.  A boxed set of Harry Potter novels sat next to books on military tactics.  The Wizard of Oz series was there in its entirety but each volume was sitting on a different shelf.  The Wizard of Oz was next to a book on guided meditation.  Ozma of Oz was beside some vintage Captain America comic books.

Bucky was in the kitchen cooking.  He had his hair pulled back and a floral apron on.  The kitchen itself was quite modern and clean compared to the living room.  The benchtops were black granite and the fittings were all brushed chrome.  Bucky smiled when he saw you and came over and kissed your cheek.  “Everything is nearly ready.”  He said.

“It smells so good,” you said.  “And you look amazing.”

He pinched your hip and went back to his cooking.  “Steve, did you put your shit away?”

“Yes,” Steve lied, going straight to the coffee tables and bundling up the art supplies.

“That means your shield too,” Bucky said.

“It’s away,” Steve said.  He shoved the drawings and pencils into one of the gaps on the bookshelf before grabbing his shield and shoving it into the hall cupboard.

You chuckled and took down some wine glasses.  “It doesn’t matter how much time has passed, I will never get over the fact that he’s the messy one.”

“He’s always been the messy one,” Bucky said.  “Drives me crazy.”

“Can I help at all?”  You asked as you poured out three glasses.

“There’s a salad in the fridge.  You think you can take it out to the table?”

The table was already partially set.  The plates and silverware were out, as was a loaf of crusty bread.  You took the salad out and by the time you were sitting with Steve and taking your first sip from your wine glass Bucky was bringing out a serving platter piled high with risotto.

“So,” you said, as you all started filling your plates.  “What shall we do tonight?”

“Oh, uh…”  Steve said, almost dropping his fork.  “We thought dinner and if you wanted we could watch a movie…”

“Really?  That’s what you want to do?”  You teased.

“He’s being polite because he doesn’t want you to feel pressured to do anything,” Bucky said.

“Oh, I know.”  You said playfully, putting your hand on Steve’s.

“I just want to make sure you know that your friendship is important to me too,” Steve said, giving your hand a squeeze.  “I don’t want to put the sex above that.”

Bucky smiled and leaned over the table and kissed him.  Not that you could blame him.  You could practically feel your heart swell up.  When Bucky sat back in his chair, Steve looked a little love-struck himself.

“Then we should hang out as friends sometime,” you said as everyone started eating.  “Like we used to.  But I am wearing really expensive lingerie and I’d really like to show you it.”

“And I would definitely like to see it,” Bucky said.

“We were talking about just…”  Steve stopped mid-sentence and froze like he had forgotten the word he was looking for.  “You know… normal.”

You and Bucky looked at each other and bit back laughter.  “Ah yes, normal threesome style, Stevie.  Just the way everyone who has threesomes does it.”

Steve looked at Bucky deadpan.  “You know what I mean.”

“Well, yeah.  I do ‘cause we talked about it before.”  Bucky teased.  “What he means is because part of this is him getting to do some things he hasn’t done before, we’d like to focus on you and it just be…”

“... vanilla guy on girl sex.”  You finished.

“That’s the one,” Bucky said tapping his forehead.

“Gonna run the train,” you said and took a sip of your wine.  “Nice.”

“Is that okay?”  Steve asked.

“More than.”  You said.  “Hey, can I ask you something?”

“Of course, anything,” Steve answered.

“And just to be clear here, I’m talking to Cap.  Not Steve.”  You added.

“Oh,” Steve said, his posture stiffening.  “What is it?” 

“No,” Bucky groaned.  “Don’t invoke the Captain in here.”

“Just for a second.  I promise.”  You said.  “What happens if the others find out about what we’re doing?”

Steve’s jaw tensed and twitched at the corners as he thought.  “I don’t think we should go around bragging about it,” he said.  “But this is our personal business  We aren’t breaking any rules.  If the find out, they find out.”

“Besides, if Tasha doesn’t already suspect, then I don’t think that’s Natasha and we better find out where the real Natasha is,” Bucky added.

You laughed and nodded.  “True.  You know if Tony finds out he’s going to give you hell for it.”

“What’s new?”  Steve said with a small shrug.  “Besides, like he can talk.”

“Also valid.”  You said.  “Alright.  I just wanted to make sure.  I agree.  I don’t want to go telling … well anyone, but like Bucky said, Nat figures this shit out, and I don’t want to be lying to our friends.”

Steve reached over and rubbed your arm.  “I would never ask you to do that.  You aren’t our dirty little secret.  You’re our friend.” 

“God, Steve.  Saying all the right things tonight.  I’m gonna fuck your brains out.”  You said.

“And I’ve got second,” Bucky added, reaching over and taking Steve’s hand.

The three of you finished up dinner and cleaned up together.  Steve had been right.  The three of you needed to nurture the friendship too.  This was how this started after all.

When the kitchen was practically sparkling Steve came up behind Bucky and wrapped his arms around his waist and kissed his neck.  Bucky closed his eyes and hummed softly.  He held out his hand to you and you took it and let him pull you into his arms.

His eyes opened and he blinked slowly, as he gazed down at you.  “Ready, darlin’?”

You smiled up at him as Steve’s arm snaked around you and he pressed his large hand to the middle of your back.  “As I’ll ever be.”

Bucky leaned in and ghosted his lips over yours.  You reached up and tangled your hands in his hair and pulled him into a hungry kiss.  Steve kissed and nipped at Bucky’s throat as the two of you kissed and pulled you a little tighter against Bucky.  You could feel Bucky start to harden against you and you pulled back with a quiet gasp.

“Bedroom?”  He asked.

“Bedroom.”  You agreed and Bucky put an arm around each of you and the three of you made your way down to the bedroom.

The room was painted sage, with gray trim.  The floor to ceiling windows on the far side looked out over the East River and beyond that, Brooklyn.  There were more shelves against one wall, though they mostly held little knick-knacks.  Things like a signed baseball, a Build-a-Bear dressed as Captain America, and model spaceships - the kind you built yourself.  Next to it was an antique drafting table with more art supplies and sketches littering it.  There were framed prints on the one bare wall above the bed, each one held different black and white photographs of the New York skyline over the years.

The bed was a king and had been made.  A crocheted quilt in dark red and white lay folded in half at the foot over the gunmetal quilt.  The bedside table on the left was clean and neat with a digital alarm clock, a dock for a Stark phone a worn copy of Dune.  There was also a basket with condoms and lube, the same as you had set up when they’d come to your place.  You wondered if he’d decided to steal the idea from you.  You couldn’t imagine that they were still using protection like that with each other.  The bedside table on the right was a mess of water bottles, notebooks, dog eared novels, colognes, and random scraps of paper.

You looked around as you unzipped your dress.  Bucky and Steve began to undress too.  “I’ve never seen your room before.”

“So many firsts tonight,” Bucky said playfully.

“Your bed is big enough to fit us three and Thor too.” You said dropping your dress and revealing the black lace push up bra and thong you were wearing.

The two men looked you over like hungry wolves.  “Two super soldiers not enough for you,” Bucky teased, stalking over to you and hooking his arm around your waist.  “You gotta include a god too?”

“Hey, I’ve been single for ages.  Let me have my fantasies.”  You joked, as he pulled you to him and lifted you, carrying you to the bed and dropping you on the mattress.

You lay back and arched your back as both Steve and Bucky crawled up with you.  Both had taken their shirts and shoes off, but while Steve was down to his boxers, Bucky was still in his jeans.  “You’re giving us ours, if you want to share yours with us, we’ll see what we can do.”  Steve rumbled as he kissed your neck and collarbone.  His hand ran down between your breasts and over your stomach, making your skin break out in goosebumps.

Bucky kissed the other side of your neck and tangled his hand in your hair.  “Threesomes are the most common fantasy you know?”  You half moaned.  “And they’re more common to have the older you get.”

“How do you know this stuff?”  Steve asked as he moved his hand to your cunt and he slowly began to palm it.
