first part
Two years.
The last time you saw his smugface was two years ago. Now you were there, dragged before him by some clowns, under the gaze of some of his colleagues. They wondered why one of the neo-formed Cross Guild leaders wanted you there; you weren't angry or anything at all.
Two years ago, your life was simple on that small island, in the garden that reminded you of Eden in your old books. Nothing mattered; your life was easy. He came from time to time and was always busy with his work. The hero of Alabasta is your lover.
Lies, all lies.
You never knew anything; he kept you from knowing everything about that.
Two years ago, the newspaper came, and then you knew. The lies that he told you are his true colors.
Baroque works, the dancing powder, the lives that he had taken...
The horror that engulfed you sickened you to the point that even his face on the newspaper was enough to send a chill down your back.
Then hell came.
You were a civilian, and you tried to explain that to the Marine that had taken you away for a few questions. They said that it was something like a few days, nothing more. You stayed in that somehow prison, near the Marine base, for almost a month, with the same questions and the same dirty looks every day. You were a criminal for them, just like him.
"How long have you known Crocodile?"
"Not so long..."
"How much did you know about his connections with that organization?"
"Nothing, I don't know..."
"Did he ever mention you about his plans?"
"I don't know..."
"Did you know about his activities?"
"I don't know..."
Every day, the same questions were asked, and you were forced to remember the few moments of happiness that you had with that man.
Until that woman came. A captain that was present on the day of the crocodile arrest decided to finally take over your case.
"She's a civilian; the only connection with that criminal was a romantic one. Hina's surprised that you all didn't get it before. Let her go."
When you left that damn place, you had nothing but the few things that you had the day you came. You had nothing—nothing but the grief of his betrayal.
Then something changed. Your grief set aflame, a new one—hate.
You hated him; you hated everything about him—the memories, the moments of kindness, the lies. EVERYTHING.
You sell everything that you have—every detail that could lead you to him. The ring, the earring, the clothes—all of it. You didn't need them; those staff were nothing to you!
With the money that you gained, you were able to start anew, far away from everything.
On an island, away from the memories and your past, you found work in a small flower shop, a small apartment, a small world, and a new future.
Everything there was simple; no one knew you, and no one needed to know. You were a mistery for everyone there, but no one bothered to ask or to pry on. Even the old owner of the shop was content enough to just have you around.
"Ummm...today someone will come to court you again. my dear Y/n..." He said this while rocking in his chair. You almost dropped the watering can for the surprise.
"W-what?! No, no, what are you saying? Hehe, don't mock me!"
"Hehe, are you sure?" He was eyeing the young man who was reaching the shop.
Well, that was true...
In a few weeks, you became one of the most courted girls in the village. Even after your continuous refusals, the confessions made you feel giddy. Despite it all, maybe you wanted that kind of new start.
There was a boy, a little older than you, who never gave up on you. He kept visiting you, asking about yourself, your dreams, your hopes...
A part of you wanted to open up to him. Maybe tell him about everything... Maybe you deserve to love again.
Then they came.
Two strange men looked like some kind of clown. No one knew who they were or where they came from, but they knew you. They take you away, forcing you to follow them on a ship, away from your new life and from your future.
They brought you back to the crocodile.
And now you were there, back to him, in that place full of criminals. The same ones that he hides so well from your mind, not letting you know. All the eyes were on you, but you felt only his eyes. You were too scared to look at him.
"Welcome back, Y/N..."
You said nothing; you stayed there, holding your hand, avoiding his gaze or responding to him.
"You seem well; I'm happy."
"..."
"Those boozes treat you? I hope they didn't manhandle you too much."
"..."
"I tried to find you, but you were gone. Avoid the Marine has been a-"
"I want to go home."
A new silence fell there. Your voice trembled a little, but you held on with enough strength to not fall down on your knees. The ex-warlord looked at you, waiting for something else for you. You said nothing; you didn't need to say anything else.
"This is your home."
"No, I have a work and a new home. I don't need you... It's over."
He inhaled deeply, and his teeth bit the cigar in his mouth to the point of cutting it in half. In a few seconds, his hand was attached to your wrist, dragging you away from the tent and the other members of the guild. You protested all the way to his own private tent, scrambling and punching, trying to get free from his grasp.
He threw you inside, blocking the passage from the outside. The only light came from a few lamps on his desk.
" Over? This is what you think? That is over?"
"I don't think it's over; I know it! I don't care about you! Not anymore!"
"Where's your ring? ...The one that I gave you?"
"...I sold it. I needed money to find a new place. After your...I-I lost everything. I wanted to start again."
Of course, that was almost natural. Everything that was yours was under his name; of course, the Marines would have your house confiscated. You needed to survive—such a clever girl.
If he only knew the feelings of freedom that you felt once you got rid of that small gift.
"You can start here with me."
"No! I said, I want to go home!"
"I AM YOUR HOME, GODDAMMIT!"
His bigger hands grasped your shoulders, squeezing them with force, like you could run away at any second. something that you were considering.
"You're nothing to-"
"You think that you can just walk away like this?! Do you have any idea what happened?! Two years in that prison, not a chance to know anything about you?!"
Then he stopped, and you saw something dark in his eyes. He wasn't angry, not anymore, but he was something else, something scarier.
"Did you find someone else?"
All the strength that you had left in your body, like the oxygen in your lungs, You were scared—no, terrified. You never had anyone else; you were too afraid to be betrayed again, but it wasn't even like you never thought about it. You avoided his gaze, not knowing what to say. All the answers that you could say end in the same way, and you didn't want any of the outcomes.
"Did you?"
"I didn't, but I wanted... I wanted to forget everything and start over."
You were always so easy to read, so he knew that you were telling the truth. He wanted to keep you away from everything that belonged to his normal life, to secure his flower, and to keep you to himself. The final outcome was something that he didn't expect, but he never imagined that, in the end, you would have been one of the victims too.
A long pause, one that scared you. Once you saw a movement from him, you closed his eyes. He sighed deeply; this one hurt him deeply. To believe that he could hit you...he was a rough man, but not to this point, not to you at least.
His calloused hand gently stroked your head, softly touching your cheek, trying to convince you to finally look at him. A gesture so in contrast with his entire being, so gentle and delicate, away from prying eyes. Something that only you should know. You opened your eyes, full of fears and tears, ready to spill.
"You belong by my side... You weren't supposed to know anything."
He took away one of his rings from his hand, a deep red ruby gemstone, gently placing it on your forefinger. It was larger compared to you...
"This time we'll make it right... No one will take you away again."
He gently held your figure, too scared to fight him. His perfume brought back all the memories that you tried to erase with every fiber of your mind.
This time, he would have to make sure that no one took away his flower.
"You're mine, got it?"

Older Men
Pairing! Crocodile x Reader
Warnings! Drinking
Crocodile realizes that you need someone older to take care of you, not the boys that you seem to want.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
You fast walk through the tall tents of Buggy Town, arms wrapped tight around yourself and head ducked low so that no one else could see the tears streaming down your face. You'd been rejected again, but the third man in less than three weeks. All you wanted was a little companionship, someone to hold you close at night. To kiss you good morning when you woke up. Was that so wrong to want from someone your own age?
You don't notice how close you've gotten to Crocodile's side of the town until you physically bump into the man himself. You grunt when you lose your balance, and you brace for a fall that never happens. Instead, you feel warm sand supporting your back and upper arms, gently setting you back on your feet, and dangerously close to the ex warlord.
“Pretty things like you should watch where they are going,” Crocodile grouches lowly, and you look up at him through wet lashes.
“Sorry, sir. I'll be more careful,” you murmur, and fresh tears spout up at the reprimand. Now look at what you've done. Gone and pissed off one of the leaders of the Cross Guild.
Crocodile looks down at you, looking rather unimpressed with the thick cigar clenched between his teeth. He recognizes you and has seen your walk of shame back to his side of town each time your little date didn't go as planned. He didn't understand why you would want to waste your time on pip squeaks like them when he has been here this whole time.
The devil fruit user comes to the conclusion quickly and spins on his heel, “Come with me.”
You blink at his retreating back and jump to follow after him when he glances over his shoulder with an expectant look. You follow him to the edge of the town, and he steps to the side to allow you inside his personal tent first. You're just a little nervous being in here. You've known Crocodile for a while, after all.
He breezes past you, stopping at his desk to pour two glasses of dark liquor. He pushes one glass to the edge, an obvious offer that you are hesitant to accept. However, it's never a wise choice to not accept anything that the towering man offered.
The liquor burns as it goes down, but you find yourself relaxing because of it. You watch as Crocodile hums in satisfaction and sits back in his chair, mouth going a bit dry at the way he spreads his legs and rests his dangerous hook on his thigh.
“Why do you bother with those boys?”
You jump at the unexpected timbre and whip around to give him a look of confusion. He scowls at you, rolling his purple eyes skyward.
“Don't play ignorant. I've watched you each time you come crying back home. Why do you keep trying with them?”
You sink into yourself a little. You don't understand why it matters to Crocodile, but you couldn't not answer your boss.
“I um. I should be with someone my own age, right?” You say carefully. You've never really thought too much about the why of it.
“ku- ha ha, Who told you that?” He demands and his voice drips with condescension, clearly thinking you an idiot. You blush and embarrassed tears well up.
“No one? I just thought that's how it's supposed to go.”
Crocodile lets out a soft hmm, and then sets his now empty glass away. He eyes you, looking all cute and pathetic.
“Come here, Doll,” he murmurs and pats his lap, “Those boys out there will never know how to treat a beautiful woman. You need someone to take charge, someone who knows what they're doing. Someone a little older.”
Your face feels like it's on fire, but you can't help but hang on to every word that the gator says, his tone soft and beckoning. You step closer, clearly nervous, but Crocodile makes your decision for you when the ground under your feet becomes less stable and you fall forward, catching yourself on his broad shoulders.
Crocodile rumbles another laugh and tugs you into his lap properly, tucking you close to his chest. His hand finds your face, and the ex warlord is gentle in the way that he wipes your spilled tears away. His eyes soften, and you look on in wonder as he leans in and presses his lips to the top of your head.
“You've got me now, _, so don't think for a second that I'll send you away.”

shanks:
“Ready, sweetheart?”
You blushed, nodding as you tried to ignore the cheers and whoops that erupted from the rest of the crew on board.
Shanks shot a look over his shoulder and you were rewarded with immediate silence.
He placed a hand on the small of your back and gently guided you alongside him onto the island.
“Use protection!” someone called out. Definitely Yasopp.
“Ignore ‘em,” Shanks said.
“So you don’t wanna use protection?”
Shanks shot you a look, surprised at your quip, “No! Yes! I mean- well, no… We don’t have to y’know- Whatever you want to do ....”
“Very smooth, Captain.”
He laughed, bringing you toward him, and placed a rough kiss on the top of your head.
“Ya make me nervous, what can I say?”
Your chest contracted at this confession. You felt an embarrassing amount of pride watching him rendered so uncharacteristically bashful from your words.
You slipped your hand into his, giving him a soft squeeze, “Just cause this is a date doesn’t mean anything changes between us.”
“Well, we might kiss. And according to you we might fu-”
“Shanks.”
He laughed, louder this time, “Sorry, sorry. I think you’ll like where I’m taking you.”
There was a cool breeze making its way over both of you, giving you temporary reprieve from the summertime warmth the city was buzzing with. Overgrown trees and flower bushes poured into the lamp-lit streets.
You talked with each other, never a dull moment between the two of you, as you walked toward wherever Shanks was planning on taking you.
By the time you stopped walking, you’d made it to a much more empty part of town.
Shanks pointed to a sign on the corner, ‘Happy Hour 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.’
“A bar,” you mused, playfully rolling your eyes at him, “How surprising.”
He smiled and tugged at the strap of your dress, “Tsk, tsk. So impatient.”
He led you into the dinghy building, the wooden door damaged from what you imagined was years of drunk patrons spilling their drinks over themselves and their surroundings.  The inside was dusty and it looked as though no one had used it for years.
“Your usual, honey?” Shanks asked, approaching the bar.
“Please.”
He smiled at you, “Yes, captain.”
God, he was handsome.
You watched Shanks ordering your drinks from where you stood, looking at his face through the mirror behind the bartender. You pressed your thighs together as a familiar pulsing sensation began coursing through your lower half. You accepted long before this date that it was beyond your control- he was just so handsome. He ran a hand through his hair, winking at you in the mirror. You blew him a kiss and though you couldn’t be sure in the dim light a pale blush seemed to spread over his features.
“One martini please, with three olives. And a Gin and Glamour.”
You shot him a look, Gin? You?
“Follow me this way,” the bartender said.
A smirk settled onto your captain’s face and he beckoned you toward him.
The bartender opened a tall door that seemed to lead to darkness.
“Enjoy,” he said. Curiosity had completely taken over and you led the way through the dark hallway, the faint sound of a bass being plucked echoing through, until you reached the end which was covered with a thick velvet curtain.
You pushed through, Shanks’ hand once again finding itself on your back, though much lower this time.
Soft, warm light lit up the room. Your eyes immediately jumped to the jazz band in the center illuminated by a red light. “… and in July, a lemonade, to cool you…,” the singer was halfway through "I Wish You Love". There were booths stationed around, with dark mahogany tables and wine-red velvet couches. Several other couples were spread through the bar, the soft buzz of background conversation filling the room.
“Shanks,” you gasped.
“You didn’t really think I’d take you to a shitty bar for our first date did ‘ja?”
“I’m going to choose not to answer,” you smiled, taking his hand in yours. For a split second your attention was taken away from the room you were in and you could only focus on the feeling of your hand in his- his strength apparent even without him trying.
“Must suck having to be the guy up front, huh?”
You giggled and pulled him toward an empty booth with a good view of the band, “I’ll say. Though I would like that martini.”
“How ‘bout you go sit and I’ll grab it for you, sweetheart,” he said, gently patting your ass as you turned.
With your drinks in hand, Shanks sat next to you, pulling you in closer to him. “Looks like we’re the only new couple in here,” he whispered in your ear, gesturing over toward a couple in the middle of a heated makeout session. You smiled at him, your eyes glimmering with mischief, “Hm, wanna try blending in?”
Shanks smiled, catching on to your request. You sipped your martini and bit an olive off of the toothpick that rested in the glass.
“We’ve kissed before, y’know.”
“We have!? I think I’d remember if we had,” he returned.
“No, no, we did,” you said, and he gave you a look that begged you to elaborate, “It was a few months back- when we did that stupid drinking contest. We were both pretty drunk, but I’d drank a lot less than you. Anyways, um, everyone had gone to bed or, I dunno, gone to find something else to do and we were left alone on deck. Unsupervised.”
You wiggled your eyebrows at him earning a laugh.
“I don’t remember it well, but I remember we laughed after. A lot.”
Shanks was smiling, resting his head on his hand as he gazed up on you. You averted your gaze.
He moved quickly and by the time you realized what was happening you were already sinking into the kiss, bringing a hand up to grab the collar of his shirt, anything to stabilize yourself.
Your heart was crawling up your throat, Shanks’ eyes were closed tight and he was clearly trying to savor every moment of the indulgent feeling of your lips against his. It warmed your heart that a man so feared on the open sea was reduced to a gentle, eager mess the moment he kissed you.
You leaned further into him and his arms wrapped around your waist, his hands palming at your hips. His facial hair tickled and poked your face earning a head-spinning giggle from you. Shanks pulled away, his breaths short and
“I want to tell you how long I’ve been wanting to do that but apparently this isn’t my first time kissing you,” he said, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
The jazz band had started a new tune, longer notes and the steady strum of the bass playing a rendition of Waltz for Debby,  further amplifying the intimacy between the two of you.
“Hopefully you remember this one,” you said smirking at him, “Or do you need a more memorable one?”
“Are you asking to kiss me again? Or do you just want confirmation that you’re a good kisser?”
“I am a good kisser. Better than you, anyway.”
“HA! You don’t even come close!”
“So arrogant, Captain. But I’d love to prove you wrong,” you took another sip of your drink.
Pinching his cheeks between your fingers you pulled him toward you, this time savoring how he tasted. The bitterness of the whiskey on his lips coated your mouth as you slipped your tongue past his. Shanks’ breathing deepened and his fingertips sunk further into your hips- you could feel where you’d find bruises tomorrow morning. You brought a hand up to softly hold his throat and he moaned-
Oh god, he moaned!
You pulled away pupils blown and lips puffy.
Shanks’ cheeks were deep red, a sight that had your ego swelling.
“You know,” he started, breathless, “I think you may be right.”
You smiled and finished the rest of your drink, “Need more evidence?”
He smiled and pressed a kiss to your forehead, running a hand through your hair.
“As a matter of fact, Y/n, I do.”
It was late when you finally found your way back to the ship. Shanks’ face was covered in red blotches of your smeared lipstick and your lips were equally messy. Your dress strap was falling off of your shoulder and Shanks’ shirt was plenty unbuttoned.
“Well,” he said, placing a kiss on the back of your hand, “Now you get to choose.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“My bed or yours?”
You laughed and wrapped your hands around his neck to bring him down for another kiss.
“Yours.”
(whipped!)Crocodile:
“You owe me money, Croc.”
“Let me take you to dinner.”
He reached for your hand, which you let him take.
He pressed his lips to it and started to trail kisses up your arm until you stopped him by pushing him off you and taking a seat on his lap.
“If I go to dinner with you will you give me my money?”
“You’ll get it either way, sweetheart. A job well done is a job well done. I just want to take you out.”
Liar, you thought.
But still, you took a second to think about it, letting him wrap his arms around your waist and rest his head on your shoulder, kissing your collarbone.
You were intoxicating to him, completely overwhelming all of his senses. He knew how unprofessional it was to involve himself with the assassins for hire he dealt with but this was now his eighth time working with you and though you always did a fantastic and clean job, the quality of your work wasn’t really the reason he was hiring you anymore.
“Where would you take me?”
“Desert Point. Or anywhere you wanted, really. I’ll cook for you if you’d like.”
You shifted in his lap, letting your thighs straddle his hips, and looked up at him.
He pulled out a cigar from his breast-pocket, which you quickly snatched from his hand, “I hate the smell.”
He put a hand up in surrender and placed the cigar back in his pocket.
Your eyes were focused on him, looking at his lips and trailing a finger up his neck. Your lips pouted as you considered his offer and the smell of your perfume filling every nook and cranny of his office and still, it wasn’t enough for him. He wanted all of you.
The two of you had, of course, had a handsy encounter or two and you were more than familiar with how he tasted after a long night of office work and whiskey. But, greedy and selfish as ever, the warlord wanted more. He wanted you. In the mornings in his bed, and at night by his side.
“Alright. You can cook for me, I suppose.”
He smiled, not even trying to fight the rare display of happiness.
“Any requests?”
You got up from his lap, batting away his hands which tried to grab you and hold you.
“Don’t burn anything. I’ll bring a bottle of that whiskey you like,” you said heading open the door to his office, “Tomorrow night at 7.”
Crocodile leaned back in his chair, savoring the lingering smell of you that had been making it difficult to concentrate for the past week, and waited until the click on your heels was far enough away to call Miss All Sunday and ask that she, “Please cancel all my appointments tomorrow.”
You knew Crocodile’s apartment well, having paid a few unknown visits and a few known ones. The last time you visited was after Crocodile had begged you to stop by for a glass of wine. You ended up drinking closer to five and neither of you could remember anything the morning after. You did, however, take note of the safe in his office where, if Baroque Works intel was anything to go off of, he kept the cash he used to pay black market hires such as yourself. Tonight would be a perfect opportunity to get your money, which you suspected he had no real intention of giving you.
Dinner had gone well and you found yourself in his office, lounging on his couch.
A jazz record played softly in the background and you’d both taken off a few layers of clothing. The only lighting was provided by a few candles he’d lit and you sat facing each other, each several glasses of wine in.
“Stay here for a while,” he said, softly rubbing up and down your leg which you had draped over his lap, “With me.”
“I have work, Croc.”
“I’ll hire you, full-time.”
“No offense to your…. staff, but their work is a bit beneath me.” He laughed, “Then I’ll fund your stay here. You won’t pay for anything.”
This interested you. Staying a week in the nicest apartment on the continent with Crocodile wasn’t such a terrible deal. You swished your wine around in your cup.
“Will you cook?”
“For you? Of course.”
You stared at him and pretended to pass the thought over as he kissed your neck and palmed at your ass.
“Give me a chance to convince you to stay.”
“How do you plan on doing that?”
A smirk settled on his face and he pulled you in for a kiss.
You indulged him and deepened the kiss, letting your tongue slip past his lips.
You giggled and sunk into his hold on you, his big hands holding you steady.
“I’ll stay, I’ll stay,” you buried your face into his chest, trying to fight the warmth in your cheeks.
The warlord squeezed you even tighter, earning a bout of laughter from you that placed a smile on his face.
“This is bad for your image you know. You’re getting soft,” you mused, pressing a kiss to his lips.
“I promise you I am anything but soft right now.”
“Ha. Ha.”
He wrapped a hand up into your hair, gently pulling back at the base of your neck so he had full access to your neck, and sunk his teeth in biting gently so as not to draw blood but not gently enough to avoid leaving a mark.
Your back arched into him and you mewled at the feeling, your nails digging into his shoulder.
He brought your head back up and kissed you.
You brought your hands up to his collar and began undoing his tie, leaving it hanging on his shoulders.
Slowly and without interrupting the kiss, you began undoing the buttons on his shirt. Crocodile leaned back into the couch to make your job easier and began undoing his belt, which you took from him.
Crocodile went to bring his hands back up to your neck but- they didn’t move.
He looked down and his belt was fastened around his wrists. He tried to tear it but you’d done a damn good job and he was rendered rather helpless.
You got up and, after placing a soft kiss on his forehead, made your way to the safe behind the painting on the wall.
“You said you’d stay!”
Not that it was much of a problem for him but Crocodile preferred when things went over smoothly.
“Did I? Hmmm,” you said, ear to the safe as you turned the dial listening for the telltale click that let you know you unlocked it, “I lied.”
Click!
“And if I make you stay? This makeshift restraint isn’t sea prism stone.”
You laughed and turned to look at him.
“Go ahead.”
He scoffed. You both knew well you were the last person on earth he’d ever harm.
“I’m gonna take my money and then some as a tip, alright? I will miss you though,” you said, making sure his arms were still tied in his lap.
He couldn’t help but smile as you turned back around to the very empty safe.
Your stomach dropped.
“Where is the money-”
“Like I’d keep it here, sweetheart. Especially not with you coming over.”
“You’re a thief. And a dirty one at that.”
“I’d take more offense if it wasn’t coming from you.”
You huffed and turned to his desk where you were quickly opening and closing drawers looking for where he’d moved the money.
“Come and finish your wine, Y/n.”
“It isn’t here, is it? You’re a liar and a thief,”
He stayed silent and gestured toward your spot on the couch, a satisfied smirk settled on his infuriatingly handsome face.
“Crocodile…” you warned, “I think you know better than to not pay me.”
He smiled, as though daring you to continue. Or what? the expression on his face begged.
“Stay the week with me,” he said as you approached, “Please.”
You took your seat next to him and looking down at his hands noted the very significant absence of a belt tied around them. Your heartbeat picked up as he used a hand to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear.
“You’re good, sweetness, but I’m better.”
You sighed and let him kiss you, reluctantly leaning into his touch.
“You’ll stay the week.”
You nodded and were upset at yourself for feeling excited at the thought. You felt like a schoolgirl holding her crush’s hand.
“Shall we go to bed then?”
He smiled and picked you up princess-style, one arm around your waist and one under your knees.
You wrapped your arms around his neck and pressed a kiss on his cheek, “If you keep this game going you’ll end up having to marry me, you know.”
He smiled, his most sincere smile of the night.
“Ah, wouldn’t that be terrible?”

Dating wasn’t the same anymore after you met him…
Even if he was a “bit”…older than the guys you dated around your age. He was mature, calm, and cool as a cucumber.
With an appearance that showed his experience in life. Making him more attractive than he already is.
There was no doubt you needed someone like him. As he gently wipes your tears in his embrace. Taking the weight off of your shoulders.
Who would’ve thought you needed someone older?

- crocodile had just gotten finished with his work, and finally he’d get to spend some quality time with you. As he walked over, getting ready to join you on the couch, he froze.
- his eyes were locked onto your back, his breathing completely stopped, his body stiff as a board
- a tiny black speck on your back was… moving. Could that be a- SPIDER? You turned around because you heard footsteps, and you looked confused to see crocodile just- frozen, with wide, disgusted, fearful eyes as if you just committed some heinous crime against humanity
- “….Crocodile? You ok?”
- …
- “Hello???? Earth to crocodile?”
- “Y/n. You know I love you right?“
- “…What?”
- “Then you know why I must do this.”
- “What do you me- hey where’re you going?!”
- to go bag (he has one prepared for this exact situation bruh 💀) materializes out of thin air, then cue crocodile skedaddling out the door without explaining or warning you like a scared selfish asshole
- “CROCODILE IT’S NOT EVEN THE SIZE OF MY FINGERNAIL.”
- “IT’S AN INSECT Y/N.”
- “SO YOU’D LEAVE ME WITH THE FUCKING BUG SO YOU COULD GET AWAY FIRST-? 😭”
- “..well of course I would’ve sent someone back for you-“
- “SENT SOMEONE?!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- see now ace is afraid of bugs too. But he’s not a selfish asshole like crocodile 💀 bro would at least try and protect you while screaming and sobbing
- you two were relaxing, snuggling together and watching the sun set on the deck of the Moby dick. It always never failed to amaze you with how many colors spread across the sky.
- ace absolutely adored these moments with you. It made him feel so- alive but also dead at the same time. Because how could one be this happy and in love with you?
- he looked down at you, and leaned down to press a kiss to the top of your head, and that’s when he saw… it
- cue the scream of a demon plus a kid who just saw a clown
- “WTF ACE WHAT?!”
- “BABE- DO NOT MOVE. THERE’S A BIGASS BUG ON YOUR HEAD.”
- “EXCUSE ME?!”
- ace grabbed his shoe in a panic, and aimed directly at your head. But since he was so afraid, he was closing his eyes.. as he was swinging to kill the bug.. and he ended up slapping the absolute shit out of you instead of the bug
- “Phew, think I got it- Y/N?! WHAT HAPPENED ARE YOU OK?!”
- “WDYM AM I OK YOU SLAPPED THE SHIT OUT OF ME-“
- “Sorry.. OH SHIT I MISSED-“
- “NONONONO ACE WAIT-“
- you got hit five times before he actually got it. 💀🫶 I hope your brain isn’t damaged 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- luffy was one of those kids who collected beetles and watched them fight each other like it was the most intense battle he’s ever seen 💀
- so of course he’s not afraid of them. Bro likes them so much that he doesn’t know if the one piece is better or if beetles are better 😭
Tumblr media
- luffy was rambling to you about the various different types of beetles, and which ones were the strongest in fights. He was giving you the WHOLE lowdown, their stats, weaknesses, special skills, traits, etc. 💀 you were surprised luffy had this level of knowledge on- anything really
- “Yeah so the atlas beetle can DEFINITELY take down the rhino beetle because of its really tough shell and- OH MY GOD-“
- “Huh-?! What’s wrong?!”
- “OMG OMG Y/N YOU HAVE AN ATLAS BEETLE ON YOUR HEAD!”
- “Luffy you better be joking. Is it even April yet?”
- “Nono it’s right here see?”
- he pulled it off your head and put it in front of your face. The way you froze, and the way your heart stopped, dropped down to your feet, and then climbed back up 😭
- you couldn’t even scream, you just got up and hauled ass away from whatever that abomination of a creature was
- “Y/n where are you going?! I have to show you how it fights!”
- “I’M PERFECTLY FINE NOT SEEING THAT LUFFY-“
- “But y/n they really like you! You’ve got a rhino beetle on your back too!”
- “WHAT?!”
- you legit stopped, dropped, and rolled 💀💀💀 poor robin was watching the whole thing transpire from really far away so she couldn’t hear the context of what the hell was happening 😭
Tumblr media
a/n - bro I missed writing these. I’m a bit rusty tho 😂

no, but like, crocodile letting himself be vulnerable with his s/o.
in different ways, he discreetly shows he can be vulnerable with you and you only.
he’ll shower and take baths with you knowing he’s the weakest when he’s in contact with water.
he removes his hook when he prefers to be gentle with you, even though we all know he can be gentle with it as well. maybe it’s a way to show that you don’t have to be scared. i mean, at this point, he’s so used to people being terrified of him.
he lets you touch his scar, answering your many questions about them loving the curiosity in your gaze while listening. when you gently caress your thumb against the stitches along his cheeks and nose he can feel his heart pump faster.
just thinking about crocodile being cold but so loving at the same time. he can let his guard down whenever he’s with you. that’s what you mean to him. ૮꒰ ྀི >⸝⸝⸝< ྀི꒱ა

Brat, You Belong to Me
(Crocodile x reader: NSFW)
a/n: Hello hello One Piece nation!! I am here with some nsfw Crocodile for yall<3 This is set when he's still a Warlord and in Alabasta just for some context!
cw: Very possessive Croco here. A little usage of his hook, uses the term "pet" (the relationship the reader and him have is more of a toy/item than relationship bro is not nice just hot and possessive), hints of overstimulation, begging, masturbation being watched, umm that should be all. The reader is written gender neutral but with female parts. OH and a Doflamingo appearance!
word count: a tad over 1.4k
Tumblr media
The ride to the World Government headquarters felt longer than ever this time. You often accompanied Crocodile to his Warlord meetings, finding joy knowing it was another place he could show you off. You loved being his accessory, having such a powerful man's attention turned you on like crazy.
However, lately too many things have been stealing that attention away from you. He never disclosed his work to you, and honestly that's not what you cared about. What was bothering was that he was too focused on his work. This past month he has been in meeting after meeting, phone after phone call locked away in his office. The only time he has spent with you was so he could get off, needing to release stress in between meetings, calls, reports, you name it. You knew he wasn't a kind man, but this was the first time he did not take your pleasure into consideration. It was pissing you off to no end. What was so much more appealing than you these days?
You sigh loudly as you lay your head on the large man. You flutter your eyelashes as you look up at him, a frown forming as he does not even bat an eye. He continues reading the newspaper as you move closer to him, ignoring any personal space in the car. You abruptly pull away, laying down on the seats on the limousine as you throw your legs across his. You always made sure to wear something revealing to these meetings, per Crocodile's request. You extend your right leg in the air, skin brushing against the newspaper Crocodile is buried into you.
"Control yourself _______," he mumbled while turning the page of the paper. He still not even glance up to look at you. His response invoked even more rage within you. As you sit up and turn away from him, a plan to get his attention forms in your head.
------
You smile as you enter the meeting room, looking around at the familiar faces. It had been a while since the last Warlord meeting, but you knew exactly who to target to get under Crocodile's skin.
"So nice of you to join us, Gator boy," a tall man smirks as he approaches the two of you. "And your little Birdy joined us as well." He winked as he took your hand into his. "How are you beautiful?"
"Oh you know," you smile up at the man. "Can't complain." You glance at Crocodile as Doflamingo presses a kiss on your hand. Despite Crocodile showing no reaction, you knew how he felt about Doflamingo, especially when it came to him flirting with you. You always obey his rule of not interacting with Doflamingo's moves, but it was time to play dirty.
"Darling, I saved you a seat," Doflamingo escorts you over to the table where the rest of the Warlords sat. You thanked him as you sat in the chair between him and Crocodile. A small smirk formed on your face as you noticed Crocodile's attention was finally on you, even if it was just from the corner of his eye. Keeping up with your plan, you turn to ask Doflamingo a question. As the two of you talked you could feel a strong, piercing set of eyes watching you.
"Fufufufu, finally giving up on the old man huh Birdy?" Doflamingo leans closer into you. "You know my offer never expires," his hand starts trailing down to your exposed thighs.
"I might have to take you up on that Doffy," you giggle. "Ya know, Crocodile has been so busy lately, it's made me-" you were cut off by a hook creating a barrier between you and Doflamingo.
"That's enough," Crocodile huffs. "Both of you." Though he keeps a calm composure, you can sense the anger from his tone. The energy of the entire room shifts. His gold hook graces your skin as he pulls it back to himself, giving you a final glare before turning around.
"Oh? Protective, are we now?" Doflamingo chuckles amusingly. Before he's able to push Crocodile's buttons any further, the individuals who called for the meeting enter the room and begin speaking.
----------
Similar to the ride there, the ride back was silent. However, a winning smirk graced your face as he kept a hand latched on your thigh. His composure was slowly breaking as the ride continued. You impatiently rub your thighs together, causing Crocodile to tighten his grip on you. The car finally pulled into the Rain Dinners casino, and Crocodile dragged you all the way inside into his office. Using his hook, he quickly pushes everything off his desk and throws you onto the desk.
"Is this what you wanted so badly?" he asks, sliding the back of his hook against your clothed sex. You whine, yet he's not amused. "Answer me damn it."
"I-I want you!" you whine, unable to hide any desire. You've been so horny all month and can not take any teasing. His free hand slides your underwear off, then he presses the back of his hook against you again. You cry as the cold gold meets your skin. He gives a disgusted look as he pulls away, wiping the sticky wetness off the hook.
"Show me," he takes a seat down at the desk. "You put on a great show for Domflamingo earlier. Where's mine?"
You whine, but decide not to resist his demands. You quickly move your hand down your body, fingers swirling circles on your clit. Crocodile watches intensely as you get to work on yourself, moans leaving your lips. You could tell he was not going to give you what you needed yet though.
"C-Crocodile," you cry as you slide two fingers inside yourself. A smirk appears on his face as he continues to watch you intensely. You pick up the pace, pumping your fingers in and out of yourself at a quick pace. You continue to squirm on the table, moans crying for Crocodile to touch you and how you need him. Just as you're about to reach your climax, a hand reaches out and forces you to stop. You whine and fight to get out of his grip, but are unsuccessful as your hand is now pinned above your head.
"Such a good pet," he praises as he hovers over you. You swallow as he releases your hand, wrist throbbing from the tight grip. "Well, are you going to get what you've been begging for?" he motions to his harden cock trying to burst from his slacks. "Or should I make you wait even longer?" You eyes widen as you shake your head, causing him to chuckle as you quickly undo his belt and slide his pants off. "That's what I thought." Your legs wrap around his waist as he positions himself, tip barely inside you.
"Please Crocodile!" your impatience past its limit. "Fuck me already!"
"You don't make the demands here," he slams his cock roughly into you. "You got that?"
"Y-yes sir," you choke, tears forming in your eyes from the pleasurable pain.
"That's more like it," he smirks. He moves his hips to fuck you at a steady pace, starting slowly to make sure you feel every second of it. You cry as he pulls himself all the way out, seconds later sliding himself all the way back into you. Crocodile was clearly no small man, and neither was his dick. You still remember the first time he had fucked you, leaving you breathless and bleeding. You were sure you were bleeding again as it felt like he was ripping your inside apart with every thrust. This is exactly what you wanted. After a full month of being deprived your mind and body were ecstatic from finally receiving pleasure. It was all so overwhelmingly pleasuring, pushing you to your climax quicker than usual. Crocodile began thrusting faster and faster as you claw at his back. You know he will be mad if you ruin the silk button down he's still wearing, but you don't care. In this moment all you can focus on is your own pleasure.
"C-Crocodile," you moan as you tighten around him, causing him to let out a low growl. "I-I....Crocodile!!" you scream his name as the pleasure takes over you, vision going fuzzy as you reach your climax. You continues fucking you through it which causes you to squirm and cry out more.
You pant as you come down from the high of it all, sweat sliding down your face. You wince as Crocodile does not stop nor slow down. You reach out to put a hand on his chest, sweaty hands gripping his shirt.
"You're a fool if you think that's all," an evil smirk spreads across his face, eyes deeply looking into yours. "I'm going to make sure you never question who you belong to again."

Hi! Since I saw you did this with the strawhats may I ask you how do you think Smoker & Crocodile (separately) would behave around their significant other who’s a LOT shorter than them? (They’re pretty tall it’s kinda obvious their partner is shorter, so I imagine a big height gap!)
Thank you so much for your time! 🤍
Thank you for requesting and so sorry this is late!
One piece Masterlist
With a short s/o
Sir Crocodile
Tumblr media
He honestly thought you were a child of some sorts when y’all met
He’s a lot more gentle with you since he’s a bit afraid he might use to much strength and hurt you
He’ll tease you by giving you a smirk each time you ask him for help reaching something
Whenever you guys walk together, you often get left behind since he takes such large steps
Sometimes you do it on purpose sometimes not
Either way you’ll still get carried by him
He loves it whenever your trying to get his attention by clinging onto his leg or jacket while he’s pretending not to notice you
Something funny I can imagine with him, since he has a bad reputation and he often shows a little pda here and there
You guys often get mistaken as his child or someone much much younger at least while your next to him
So whenever you guys kiss or something you might get some dirty looks/comments
Crocodile finds it annoying and is considering letting everyone know you guys are dating it’s pretty well known he’s most likely to keep y’all’s relationship a secret
You, on the other hand, find it hilarious and each time it happens you give your most innocent look to ‘confirm’ their suspicion
Overall your height won’t really get in the way of y’all’s relationship other then the teasing
Smoker
Tumblr media
Like crocodile, he’s way more gentle with you
He won’t tease you much other then putting a couple stuff in places higher here and there
He just loves how shy/embarrassed you get whenever you ask him for help
Gets flustered bit quickly hides it whenever you randomly cling onto him so you don’t fall behind
Whenever you guys fight, let’s assume your a marine you often use him/his back as a boost to get the high ground
He was surprised the first time you did it, but he’ll eventually get used to it and even encourage it when he sees it works a lot
He doesn’t show much pda so instead of the crocodile situation..
The G-5 marines would’ve thought you were a random child sneaking up on smoker if not for your vice admiral cape you wore on your back
They know better then to tease THE commander smoker though..

Sorry for any spelling mistakes ! Lol hope you enjoyed<3!

I love how you write mihawk with a child, but mihawk in general! But curiosity kills the cat, n I'd love to see how reader interacts with crocodile and buggy more too :0?
A/N: Here we go, absolutely love how this one turned out; Buggy is not in this one because no matter how much I think of, there is just no scenario where Buggy would be with Reader!Dracule, not because of Buggy but because there is absolutely no way Mihawk would ever leave their child with Buggy or even allow Reader to be with him without, you know, getting a Buggy-ka-bob.

Crocodile sat behind his desk, the usual pile of paperwork piled on his desk as he went through the bounties until he heard knocking coming from the door.
“Come in,” he grunts out.
The child slowly pushes the door open, quickly noticing the absence of their father in the room.
Crocodile looks up from his paperwork just in time to see the child entering the room. He stares at the child before turning back to the papers and speaking to them without looking up.
“Your father is on a mission for now; he will return within the next 2 days. Now say what you want”. Crocodile’s voice is sharp, his attention more focused on working than the child.
The child stays quiet, fidgeting.
Crocodile glances up from the papers to see the child still standing there, seeming to have something in their mind.
“…and?” Crocodile asks in a low, grumbling voice, expecting the child to speak
They kicked at the ground.
“The noises woke me up,” they said, referring to the carnival-like chaos Buggy had been orchestrating outside
“How troublesome,” Crocodile grunts and flexes his finger repeatedly in a ‘come here’ motion
Reader hesitates for a second but eventually runs over to him
Crocodile grabs Reader gently and places them onto his lap, just as Mihawk had yesterday.
Crocodile’s grip was soft, reminding them of Mihawk’s calm but still firm handling.
He continues calmly.
“Now. Tell me, how was Buggy being “noisy”?”
Reader shrugs
“I think he was doing a circus.”
Crocodile stares in pure disbelief and sighs, his eyes narrow as he shakes his head at the explanation.
“Are you sure you didn’t just dream it? I will turn him to crumbles,” he sneers.
“Dad says that if he’s ever in my dreams, they are nightmares.”
Crocodile remains quiet for a moment; a small smirk of amusement escapes his lips. His grip tightens a bit, and the child suddenly feels the strong pulse of his heartbeat. Crocodile’s attention returns to the child
“It’s a nightmare keeping him alive, that’s for sure.”
Reader leans back into him, fidgeting with their hands.
He hums, seeing the child becoming fidgety.
Reader squeaks as they suddenly find themselves in the air suspended by Crocodile’s sands As it threw and played around with them
Reader squeals joyously at the airborne sensation.
Crocodile raises an eyebrow as he sees the child enjoying the sensation. He continues to manipulate them by the sand and move them in circles.
Crocodile’s sand seems like it has a mind of its own as it swirls around the child, picking them up from all directions in sync without hurting them.
He chuckled, returning his attention to the stack of papers before him.
“I thought you were mean, but I really like you, Uncle Crocodile!”
Crocodile continues manipulating the sand around the child, lifting them up and pulling them back down before they even realize it. The child’s excitement is quite evident on their face, and Crocodile cannot help but chuckle.
“Do you?” he asks in a low tone. The child nods their head rapidly, causing Crocodile to chuckle again. He lifts his hand, making another “come here” motion, causing the sand to wrap around the child as he brings them level to his face.
“Why do you find me amusing?”
“Because Uncle Crocodile didn’t turn me away and reminds me of Dad. Both have a scary, grumpy face, but they care for me!”
Crocodile remains silent for a few seconds, his eyes narrowing as he thinks about what the child said. It’s rare for him to get compliments; his reaction to it is usually indifference, but somehow, this time, he doesn’t seem like he’s annoyed, nor is he trying to shrug off the comment.
He stares at the child for a few moments before finally answering.
“…Then you are welcome to see me more often.”
“Yay! So can I call you Cruncle?”
“Don’t push It, brat,” he says, manipulating the sand, turning the reader upside down, listening to their gleeful giggles as he swings them.
Tumblr media
The cruncle nickname was a really funny reply that @littleleelee posted in response to my Uncle Crocodile idea!

THIRSTY: CROCODILE x Y/N
for @leakyweep
(cw: piv sex, food mention, reader is a casino dealer, cigar mention)
(a/n: he’s such a stud)
Songs: “Goody Bag” by Still Woozy
words: 652
****
Someone is playing violin.
Crocodile sits across from you in the small, intimate private dining room at the back of his casino. There’s a soft, velvety curtain hanging over the elaborately carved wooden door; it hides the two of you from the violinist. As well as any prying eyes.
“You’re the casino’s best dealer,” he says, low voice rumbling throughout his broad chest. “Want a raise?”
You arch an eyebrow, chomping on the steak fries you’d ordered.
He smiles, the scar across his face crinkling slightly.
“Seriously?”
Your voice is lined with vitriol, as you’re no stranger to Crocodile’s less-than-kind disposition.
He sucks his teeth, the rings on his fingers glinting in the warm, amber lighting. He looks like some sort of war god. Someone protective.
Someone strong.
“Seriously,” he intones.
You swipe a particularly chunky fry through ketchup. You bite, chew, and swallow. His dark eyes scan your every move. “How much of a raise?” Your eyes dart over his stature: strong and large and lovely.
You wonder what it’s like sitting on his lap. Your cheeks heat. He seems to see your thoughts as they pass through your swirling head.
He’s checking you out.
Sitting back in your seat, you sling an arm over the headrest. Your legs are crossed, the slit of your velvet dress riding up your mid-thigh. The plum fabric hugs your curves that Crocodile seems so interested in staring at.
Your stiletto heel clicks against the polished, wooden chair leg.
Crocodile fidgets with his hand, emeralds and rubies sparkling at his knuckles. The golden hook gleams in the romantic dining lights.
“As much as you want.”
You smirk.
“Bet.”
****
Crocodile leads you to the uppermost floor of his pyramid-casino. You’re standing at the floor-to-ceiling windows holding a champagne glass in your chipped-nail polish fingers.
He’s sorting through papers on his desk, emerald-tipped pen scribbling as he officially raises your salary almost 400%.
You stare down at the sands of Alabasta. You smirk.
“So…,” the warlord drawls, “Satisfied yet, sweetness?” His voice rumbles as he stands up from his desk. His hand is spread flat over the papers. His rings sparkle in the brilliant sunlight. His suit jacket is fitted perfectly along his broad shoulders and strong torso. He chews a cigar between his teeth.
You down the sour champagne.
“Not quite.”
He smiles, slow and sticky, as he watches you stalk forward. He stays behind his desk, his hand still splayed flat. His coat hangs loose around his shoulders.
“What else are you looking for?” He asks with dry humor.
You sit atop his desk, plush hips resting on the gleaming wood.
“Guess.”
He smiles, laughing softly beneath his cigar-smoke breath.
“I shouldn’t,” he says, mock-serious. His slicked-back hair is coffee-brown. His stature is cocksure and power hungry. You’re thirsty.
“Champagne’s not enough,” you say, standing. Your stilettos click against the tiled mosaic flooring.
“Oh?”
You roll in your lips, a slight moment of hesitation, before closing the distance between you and your chosen warlord.
“Not enough at all.”
He slowly, gently, raises his golden hook to tip your chin up. He appraises you like a jeweler studying something rare and pretty.
“What, pray tell, will quench this thirst of yours, hm?”
You swallow.
“Guess.”
****
Crocodile has you sat backward on his lap, your stilettos still on and your dress forgotten on the floor.
His cock is huge.
****
He bullies himself up into you; long, sure strokes kissing your velvet walls. You’re bruised and bitten: hickies all over your shoulders and neck.
****
Crocodile hums into your hair, kissing at the space behind your ears. He sucks on your earlobe, teething at the shell. “Such a pretty thing, hah?”
You whine, bouncing on his cock.
He steers you through a second orgasm. His hands are sunk into the flesh of your hips: slowing your pace as he savors each second of your clenching release.
“That’s my sweetheart…”

Imagine you’re in a relationship with Crocodile and he pisses you off so you squirt him with your spray bottle for your hair 😭
Y’all have been going at it all day and his stubborn ass won’t budge on his opinion. All you wanted was a summer trip to Dressrosa, but he didn’t want to see Doflamingo.
“Babe, we don’t even have to see Doffy! We’ll just be in his country!”
Crocodile narrows his eyes. “Since when were you on a nickname basis with Donquixote Doflamingo?”
“Oh my-- baby. I try to talk to all the warlords. Somebody’s gotta keep the peace between y’all, and it’s certainly not the World Government,” you say with an eye roll.
“We’re not going there. Period.”
You hate when Croccy puts his foot down like this. He won’t even negotiate with you about it.
Hours later, he’s still giving you the cold shoulder. Okay so maybe you shouldn’t be on a nickname basis with Doflamingo, but you take responsibility for that. Crocodile, however, should take responsibility for being so bullheaded. You’re detangling your hair when he walks up behind you. As you spray your curls and comb from the bottom, he speaks.
“You done with your little tantrum?” He asks in his sexy gravely voice.
“MY tantrum?” This irks you, so you spritz him right in the face with your water bottle. His face scrunches at the contact, water dripping from his skin. The scar across his face is soaked. You realize your mistake after you make it and try to make a run for it. Sand wraps around you waist keeping you from escape.
“Whoops?” You try with an awkward smile.
“You know you fucked up, right?” He grins deviously. You tuck your lips into a straight line to prevent you smiling further. You know you’re in for a night of funishment.

Forgetful Valentine's
The long awaited fic! I do hope you all enjoy what I've whipped up!
Everyone have an amazing Valentine's Day! ❤️❤️❤️
Pairings!: Sir Crocodile x AFAB Reader.
Quick summary : Crocodile is hard at work trying to get the Cross Guild up and running and accidentally forgets that it's Valentine's Day.
4.3k words
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Buggy Town was lively as usual. Almost Everyone here belonged to the cowardly clown’s crew, but a few select members had elected to stay loyal to Crocodile. The ex-warlord strolled through the tall tents toward the middle of town where real construction had begun. He had a hand in each building, deciding what and where needed to be built first. Mihawk was uninterested in this side of running the guild, and Buggy was far too incompetent to use a hammer, much less direct a building crew made out of pirates.
Crocodile made his way to the largest building, a hotel slash bar of sorts that housed him and the other leaders of the Cross Guild. It'd been a couple of days since the devil fruit user had been able to rest his head, and he was thrilled at the thought of getting to see you, his wife. The two of you have been together since his relocation to Alabasta, been married for around eight years now. Impel Down and Marineford had been life-changing for both of you, but things were beginning to look up with the formation of the Cross Guild.
Only the people Crocodile thought worthy enough to see him with his walls down knew that he was a bit of a romantic at heart. You were obviously one of them, and he couldn't wait to get back to their personal room, curl his huge frame around you, and go to sleep.
However, Crocodile couldn't help but think that he was forgetting something important- he just couldn't figure out what. He sighs heavily and pushes open the door to the hotel, and his cigar would have fallen out of his mouth if he had not clenched his teeth.
The entire lobby has been decorated in PINK. There are paper hearts and streamers everywhere, and someone has even made cupcakes with cutesy designs. There is a massive banner that spans across the bar, where Buggy and his crew sit at the bar, drinking and having a swell time, and Crocodile feels his heart drop. It's Valentine's Day, and he forgot.
Crocodile has nothing ready, nothing prepared for you. He's been far too busy dealing with the new shipment of crops and lumber coming in. The ex-warlord swears under his breath and spins on his heel, mind working quickly to try and find a solution.
Any other year, Crocodile has gone all out for you. Back in Alabasta, he'd wake you with flowers and a sweet breakfast, keeping the day open just for the two of you. Then he would take you out for an extravagant date, only to bring you back to the casino to feed you expensive fruits and worship you from head to toe. Before the night was over, he would run the two of you a bath, making sure it suited you perfectly before gently cleaning his love of the day's events.
All that changed after Straw Hat came and wreaked all of his plans, but right now, none of that mattered. Crocodile needed to find something - anything to give you. He's already wasted the majority of the day and cursed himself for not realizing what today was again. He could only hope that you would be forgiving.
Crocodile flies out of the hotel, dropping into sand and scattering out through Buggy Town. He comes back together when he finds Mihawk, knowing that the other man would have some fancy, expensive wine lying around somewhere.
The swordsman cocks a brow at him, looking thoroughly unimpressed at Crocodile's sudden entrance. Mihawk takes in the older man's rather erratic appearance.
“Can I help you?”
Crocodile smooths his hair back, settling back into nonchalance. He doesn't want the haunty man's help, but he doesn't have many options at the moment.
“I need a favor, a bottle of wine - strawberry, your most expensive brand.”
Mihawk shifts his weight, crossing his arms and leaning back against the crates behind him. It's not every day that Crocodile of all people comes asking for a favor.
“Why?”
The taller man flicks the ash from his cigar, eyes flickering to the darkening sky. He inhales deeply, lungs filling with smoke and then leaking up into the air. Fuck. This was embarrassing.
“I forgot it was Valentine's Day. I can't show up empty-handed,” Crocodile grumbles and huffs in annoyance when he sees the amused smirk on Mihawk’s face.
“You? Why celebrate such an unnecessary holiday?” Hawkeye inquires, but his eyes shine in mischief. Mihawk knows exactly the reason, but he can't help but want to pick on the other man.
Patience running thin, Crocodile glares down at the pompous bird who looks too smug for his own good.
“Because I don't take the one I love for granted,” he snarls down at Mihawk and revels in the look of anger that flashes across his face before it disappears. They glare at one another before the swordsman ultimately sighs and rolls his eyes as he is being asked to do the most unfortunate thing in the world.
“Fine,” Mihawk drawls and turns on to march back to the hotel, “Only because your wife deserves to have a nice Valentine's.”
Wine now in hand, Crocodile stalks to the back and into the kitchens. He demands the cooks whip up a platter of fine fruits and cheeses, simple things that he knows that you like. As he steps back into the lobby, he catches sight of the rack of cupcakes that sit far too close to Buggy for his liking. He sighs as he steps over to the figurehead of the Cross Guild, clearing his throat and smirking around his cigar at the way the clown shrieks and breaks into pieces.
Crocodile snatches up a cupcake, transferring the bottle of wine to a helpful pile of sand that he summons without a thought, “Who made these?”
Buggy looks about to die in his spot when he raises his hand, cheeks coloring bright red in embarrassment as he admits to baking the cupcakes. Crocodile scoffs at the goofball of a man who somehow became an emperor of the sea.
“Of course you did,” he sneers before turning on his heel and loping upstairs, leaving behind a befuddled and terrified Buggy.
The gator is uncharacteristically nervous when he arrives in front of his door. He can hear soft music playing from within, and his scar pulls tight around his nose when a wince crosses his face. The song is slow and crooning, one that he recognizes as one of the few that you play when you are feeling upset with him. Shit.
I’ve lost all ambition
For worldly acclaim
I just want to be the one you love
Crocodile steps through the door, brows pulling up at the sight of soft lighting and delicate decorations that are just a bit tacky. He cracks a tiny grin, and stubs out his cigar in the nearest ashtray, though the effort you’ve put in here just makes the ex-warlord feel guilty. On he goes, passed the living room, and out to the small balcony where he can still hear the slow tune of the song.
And with your admission
That you feel the same
I’ll have reached the goal I’m dreaming of
You sit in one of the chairs that have been set outside, blanket wrapped tight around your body, and turn when you hear the door slide open. Crocodile catches your eyes, and his shoulders slump in relief when you reward him with a soft smile full of love. You stand, dropping your blanket, and come to his side, simply happy that your husband has made it home before the end of the day.
Crocodile drapes himself over you, setting the wine bottle and cupcake away and then curling his arm around you tightly. He lifts you, tucking his hooked arm under your legs, and you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling yourself in so that you can seal your lips to his, sighing in relief at feeling the man you loved close again. You know that he is busy, and you try not to let how much his absence hurts, but you hadn’t thought that Crocodile would have forgotten Valentine's Day.
You rest your brow against his own when the ex-warlord parts from you, letting out a quiet giggle when he presses a smattering of kisses to your cheeks and nose, though when he stops, you can see the regret still shimmering in his purple eyes.
“Forgive me, doll,” Crocodile rumbles against your lips, “Getting the guild up and running has taken too much of my attention away from you.”
You smile at him, a soft quirk of your lips that Crocodile had fallen in love with over time. He once thought you were mocking him with that easy expression, but now it is one that he cherishes above all else.
“There is nothing you need to apologize for, baby,” you coo softly and smooth a hand along his jaw, feeling the days-old stubble there. You trace the scar that runs along his nose and cheekbones, “I know that you’ve got a lot on your plate.”
Crocodile huffs, leaning into the hold you have on him, “That’s no excuse. You deserve better than this. If I’d remembered, we wouldn’t be spending this evening in the hotel surrounded by fools.”
“It's not very nice to speak about your co-workers like that,” you tease your husband, and the gator just rolls his eyes skyward.
“As if either of them contribute to the guild,” Crocodile grouches and shrugs out of his heavy overcoat and settles into the chair, situating you into a more comfortable position in his lap. Below the chair, sand shifts and slides back inside and to the cellarette. He retrieves two wine glasses and his hand reforms with the stems tucked between his fingers.
“Impressive as always,” you quip and take the glasses, resting them beside the wine and cupcake that you are just now noticing. Your smile turns into a delighted grin, and you snatch up the bottle, reading the label, “You got my favorite!”
Crocodile gives you a smug smirk, feeling proud of himself for doing at least something right tonight, “Thank Mihawk later. He’s the one who had it lying around.”
He disintegrates the cork of the dark bottle and pours them both a generous amount of the pale pink wine, handing you your glass first and then taking up his own, “The cooks are making you that little snack tray you like so much. Always eating like a little mouse.”
You snort at the old nickname, “Not my fault that fruit, cheese, and bread go so well together.”
Crocodile keeps a steady hand on your hip when you lean back over and pick up the cupcake, examining the bright pink icing and chocolate cake, “Who made this?”
The sigh Crocodile disperses is earth-shattering, and you raise a brow at his dramatics, only to smirk when he hisses, “Buggy.”
“See, your business partners are good for something, right?” You point out and take an obvious sip of your wine, then examine the cupcake, wondering which angle to go in at to create the least mess.
Crocodile snatches the cupcake from your hand, setting it back on the table. He didn’t trust you not to get crumbs everywhere, “Enough, you’ve made your point. Be grateful, hmm?”
You scoff at his audacity to think that you would ever be ungrateful for anything the devil fruit user got for you. You quickly decide to show your husband just how grateful you can be by being obnoxious, of course.
You drape yourself over Crocodile’s chest with a dramatic sigh, shifting to cradle his face in both of your hands to press your lips to his in a lip-smacking kiss, “Thank you so much for the wine and snacks to come my sweet, dear husband! What would I ever do without you?”
“Be wineless and snackless,” Crocodile rumbles and snickers at your dramatic display. Seas does he love his wife, so opposite to him, but with a unique outlook on life that he has always admired.
You laugh, catching him in another kiss before settling back down. Crocodile pours you another glass, and you sip it with a suspicious look, “Are you trying to get me drunk, Sir Crocodile?”
The grin that you receive is dastardly, and you are tugged impossibly closer, almost spilling your drink if not for the grip you had on the delicate stim. You shiver when that dangerous hook finds the edge of your dress, and send Crocodile a soft glare when you hear it begin to rip. Cool air meets your thighs when he rips it further, and he leans in, lips brushing against yours as he speaks.
“If I recall, you quite like it when I take advantage of you, Doll,” He rumbles, and his flesh hand smooths up your thigh, thumb dipping in between the juncture of your legs and stroking the soft skin there. Crocodile longs to feel your plush thighs wrapped around his waist or his head. The ex-warlord wasn’t picky. He presses his cheek to his wife’s, breathing you in and leaving a lingering kiss to your ear, “Or am I remembering incorrectly?”
A breathy laugh escapes you, and you turn your face, lips finding his stubbled cheek, “No, you remember correctly.”
You think about teasing him about the fact that he had forgotten what today was but cast the thought away when you lean back and catch sight of the dark circles under his eyes. Your husband looks tired, and your tipsy, lust-filled mind is swiftly reminded that this is the first time that Crocodile has been back to the hotel in days.
The gator raises a brow when he catches the change in your expression, and he sighs as he is subjugated to your concerned fretting until a knock on the door grabs his attention. Crocodile sets you on your feet, hands off his glass to you, and suggests you gather the wine and join him inside.
By the time you make it inside, Crocodile is shutting the door and lopes over to the sitting area where you’ve sat your bounty on the center table. The tray of snacks joins the wine and sweet treat, and Crocodile presses a quick kiss to the top of your head, “Get ready for me while I change, Dear.”
Crocodile smirks at the way you flush at the husk of his voice, and satisfaction curls hot in his chest at still being able to make you blush like a virgin even after all these years.
“Yes, Sir,” You breathe, and his cock twitches in interest. Crocodile leaves before he can say fuck it and go straight to the main course.
With your husband gone, you take in a deep breath and set to “getting ready” as he ordered you to do, which surmounted to waiting for him to get back so that he could manhandle you how he wanted. You help yourself to another glass and pick at the charcuterie board - eating the cupcake too while you’re at it - you’ve already eaten, but you were never one to turn away food.
The sight of your husband dressed down in black sleep pants with a cigar hanging from between his teeth - he’s even taken off his golden hook for the night - makes you smile, affection, and love for the dangerous man who used to infuriate you at every turn. Now, only you had the honor of seeing the suna suna user like this, all soft and intimate, and all for you, his wife.
Crocodile sighs as he settles on the floor where you’ve strewn out pillows and thick blankets, making a cozy pallet for the two of you. He rests his back on the couch, extending his hookless arm along the cushions and taking up his filled glass. He watches you pick over to the record player and switch songs, smirking when the husky voice of the female artist fills the room. You settle back in his lap, and he wraps his left arm securely around your waist.
Your fingers find his scared wrist and trace gentle patterns there. You rest against him and quietly ask him about how the last couple of days have been. You listen to your husband grouch about the incompetent fools he works with a fond grin, occasionally rising to pick at the snack board and feed your overworked ex-warlord just to get him to pause in his rants. You chime in here and there and offer one last time if he wants your help, but Crocodile denies you like every other time.
“I won’t have you out there around those heathens when I can’t be there to protect you. Mr. 3 and Daz are the only two I trust around here,” Crocodile grumbles and pushes away the cracker and cheese combination you offer him. He smirks as he watches you shrug and eat it for yourself.
“Once I get a more stable network, then we can talk about getting you back out there.”
You huff, but agree for now, not willing to argue with the stubborn man right now. You blink when your world suddenly spins, and the next thing you know, your husband is looming over you, scar scrunching up as he grins meanly down at you.
“Enough about work, Doll. I’ve held myself back for your sake, but I’m done being patient,” Crocodile rumbles and stabilizes himself with his left elbow, trailing his flesh hand up your knee and pushing your dress up and around your hips. Saliva pools in his mouth at the sight of smooth thighs, your panties hugging your mound and leaving little to the imagination. He wants to mark you up like his personal canvas and paint you with bites and hickies so that everyone would know who you belong to.
He leans back just enough to tug your dress up and over your head, tossing it behind him the moment it leaves your head. Crocodile hums, pleased at the sight of your bare breasts, though he would have liked to have seen you nice and dolled up for him, “What have I told you about wearing the lingerie I bought you?”
You blush and shake your head, “It just gets in the way.”
“Ku ha-hah, If you would give it a chance, then maybe you would change your mind,” Crocodile grumbles at you and then leans down to mouth at your collar bone, nipping at the delicate skin there. His hand splays across your side, and he slides it down your hip to hook into your underwear. He tugs them down, growing impatient when his cock throbs in his pants.
Any thoughts of arguing about lingerie are whipped from your mind when those sharp teeth of his find one of your nipples and bites. You curse, one hand gripping his shoulder and the other sliding into his hair, nails biting sharply into his olive skin. The tip of his tongue curls around your nipple, sucking gently to ease the sharp pain.
With your underwear out of the way, Crocodile hooks his fingers around your thigh and tugs your legs open, hooking your left one over his hip. The tips of his fingers dig into your inner thigh, and you moan when he nips your nub before releasing the abused flesh and lean your head back to expose your throat when he noses forward. He sucks dark marks into your skin, leaving behind a painting that only your husband would have the pleasure of viewing.
Crocodile drags his hand down your thigh, growling low in his throat when you dig your nails into his scalp again. The tips of his fingers find your cunt, and he slides his middle finger through your folds, smirking against your skin when he feels how wet you are for him. He leans up and sucks his finger into his mouth for half a second, soaking it thoroughly before sliding it back down and finding your entrance with practiced ease.
“Fuck,” you hiss, and your hips jerk at the sudden stretch. Crocodile was a large man, bigger than the average at the least, and that meant everything on him matched his height. His fingers, usually decorated with rings, were long and thick, and the gator knew how to use them to bring you over the edge until you were begging for his cock.
“Too much?” Crocodile grunts out from where he has leaned back to lave his tongue along your throat, sharp teeth nipping, “But you can take it even if it was, couldn’t you, sweetheart?”
You jerk your head in a nod, deliriously with wanton lust, “Of course, Sir. Whatever you wanted from me.”
He laughs against your skin, and then he is moving up to shove his tongue past your lips, groaning at the mixed taste of you and sweet strawberry wine. You suck on the thick muscle that fills your mouth, jaw aching at the way Crocodile doesn't let up. Your thighs shake when he adds another finger, the pace brutal and impatient.
“C-croc, please,” you plead when he pulls away, lips red and smeared with spit, “You're not the only one who's been waiting.”
Crocodile gives you a smirk, not needing to be told twice. You unwrap your arms from his neck, and he sits back on his knees, thumb hooking into the elastic of his pants, pulling them down, and you watch his impressive length spring free. Your mouth fills with saliva, and if you didn't want your husband inside you so badly, you would demand he sit back so you could suck him off.
Instead, you reach out and wrap your hand around the thick base, smirking when you feel him pulse in your hand. You squeeze gently, eyes landing on the thick precum that leaks from his tip. Crocodile rumbles above you, sounding like the animal that he is named after, and the sound sends shocks straight to your core.
Done with your playing, you sit back and tighten your legs around his waist, causing the big man to rock forward.
“Fuck me, Crocodile. Make it up to me for almost missing Valentine's.”
Crocodile's grin is nasty and mean, sharp teeth pearly and on display, “As my wife demands.”
With those words, Crocodile bats your hand away from his cock and takes himself in hand. He guides himself forward, hissing at how tight of a fit you are, swallowing him down until his hips pressed flush against your own. Crocodile lingers for half a second before he is pulling out, dragging along your walls before slamming back in.
You shout, head falling back to the pillows below as Crocodile sets a back breaking pace. You hold on to his shoulders to dear life, his hand tight around your hip to keep you still as he fucks into your cunt. He shifts his knees under you, arm moving to wrap around your waist, keeping you close as he moves to kneel on the ground. This position pushes him impossibly deeper, and you lean forward to rest your sweaty brow against his chest.
Crocodile bounces you on his cock, bodily moving you up and down, and you feel that hot coil of pleasure snap inside of you when your clit grinds wonderfully against his pelvis. He doesn't stop, growling as you clench tight around him and snapping his hips up, dragging his length against your sweet spot.
“You should see yourself,” Crocodile snarls above you, and bends, pressing his cheek to yours, “Stuffed so full with my cock. You like it when I'm rough, don't you baby?”
You nod eagerly, teeth clenched tightly when your husband tightens his grip in your waist and holds you down while he grinds up. You come quickly after that, hands tight around his shoulders and nails digging into Crocodile’s back.
His pace becomes erratic, and Crocodile can feel himself starting to get close. His wife feels too good, and he doesn't fight it when that heat snaps, pulling you down and shoving in to fill you up to the brim. You watch him, taking in the blissed out way, his brows furrowed and his sharp teeth clench. He paints you from the inside, and the two of you look down at where you are connected to see a mix of slick and semean leak out and stain your thighs.
The two of you stay like that until Crocodile grows soft and he slips out of your fucked out pussy with a quiet groan. You stay draped over him, unwilling to move, and feeling exhausted. The gator huffs at you, though he can't pick when Crocodile lets out a jaw cracking yawn. He stands with a heavy sigh, unbothered by the mess left behind as he lopes to the bathroom.
Crocodile switches arms, tucking his handless arm under your ass to keep you help up while he flicks on the tub. It's too hot for him when he steps into the huge tub, but he knows that you wouldn't tolerate anything cooler than molten lava. He adjusts you so that you are mostly submerged, big frame relaxing against the edge of the tub.
He smooths your hair away from your face, a soft smile playing on his lips when he catches your eyes. He leans in and presses his lips to your brow, “I love you, Doll.”
You grin, eyes falling shut, and you press yourself as close as you can to your husband, lips grazing his chest, “I love you too, Crocodile.”
The ex-warlord hums low, a smirk appearing, but you can still see the slight discontent in his eyes. Today isn't how he would have liked it to go, and you both know it. He tucks you close, head leaning back.
“I won't forget next year.”

second part
To Crocodile, everyone has a purpose useful to him.
From the janitor, who needs to clean every inch of his establishment spotless, to the manager, the one who needs to make sure that everyone and everything works, to his minions, who follow his instructions as the bees follow the queen,.
And then there was you.
He never actually cared what your life was before starting to work for his casino; you were just a waitress. Your purpose was to care for his place, like everyone else. You were young and, in your own way, cute—maybe too much for a place like that. Well, does a cute face make customers happy? Yes, but it's a distraction.
How has it happened? It just happened that he liked you around, to the point of making you work only for himself as a personal maid and, at some point, sharing even his own bed.
It was wrong. Maybe. Did he care? Not at all.
But what kind of purpose could he get from you? To devour every little inch of you till there was nothing? You never even asked for anything in return; he was the one to make you gifts and presents that could make a girl twirl. Devouring you or letting you be...
Maybe it was for the best, maybe it was a better idea, he pondered every time his eyes opened up to your own figure in his bed, covered in silky sheets.
"You can make a request. You can ask me for everything you want, Y/N."
His back was on you, too occupied to light his cigar. A moment of silence, your voice nothing but a whisper.
"I want a small piece for growing flowers."
An odd request, one that he wanted to arrange. He had noticed your peculiar love for plants and flowers; you were one of the few that kept them always in good condition.
A small island, away from Baroque works and the marines. Away from the scorching sun, where spring was the only season. No one needed to come; maybe a maid just for you; gods forbid the sole presence of another man in your presence.
A place where you could keep your flowers and where he could keep you away from everything.
You had a purpose—just to be his own.

crocodile:
“Meet me there tonight,” Crocodile yawned, placing a soft kiss on your forehead.
You closed your eyes as he tucked you back into bed, gently covering you in a mass of blankets and sheets.
Sleep overtook you as you watched him put on his coat and slip out of the door, smiling to yourself as you noticed he’d left his watch on your nightstand.
The bed he’d bought you was unbelievably comfortable and dangerously warm. The biting cold desert nights were remedied with the matching duvet and silk pillow sheets he’d gifted you and the only thing that made sleeping better was when he’d stay the night.
But you understood the nature of your relationship- if you could even call it that.
The affection and softness he showed you were for no one else to know about, and that much had been made clear.
Yet, you couldn’t find yourself worrying too much. Crocodile was, of course, one of many benefactors whose attention you’d grabbed and you were overtly aware of the effect you had on him.
You’d meet him at any bar he asked you to, take care of any business he needed handled, and when he called, you’d come.
But as much as you knew you weren’t entirely his, he knew he wasn’t entirely yours.
The clock read 9:00 when you decided to get ready.
A sleek black dress with a plunging neckline that hugged you where your flesh curved.
Glossy black heels, extending your long legs and paired with a red lip.
You grabbed your wallet and pulled your coat over your shoulders.
It smelled like Crocodile. Expensive cologne and cigars. Last time you’d worn it some wine had spilled and he offered to have it washed. It carried the clean scent of lemongrass that all his clothes smelled like.
You couldn’t help but take a deep breath before stepping out.
The bar was busier than usual, there was even a jazz band playing. The music was soft and cool, you made a mental note to ask them for a business card, as you were sure this was the kind of thing your lover would love to have at his next party.
Sauntering towards your usual spot at the bar, you took the only open seat next to a blond gentleman who was chatting with the bartender.
He had on a blue suit and an obnoxiously loud laugh.
The bartender made his way over to you, “Anything I can start you off with?”
“Just a martini please,” you asked.
“Fufufu~ Put it on my tab,” the man next to you said to the bartender.
You looked over at him, smiling, “Thank you. Do we know each other?”
“Not yet,” he said, he wore sunglasses, but you could feel him looking you up and down and suddenly felt very vulnerable, “But I’d like to.”
Something was off about him. You could sense something predatory in his voice and the hairs on the back of your neck started to rise.
But Crocodile would be there soon and you’d been looking forward to your martini so you decided to at least finish the drink before finding some bad excuse to leave.
You sipped on your drink and politely entertained his odd questions, like Where did you like to shop? What fabric feels best on your skin? and What perfume were you wearing?
The longer you spoke with him, the more you felt an intense and unnerving hunger invading him.
“What brings you here?” you asked, finally reaching your limit to his never ending questions.
“Just waiting for an old friend,” he answered, amused by you.
Silence followed your question. You’d finished your drink a while ago so there was nothing left to do but sit and wait.
You could feel the man’s eyes watching you, almost as though he were trying to look through your skin.
You heard the door of the bar swing open and turned around.
Relief washed over you as you saw Crocodile walk in, extremely tired and in need of a drink and some sloppy kisses. You’d provide him readily with both.
He walked over to you smiling and placed a gentle kiss on your cheek, “Sorry about the wait, Sweetheart.”
“Pretty girl you’ve caught,” your ‘friend’ said, the odd lilt in his voice setting you on edge.
You watched Crocodile’s entire demeanor shift in an instant.
His eyes narrowed like a cat’s and there was a shift of energy in the room. It filled with tension and sand from floor to ceiling.
“Doflamingo,” Crocodile stated.
“She’s kept me in good company,” he mused, gesturing towards you, “Clever girl, and such a sweetheart. Didn’t even recognize me. Isn’t that cute?”
“Y/n, we’re leaving.”
You nodded and got up, making your way towards him.
“Ah-” you yelped as a sharp slice of pain cut through your wrists as you felt yourself jolted a few feet backwards, your back hitting against his clothed chest.
“Surely, Crocodile, you’re not too vain to share?”
You felt the air get sucked out of the room, a wave of anxiety flooding through every living thing in that bar.
Awkwardly yet quickly the bar's patrons left, running once out of the confines of the four walls holding the two warlords.
Sweat dripped down your body and your breathing was starting to become panicked.
The pressure along your wrists was getting worse and you had no idea what was happening. A thin line of blood dribbled down your forearms as your hands were raised above your head as though pulled by some invisible string.
A calloused hand pressed your face against his own, and you froze as you felt Doflamingo’s tongue
“I suggest you end your little game now Doflamingo,” Crocodile said, his voice calmer than he looked, “Out of the two of you, there’s only one I can dry out, and it isn’t the one covered in sweat.”
You felt grains of sand rubbing against your skin and looked down to see your assailant's leg was getting dried out.
“Fufufufu~ too much pride to share, but not enough to avoid jealousy.”
With a grunt of dissatisfaction the hold on your wrists ceased and your fall to the floor was stopped by surprisingly soft sand.
Crocodile helped you up, wiping away the blood from your wrists and tearing his pocket square in half to tie around each of your wrists.
He helped you up with a shocking delicacy, and walked you out of the bar. Sending in Mr. 1 to finish taking care of the situation for him.
A car picked you up and your lover tended to your wounds. Brushing your hair out of your face and letting you change into his shirt. Your clothes were torn and stained with blood and dirt.
“I’ll buy you new ones,” he assured you.
You laughed, “That’s okay, I did like the coat though. It smelled like you.”
He sighed, rubbing circles on your back.
You’d be the death of him.
“Let me take you back to yours,” he said, pressing kisses to your head, “I- I’d like to see that you’re alright.. and I believe I left my watch there.”
mihawk:
You rubbed your husband’s back in an attempt to console him as you both watched the Red Haired pirates unload their ship on Kuraigana Island.
“You know this means we’ll get no sleep for the next week,” Mihawk said, “And that we’ll be in dire need of food and a maid by the time they leave.”
You laughed, “But it gets so lonely here! You wouldn’t know because you’re always leaving, but I get lonely and bored. And I’ve heard they like a drink or two.”
“Or two.”
The two of you sat and observed as they finished unloading and docking the ship, and you pressed an outburst of kisses to his head, tugging your hand away from his. Laughing at his reluctance to greet his unwanted guests.
“How are ya’ Sweetheart?” Shanks hugged you and pressed a big kiss onto your cheek, earning a glare from your husband.
“I have one for you too, Hawkeye,” he said, approaching the swordsman who reluctantly allowed himself to be embraced.
You greeted the rest of the crew, and only Beckman had the decency to withhold a kiss.
The drinking had started before the sun had a chance to set. By early dusk, with golden rays still streaking the sky, cups were being filled. To your pleasant surprise Mihawk allowed himself slight indulgence and was portioning out a pint for himself.
You’d started off well, just a glass of wine. But by your second you were already messily kissing your husband- much to his (well hid) enjoyment.
Since you weren’t a pirate or a powerholder you rarely accompanied Mihawk on his expeditions, they were too dangerous. And though you couldn’t complain about the castle you were living in, you could definitely complain about the boredom.
There was plenty to do, you’d planted a garden and the island cats had taken a liking to you. You had an enormous library and a beautiful kitchen.
Yet you found yourself incredibly happy to be here, partying with pirates who had stories and scars and were loud and boisterous and dangerous and exciting.
So when the crew’s sniper suggested shots you were the first to participate.
Mihawk stayed seated in the back and gave you a nod of encouragement
“He does leave me here with his wines all day,” you joked, earning an eruption of laughter from the men. “She’s drinking you dry, Hawkeye!” one yelled.
“Oh I most definitely am,” you teased, winking at your husband, who choked on his drink. Another fit of laughter seized the pirates, especially the captain.
“I like her,” he said, taking a seat next to the swordsman.
“How about a drinking game,” one of the men yelled.
A chorus of yeses followed.
“Rules are simple, player says heads or tails, if their guess is right the coin goes to the next person, if the guess is wrong you remove one article of clothing and take a shot.”
The sound of a sword unsheathing silenced the entire party.
“Might wanna adjust some rules there,” Shanks laughed.
“I-if the guess is wrong you take a shot.”
“One more sweetheart,” Shanks laughed, “C’mon!”
You nodded eagerly, firmly gripping the overflowing shot glass in your hand, the bitter brown liquid sloshing over the rim.
You choked down your sixth shot of the night, biting back the urge to gag. You weren’t sure what you’d just swallowed but its effects were nearly immediate.
The sound of your heart pounding throughout your body was making you dizzy, and the sound of waves crashing led to a subtle nausea spreading across you.
The sun had long set and night covered the island. You’d all been partying and drinking for hours.
“Another!” you slurred, grabbing onto the captain’s arm.
The crew laughed and Shanks poured you another shot, bringing it to your lips for you.
“That’s enough,” you felt a strong hand wrap around your waist, and saw Mihawk pull the shot glass away from your lips.
“‘m perfec’ly fine,” you insisted, hiccupping.
“I can tell,” he mused, “Let’s go sit for a while.”
Mihawk held a water bottle to your mouth, wiping the spilling water off your lips with his thumb.
“Tired, cariño?”
You nodded, bringing his arms down around your waist.
You were undeniably adorable with pouty lips and warm, rosy cheeks.
But he knew drunk pirates and didn’t think you needed to be surrounded by them any longer. He lifted you up onto his lap, where you found a worthy pillow in his chest, bringing your arms to rest around his neck.
Mihawk started the walk up to your room, to get you ready for bed and you half-heartedly waved goodbye to the loud and laughing entourage of pirates in your backyard.
You’d have a terrible headache in the morning and be hungrier than usual, and your husband would bring you medicine and breakfast in bed.
smoker:
Vice Captain Smoker was a serious man who was both dedicated and loyal to his work. Morally and legally he upheld his reputation and duty as a successful marine and had a generally better record than his subordinates, peers, and supervisors.
Loguetown’s reputation had been single handedly transformed under his supervision.
More often than not the man’s mind was occupied with quotas and deadlines, meetings with higher ups he was dreading, and whipping the lower ranked marines into shape.
But Friday nights when Tashigi would stay late so he could leave early, there was one other thing he allowed himself to think about.
You.
He wouldn’t admit it to himself and it was more of a subconscious attraction than a spoken one but every Friday, without fail, he’d stop by the bakery you worked at to get a latté.
You had found yourself looking forward to Fridays. The city was surprisingly quiet those nights despite it being the start of the weekend and by the time the Captain came around you were getting ready to close up shop.
He was easily noticed for several reasons, mainly because he was well known (and feared) but also because he always made conversation with you. The first few times you were slightly taken aback at how chatty he was, he was known to be a man of few words and it unnerved you to see him so talkative.
By the fourth cup of coffee you’d served him you saw him as a regular.
In reality, Smoker himself was surprised at his change in demeanor when he was around you.
As though someone were feeding him lines, he found himself able to just talk.
About the weather and the city, but also to ask you about yourself.
After a month or so of visiting you he found himself craving coffee on Mondays. And eventually Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes- when he was in a particularly good mood- he’d even go on Wednesday mornings to pick up coffee for the entire department.
And you, increasingly eager to see your favorite regular, would always have his order ready when he arrived.
A time or two you’d even brushed hands when passing the coffee and in both of you a feeling of nervousness and pleasure was revealed on your skin through a light pink blush.
It was a Tuesday evening, right as you began closing that a new customer came in. He asked for a cake and said he’d need it by morning.
You explained that it wouldn’t be possible, as you were closing now and he was welcome to put the order in the following morning.
“I’ll pay five times whatever you’re selling this stuff for,” he offered, “My captain likes sweets and I was just let on the crew and he gave me this errand and said I had to-”
You interrupted his rambling with a nod and said you’d do it for five time’s the asking price.
฿550 for a single cake wasn’t an opportunity you’d pass up, and you figured you’d compensate for the lack of sleep tomorrow.
You’d stayed up the entire night working tirelessly to make sure the cake was ready. When you say to take a “short break” before opening, you’d passed out on the counter, forgetting to set your alarm.
You heard soft knocking on the window and were jolted awake. Rubbing the exhaustion out of your eyes you looked over to see Smoker puffing his cigar outside your shop, a concerned look on his face.
You got up to unlock the door and let him in.
The sun wasn’t up yet. The clock read 5:00.
“You’re here early,” you said.
“Yes.. Well, I walk this way to my office and I saw you sleeping. Are you alright?”
You nodded.
“You’re sure? Did you sleep here? Do you need anything?”
Your eyes widened and the color of your cheeks conceded your embarrassment.
“No! Yes, I stayed in the shop late,” you explained, “A customer needed a cake ready by this morning.”
Smoker nodded.
“Thanks for asking.”
He nodded again.
You started getting his coffee ready as you talked.
“ Don’t those take a long time to make? Do you usually do that? Stay late, I mean.” he gestured towards the display of pastries.
“Not usually, no,” you laughed, at his onslaught of questions, “But he made a fantastic offer. Five times the asking price! He said something about his Captain. I think he was a pirate. I didn’t pay much attention after he offered the money.”
Smoker laughed.
“Oh,” you added, “Please don’t arrest him until after he pays.”
You liked the sound of his laughter and joined him in giggling.
“Any requests for your latté art today?”
“Surprise me.”
You handed him his coffee and refused his payment, assuring him he was a regular customer and it was quite alright.
“Then let me use this to buy you a coffee.”
You smiled and assured him you had all the coffee and sweets you could possibly need.
“But if you’ll let me borrow that bill for just a moment, I’ll leave you something.”
Smoker looked confused, but had no hesitation in offering you the money.
“This is probably the only way I can get you to keep your money.”
You took out a pen and scribbled down your phone number on the bill.
He blushed as you handed it back to him, gently folding it into his pocket.
“If.. you aren’t busy tonight” he started, hesitating, “I’d love to take you out to dinner.”
You looked up at him.
“I’m not busy!” you nodded eagerly, “I’d love to!”
“Is 7 alright then?”
“Perfect,” you said, “Just call me.”
Smoker walked out, smiling more than he thought he ever had,
It was cold out and he went to take a sip of his coffee, he thought to himself that it tasted better than usual.
