adding on to internet sites actively allowing the dissemination of fake news and pro-Hamas/antisemitic propaganda, YouTube is actively suppressing pro-Israel content and promoting pro-Hamas or Palestinian-biased sources. I have active proof of this; how many times can I block the fucking TRT World far-right Turkish site from popping up on my feed, and etc etc before it’s obvious that YouTube doesn’t care about us???
YouTube is the crookedest of them all, their algorithm is powered by a turbine running on Satan's farts. I go to YouTube to watch a mash-up video connecting the end of Rogue One to the start of ANH and immediately the feed cues up lectures on how women ruined Star Wars.
When it comes to algorithmic enshittification of the Internet, try not to take the antisemitism personally. They really are equal opportunity offenders.

memorising their favourite things and treating them when they have a bad day for peterpatterlina plz!
Also tagging @jmrothwell, who asked for this prompt for any pairing, and @innytoes, who asked for it and Reggie/Anyone (it's probably not exactly what you had in mind but I got stuck on Julie being the one who had the bad day)
Julie trudges to her locker, wishing she could simply crawl inside it and power down like some kind of robot. She's really not in the mood…
"Julie!"
…for rehearsal. She bites back a sigh.
Luke and Reggie flank her locker, bouncing on their toes, and Julie just gives them a tight smile, sure that anything she'd say would be too sharp, or it would disappoint them, somehow.
Reggie falters, his own smile going wobbly with uncertainty. Luke, however, is unfazed, and he leans in closer, effectively blocking her from getting into her locker.
"What?" she huffs, crossing her arms.
"We were just thinking that—it's Friday, and we should take a break. Get some snacks, watch some Buffy—"
"Paint our nails!" Reggie chimes in with renewed enthusiasm. "Just hang out."
Julie arches her eyebrows. Her eyes jump from one of them to the other before her gaze finally settles on Luke.
"Really? Reggie, I can maybe believe, but Luke? You want to take a break from rehearsing? For 'girl stuff'?"
"Yes?"
He scrambles to say more as she scowls.
"Okay, maybe that's not exactly what I want. But we know you had a rough day! And we want to make it better. If that means taking a break from music to treat you—then we will. You're more important."
Julie can't help it. She softens her stance.
"Guys…you'd really do that? For me?"
"Course we would, Jules," Reggie says warmly, wearing his widest, crookedest grin. He winks. "Special gals deserve some special treatment now and then."
A giggle escapes before she can stifle it, but Luke drowns it out when he speaks, extra loud in his own brand of enthusiasm.
"Exactly! Plus, Alex and Willie would probably love to replace our usual rehearsal time with a date. It's a win-win."
Julie smiles at the ground, then glances at them through her lashes. "Well…alright."
They whoop and cheer, and she gives them five seconds to bask in their victory.
"Can I get into my locker now, though?"
They freeze, flush, and stammer before finally scrambling out of the way, and Julie's laughter carries down the hall. She has to admit…she's feeling better, already.
"You really know how to spoil a girl," she tells them later, accepting a grape from Luke, who's snuggled into her side, watching Buffy with…minimal complaints.
Reggie looks up from painting her toenails.
"Not any girl. Just you, Julie."
Luke hums in agreement, and Julie can't look at him. The affection in Reggie’s eyes alone is already too much, because…
There's no way they mean that the way it sounds, that they care for her the way she cares for them. It…it can't be that simple.
But then Luke says, "He's right, boss. You're the only one we want to do this sort of thing for. Because—"
"Oh—you couldn't have waited until I was done with her toes?" Reggie asks exasperatedly, because…oops.
She giggles nervously and stops squirming, allowing him to continue without getting any more paint on her skin.
"Sorry, Reggie."
Luke just squawks. "I couldn't have waited? You cut right to the heart of it!"
Julie holds up a finger, stalling the bickering. "Are we calling this a date?"
"That's how you cut to the heart of it," Reggie says through a grin. "I vote yes."
They look to Luke. He shrugs.
"We can take you somewhere, if you'd rather do something more—dynamic."
Reggie hums knowingly. Julie just laughs.
"Is that what you actually want to do?"
Luke splutters. "I—today's about you!"
"Tomorrow, then. How's that sound?"
"Yeah," he says dazedly. "Yeah, okay."
And by the time their official date rolls around…she’s forgotten about the terrible start to her weekend entirely.

Spoilers incoming
Spoilers for The Show:The Company You Keep ABC
Thank you for the gifs cause now I'm hooked on The Company you Keep haha!! It's funny to see the dynamic between Birdie and Daphne though like I know I read your tags but truly was not prepared for how tense their interactions are. Also getting context for that ASL line bro Daphne knows no bounds and i love it. If this show was fun we would be getting 2 types of cat and mouse type of a storyline with the main m/f couple and then these 2 women but alas but they are fun because their hatred is strong but they are also so alike with their bonds to their families. So thank you cause man this show is fun and these actressss are sooo good in their roles and very pretty!!
Ps: spoiler - There was a throwaway from Birdie where she was like she's a sucker for Irish accents even if they are a gangster and 1) no pronouns, no "I love a guy with an Irish accent" and 2) considering Daphne's potential family ties....👀👀👀 minus the accent of course but who knows lol me being silly over this never gonna happen ship the things your gifs do to me !!!
Thank you again !!
Haha, right, I was afraid people would see the gifs and be like, oh, this is a light, fun thing when actually it's quite intense and a little scary.
Even as I KNOW they won't happen, I'm also like, but what if...? Every ep, I'm like, hmm, do these interactions suggest anything? A part of me feels like if they were going to go there, they would be a bit more obvious, but I'm also looking for other potential love interests and they don't have anyone yet.
For Birdie, I guess her ex is still an option, and then Emma's brother, David, and I really hope it's not Connor, who, lol, fits the Irish accent but he seems quite threatening and brutal. I suppose it's possible Daphne might fall in David's circle at some point, especially if he becomes corrupt, and actually, it kind of feels like Emma's assistant has a huge crush on her, lol, but mostly I just hope she doesn't have a thing for Charlie, that'd be so trite and tired for a fun show like this.
In terms of what dynamics are at play, indeed, if you have Charlie and Emma as crook and cop, you would have Birdie and Daphne as crook and...crookeder, lol. Birdie and David would be crook and politician, which, perhaps some people would call that the same, but outwardly, it feels too close to Charlie and Emma, and presumably, whatever one finds out, the other sibling would too so that reduces a lot of the drama and suspense.
Birdie and Connor would be crook and crookedest because so far Daphne seems much more humanized and sympathetic than any other bad guy, so even though she's currently the antagonist, it feels like Connor's even worse, it would have to be a big pivot to make him suddenly good enough to root for him against Daphne, though of course anything's possible.
I'm just curious in general about where the show will go, even with just Emma and Charlie. It's going to become a bit ludicrous if neither finds out about the other the more time passes, especially when both are so heavily involved with Daphne. Like, she literally left the bar a minute before Emma arrived!
In ep 3, we didn't have any Daphne and Birdie moment at all, but just like you spotted that line about the Irish accents, I really zoomed in on that scene early on, when Birdie's ex calls, she changes the subject with THIS segue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like okay, okay, okay.
But yeah, it's such a fun show and already, aside from these main ladies, we've had guest spots from Bridget Regan and Jes Macallan, it's been very easy on the eyes. :P

Best Activities in San Francisco: A Personal Guide!
When I first arrived in San Francisco, I felt the excitement bubbling inside me. This city, known for its steep streets and iconic landmarks, offers a unique blend of culture, history, and adventure. But with so much to do, where should you start? Here's my guide to the best activities in San Francisco that will make your visit truly memorable.
Tumblr media
Problem: Feeling Overwhelmed by Choices
San Francisco has something for everyone—historical sites, natural wonders, and vibrant neighborhoods. The challenge is deciding where to go and what to see. I remember feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of options. Do I spend the day exploring museums or walking through the city’s famous parks? Should I prioritize iconic landmarks or hidden gems?
Agitation: Missing Out on the Must-Do Activities
Nobody wants to leave a city feeling like they missed out on the best experiences. When I was planning my trip, I wanted to ensure that I didn't miss any of the city's highlights. There's nothing worse than getting home and realizing you missed the must-see spots. I needed to plan carefully to make the most of my time in San Francisco.
Solution: My Top Picks for the Best Activities in San Francisco
Based on my experience, here are the best activities in San Francisco that you simply can't miss:
1. Walk Across the Golden Gate Bridge
Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge was at the top of my list. This iconic bridge, completed in 1937, stretches 1.7 miles and offers stunning views of the city and bay. I suggest starting from the visitor center on the south end, where you can pick up some interesting historical tidbits before setting out. Walking the bridge is free, and if you have a couple of hours, consider walking both ways to fully appreciate the views.
2. Explore Alcatraz Island
A visit to Alcatraz Island is a must for any first-timer. The ferry ride to the island costs about $41 for adults and includes an audio tour of the infamous former prison. I spent about three hours here, wandering through the cell blocks and learning about the island's history. The views of the city from the island are also spectacular. Be sure to book your tickets in advance, as they often sell out, especially during peak tourist seasons.
3. Visit Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39
Fisherman’s Wharf is one of those places that just feels like San Francisco. I loved the energy here—street performers, bustling shops, and the smell of fresh seafood in the air. Pier 39, in particular, is famous for its sea lions, who laze about on the docks. I recommend grabbing a bowl of clam chowder from one of the vendors and finding a spot to watch the sea lions play. It’s a great place to spend a few hours, and you only need to pay for food or souvenirs.
4. Ride a Cable Car
San Francisco’s cable cars are not just a means of transportation; they are an experience. I took the Powell-Hyde line, which costs $8 per ride. The cable car offers a fun, open-air ride up and down the city’s steep streets. You’ll pass by landmarks like Lombard Street, known as the “crookedest street in the world,” and get fantastic views of the bay. It’s a bit touristy, but sometimes you just have to embrace it.
5. Visit Golden Gate Park
Golden Gate Park is larger than New York’s Central Park and has so much to offer. I rented a bike for $15 an hour and spent the afternoon exploring. The park is home to several attractions, including the California Academy of Sciences and the Japanese Tea Garden. I particularly enjoyed the Conservatory of Flowers, which showcases a variety of rare and exotic plants. The park is free to enter, though some attractions charge a small fee.
Conclusion: Make the Most of Your San Francisco Visit
San Francisco is a city that rewards the curious traveler. Whether you’re walking across the Golden Gate Bridge or taking a ride on a cable car, there are countless experiences to enjoy. By following this guide, you’ll hit the best activities in San Francisco and leave with memories that will last a lifetime. I promise you won’t regret any minute spent in this incredible city!

☕️ THE FAMILY BRAND ☙ Tuesday, August 1, 2023 ☙ C&C NEWS 🦠
Good morning, C&C, it’s Tuesday, the first of August! We bravely head into the sweaty dog days of summer, when the grass is greener, the bushes are bigger, the butterflies more numerous, and the climate change fanatics are most hysterical. So hang on.
Your vacation-inspired (but truncated) roundup today includes: Devon Archer testified before Congress in the Biden Bribery hearings and despite DOJ threats testified Joe Biden might be the crookedest politician in history, or words to that effect; another senator with a weird medical issue that is very similar to a jab injury; another pro football player with cardiac problems; an update on the first pro football player’s cardiac problem; and the Wall Street Journal’s editorial page runs an anti-climate-change op-ed.
