A little headcanon of mine is that Kaz and Inej keep their respective surnames after they get married, but also use all of them interchangeably. Their last name ends up depending on who speaks first.

Kaz can and will tell Zoya that, “It’s Mr. Ghafa now, actually.”

Meanwhile the elderly couple who own a bakery in Lij know them as the Rietvelds.

Inej referring to herself as Mrs. Brekker is saved for when she wants to strike additional fear into the hearts of men. But she also once joked about her and Kaz going by Mr. and Mrs. Dirtyhands.

I made a beast this semester called Wolf (The Deer) and she was probably my favorite thing I made?

I choose to believe that when Jesper learns how to better handle his fabrikating capabilities, his first big project is a jacket for Inej. One to mimic the qualities of a kefta (bulletproof, fireproof, etc), but better suited for pirating. Because that’s his bestie and he worries about her and their friendship is so important to me

i don’t think people understand how important gift-giving can be, especially to neurodivergent people. i’m not just talking about gifts for birthdays and holidays, i’m talking about the random “hey I found this cool rock/leaf/plushie and it reminded me of you :)” kind of gift-giving

I just remembered how I was explaining my hyperfixations and habit of collecting things of no value (such as can tabs, bottle caps, and card games) to my friend and she wasn't getting it so her sister said, "They're like a penguin. Y'know how penguins like shiny rocks? They're a penguin."
