I've been messaging back and forth with @mohammedalanqer after he shared his fundraiser with me, and very quickly into our conversation I offered to draw a comic about him to help boost his gofundme. he was incredibly excited about the idea and shared so many lovely pictures of his family for reference. the text is based off his story of him and his family living under constant bombardment, which you can read here.

he has been able to raise €50,403 out of €58,000, meaning he only has €7,592 left to be able to evacuate. please share this comic as much as possible so that he can reach his goal!

severely disabled intersex trans person needs help saving up for rent

hello there, i am a severely disabled intersex trans person who deals with crohn's disease, arthritis, hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome, schizophrenia, and other health problems. i have been getting sicker and sicker due to my crohn's disease, it has been very difficult if not impossible to eat most days. i'm struggling with unintended weight loss, nausea, vomiting, diahrrea, constipation, severe pain in my intestines and stomach, and other GI issues daily, which make it very difficult to function. i'm also dealing with severe fatigue due to this- a lot of my days i end up sleeping all day, and i've been bed bound for a few months now. i cannot work a traditional job due to these issues, so i have an online shop where i make ends meet.

Hi, I'm a very mentally ill trans woman who is about to get kicked out of their apartment. I have no irl support network, nowhere else I can crash, I will be out on the streets. I have to come up with the rest of the rent in about 10 days (they are not giving me till the 1st). In total I need about $800 to stay here, which I know is a lot to ask and I don't feel great about it but I'm fully out of options. I've been doing sex work for months and searching everyday for a stable job but it's not working. Countless job applications and interviews and I'm still out of luck. At the end of February, because my Employer had nowhere else to put me, I was given a choice of either quitting or going to the one position they did have.

Which fucked up my legs bad enough I went on sick leave and the boss went "Alright, be on sick leave while looking for work, we'll cover that."

So I did, thankfully a position opened up with them so I didn't have to change employers and I'm managing just fine.

I'm giving you this backstory to say the paycheck this month that I need to cover rent by May 14th was nowhere near enough to cover rent.

I'm asking for $1000 by May 12 so transfers can happen without issue and I can cover rent, which is practically the wage I would have gotten properly.

if you know, you know; if you don't, hi! I'm reyah, a disabled biracial bisexual artist of many genders. thanks to my chronic illness, i'm unable to work a regular job and rely on donations to pay the bills.

Pledging to my patreon really does help; every dollar i make there is a dollar less I have to beg for each month. But it's May 10th, I make roughly $135/mo after fees, and that has already paid for my dog's vet appointment and both of our medications this month.

That said, I still have $900 in bills this month. $600 of that is just for the car that keeps my household of other disabled queers running. The rest is little bills stacking up into one big boss bill, and I'm already running on half health.

Long-term Reparations for a Black Family

The below write-up is from a previous post I made for Courtney but I copy and pasted it as I'm fatigued and it's still relevant.

For those of you who know my blog, you know my friend Courtney needs support. The reality is it is unlikely that that will change soon given that she is a disabled single mom providing for 3 kids with a low-wage job. I love her dearly and she genuinely struggles every day. I want to make the world better for her. I talk often about the power of community care. Courtney needs this consistently. If you are a non-Black person who is financially secure, please consider giving her reparations every month or biweekly. I will put her paylinks below. To work towards and as an accomplice of Black liberation, you need to be committed.

Currently, her family is struggling with food, getting their water on, and saving for next month's rent. They don't have water at the moment and her son has no clean underwear left. They really need the water back on. The sooner the better. They need 136 more to get the water. If you see this, please send a dollar if possible, or even 50 cents. Small donations add up. I'm about to be homeless...

Mentally ill, out of work, struggling trans girl here. Things have taken a turn for the worse and I am about to be kicked out of my apartment. I was short on rent again, and my housemates had been helping cover me but they have nothing left. We're trying to get an extension on the rent but I'm not sure that's even an option. They're doing what they can but it's going to be extremely tight. They've given me the ultimatum of coming up with the rest of my portion of rent by the end of the week or I'm on the street. It's a lot to ask and I know all of you are paying rent right now too but I'm out of options.
