Audra: “My outfit is primarily thrifted and/or DIY'ed. Today my style is heavily inspired by cult party kei, decora and various j-fashion styles.”
Harley: “I’m wearing a pink blouse from the brand Anna House, and everything else was bought from various thrift stores. I find inspiration In everything, vintage toys, porcelain dolls, the rococo era, but my main inspiration is Japanese street fashion magazines like Fruits, Kera, and Gothic Lolita Bible.”
Beloved Tokyo vintage shop The Virgin Mary - the birthplace of Cult Party Kei, which lead to Dolly Kei & influenced countless Japanese fashion brands and designers - have announced they are closing the shop after a 17 year run. For the first four years they were know as Cult Party, then another thirteen years as The Virgin Mary. It's very sad news for many people in the Japanese fashion scene, since The Virgin Mary is one of the last shops holding together the scene from those days. Official Announcement on Instagram
It's taken me a while to collect this many white pieces in my wardrobe, and I'm really excited I can start wearing a few outfits now. As always just trying to be at the intersection of comfy and cool.
