hey so I've been a casual Dan & Phil fan for years but never really a part of the fandom. Recently started scrolling thru the tag and like...did I miss something? Have they actually said for real for real that they dated? Like I'm queer and tbh 2 gay guys living together for that long have to at least done *something* but I'm not an rpf person (no shade) but I do wanna be up to date on the Dan and Phil facts (phacts?) Obviously they're some kinda soulmates but tbh I know some queerplatonic soulmates who aren't *together* so idk if that's them or not. Am I missing receipts or is their relationship presumed given their whole situationship? Genuinely asking and no shade to your shipping intended.

hiya! i'll try to be succinct here but i might totally miss some things as a heads up :P

In Basically I'm Gay on the Daniel Howell channel, the same monologue that led to the description of them as soulmates also included the statement: "And that was when, through the magic of the Internet, I met Phil. And obviously we were more than friends, but it was more than just romantic [...] The relationship we formed, at that point, was something that I needed in my life." Despite "relationship" being a neutral, versatile term, the preceding sentence confirms they've been in an explicitly romantic relationship. along with that explicit confirmation, we also know from several other relics from 2009-2011 in particular that the two were at the very least actively flirting (I can retrieve a few formsprings for you that point to this if u want just lmk!). Additionally, in 2010, Phil made a privated video addressed to Dan that explicitly confirms a romantic relationship; this video was unprivated via a YouTube glitch in September 2011 and circulated heavily in late 2012. it was a serious incident that outed them and thus people don't talk much about it. I've never seen it in full-- it's pretty much off the Internet entirely due to copyright strikes-- and I really solely bring it up for context that they were dating at that period in time.

Basically I'm Gay only indicates a past romantic relationship, leaving their current one ambiguous, and both Dan and Phil's respective coming out videos state that they want to keep their personal dating lives private (both of these videos were released in 2019). Since then, though, there's one other explicit confirmation of their relationship-- I had a difficult time hunting down this exact interview in entirety, but my lovely mutual freckliedan helped me find the relevant screenshot:

I was able to find another screenshot at this post as well, which has the actual context confirming that they were discussing Phil previous to this. Now, obviously, this interviewer was a little forward in their questions, so I understand any reluctance in considering Dan's response-- however, Dan is a professional, and if he was sincerely uncomfortable with this line of questioning, I have faith in his ability to avoid answering it altogether. I therefore assume he knew what he was doing, and that this can be taken as a valid statement. This was from 2023 iirc.

Both of these excerpts-- from Basically I'm Gay and from this interview-- do suggest that Dan and Phil have a romantic relationship. On top of both of these more concrete confirmations, there's a lot more information/statements they've made public that corresponds with a romantic relationship, even if none of them are technically exclusive to romantic relationships.

A brief list: They've lived together for approximately 13-15 years, and bought a house together with a mortgage (for brevity's sake, I'll exclude other things that kind of pair with this). They make frequent sex jokes on their channel, several of which stating things about the other's sexual preferences. They recently went on holiday together, just the two of them, and given the tourism biz and how they discussed the holiday it seems like they were in a place intended for couples. Phil's sister in law, Cornelia, refers to Dan as an uncle to her child. They use pet names for each other. They frequently joke with the phandom, riffing off of jokes about their relationship (reacting to posts saying they are in a situationship, making a joke about having a joint toilet, etc.) This is most arguable, but it's highly likely that they share a bed as well (again, going off of the images/videos they've shown us of 'Dan's bedroom'). Lastly, other interviews with Dan include him being highly verbose about his relationship with Phil, but he's referred to him briefly as his "husband" in a long list of other words like "soulmates" and "just mates", ending with "who the fuck knows?", in one past interview (I have a picture of this but I can't attach it rn I can find it if you'd like though!)

It's not impossible that Dan and Phil's relationship isn't currently romantic, and even operating off of the assumption that it is, there's information we don't know about that (whether they're monogamous or polyamorous, for example, or whether or not they share a bed). It honestly just seems unlikely that their relationship is queerplatonic, given the past statements indicating that it has been romantic historically and the interview (+ supplemental evidence) suggesting that it currently is (I am very aware of the variation in QPRs, though, so I'm sympathetic to that interpretation from folks. However, I also understand that many explicitly romantic partnerships are considered to be QPRs-- in media or with real people-- in a way that contributes to gay erasure. It's nuanced and I am not the person best equipped to eloquently discuss it). Obviously, just to underscore here, we are not owed any information about their personal lives and the vast majority (if not the entirety) of the phandom just riffs off of the information they tell us, all of which happen to point to a romantic relationship. They clearly don't have any discomfort in us assuming this, and I personally don't believe they'll ever give us any more conclusive statement about their relationship any time soon, given that they've told us enough that the implication of a romantic partnership is pretty solidly there.

TLDR: Dan and Phil have "hard launched" (AKA released information that portrays their relationship as irrefutably romantic) 2-3 times. There is also other more indirect information that seems to confirm a romantic relationship, though if one wanted to, it could be read as non-romantic-- however, given those conclusive statements, and the current way they treat phandom commentary about their relationship (AKA not giving a shit), it is the effective conclusion that they are in a romantic relationship. Other conclusions, such as them being queerplatonic or them having broken up, seem to rely on a lot of critical assumptions, while the idea that they are in a romantic relationship is in line with their own statements as well as what we generally see out of them.

What are some good minecraft series to watch? I've only seen content smp stuff and I wanna see more cool ones :)

i have not watched content smp so i dont know what the vibes are but the main mcyt series we've watched and enjoyed over the years are these ones:

hermitcraft: ten seasons. eleven years. pg. all up on youtube. very laid back and silly but also has a specific brand of insanity you cannot get anywhere else. it looks intimidating from the outside but due to it not having a definitive storyline you can start watching anyone at any time and pick up on things pretty quickly. some of our favorite Hermits include iskall85, xisumavoid, and mumbo jumbo! empires smp: two seasons. three years. pg. all up on youtube. there's more of a focus on lore and roleplay (especially s1) if you're into that, but the server is also full of amazing builders who build amazing things! naturally i recommend pixlriffs for both seasons (s1, s2) because i am insane about that poor little cubito but his s1 pov cuts off early and fwhip has a much more involved viewpoint of the series in both seasons (s1, s2).

speaking of pixlriffs, he has a metric fuck ton of solo series he made up on his YouTube that are amazing. i especially enjoy his one block at a time (minecraft april fools 2022 update) series and his chicken skyblock series with zloyxp! hes very calm and very relaxing but also immensely funny. riffs :)

mianite: two seasons, one spinoff, one technically unrelated series that gets referenced a lot anyways, around 3 years long (?????), not pg, all up on youtube. predecessor to a lot of modern day mcrp (minecraft roleplay) series. i am currently losing it over this one. people usually balk at the series length + relatively unaccessible entry point that kinda comes with its format, but people have made some very good posts about how to solve those problems (will add them later because i cant fucking find them and im tired. @ the 7 other people in this fandom u know what im talking about pls help). would not reccomend starting with this one because it probably wouldnt be worth it. theres themes there tho if you're into those

More Writing Advice - MoaH Edition

I got an message (thank you @doubtfulloser) asking for more writing advice, and I figured I'd try to get some more thoughts on the page. Right now I'm not entirely sure what else to add to my current list as more tangible advice, so I'm going to try instead to summarize the energy I try to get with Mark of a Hero, my current ongoing writing project. This is honestly going to be a little funky to word, so bear with me as I try to capture a vibe. This is also mostly about fanfic, but I've applied similar processes to my original works as well. Again, this is what works for me, but I hope it helps.

MoaH is very roughly outlined for the whole series. I know where the books need to go on three different levels: act arc, book arc, and series arc. Some of these are like. Three bullet points long, but it helps give me a trajectory. It helps too that in writing this specific type of fic (Legend of Zelda original legend/AU/there's no fandom name for this yet), I can benchmark the books by dungeons. Each book of MoaH has an introduction arc, at least three "shrine" arcs, a bonus dungeon arc, and a full dungeon arc. Those can be moved around, mostly, into the order they need to be to keep the books a little more varied. That's also a very pulled back way to look at it, but it definitely can help imagine a five act structure that way.

Also, don't worry as much about stories seeming formulaic. If someone knows there's a formula in storytelling, they'll find it. And in telling a story, you're going to see behind the curtains the most. Of course you will see a formula. But if MoaH is an example of anything, it's that playing with that formula can be part of the story itself too. The story sets up very clearly that Link in MoaH is in fact the Hero. But to everyone in the story, they don't know that. And MoaH plays a lot with expectation. Because the reader has expectations from the series, the characters have expectations from living in the world, and there's still the story being told because the premise of the characters being adults at the start of the story already skews expectation (this is why outfits have a huge role narratively as much as mechanically too).

And, if my other major fic, Goddess of Secrecy, taught me anything, it's that as long as the formula is fun (there were 14 dungeons in that one and people stuck through it), who cares? Sometimes a routine can be comfortable. And there's plenty of storytelling out there. You can be the comfort part of it and let other people write the mindblowing formula breaking stuff. (This will also get me into a tangent on accessibility in fantasy but we need more base expectation media too, particularly for adults to get them back into reading.)

But that was a lot more actual writing advice than I thought I'd get so I need to get back to what I said I'd actually talk about and that's vibes. Generally in writing MoaH, I'm trying to capture the energy of Zelda as close to Nintendo as I can. It's the biggest compliments I've gotten that have told me I've managed that in my stories. It's also the hardest to describe, so I'll try to outline the thought process my story beats go through to make sure they reach that vibe:

First, would Nintendo do it? In general, in any of their franchises, would they tell this kind of story? Usually this forces curbing the level of "maturity" of the story (Nintendo has never gone passed rated M), but it means relying on environmental storytelling and implication in exchange. This is the biggest cutoff of them all, but it also means figuring out ways to be more original with the ideas, and usually leads to better stories. To that point, Nintendo has also been a company that has used ever last bit of their tech to make good games, despite limitations. This moderation strives to do the same.

Second, is it fun? If we want to capture the energy of Zelda, even if it's going to include timeline junk, the core of Nintendo's philosophy has always been "make good game first, good story second." Writing an original Zelda novel then needs to have a similar approach. Is the plot focused on the spirit of exploration first and the enjoyment from exploring that world that the games have or on the larger narrative stuff I'm trying to do? How do we balance that better?

Third, how would it play out in a game? This is harder for MoaH because I don't think it could be a game ever. Not because the mechanics aren't there but because of scale (there are 9 countries). Still, in general application, how would the mechanics of MoaH play out. Using RPGs (western and Japanese) as well as TTRPGs like D&D to track power scaling helps a lot with this. The abilities should never be one to one, but as a reference point, this can help. It can also double back into the previous point, would this be a fun section of a game to play? If not, how do I fix that? It's also important on this point to remember how game plots and book plots are differently driven. Game plots can be paced by the player, book plots have to be paced by the author.

Fourth, honestly, can I picture this happening in an anime? Not to be an absolute massive weeb, but genuinely. Having not read Journey to the West (yet), capturing the energy of Zelda storytelling requires looking at Japanese storytelling. And my closest point of entry on that is anime. On what those stories focus on. And the basis of storytelling in Japan, like the Odyssey is in the west, is Journey to the West. From the Sparksnotes version of that I have, that's a higher emphasis on character(s) and interpersonal growth over the journey itself. There are still obstacles (dungeons) that will result in a journey, but the interactions on your three-to-five-man-band are way more central. This is, again, where RPGs can be good reference points. And it's why MoaH always has multiple named characters in the scene as often as it can.

Finally, maybe surprisingly to be last, does it fit Zelda? I mean lorewise generally with this, mostly because, Nintendo does not care about the lore connections between their games. While the timeline is fun to mess with, it should always be secondary to the narrative being built so that the games can be standalone. MoaH can be standalone, even though it has lore connecting it to my other big fic, GoS, and the timeline. The legends have always been loosely strung together. If it can incorporate the lore of another game, fantastic. But it is always the last concern because lore connections have never been the goal between Zelda games. And it's not the goal with MoaH. And to that point, as a narrative element within MoaH, there is reason to believe that in canon, that lore loss is due to time. How stories change over it, how they get recorded, how they get retold, how they become legends over history.

As a last half point to the previous but that paragraph was massive already, is this relying on a Zelda trope as a crutch or does it add to the story? It's very easy to namedrop a character. It's another thing to make them feel like that character in game. I can call my main duo Link and Zelda all I want. Do they feel like them? How are they still original to their plots? I think with MoaH a lot of folks will get thrown off on this one because it starts rivals to lovers. Zelda hates Link (he did also break into a temple and she currently sees him as a criminal). That's kinda antithetical to their whole eternal love story though. So why? Spoilers, mostly. But a huge part of Zelda's personality is following through with how Nintendo characterized her and how I see her growing up as an adult. Personally, I don't know a spirited, politically conscious, highly empathic femme who didn't grow up to be an angry (justified), politically active, still highly empathic adult. Of course she would be mad at Link for a flagrant disregard for the law and disrespect to a holy cultural site for self-imposed vigilantism. There are laws that need to be fixed, but there are systems to fix them (this is also a chaotic good x lawful good relationship).

There is probably a lot more I could break down on MoaH and its structure but it would inevitably give away the entire books and all the major themes. For now, I think that's all I can say (and this is already a lot), but I'll try to circle back on these points after one of the books is all the way out.

I guess, if anything else, read everything. Genres you like, genres you don't, traditional publications, self publications, fanfic, the gambit. If the goal of art studies is to improve your art, then reading is the closest comparison we have for writing. And also, it's ok to be kinda bad at something. That's where we all start. It's ok to be pop fiction, there's a reason it's popular. The more hoops you add to yourself about how original or stylized a story should be or the kind of reputation it's going to have, the more you're going to get in your own head about whether or not you can tell the story. Someone will always find a way to be judgemental. Don't let that someone be you.

Hey, thought it was probably worth making an intro post.

So... I'm a wannabe writer who only started sharing my work in 2023, so I'm still kind of figuring out the world of online fandoms.

Writing Master List

Fandom wise I mainly write One Piece and Dragon Age stuff. Mainly ZoSan and Fenders to be honest. Which as a point are two wildly different fandom experiences 🤣

However, I am also currently branching out into original characters/fiction - mainly living weapon type stuff to be honest.

What I Like to Write About:

Character Studies and Internal Monologues: I enjoy attempting to delve into a character's mind, having them wrestle with their own demons or dilemmas.

World Building: I love world building, in fact I think I may prefer world building to writing actual narratives... But I can't exactly just share world building - at least I don't think I can...

Canon Divergence and "What If" Scenarios: I think these may be my favourite "tropes" to write, though I am getting into AUs recently.

Day Job: I'm a personal trainer & run coach, who specialises with marathon runners.

Peer Support Worker: I also work in peer support working with people who have experiences of self-harm and eating disorders. (I’m recovered from self-harm and bulimia myself.) I have also done a lot of work with people who have experience of abuse, and have my own history of PTSD.

Hobbies: I have done kendo for 16 years, akiedo for 6 months, and HEMA for a year. I also run.

Mental Health: I have schizoaffective disorder, which means I experience periods of psychosis, mania, and depression. Even when I'm stable, I have auditory hallucinations, my main voice is called Nigel and is essentially my constant irritating companion.

I am very open about my mental health, I've written several blogs under a pen name for charities in the past and often give talks locally about my experiences. So if anyone has questions go for it, if any writers want any info about what it's like to experience hallucinations or mania or whatever also just ask, seriously I'm basically impossible to offend.

I often incorporate elements of my own mental health experiences into my writing. It's the whole "write what you know" thing. After having to drop out of studying post-grad medicine at 22 (after fortunately at least completing my bio-med degree) due to my mental illness, sometimes it does feel like mental illness is "all the know" 😅

I'm back at uni now as a mature student, but studying psychology... So in a way this is still "all I know."

1. List 3 positive things about your current fandom(s)

Yttd: I trully love the people I met through this fandom! Even if I don't talk a lot with them, it is such a fun to see their posts. The analysis about this game are always so interesting and well-thought-through. This game and fandom really saved my creativity and really helped me with my opinion about my own art. I never thought I would draw fanart, but here we are. This fandom is really inspiring.

UT: I really love this fandom, because of AUs. There is a lot of them, but they are so creative and I really like some of them. And they are still going! I still see new ones. They make really funny content too! The memes and funny animations make my day.

E/c: I don't really know what to say about this fandom as I see so little things from it, that I am my biggest e/c fandom. But the people I met that like this game were so nice and their discussions about it are so fun. The sparse fanart is cute and I really need more fanwork in general for this fandom.

6. Something you see in art a lot and love

Yttd: I really love seeing interpretations of characters or events. Yttd is a fandom full of miningful artworks that makes you stop and think "wow, that hits hard" and "wow, my heart bleeds" as with miningful often comes angst. I love seeing headcanons others have and how much fun with characters they have!

UT: I love that a lot of artists draw characters so accurately. You can just look at the artwork and you know what that is for.

E/c: I just love seeing that there is art. There isn't a lot for me to answer this question.

16. A tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate

This question is even harder than the previous one. I don't consider myself a very observant person and I don't think I noticed something that isn't talked about aready. So my answer may be not accurate or it may not even be a real answer lol only my wondering.

Yttd: I think this fandom talks about everything. The details, reactions, traits, even colors. I've never met a fandom this devoted to pick little things. I love it so much. But if I have to think about one thing I don't see much, is actually from the manga. I didn't read it, only looked through the first pages, so I don't know if it is significant later in the manga, but I love that Sara has a matching cat keychain from Joe. I don't know, I just think we should to include it more in art (and not only) as it is such a sweet detail to their friendship.

UT: I can't think of anything here :(((

E/c: Can I pick the whole game as the tiny detail? XD in general, I think this game is not appreciate enough. But one thing that I can think from the game is the trust page. I know it is really obvious one (and not really a "tiny detail"), but I really love how Aether's scale is shown. And I think it was a really good and interesting take of it.

The Legend of Zelda: This is the fandom that introduced me to the internet back in 2019 (I’m a late bloomer, I know- XDDD), and kickstarted me making theories and analyses!

Friday Night Funkin: Hate it or love it, you can’t deny there are some amazing individuals out there! And for you modders out there, this game is actually heavily moddable- and one mod in particular was what caused FNF to blow up in the first place! This is actually the fandom I’m hyper fixating on right now-

Favorites: While they aren’t as important to me as the “crowned” ones, they still managed to hold my attention for a month or so- and that’s something to admire, considering how hyper my brain is!

Animator Vs Animation: This is the fandom that introduced me to Tumblr and AO3 back in the late summer of 2021- don’t worry, @ann-aha, you’re not alone! XDDD

Oh, and I can’t talk about “AvA” without mentioning the rest of the stick figure community! Shout out to Henry Stickmin, Rock Hard Gladiators/Hyun’s Dojo, Hyun, and Gildedguy! :D

Genshin Impact: Contrary to popular opinion, this game isn’t just for “nerds” or people who can afford to splurge thousands of dollars- I managed to complete the current (back then!) storyline as a free-to-player! While I’m not in the fandom anymore, at least give this one a chance?

Undertale: Ah yes, the funny skeleton man fandom /j /lh But seriously, this fandom isn’t all “Sans Fangirls”- just search up animations and artwork! Or, better yet- search up a full play through of the game (I recommend this order for newcomers- Neutral, Pacifist, Genocide) and let the story and gameplay do the talking! ^^

There's just so much AFFECTION between Isabela and Bethany in the party banter, and Bethany gets such a short end of the stick by the narrative that I really had to let her get her world rocked by the swarthy sailor with a heart of gold.

secondly: i wrote this fic before so many things happened! hacks season 2, developing an incurable progressive chronic illness, getting married myself!

my wife rarely reads my fic (they support it fully! including meeting fandom friends on our honeymoon lmaoo luv u [redacted]). but i will occasionally gently ask if they'll take a peek at something, because, well, they're the person that taught me everything i know about love, so it goes into the writing!

it took them a long time to read this fic (or it at least felt like it), but when they did, they sent me a notesapp full of annotated reactions... 6 months later , after a decade together, they proposed in a drivethru.

which is to say: i'm pretty sure this fic is the reason i'm currently married, so it will always be my favorite <3

I don’t want to be rude or anything, but hear me out. Maybe he does this to himself, why? If he was annoyed be it, he would tell people something or anything. Also idk why he won’t tell people on ig story/twitter-hell even xplrclub that he is single, because his silence makes everything even more worse. Yeah there are lots of people who would still think that he is lying at all, but it would make a better sense (ifyk). That man is very attractive, handsome, that’s why girls takes liking to him at some way.

And that’s why when he’s hanging out with some girl always make rumours. And my opinion is, i think colby didn’t meet the right person yet..i feel like these la girls are just using him at some way. Look how every girl he was seen with gained alot of followers/fans, why lmao🤔 because of rumours. I love this man from all my heart but sometimes..i think he does this to himself

i think the reason why colby doesn't constantly say something about being single is bc it would basically be a full time job for him to do so lol

he does occasionally say things, even on xplrclub, about his love life and how he's single. realistically it's not his job to tell us about it or fill us in all the time, which is why he doesn't. i'm always of the belief that he's single until he says otherwise.

but i'll summarize this whole conversation by saying that a lot of the information about who he's "with", so to speak, is just naturally out there. you don't gotta dig to find things. which is also why so many fans CAN talk about his love life so openly. he's not as good of a hider as he thinks. or… the girls he hangs with don't stay quiet for long.

also, respectfully, the boy likes attention. and there ain't nothing wrong with that. he's also ridiculously clever and knows how to distract when he needs to. there's a reason why he drunkenly posted a pic with the girl he's been vibing with currently, removed it, and then posted multiple times that day - including a heavy thirst trap lol

however, i think there's a bigger issue at hand and that is that ppl assume every girl he's with is a gf or soon to be gf. same thing with his following list. he's either going to fuck, has fucked, or is currently fucking any girl he follows. and that's a main problem with this fandom. a lot of the girls he follows are just friends or random women he met at a party that he's just politely following back. ppl make things into bigger deals than they need to be. colby can be friends with single girls. thinking that he can't keep it in his pants is just not true.

if this fandom would just take things at face value, and move on, nothing would seem like such breaking news.

the main issue i have is that by thinking of colby in this way, you basically turn him into a sex doll that fucks anything that moves. you also take away the choice that these women make, or that they were just a conquest to be had. everyone in this situation is an adult that decided to do what they wanted to. but by turning them into just sexual beings, it dehumanizes them. especially with the way a lot of this fandom deals with sexuality and society in general's ideas of purity and whatnot.

there is so much more to that man that i genuinely love to talk about. and i do quite frequently. i'll happily answer asks about him that don't pertain to his love life. i only answer what gets sent in.

Hello All, I've had a blast doing these compatibility/ideal types headcanons, and I have decided that it might be fun to add matchups to the mix. I'm gonna state kinda my thought process with these so if you're able to read through it before leaving a request/matchup ask, I'd greatly appreciate it!

So, I really really wanted to open up match ups and requests and will leave details on each. On each of my platforms, I'll open 10 slots for requests, and 12 for match ups, I'll try to update how many slots are left, Due to working boarderline full time and being a full time student, I really can't afford to put more time into this hobby, even though I'd like to. 

Guidelines:

I will try my very best to accommodate what fandoms are requested, as a general rule if I've written in the fandom before, I'll be good to write in it again. However if I don't have any works posted about it, you can ask, but please link a fandom I have written for as a second option. 

since a whole heaping ton of these fandoms are high-school based, please take the request with either aged-up or aged-down assumption! I won't include anything NSFW in any of the responses. 

Please avoid talking about triggering subjects, I'm fine if you mention your mental health but I realize that this is a neutral space, but if a request or match up involves anything super triggering? I'll either not address it or not write it all together.  I'd like to keep high-key triggers out of this space.

-One last thing, I will not be highlighting sexuality or gender-identity in my writings. For similar reasons people have religious traumas, I've had traumas with people in the LGBTQ+ community. I will not be making any mean comments, but I also will not be taking any hate for it. I am of the firm belief that we are responsible for our own safe-spaces, and this is something I've put in place to keep this place safe for me. If this bothers you, I hope you find some place else that is a better fit for you.

We struggle with self-acceptance at times to please be patient with us. We're doing our best to get out of that mindset but it's not an easy process

Don't be afraid to let us know if someone is problematic! If we reblog from someone unknowingly then letting us know would be greatly appreciated so we can block them and correct our mistake!

SO. Everything’s mostly canon (not cursed child compliant tho lmao), and Harry is officially Master of Death since he was the owner of all three hallows at the same time. This means, essentially, that he is now the personification/god of death.

Since Harry is Harry tho, he doesn’t want to live forever alone, and so his friends and family try to help him find a way to get out of it. There isn’t one. So he is, of course, resigned to living forever alone.

Except his friends decide “no, no thanks, we’re not letting you do this alone.” So when Harry dies and ‘ascends,’ his family and friends choose to ascend with him. He’s able to reach already dead souls using the stone, so Sirius also ends up making the choice to ascend too. The rest of the dead are content staying where they are.

(I have,,,, such a long list of who ascends and what they do and blah blah blah, but I’m not gonna get into it because it is….. so much. It’s truly just so much.)

The important thing is that the way this works is that the universe resets itself every so often, slightly different each time. And certain things carry through, like tales turning into mythos. Harry and his immortal (sometimes reincarnating) family, are the focus of several of these myths, including the harbingers of the apocalypse one.

So when his family meddles, it’s usually with those names, rather than their original ones. Which, when they interact with alternate incarnations of people they know, can cause some shenanigans.

Regulus,,,, listen he is my current blorbo and I just wanted to draw him, ok? The jegulus fandom got its teeth in me and now I’m thinking about Harry Potter stuff again. (Speaking of which! Fuck JKR.)

In this AU, he doesn’t ascend with everyone else, but instead ascends later during a whole thing that I will maybe actually write into a fic. Maybe.

Top left is just the first full body Regulus design I did. Dipping my toes in, you could say. Key things; he’s younger in this. Pre-ascension. He’s wearing slytherin’s locket for plot reasons.

Top middle is the Black brothers with their animagus forms behind them. And yes I made regulus’ a lion. Tbh I think he deserves it. He’s dangerous, lazy, proud, sneaky, and at the end he was really, really brave. I know lots of people make him a house cat, but like. If Sirius can have his star’s namesake as an animagus form, so can regulus.

Below that, we have Regulus saying “Potter?” While looking shocked. I won’t elaborate too much on this for plot reasons (in case I write the fic), BUT, this is the moment that he learns that Lily Luna is a Potter.

To the right of that is the brother hanging out and being cute and I love them. I just want them to reconcile and talk and be family again 😭. Also I want Sirius to have 100 little gay pins for his leather jacket. He deserves it.

Bottom left is Lily Luna and Regulus together. I this AU on particular, Regulus has a mentor/mentee and uncle adjacent relationship with her. They are cute, and I love them, and I won’t hear otherwise, sorry not sorry.

Bottom right is the only doodle I will give spoilers for. It’s post-ascension, where Regulus, Sirius, LilyLuna, and Teddy are all about to wreck some shit. The rest of the family jokingly calls them the “Grim Squad”, because all of them go out and hunt down wayward or death cheating souls. So if you see them, you’re their target, and will die. Just like the Grim thing.

This is a self indulgent au, and idk if I’ll write it, but maybe I’ll elaborate on it more here if anyone is actually interested. Either way, I’m just happy I had the motivation to draw this 😌

Shion, my beloved; the androgynous sub-boss of King of Fighters XI, he uses multiple weapons including a rope-dart, chinese spear, meteor hammer, and can punch air so hard it turns into a projectile. he often quotes Sun Tzu's Art of War, knows tons about cooking, and loves eating delicacies. currently wandering some kind of weird extradimensional space after his boss tried to kill him (he got revenge tho >:3 he can have little a murder, as a treat.)

Sabrina/Natsume (left) in the Pokemon anime had psychic powers so strong she splintered her personality into a grown-up half and a child half, both of which were able to exercise their own wills independently (the latter via a doll). she was scary, but eventually became more lighthearted and rejoined her split halves thanks to a goofy Haunter.

Duo Maxwell (center) is many things: orphan, gifted mechanic, and self-proclaimed God of Death--which is why he's the pilot of the Deathscythe, a grim-reaper-esque mecha. he witnessed a lot of death early in life, to the point that even his first and last names connect him to people close to him who died

Makoto/Lita Kino (right) is Sailor Jupiter; she's strong, tall, tomboyish, and self-sufficient after the loss of her parents. Her lightning attacks are powerful, but her sense of justice is even more so. She has a cute side, too, and gets flustered when someone calls her feminine. >:3

Cho Hakkai (left), problematic fave #1. the mom friend, and a stepford smiler who took a correspondence course in lockpicking, he's atoning for incest and mass-murder by....doing more mass-murder, but the gods told him it was cool this time. to be fair, he's mostly a healer now, as well as the party's designated driver (his dragon, named Jeep, turns into a Jeep).

Yuuko Ichihara (right) is a space-time witch who grants wishes. i want to say more but instead i'll just plead with you to read the xxxHolic manga (and read/watch Tsubasa -RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE- for the full experience, since they have some story linkage).

Count D gets two images for a little gallery because look at this freak. gorgeous. the way they move in the OVA is fantastic. genderless sugar-addicted ecoterrorist; what's not to love??

Vincent Valentine (left) is a gunslinger who can transform into a fanged monster and chooses to sleep off his depression in a coffin, but he's not a vampire. that's just how it is sometimes. he even joins the hero party without doing anything to fix his bed hair.

Kimimaro (center) has a bloodline ability that lets him utilize his bones as weapons. As a child, he was kept in a cage and only released for combat, despite his gentle nature. Orochimaru (the series' first main antagonist) found him after his clan was wiped out, and took him in; being valued by Orochimaru gave him purpose, and he fights like a zealot as a result... (;A;)

Alphys (right) is a cringefail otaku lesbian lizard who, nevertheless, is a brilliant scientist. she created Mettaton's mechanical body, after all. we don't need to talk about her other works. :) really. :) :) :)

Welcome to my blog! It's a blog!

I'm gonna be posting fandom stuff, mostly, along with probably some vague ramblings about things that aren't directly fandom related! I also don't know how much/quickly stuff is gonna be posted, especially at first, I need to figure out my followed tags and accounts, find stuff to post about, etc

(Actual info, including fandoms and abt me below the cut!)

(Here's the short of it: Good Omens, Hazbinverse, MCYT, I use he/they and some other pronouns, no specified DNI, please use tone tags, and I have some fun tags! Oh also, I tend to ramble, as evidenced by this post right here)

My active fandoms: Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss, Good Omens, working my way into Death Note, MCYT (i do not support Dream nor do i consider myself a "DSMP fan" anymore, but still have an interest in MCYT content as a whole and fandom content surrounding it!)

I also may end up posting/reblogging some stuff from older fandoms/hyperfixations that I don't really engage in actively anymore, but cross my mind from time to time! (lookin' at you, Voltron)

What about me?: I use it/he/they/xey pronouns, nonbinary transmasc etc etc. I'm very much so neurodivergent and my hyperfixations tend to come in waves of two flavours: ramblings that are genuinely completely incoherent, and full on multi-thousand blocks of analysis text. Both of those will be making their way into this blog! I also have a tendency to swap rapidly between more formal typing styles and much much more informal and casual typing, depending on the tone of the post, so be prepared for that inconsistency! I am also auDHD, so please do use tone tags! I have a tendency to misunderstand tone and may end up asking for clarifications either way, so it's a good way to start!

This is very much gonna be a catch-all for any of my brain thoughts about fandom stuff, and I'm probably not going to bother with a queue, so things are just going to HAPPEN in bursts. I operate in EST but have a really ridiculous sleep schedule, so post times are inconsistent either way. I'm planning on including word counts on posts longer than one "block" of text!

Oh, also, I don't really have a DNI I plan to enforce? Don't come on here if you're, like, a bigot, or gonna harass people about shit they can't control, but I do also block freely. So, I'm not gonna tell you not to come in here, but I post what I post and you post what you post, so if I happen to click on your blog and see something that doesn't sit right with me, I'll go from there (do remember, though, that DNIs go both ways! If I see that something in your DNI, assuming you have one, includes me, I'll also block you then!)

One last thing: tags! I have them! I like being able to organize my stuff on here, so I try to keep several tags that will direct you to the specific stuff you want to see. All posts will also have the appropriate general fandom tags, so you can also go through there.
