A Meeting in Limbo

The Judge woke with a start after a nightmare had settled into his dreams. Claws out, ears perked and fur standing on end, he looked about the room, only finding his dear friend Zacharie sound asleep in a sleeping bag against the far wall. Still tense, The feline stood and shook the blankets he slept in off and stretched.

Yet another nightmare where grotesque creatures came into his zone and tried to kill Sugar and Zacharie. In every one of those dreams the beasts only targeted the two humans, and paid no mind to the Judge, despite his desperate attempts to dispatch them. Normally they ended with the two being brutally murdered or maimed... He used to dream the same of his brother Valerie, but they have recently changed... Possibly due to his attachment to the two that he's developed now.

The Judge suddenly felt claustrophobic. He wanted to get out of Zone 0, at least for a few moments. He didn't know where exactly he'd go; perhaps he'd just rest in the vast limbo that is the Nothingness for a while. Maybe he'd wander about the Wastes. Or perhaps he'd even try file hopping. Whatever he did, he took a small handful of items with him, a few Fortune Tickets, Jokers and one or two Silver flesh, just to be on the safe side.

It didn't take the feline too long to reach the ground floor and arrive at the Red Cube. Lightly pawing at it, the Judge was soon transported into the Nothingness.

Im sorry to inform you this but, the judge, he passed away.

The Player inhaled sharply, eye wide in horror. Their hands began to shake, lips quivering, tears filling their eyes.

"D…de…dead!?" they could hardly believe what they had heard. They adored the Judge, they loved him, "N….no….no. I…it cannot be…..it cannot be….."

Tears dribbled down their cheeks. As they spoke, their voice grew more and more distorted due to the overwhelming grief.
