Alright I'm here to abuse my status of having a somewhat decent following of cat appreciators to talk about this nice little browser game
Because they're in beta and usually closed, but they're opening for new players from Fri June 23rd at 18:00 to Sun June 25th at 18:00 server time (which is conveniently displayed right at the top of the page)
Someone might remember this game from the competition, because we had a competitor from there, but ANYWAY I've been playing this game since February and just want to share in case anyone else wants to check it out!!
So, meet Nestor
Nestor is a giant moose with many floating eyes who came to Earth and took not-cats (basically hyper-sentient cats that still very much act like cats) to their home world, and that's where the game starts. You create your own cat (lots of genetics options and various pronouns!) and start your own village!! There's actually some deep and we'll thought-out lore going on, still in development.
Every day there are tasks you may do: check up on Nestor for a free daily gift which might include a cat or a kitten to adopt; feed your cats to increase their stats; make kitties do some jobs like gathering, hunting, even arts and crafts! to get resources; do daily scenarios which are basically very wholesome textual kitty interactions which can go different ways depending on your choice and give you a reward or intercat relationship change (they can have different options available based on the cats personalities!!!); check mail to see if anyone's sent anything; and they're going to implement something with magic at some point because the game is still in development!!!
Some fun scenarios I got just today:
This game also has such mechanics as something like a tabletop rpg adventure you do to get rewards, decorating your village, building stuff that unlocks new jobs and perks, electing a mayor or having your cats bote for one, getting your cats to become friends, enemies, partners and having or adopting little kitties!! Also there's tons of clothes to dress your cats up in.
Like this rainbow mustache I got from Nestor on April Fool's!
A rabbit! Or a whole bunch of pigeons!!!
And there's a whole shop (in-game currency) dedicated to pride-themed clothes!
And other things. I actually probably have no idea about half the things you can do, but there's a lot of guides! The game has so much to it while being super-chill! Perfect for, say, commute, or just taking a break from stuff. Oh, and there are also seasonal events (in-game seasons are shorter than irl ones) which can give you unique stuff and collectables!
Some resources I really like for their cat puns (also each season you can get different resources):
Oh, and also there are forums and an entire extremely friendly community there! There's a thread where you can share pics of your irl cats, and a not-cat roleplay one, and lots of others! And they have very fun emotes, here's some examples:
I'm trying not to go on about it for ages, but stuff just keeps coming to mind! Anyway, it's definitely worth checking out!

Breaking my hiatus to say I'm alive (sorta) and to post a cute little Jon/Leo that I couldn't get out of my mind. Disappearing again in a cloud of smoke.
-------------------------------------------------------
The holidays, while pleasant, had taken a toll.
On Jonah the blow had been more an emotional one than physical, despite the fact nerves had made him sick all through the trip and the vertigo episode he had sported. Leo, on the other hand, had decided to take his damage entirely in his shitty immune system.
He had started to complain about feeling cold-then-warm on the trip back and it had been much to Jon's dismay he realized thirty minutes later that the blonde was burning up a fever. Not high enough he had to worry about changing routes from their home to the hospital, but high enough that Leo felt uncomfortable as hell.
By the time they parked in the garage and Leo stumbled out of the car with the grace of a geriatric patient, Jonah was feeling tired enough and relieved enough to be home that he was moving almost at the same snail pace.
"What hurts?" He had yawned, leaning his head back against the elevator, stomach grumbling with hunger.
"Uhm," Leo rubbed angrily at his face, pressing the heel of his hand to his eye, "headache... Stomachache... Body ache..."
"What doesn't hurt?" Jonah teased him lightly, only to receive a glare in return and then a scoff as Leo said "my hair."
Jonah rolled his eyes at the answer, planting a hand in the middle of his boyfriend's back and rubbing it up and down. It was more for his benefit than Leo's, because he doubted the other man could feel anything through the many layers of coats they were wearing.
Once home, finally with a decent thermostat and having stripped down all clothes, Jonah curled up on the couch, phone in hand, "you said stomachache," he said and Leo, lying face down in the opposite couch and with his feet hanging out of the cushions, let out a little noise to show he was listening, "how so? Gonna be sick stomachache? Cramps? Need to go to the bathroom stomach-"
"Jonah, less this," Leo raised a hand and opened and closed it a bunch of times to mimic someone blabbing, before smacking his fingers closed "and more of this."
"I'm ordering food, you prick," Jon scoffed, moving on the couch he was occupying and brushing the hair out of Leo's forehead, "I wanna know what you think you can handle."
"I'm not nauseous," Leo shrugged, "my stomach just hurts... And so does everything else."
"Okay, so soup for you, yakisoba for me," Jonah decided and heard the blonde let out a scoff at the discrepancy of their orders. He didn't bother commenting, absently minded continuing to pet Leo's hair as he filled in the online form.
As their order arrived, Jonah all but lunged for food. Again, it was uncommon, but he had stripped all politeness at the door. He was starving.
Meanwhile, Leo sat up with a groan and glared at his bowl of soup, pushing it around with a spoon, "I'm not hungry."
"Eat," Jonah glared at him, gesturing with his chopstick, "can't take the fever meds on an empty stomach."
"Ugh," Leo wrinkled his nose, sipping on the soup and then leaned his head back, settling for simply holding the warm bowl, "I'm worried."
"About Luke?" Jonah guessed, digging in his chinese box and fighting the urge to let out a pleased noise. He was almost regretting not getting more food.
Leo hesitated, then shrugged, "I mean, yeah, about him too... But no, I meant Vin."
"Why?" Jonah frowned, "he's the one planning to leave, I'm worried about Wendy, not him."
His boyfriend rolled his eyes at that, saying in a bitter voice "well, of course you are. Wendy this, Wendy that-"
"Leo."
The blonde's mouth snapped shut, pressing in a thin line of displeasure and he stirred the soup again, "whatever. Vince is my best friend and he doesn't- Vince doesn't lie and hide things, okay? Vin is an open book."
Jonah didn't like one bit the implications of the "my" in that phrase, as if Vince wasn't his best friend as well, but he lets it slide, opting for simply shrugging, "I guess he does when he knows telling the truth will have everyone and their mother up his ass."
Leo snorted at that, then took another spoonful of soup and dropped the spoon back down with a clank, grimacing and planting the bowl on the coffee table "this tastes horrible."
Jonah moved on the couch in order to dip a chopstick in his boyfriend's soup and then frowned, shaking his head, "tastes great."
"You eat it then," the blonde curled up again, wrapping an arm around his stomach and looking at the ceiling, "I miss my cat."
"Our cat," Jonah corrected, then poked the other man's ribs, "baby, just a bit more, okay? If you take meds with nothing in your stomach it's going to make you super nauseous."
"As opposed to what?" Leo scoffed, rubbing his stomach lightly, "I already don't feel well, if I eat anything else I'm gonna hurl, Jon."
"Great," Jonah groaned, then moved forward even more, in order to push the hair away from Leo's eyes and stroke his cheek, "shower then bed it is, let's hope it brings the fever down on its own... We can try food later."
"We cannot," Leo moved a hand up, muffling a little burp with his palm and forcing himself standing up. He swayed slightly on his feet, but then raised both hands in a triumphant manner, "see? No need to go all doctor on me."
Jonah couldn't help but smile at the little jab, settling back in the couch he was occupying all on his own, "sure, sure, shower before you collapse Leo."
"I'm touched by the concern," Leo grumbled as he walked away and Jonah happily leaned back against the cushions, finishing up his yakisoba and then a bit of Leo's soup in order to actually feel satisfied.
He expected Leo to be in bed by the time he cleared up the dishes and turned off the lights, but it was much to his dismay that he found his boyfriend still in the bathroom.
"What are you doing on the ground?" Jonah frowned, leaning against the sink and staring.
Leo's baby blue eyes were more than a little drowsy, struggling to focus on him, but his tone was coated in pure unmitigated bitchiness, "Reenacting Saltburn."
"That would require me having done things in the tub that I have not," Jon chuckled, stepping closer, "lost your balance?"
"Uhm..." Leo leaned against his hand as Jonah touched his shoulder, steadying him up. He was wearing just his soaked boxers and trembling like a puppy, pink tinging his cheeks, nose and even his eyes a little bit, "started to wash my hair and next thing I knew I was on the ground, so I thought best to stay put for a bit."
"You couldn't have called for me?" Jonah sighed, touching Leo's forehead and hissing at the heat. The fever had definitely gone up, if only just a little.
"I knew you'd come here eventually," Leo's voice was getting more drowsy, "would miss me."
"Alright love," Jonah chuckled at that, "are you alright? You're sounding a little out of it... Did you hit your head?"
"I'm fine," Leo forced his eyes open once more, mustering up the clarity that was clearly slipping from him, "I'm fine, I just got a little dizzy."
"Because you have nothing in your stomach, Leo," Jonah looped an arm around his torso, "help me here-" and then pulled the other man up.
Leo was not a small man, a fact that Jonah forgot regularly despite knowing every inch of his body. He let out a startled noise when Leo's dead weight nearly sent them both flat to the ground, muscles straining to keep them from falling.
"You're so skinny, how are you so heavy?" Jon groaned as they stepped around the bathroom, the blonde's long-ish soaked hair splashing water everywhere.
"Muscle is heavy," Leo said smugly, burying his face in Jonah's shoulder and allowing them to stumble into the bedroom, "unlike you, I didn't quit gym after college."
"I exercise," Jonah huffed, offended, and deposited Leo on the bed, "I'm gonna give you some tylenol, I don't trust this fever."
"What happened to can't-take-tylenol-without-food?" the blonde mumbled, burying his head on the pillow and letting out a pitiful whine.
"You think you can handle at least two of my vertigo biscuits?" Jonah pressed a kiss to his boyfriend's temple, unable to stop himself when Leo looked so damn adorable.
"I don't know... Don't think so..." He groaned, making puppy eyes "please just come to bed with me?"
"In a second, baby," Jonah sighed, rubbing his arm up and down, "I need you to take the meds, okay? At least that."
"H'mkay..." Leo rolled on his back, rubbing his chest uneasily, "sorry, you must be so tired as well, you shouldn't be..."
"Shush," Jonah glared at him, digging through the medicine drawer, "have you taken your meds?"
"When we got home," Leo yawned, nodding, letting his eyes slip closed, "my immune system is such a cock blocker, I wanted to have fun."
Jon chuckled, surprised, and held out a pill for Leo, as well as his water bottle, "this is a 24 hours bug, darling, I'm sure. We can have fun tomorrow," he promised, watching his boyfriend make a face as his throat complained the swallowing motion, the pill dissolving slightly and turning bitter.
"Is it ever a 24 hour thing with me?" Leo pouted, curling up and grabbing the front of Jonah's shirt, pulling him with all his force, "at least get in bed with me."
"I need to shower-"
"You really don't," Leo grumbled, wrapping an arm around Jon's neck and then koala hugging him when his boyfriend lost his balance, "much better."
"I'm not a weighted blanket," Jonah grumbled, his voice muffled by Leo's naked shoulder, "let me go."
"Nu-uh," Leo sighed happily, body moving under his in order to get more comfortable and hugging Jon even tighter, "this helps."
Jonah rolled his eyes, but didn't dare moving, despite the fact it was a really weird position. He slumped his weight, squirming slightly until his cheek met Leo's chest instead, then pressed a kiss there.
"Clingy," he sighed, closing his eyes as Leo started to play with his hair, unwrapping and wrapping a curl over and over around his finger.
A couple minutes later he felt Leo's hands cease moving, whole body going slack and Jonah didn't even bother moving, far too sleepy and comfy.
