For the record I love Bernard & timbern so much, I don't know much about timkon so I don't really ship it and I don't know anything about Jay (I had to google his name to make this) but I'm glad there are actually confirmed gay people in something with such a huge fan base.

That being said why did they do it like that? The fans really wanted timkon and/or damijon so DC decided to go half and half and do that instead?

A while ago, I saw a post or maybe fic that posited Tim using his vigilante voice as a dom, and you know what? That tracks for me. It's his "I'm in command of things, I'm leading people through the situation at hand" voice.

For the same reason, I think other bats would do the same thing (though I don't see many of them as doms). Tim might lean into it harder, because he's a master compartamentalizer, but I can definitely see adult Damian using his Batman voice on adult Jon (they're going to get married someday, your honor, I don't make the rules).

However, I ship both Damian/Jon and Tim/Conner, and that means, some day in the future when they're both staying at Wayne Manor at the same time, both couples might be messing around in their own rooms. Which should be normal and fine. In fact, it will be normal and fine for whichever of them starts first, because I'm assuming Kryptonians learn how to ignore their super-hearing off when they're busy with something.

On the other hand, whichever super brother starts second has a good chance of overhearing what's going on in the other room. And that's one hell of a way to discover your partner and his brother share a domming style.

It's an even worse way to find out you and your brother respond the same way.

Which one would you like to see more in a fanfic?

The idea of Jon being awed by the meanest Hufflepuff in class sounds fun to me. Students of other houses fear Damian. He’s highly talented and is crazy good in duels. Some students have learned to never mess with magical creatures or his fellow Hufflepuffs (Damian is fiercely protective of them). Cross him and he’s not above kicking your butt and / or making you grovel (literally and figuratively). At first Jon didn’t get why Damian is wearing yellow, but once he knows Damian enough he learns that Damian is indeed very Hufflepuff. Damian might deny it and say that the Sorting Hat had made a grievous mistake and he has developed a revenge plan against a darn hat.

The Hufflepuff common room is Damian’s safe haven (it’s super cozy it looks like a Hobbit hole!)

His favorite class is Beasts Class / Care of Magical Creatures. His greatest enemies are poachers (This works for Slytherin Damian too).

Slytherin Damian I imagine would make for a fun rivals to friends dynamic. He’s someone who’s proud of his house and heritage, often mentioning his family. He’s very popular among his fellow Slytherins. Before they were friends, he would pass Jon in the hall with that signature smug look of his while surrounded by his very own Slytherin entourage. He’s good at everything and his rivalry with Jon in and outside classes and in Quidditch is driving Jon crazy. Classic Gryffindor vs Slytherin until Jon keeps discovering Damian’s soft sides and begins to understand him better than anyone in Damian’s own house. They eventually became best friends.

if anyone was wondering, damijon in my mind is:

10-year-old Jon develops a little crush on the older Damian. Jon age-up happens, it’s been like 6 years now, he does NOT have a crush on Damian anymore. BUT, Damian starts to see Jon in a new light. Damian develops feelings for him without knowing, and he falls HARD. Damian doesn’t realize that what he feels for Jon is love for the LONGEST time. He gets to wait even longer, though, cause Damian has to live with these feelings for the rest of his life!! Yay!!!
