Life isn’t about what we’re building, it’s about who we’re building it with. If all you’re doing is building your life and not focusing on the people in it, then why are you building it? Over the past year, I’ve struggled with keeping and making friends. I’ve convinced myself that I’m not in a place in my life where I can make time for friends. Well, if I’m building this life all alone? Then what is it worth? Why would I want to build something and then have no one to share it with? I know how much fun it can be and how motivating it can be to hustle, hustle, hustle everyday. But if all you’re doing is hustling and building a business, then what are you sacrificing? At the end of the day, do you want to be remembered for the business decisions you made or the relationships you formed? I’ve always loved the word ‘Legacy’ because it reminds me that life isn’t about the money or the hustle, it’s about the people I’m impacting. 1 year ago, I was lost, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. Anxiety haunted my every turn and depression was coming and going. I had a blog that I loved but I was struggling to find direction for it. None of my posts went together, I had no vision for the future. I was just writing what was on my heart that day. Today, I’m in a totally different mindset. Anxiety still haunts me everyday but depression doesn’t come as often. My blog has changed even more than I have. I’ve spent the past week brainstorming and planning how to take my blog to the next level and I’m so excited about everything that I’m working on. You have no idea how much I want to talk about all of it with you. As someone who goes through bouts where I’m completely unmotivated to do anything, the excitement and determination that I’ve been feeling about all of this is unreal.
