So. So the earth element is connected to dark magic right. And Cole is the Earth Elemental. So I present to you dark sorcerer Cole who's been spending years training under Clouse on Chen's island. He got kidnapped when he was a kid because he had lots of potential or something. He's like half insane with no morals. Chen and Clouse have been gaslighting and emotionally manipulating him for years. The ninja meet him for the first time and drag him into the team because "oOH cute boy"

the characters are students at monster high and are all different monster species! here’s the ghoul squad (+ some other main characters), nicknamed the ninja by teachers, under the cut:

characters in brackets are who they’re replacing (some have two characters they’re replacing) + info about ships

zane julien: the new ghoul at school. a robot, he can remove his limbs at will (frankie stein/abbie bominable, pixane (pixal x zane))

jay walker: a 1600-year-old anxious, jumpy and somewhat impulsive vegan vampire (draculaura, plasmashipping (kai x jay))

cole brookstone: the overprotective and brave werewolf of the ghoul squad. fashion designer (clawdeen wolf, lost/geodeshipping (cole x geo))

lloyd garmadon: a normie-presenting (a normie is a human in the monster high universe) dragon-oni-human hybrid who initially bullies zane but gradually grows close to him (cleo de nile, aromantic-asexual lloyd, platonic garmagoths (lloyd, harumi and morro))

kai smith: a fire elemental-water monster hybrid (more fire elemental than water monster) and nya’s brother (clawd wolf/heath, plasmashipping)

nya smith: a fire elemental-water monster hybrid (more water monster than fire elemental), the school’s champion swimmer and kai’s sister (lagoona blue, amber phoenix (nya x skylor))

harumi jade: a boogeyman tomboy lesbian biker girl. a good friend of lloyd’s. that’s all i have to say for harumi (deuce gorgon, platonic garmagoths, her and lloyd aren’t dating in this AU)

geo goyle: a gargoyle from screamtaro (the AU equivalent of shintaro) who was shunned for being a hybrid of a geckle and a munce gargoyle (rochelle goyle/neighthan rot, lost/geodeshipping)

p.i.x.a.l. borg: a matchmaking bone elemental-robot hybrid who runs the school’s relationship advice radio show with her boyfriend (c.a. cupid/robecca steam, pixane)

morro: a ghost and the co-manager/co-writer of the school gossip page, the ghostly gossip. one of lloyd’s good friends along with harumi (spectra vondergeist, citrusshipping (morro x echo zane), platonic garmagoths)

echo zane julien/mr. e: a frankenmonster and co-manager/co-writer of the ghostly gossip. when angered, he transforms into mr. e, an overprotective biker. zane’s brother (jackson jekyll & holt hyde, citrusshipping)

vania: a plant monster-ghost hybrid and former princess of screamtaro before she moved to monster high after the whole skull sorcerer thing (venus mcflytrap)

chen the cheerleader: the overconfident and arrogant werecat leader of the fearleading (cheerleading) squad (toralei)

sora: a tortured teen werecat pop star from imperium who eventually joins the ninja with her best friend arin (catty noir)

arin: a boogeyman who, with sora, joins the people he idolised the most (twyla boogeyman)

sensei wu: the dragon(ish) headmaster of monster high (headmistress bloodgood)

misc ships in the AU: nightshade (chamille x tox) and dark thinking (neuro x shade)

Villain AU

So basically this AU just follows canon but every time the ninja gets corrupted, something goes wrong and they stay corrupted.

Nya was the first one to get corrupted due to having dark matter inside her longer than the others. After the defeat of the overlord, they thought that she was cured but the dark matter that had been docile the entire time appeared once more when she became one with the ocean.

Kai got turned when he took the staff of elemental from Chen, he was corrupted by power and the longer the staff stayed in his hand, the more corrupted he became to the point a voice manifested within his mind which was revealed to be the ego of the corrupted staff.

Lloyd got corrupted when Morro possessed him. Something went wrong with the possession and Morro's ego was merged with Lloyd, causing him to grow resentment towards Wu since Morro didn't forgive him in this AU.

Tino got corrupted when the organization managed to take control over him but instead of doing what he was ordered, the chip fired his brain and left him with a psychopathic mentality.

When Zyro was being threatened by Harumi, she had attached something onto Zyro's stone in order to control them but instead, it made them merge with their dragon form and send them to a rampage.

Zane got stuck as the Ice Emperor since Jay and Cole couldn't bring him back with just them and Nya was fighting the dark matter within her which was starting to act up.

During Prime Empire, the three remaining ninja lost Jay since he had forced his way into the game's code, becoming the Emperor of Prime Empire.

Due to this development, he became a glitch in the world and sometimes traveled between the game and reality, kidnapping players.

With only Cole and Nya, they made their way to Shintaro but after Vangelis was defeated, the skull abandoned him and possessed Cole instead.

Due to his growing sense of hopelessness over the loss of his teammates, the skull won over Cole and he became the new Skull Sorcerer.

With only Nya left, she eventually gave up hope and became one with the ocean after Kalamaar's attack.

Fun Fact:

- The first letter of their names got changed to V so that it doesn't get confusing during annual dimensional gatherings. So Vino, Vai, Vole, Vay, Vya, Vane, Vloyd. Only Zyro's name was changed to Cygnus since that's what the Tino of that world called them

- Vino, Cygnus and Vai is an item in this AU

- Vino was the one who amputated Vloyd when his brain got fried by the chip during a sparing session

- Vay talks with lots of static in his voice so barely anyone can understand him most of the time, he goes to a speech therapist after reformed~

- Vole is still a glutton in this AU and has luscious long hair

- Vya can't talk and drowns people when she's upset

- Vane's that one character that always give silent judgemental look when his family is being idiots

- They all go to therapy after being reformed

- Vino's gun has explosive bullets so he likes to trap his victim in a forcefield after shooting at them and boom! Roasted victim

- Vya smacked Vane one time for freezing the ocean

- Vino and Cygnus was the first one to appear before Tino and his family and pretty much chased them through dimensions

- Vole hates cake

- Vai still have the voice in his head even after the staff was broken

McCree survives by knowing which rules to break and which to obey and when to do the opposite of what he usually does. Dangerous things stay dangerous because they can change - he knows this all too well.

Jesse is in a large, open room with a high ceiling full of exposed wooden beams and what looks like straw mats spread out on the floor.  Some of the walls are solid, others are made of paper.  Words come to Jesse to unbidden like memories that aren’t his own.  Dojo.  Tatami.  Shoji.  The characters on the pillars are kanji.    

Jesse is in Japan.  Parts of him, anyway.

There are people lingering along the edges of the room.  There are two figures in the center, one of them older with his eyes flashing eerie red, black hair greying at his temples.  In front of him is a boy about Jesse’s age— seventeen.  Eighteen, maybe.  He’s kneeling with his eyes downcast, long hair pulled up into a messy bun, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.  His clothes are hanging down off his left shoulder to expose an intricate tattoo, dragons and storm clouds and lightning in blue and grey and gold.  

He’s beautiful like nothing Jesse has ever seen, a tangle of contradictions.  He looks delicate.

He looks powerful.

He’s breathtaking and he’s afraid and oh, fuck.

He’s Jesse’s.

Teeth curve long out of his jaw, and his body rolls into the half-shift all on its own. Ears pricked, tail sprouting from the base of his spine, eyes lit up red. Hanzo is doing no better.

His eyes are black, pupils blown wide, nothing but a thin ring of gold set in an impossibly dark sclera. Jesse watches Hanzo’s horns lengthen, watches his claws extend. Watches his cheeks turn red, even more pronounced against the blue of his skin.

Everything goes sideways, as Jesse always expected it would.

It just doesn’t go sideways the way he expected.

Jesse had been ready for a fight.

Hanzo’s reply is drowned out when the hunting party crashes through the foliage behind him and the screaming begins.

1. A World With You

Summary: Tristan Trevelyan is sullen and grim, a frown almost permanent on his face. Years of running from the bounty hunters his family sent after him can do that to a man. When a certain mage from Tevinter joins the Inquisition, Tristan finds the one person that seems able to crack his somber facade. 

This is my ongoing Inquisition longfic, featuring my Inky Tristan Trevelyan and Dorian Pavus. It’s the longest fic I’ve written to date, and the one I’ve invested the most time and effort in. It’s 27 chapters in at the moment, and it’s got lots of fights, intrigue, angst, poetry, awkward flirting, and besotted boys being in love :)

2. Viper In Tall Grass

Summary: Tristan of Toussaint is a witcher, his life dedicated to following the Path of the Viper. It is curiosity more than anything that leads him to Emperor Emhyr var Emreis's court. That is where he meets Dorian Pavus, lead sorcerer and advisor to the crown of Nilfgaard, and his life as he knows it changes for good. They say that destiny is inexorable. Tristan is starting to see the wisdom in that saying.

This is a three chapter fic I wrote as a prequel to the Witcher AU @solas-disapproves​ and I have been working on! I love the way it turned out, and I can’t wait to write more of the boys falling in love and getting into trouble in an entirely new setting, and adventuring with Solas and @solas-disapproves​ ‘s OC Maori!

3. As-yet-untitled Modern AU (place holder title EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE, I SWEAR)

This is a Modern AU me and my friendo @oftachancer​ have been writing featuring my OC Tristan and her OC Aran Trevelyan. Tristan and Aran are childhood friends who’ve had a crush on each other for years but neither of them knew, until they finally go to Ostwick Uni. And things get… tangled. :)

I have fallen hopelessly in love with these boys. I can’t stop thinking and writing about them. They have an amazing and complicated relationship, and it’s just so much fun exploring it. Also: PROFESSOR DORIAN. BARTENDER ANDERS. ASTRONOMY AND MATH STUDENT COLE. AUTHOR AND JOURNALIST VARRIC. DETECTIVES CULLEN AND RYLEN. HAWKE, FENRIS AND THEIR MABARI. NEED I SAY MORE.

I love those two so much. So, so much. I’ve written two one shots exploring their relationship after the end of Season 2 and around the beginning of Season 3: Nothing But Himself and To Build A Home.

5. You Always Hurt The Ones You Love: Hector x Carmilla

I’ve written two one shots in this series ( Loyal To The End and The Wound That Never Heals). They’re both very dark and grim, and they contain themes I’d never explored before, like mentions of physical/emotional abuse, Stockholm Syndrome, emotional manipulation, etc. Oh, and angst. So much angst. They were challenging to write as I didn’t want to romanticise Carmilla’s awfulness, but I love them both, and I’m very proud of them (if I may so myself).

hey, i made Kai a sorcerer. (MAGASHB AU) (or: Magic, Angel, Ghost, Artificial, Snake, Half-breed, Breath)

Kai is actually a sorcerer, as in he has a ton of knowledge in magic and is very powerful. The thing is: he keeps that a secret. So people think he’s just the master of fire and easy prey due to his hotheadedness, but then he just summons an army of giant phoenixes and goes on with his day. Nobody knows about it except Nya, Lloyd and the other ninja. The magic Kai uses is usually either neutral(fire) or dark.

Also, everyone is hiding something from Wu, who has no idea about any of this.

Jay has black wings on his back due to a mutation caused by him wielding more than one element at once(he has wind too) and is a little more dragon and oni than he should be. Also Morro follows him around, teaching him about how to control wind.

Zane always knew about being a robot. The falcon is his pet. Wu never knew about him.

Cole is part serpentine(anacondrai) and can shift between full anacondrai, half-shifted and human. Also stronger than normal and 

Lloyd can turn into a full on dragon or oni, or simply stay in a half-shifted state.

Nya is kinda normal, she just can breathe underwater.

Oooh sure! :D Buckle up because I have a ton and this is probably gonna turn into a lonnng answered ask. 

I'll stick to general answers so it doesn't get to long. If y'want more specific stuff about any of them, just ask!

Ok, to start with newest edition of them all.

Siege (Also know as "The General" or "Zero") 

- They're specific to my Redeemed Cryptor AU.

- They're part of the Overlord's nindroid army in season 3, yes they're a nindroid. 

- They replaced Cryptor as the Overlord's general after Cryptor was discovered to be a double agent and traitor. They were also placed in charge of getting information from Cryptor on the ninja and their whereabouts, and in erasing any traces of Cryptor from the Overlord's ranks. 

- Post- Overlord's defeat, they refused to let Cyrus reprogram/recruit them for his security, so they ran away and disappeared.

- Absolutely hates Cryptor and wants him dead for  betraying the Overlord. 

- Overall they're an arrogant jerk, kinda murderous and very cruel.

Moving on to, The Partners in Crime. My first ocs. 

Sage Brooks and Asher Woodman. 

- Sage and Asher are a pair of thieves for hire. They were introduced to a life of crime by Ronin at a young age. 

- Sage and Asher met during a skeleton horde attack as kids and they've stuck together since.

- Sage is an archer, with a lot of guilt over things she has done. She's sorta the mom of the group, though Asher, Sage, and Marion all view each other as siblings. She tends to be more heroic than Asher, stopping to save lives during villain attacks and such. 

- Asher is hand to hand combat based, and tends to put on a brave face and push away his own emotional stuff to instead support Sage and Marion. He's a troublemaker. He really only cares about himself and his loved ones safeties, preferring to stay away from villain attacks or at least stay on the villains good sides. The only exception is fellow thieves/criminals. He'll fight them, specifically if he thinks they're a threat to his family, without hesitation. 

- I actually have files for them somewhere on here, but they really need updated. Specifically Sage's. 

- Asher has a girlfriend/wife named Katlyn Mcbrian. She was a fellow thief that he met on a job. They continued a life of crime after marriage, up until Katlyn was pregnant with their twin daughters, Willow and Cedar Woodman.

Marion Nettle

- He's Sage and Asher's little brother. Sage saved him from a group of SOG members back in Garmadon's take over. 

- He's an elemental master, specifically the elemental master of fear. I also have a file for this element somewhere on here. 

- As mentioned in an earlier post, he was trained by Morro. He was one of Morro's first students after redemption, to be specific. 

- Most people don't react well to his presence, thanks to his element. It hurts but he's gotten used to it. He's also a soft ray of sunshine, a cinnamon roll.

- He's an inbetween ninja, as in he's somewhere between the current ninja and the next generation of ems. As an adult/older teen he leads a small warrior squad named "The Shadow Squad", who watch over Ninjago and help train the next generation of the elemental masters.

Safa Mayfield

- She's from my Redeemed Bizarro Series, and is Daemon (Bizarro! Cole's) little sister. See " Gone Soft"

- She's a really sweet kid, even when she's a teen who acts all tough and sarcastic. 

- Really looks up to Daemon and Blizzard (Bizarro!Zane), and aspires to be like them. Daemon taught her self defense and Blizzard taught her weapon based combat. 

- She becomes a viglante named "Nightmare", and essentially becomes the Shadow Squad's Samurai X later on. She wears red eye contacts as part of her vigilante uniform,  a nod to and attempt to hold a likeness to her bizarro brothers. 

- Does not like the ninja, with the exception of Cole and Marion. And Morro, kinda.

- She's the youngest member of Shadow Squad by two years. Was worried the trainees were scared of her; they aren't, even though she's intimidating.

Calvin Rune

- Calvin is a dark sorcerer, and a member of the Shadow Squad.

- He lives with his brother, Jerome, who is also a sorcerer, but not of the dark variety. More on him later.

- He is a bit sarcastic, very tired all the time thanks to studying magic for hours on end. 

- He's a bit of trickster, encourages the trainees to prank eachother and place bets (with candy) on stuff. 

- I still need to figure out more for him 😅

Zoe Rose Johnson

- Zoe is a non-em ninja and a member of the Shadow Squad. They're a team healer.

- They were one of Garmadon's season 3 students. They very much admire him and were inspired to learn how to defeat an opponent without fighting them from him. 

- Has learned chi blocking. 

- They're kind hearted, but are also incredibly stubborn and won't hesitate to physically drag you to the med bay of you refuse to have your injuries looked at. Which is good because Safa will try to walk it off, Calvin will be to tired to take care of himself, and Marion doesn't wanna bother Zoe.

Jerome Rune

- Jerome is Calvin's older brother, and is a Light Sorcerer (? The name is in progress)

- He runs a tea shop known as "Mystery Teas" along with his husband. Before joining Shadow Squad, Calvin worked there, or babysat Jerome's triplets.

- Jerome once had a very strong connection to his magic, and was a powerful sorcerer. He was a capable fighter, as well.

- However, after a near-death experience (with the outcome of severe injuries) during a villain attack, where he attempted to help civilians, he lost his connection to his magic. 

- This isn't connection that can be regained. Once severed, it's gone.

- He got lucky, a specialist managed to salvage some of his magic with a rune of his choice. The magic that remained was condensed into that specific rune, and with practice and concentration, he'd be able to perform the spell that matched that rune. 

- He chose a shield rune.

- Puppet Master

- She's Marion's villain, and is the elemental master of string. This allows her to control people like puppets. 

- Aerial is one of the people under her control, and is Zoe's villain. 

- Ms. Fortune is a follower of Puppet Master, willingly. She is Calvin's villain.

- Yes, they're all carnival/performer themed.

Branded

Haven’t written anything with my favorite ninja in a while so have an excerpt of what happened to Cole after he loses the tournament in the Hellfire AU.

“Well, well, well. I would’ve never thought I’d have the chance to get up close and personal with one of the ninja so soon.” Chen’s grating voice greeted the earth ninja the moment he was hauled into the chamber where he and the others saw the metal guy lose his powers. He had a pretty good idea of what’s in store for him and he wasn’t looking forward to it.

“It’s actually kind of pathetic,” The ringleader of this whole scheme continued looking down on him, figuratively and literally, “You and the lightning bug keep getting into petty fights and let your friendship fall apart all because of a girl.” He taunted in a sing-song voice.

Cole couldn’t say anything. Chen was right and he just didn’t want to face the cold hard truth.

Then again, does he really like Nya?

It’s no use thinking about it. One, he didn’t have the answer. Two, this was the worst time to even ponder over the matter.

“I’m sure you know the rules by now. The winner takes all and the loser gets nothing.” Chen aimed his staff towards Cole and the crystal embedded into it began to glow.

Cole remember how that guy reacted and braced himself.

What happened next was indescribable. All Cole can tell was that it hurt and it felt like something important to him was being taken away. He knew that’s exactly what’s happening. Cole’s earthy green eyes were squeezed shut until he barely opened them to see a brownish aura seeping forth from his body and flowing towards the crystal of the staff. He also saw that he was floating off the ground, even if just a little bit. Seconds felt like minutes to the black ninja and the struggle to not cry or scream was becoming an uphill battle. He didn’t want to lose everything and refused to utter any sound besides his frequent grunts and gasps hinting to his agony until it was finally over. Cole maladroitly fell to the ground, coughing and breathing heavily for precious air.

“Well what do you know?” Chen shrugged like Cole’s ordeal was nothing, “You’re the first person I’ve done that to without screaming or crying. Oh well.”

“So you’re gonna throw me out just like that...?” Cole wheezed.

“Why would I do that? Just because you lose doesn’t mean I’m gonna make your efforts go to waste,” Chen’s lips curled into a cruel smirk, “I just need to do one last thing. It shouldn’t take too long... if you stay still.”

Before Cole could react, Chen’s lackeys held him down and one of them ripped a portion of his gi off, exposing his shoulder blade.

“W-what are you doing!? Get off!” Cole may not have his elemental powers anymore but he wasn’t considered the strongest ninja for nothing. He wrested his way out of their grasp. He put up as much of a fight as he could and even beaten up several of Chen’s servants before he was restrained sooner than he wanted. He never felt so weak without his element. Has he became too dependent on it?

The servants dragged the now powerless ninja to a corner of the chamber where a circle of strange glyphs was drawn on the ground. A few lackeys held Cole down in the center while the rest stood around the circle and began chanting in a strange language.

Clouse stepped forward carrying a small vessel filled with steaming purple liquid in one hand and his book of spells in the other.

“Shall we begin, Master?” The creepy sorcerer asked Chen.

“Of course. This one will come in quite handy...”

Cole struggled but without his powers and his stamina drained by his previous ordeal, it was no use. Chen and Clouse joined the underlings’ chants and the glyphs started to glow a mysterious purple. Chen crept closer with the vessel Clouse had earlier and placed a hand on the bare portion of Cole’s back while uttering an eerie incantation. The powerless ninja tried to move but the glowing circle somehow kept him in place and he noticed the servants who held him down now joined the rest of the goons in their chanting. Chen dipped his hands into the hot liquid and began smearing it onto the ninja’s dark skin.

The paint on Cole’s flesh reacted to the chants and glowing glyphs and glowed as it seared itself into his skin. The pain was much worse than getting his powers extracted. He can’t hold it in any longer. Cole let out a terrible shriek full of sheer agony. The earth ninja’s pained howls were music to Chen’s ears. His sadistic grin grew wider while he worked on the tattoo that will grant him more power than he could ever imagine. The black ninja better be grateful when the time comes.

Now the pieces came together for Cole. Now he knew where that scream the ninja heard came from. The losers are forever branded as slaves.

After what felt like an eternity, the ritual was complete. Cole never felt so weak in his entire life. Everything swam before him and the dizziness was too much to bear. Just before his consciousness left him, he barely made out what Clouse uttered.

“It’s time... for you... to join the others...”

Parents (Hooves and Fins AU)

Cole was swimming through the small kelp forest on Nya's side of the lake, looking for a mature length to bring to Zane as a snack. Apparently it didn't grow well up north and it was a rare snack for cold water mers. He found one and cut it with his clawed hand (he still sometimes accidentally scratches himself with them) and headed back towards the icy side of the lake- when a huge shadow passed overhead, startling him. He looked up to the water's surface before swimming up and looking around. He then gasped.

“Lloyd!” He called eagerly before swimming towards the shore (ridiculously quick for any centaur but apparently normal for kelpies).

The green dragon landed on the shore and Cole could already see the differences. For one- big! Not to mention his scales had some gold amongst the vivid green- and horns! He turned to face the water and roared, making Cole grin as he stepped out of the water.

“Woah! Look at you!” Cole says with a grin as he continued to show off.

“That's nothing.” Lloyd says, voice noticeably deeper before he shifted to his more humane form- and woah!

“No way!” They looked up to see Kai and Jay flying in on the scene.

“You got big! No more bowl cut either.” Kai says as he landed before him and ruffled his hair.

“Hey, go easy on the hair.” Lloyd says, batting his hand away, readjusting his hair around his horns.

“Lloyd. It's good to see you.” Zane says as Nya came up as well, Skylor walking out.

“Talk about a growth spurt.” Skylor says, hands on her hips as she looked him over. “Almost all the baby fat is gone too.” She says, tilting his chin up with her purple tail.

“I like the gold touch on your wings.” Jay says, holding one open.

“It's all over actually.” Cole told him then turned his attention back to Lloyd. “But your skin is darker than I remember. And I can see some markings like Master G has.” He says, looking him over, holding out his arm.

“Speaking of, Master Wu went to get him. They should be back any moment now.” Nya spoke up, watching them with a grin, her cheek in her palm.

A familiar sound caught their ears and they looked up on time to see the portal to the other realm close behind Master Wu.

“Right on time.” Skylor says as Lloyd watched them eagerly.

Wu landed nearby and Master G slid off his back. Red eyes looked around before widening as they landed in his son.

“Dad!” Lloyd yelled, flying over and the dark skinned demon's eyes widened before he had an arm full of excited son.

“Son! Look at you!” Garmadon says with a chuckle as Lloyd looked up at him with blown eyes and a happily wagging tail. “You've even got your horns now! But don't think they're done growing in. You'll soon find yourself needing to file them down or else they'll get a little out of control.” He says, ruffling his hair before just looking over his son.

“I’ve missed you Lloyd.” He says softly, hugging his boy close.

“I've missed you too dad.” Lloyd says, hugging his father tightly as the others awed.

“Watching those two can melt any heart.” Nya says, touched.

“Reminds me of my own father.” Zane says wistfully.

“What was he like?” Cole asked, walking over.

“A lot like Master Garmadon to be honest. He wasn't a mer like I was. He was an arctic fox. He found me when I was young and abandoned. He told me I was very small and most likely premature. So he took me in. He was very smart and clever. He couldn't swim in the icy waters with me so he created a sort of suit that allows him to swim without getting wet or too cold for a while. He always urged me to do my best, to try again when I failed at something. He was everything I could ever ask for in a parent. But he had a far shorter lifespan than I did. He died before I was even an adult mer but his charity had made me strong enough to survive in my own. I'll never forget him.” Zane says, placing a webbed hand over his heart, eyes closed.

“He sounds like a great man. We would have loved to meet him.” Wu says and Zane smiled.

“Kinda reminds me of our parents, huh Kai?” Nya says and Kai nods with a wistful smile.

“People called them crazy for falling for each other Mom always said. They were from completely different worlds and whatnot.” Kai says, rolling his wrist. “We should visit sometime soon and introduce Skylor. If they loved Jay, it's guaranteed that they'll love her.” He says, ignoring Jay's 'hey!’.

“Which reminds me of my folks!” Jay says with a grin and Kai groaned.

“I love your parents Jay but I like my ears.” He says, with a grimace.

Ed and Edna were normal harpies with penchant for building odd devices with odd things they find. But just like Jay, they really enjoy talking. Like really. He doesn't usually mind a good conversation but not one that goes on the whole day!

“What about your parents Cole?” Zane asked with a tilt of his head and Cole rubbed the back of his neck.

“Well. My mom died when I was really young so I don't really know her. My dad… Things are a little complicated between us and the herd.” Cole says to put it lightly then frowned. “But considering I actually died and things are still bad between us… I should at least try to work things out. I'm pretty sure there's no third chance for me.” He says, crossing his arms.

“Wait. Cole died? Is that why he looks so… Green?” Garmadon asked bewildered and Cole smiled wirely.

“I knew there was something I forgot to tell you.” Wu says, stroking his beard with a clawed hand and they all laughed.

“Well, since everyone's sharing…” Skylor spoke up, gaining their attention. “My dad said my mom died shortly after I was born and you all know what happened to my dad.” She says and they did.

Chen was a human before he became a Naga and sought to rule all if Ninjago and its species. The human sorcerer Clouse made that happen before he had Skylor and since she inherited the ability to absorb powers from her mother, he had this overly complicated plan to take over Ninjago. He was no match for the dragon and demon protecting these lands and with their students in the mix, it was cake. They were banished to the cursed realm for their crimes against all species.

“This is touching and sad and all but I'm starving. Can we get something to eat? I haven't eaten the entire time at the cove.” Lloyd says, holding his growling stomach.

“Sure thing. Let's see of your hunting game stepped up.” Cole says and Lloyd smirked, running over.

“You're on!” He says, hopping up on his hide and Cole took off as Jay chased him, squawking about letting him ride him.

“... Anyone want to explain to me how Cole died?” Master Garmadon asked and Kai turned to Zane- who had magically disappeared along with Nya, Skylor and Wu.

“I guess it's up to me.” Kai sighed. “You might wanna sit down…”

in s6 he's having a really bad time over Clouse being back. he still remembers the alternate timeline (everyone does) and has a breakdown over not knowing Clouse's whereabouts after defeating Nakhadan

Cole and Skylor weren't very close on Chen's island, but after s4 they bond over shared experiences. they're besties here

he hates noodles with a burning passion

everyone jokes about how Cole looks a lot like famous performer Lou Brookstone. it's not as funny when they figure out who his parents are

the ninja don't officially start dating until s7, since they were dealing with Lloyd being kidnapped, the alternate timeline and Cole was still adjusting to being a ninja

Cole is much more suspicious of King Vangelis because he can sense magic. when they get thrown into the pit he's not even surprised

Harumi knows about his backstory and tries to get him on her side, but it doesn't work.

he has a teddy bear named Rocky Dangerbuff, hence why he went with that pseudonym in SoG

said teddy bear was given to him by Jay to match Mr Cuddlywomp

he's considered dead in absentia and never bothered changing it

Cole doesn't exist in the legal system other than a birth and death certificate, so it's a pain for the police to arrest him in s6 and 16

he makes a hole in the monastery walls multiple times while learning to control his powers

Kai is very blunt about having found the master of earth. when they go to tell Wu he just says "we found the master of earth" with no other context. Cole isn't even in the room at the time

he was kidnapped at about 3 years old so he doesn't have much memory of his parents other than them dancing

Jay jokingly got him a wizard costume for day of the departed. he's dressed as one for 3 years in a row now

he can actually cook in this au. he thinks of it like potion making except it also tastes good

A random Ninjago x Umineko Wallpaper, size 1600px x 1200px. Decided to minorly alter it before posting it here.

This is less of a pairing and more of a “These Stakes have these Ninja counterpart”. Cole and Jay is an obvious one and Zane is less obvious. I’m also thinking for the ones for Satan of Wrath, Belphegor of Sloth, and Mammon of Greed, but for now this’ll do. The pair’s name are combination of the sins and the four elemental Dragon’s name, except for Cole since Gluttonous Rocky sounds weird :/

The story is that the four Ninjas were protectors of the Golden Sorcerer LLOYD in the form of stakes, dubbing themselves “The Four Stakes of Spinjitzu”. As LLOYD train under Beatrice and BATTLER’s tutorage, the Stakes of Spinjitzu train under Beatrice’s furniture, The Seven Sisters/Stakes of Purgatory. Since there’s only four of them as opposed to the Sisters’ seven, the Ninja take lessons from the Sisters whose sins correspond them the most. I call this the “Stakes AU”.

I have a hard time choosing the shade of purple, mainly because of it’d blend with Kai’s red if too vibrant, Zane’s white if too dull, and the background if too dark.

DECIDED TO DRAW SOME VILLAIN!NINJA TINGZ

Basically this AU is based on alternate events in which the ninja aren’t able to save each other. Most of them had the strength to stop themselves from fighting their family but once they were turned, they became a group.

Nya is technically the first one to “turn to the dark side” but was restored. Or so they thought.

She still have a small amount of dark matter so that it didn’t affect her behavior but it appeared when she eventually got stuck in her elemental form.

Sensei Wu was next to be turned and now runs the evil group as Techno Wu.

Kai was next. He had managed to retrieve the staff from Chen but no one was able to take it away from it so it slowly took over his body and mind to the point that a voice was manifested within his mind.

Lloyd is fairly simple. When Morro possessed him, they weren’t able to really separate them since it was pretty much only Jay, Cole, and Zane at that point.

Zane, similarly to Lloyd, got stuck as the Ice Emperor because the other ninja were turned and didn’t particularly care about restoring Zane.

Jay became emperor of Prime Empire after forcing his way into the game’s code. This could’ve potentially been a coping mechanism but it is uncertain. Nevertheless, he became a glitch in the world and would travel between the game world and reality to recruit new players for his game.

Sensing that it's about to be destroyed, the skull tried to corrupt Cole right before his burst and it managed to work and since it got control over an elemental, it abandoned Vangelis and made him powerless, allowing Cole to be the new Skull Sorcerer.

Also keep in mind that this is all from memory and we're aware that it doesn't make much sense at the moment 😭

There was a kid standing near Chen. It was bad enough that they were stuck in this twisted game for a madman, but now they had to rescue a prisoner too? Or at least, Kai thought he was a prisoner. The teenager looked pretty miserable standing next to Chen and Clouse.

Lloyd looked over at him. "Chen's kid?" he mouthed.

Huh, that was actually possible, now that Kai thought of it. What other reasons could there be for some random kid to be standing next to Chen? Prisoners would likely be held underground, not in the middle of an elaborate hall.

Chen was still going on with his speech, talking about how the Elemental Masters would be going up against each other for the Jadeblades. None of it sounded good.

"And now, Clouse's student here will provide the entertainment for dinner." he shoved the kid forward, almost making him land face flat.

Clouse's student stood stiffly, like he had a broomstick taped to his spine. 'Is he even breathing?' Kai wondered.

He moved suddenly, holding his hands out in front of him. It vaguely reminded Kai of the exercises that Master Wu had them do before. The kid spun, and then there was a huge dragon floating above him, made up of mist and smoke and glowing purple. It followed his motions and flew over the Elemental Masters' heads before exploding into dust.

Next to Kai, Sensei Garmadon was pale. "He's a sorcerer," he said softly. "this is not good news at all."

Lilly held Cole's hand as they walked through the forest. It was a nice day for hiking, the leaves had just started turning red and the air was cool.

"Momma, look!" Cole pointed at a fallen tree. "It fell,"

"Yes, Cole. Sometimes trees fall down," Lilly smiled.

"Lots of bugs," Cole said.

"Yes, there would be a lot--" Lilly felt a prickle at the back of her neck. "Cole, baby, I need you to go back to the house."

"Momma? What's wrong?"

"Cole, start running. Now,"

Her son looked at her fearfully and started down the path, but was blocked by a trio of large men. One of them grabbed him and put a knife to his throat. No, no, no. This couldn't be happening. She had tried so hard to stay off the grid--

"Hello, Lilly Hence-Brookstone." one of them smiled. "Now, don't try to fight. You won't be able to use your powers here," he held up a pair of vengestone handcuffs.

"Whatever it is you want, leave my son out of it," she growled.

"Unfortunately, it is your son that we need. I don't this any more than you do, but Chen's orders, amirite?

"Chen," she murmured. "what does that snake want with my son?"

"I wouldn't know that," her son's captor shrugged. "but he payed us a lot to get this kid, so..."

"Mom?" Cole said softly. "I'm scared,"

"Stay still, sweetie. It's okay," Lilly told him. "Whatever it is, I'm sure he can use me instead." she said to Chen's men.

"We were paid to get the child." the man on the right said gruffly. "Not you."

"He's three. Chen has no use for him."

"Enough stalling. You will either leave peacefully, or watch your son die." the first goon snapped.

He was bluffing. They needed Cole, or they wouldn't get paid. But she couldn't use her powers, and her weapons were still at home...

There was only one option left.

"There is a third option," Lilly said. She straightened up, balled her hands into fists, and charged.

The head henchman growled at that. The other two charged back at her. The first one dug the knife into Cole's throat -- not deep enough to kill, but still a nasty wound. Cole started crying. There was too much happening at once, her kid was hurt and crying, two large men were coming at her with weapons, the leader was holding a bloody knife--

The last thing Lilly heard before everything went dark was Cole screaming.

The ninja were nice, Cole supposed. He didn't really have anyone else to compare them to, but considering the fact that they let him live with them even after multiple murder attempts they must be good people. Master Wu, however, did not seem to know what to make of him. He somehow both avoided Cole and tried to get to know him at the same time. Some days Master Wu would congratulate him on his training and smile and others he would simply avoid him. It was frustrating.

"Working on the obstacle course, Cole?" someone speaking pulled Cole out of his thoughts.

He turned around to see Master Wu holding his staff and smiling.

"Yes." Cole said.

"You should take a break. You've been out here all day," Wu frowned.

"I'm fine."

Wu shook his head. "You're just like your mother," he said. "always pushing yourself to the limit, never giving yourself time to rest."

Cole's heart skipped a beat. He had never known his parents -- had spent his whole life on the island until last month. Chen told him they were dead, but of course it was another lie. "You knew my mom?" he hated how his voice cracked on the last word.

"She was my last student before the ninja."

"What is she like?"

Wu hmmed. "She was caring. Very stubborn, never backed down from a fight. I suppose she was like you in that regard,"

Was? "You talk about her in the past tense. Is she not around anymore?" Cole asked.

"I do not know, unfortunately. I lost contact with many members of the Elemental Alliance. Your mother was one of them,"

Great. Cole had thought he might be able to meet his parents, but maybe he just wasn't meant to have a family. "Oh." he said.

"I am sorry if I have been distant, Cole. Perhaps I can make it up to you. Would you like to hear about her?"

"Yeah. I'd like that,"

"Nyaaaa, I need help," Jay groaned as he face-planted onto Nya's bedroom floor.

"What is it, Jay?" Nya asked softly. She sounded worried.

"I wanna ask the guys be be my Yang. Yangs? Whichever is the plural," Jay sighed.

"That's great, Jay! Why do you sound so upset, then?"

"Because I don't know how!" Jay exclaimed. "Do I just walk up to them and ask, or do I need to make it fancy, or am I supposed to take them out on a date first..."

"I think you should just go with what your gut says," Nya said.

"My gut is telling me to throw up,"

Nya frowned. "You could take them somewhere," she suggested. "I think there's that new riverboat tour. It seems nice, and private."

"See? Now you have a plan. Aren't I the best," Nya joked.

Jay smiled at that. "Thanks, Nya. I don't have to ask permission to marry your brother, do I?"

"You didn't have to before, but now that you've said it, fine. Duel today at sunset. If you win you have my permission,"

"Don't I have your permission either way?" Jay raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe, but this is more fun. Now get up, Sparky. I'll help you plan the proposal."

Because the dark sorcerer cole au brainrot is back: Cole doesn't use a scythe or hammer like in canon. Instead, he fights with knives/daggers, with at least two on him at any given time. This is because knives are often used in magic rituals/spells. The ninja have even made a game out of it: How Many Knives Does Cole Have Today? Of course, he does have to learn to use a scythe eventually, but his preferred weapon is still a knife.
