Was tagged by @thelawsofdaylight @television-bodies and @darkgreenandbloodred a lil while ago to share six sentences of my wip. I was busy and in a writing slump for a lil bit there, but we are so back ✨

“I asked your stylists how you were doing, but they only seemed interested in talking about how perfect you are,” he says wryly.  Enjolras makes a noise which sounds an equal mix of amusement and annoyance. He turns his right hand over, palm to the ceiling, and pulls up the sleeve of his bathrobe. There’s a small red mark in the crook of his elbow.  “They injected me with something,” he says. “Do you know what it was? I asked, but by that point they’d already injected it and said it didn’t matter.”

I wanted to start a tag game, but with really random questions. So here goes nothing!

1. How many blankets and/or stuffed animals do you sleep with?

A lot. I'm bordering on 40 stuffed animals. It's a problem.

2. What's the first movie you can remember watching and crying?

Lilo and Stitch. I think I was seven.

3. Favorite pair of shoes?

They're a pair of vans, they're checkered black and rainbow.

4. An accomplishment that was kinda silly, but you are super proud of?

Okay, when I was in first grade (6 yrs to 7yrs) I won my school spelling bee, beating kids up to 11 yrs of age. I'm still proud of that.

5. You're on a deserted island. You get two people and three things (necessities are provided). What do you bring?

Oh gosh. Why did I put this one on here? Probably my dear friends, who'll shall be called M and G for their own sake. I'd bring my phone (i make the rules here) my phone charger, and my headphones. Thank goodness I use the same charger for my phone and headphones. And apparently there is electricity and wifi on the island, so yeah.

6. What is your dream role(s)?

I would absolutely love to be Eponine (who wouldn't?) But also, if I had the ability of course, Christine in Phantom.

7. Carpet, hardwood, or tile?

Um, hard wood. Why did I think this was a good question???

8. Favorite number?

18. I don't know, I just like it. But I also like 13. Because it's unlucky.

Yeah, it's kinda silly. But whatever, I wanted to do it so I did it.

20. What I hate most about myself

I struggled with this one bc I was like I don't think I hate anything about myself, then was like the only time I hate myself is during pmdd week. So that's what I hate, having pmdd 😩

Again it's so hard to choose but in the opposite way bc I accidentally became too confident lol. Ok physically, I am in love with my hair, no matter what I do to it it looks great in every style and colour but I'm obsessed with my current style like 😩😩😩

And that lingered, behind the strange intoxication of Grantaire's blood that made Enjolras’ mind slow and his body sing in the moments afterwards. They were feet apart now: Enjolras having pulled himself off Grantaire and thrown himself across the room when the alcohol hit him; Grantaire having slumped against the wall and slid down to the floor, weakly holding a hand to his neck.

The moments leading up to it, Grantaire had pushed Enjolras, confronting him about the thing he could feel between them that he couldn't name, couldn't understand, because even though Grantaire didn't look surprised, Enjolras could tell that he never truly believed the truth he suspected until the moment it was confirmed.

Grantaire had seen the hunger Enjolras should have kept in better check, and instead of leaving it unspoken as they always had - a mutual silent acknowledgment they had with each other, if Grantaire didn't speak of how Enjolras watched him, then Enjolras wouldn't speak of how Grantaire watched him - Grantaire broke that agreement and pushed him.

He wasn't happy with the implicit nature of their relationship, how much went unsaid yet was always there, and he said as much. He demanded answers, and when Enjolras refused him once he got closer, demanded again, reached out a hand to push him but Enjolras caught it and twisted, pushed him into the wall, and answered his questions with the truth in a bite.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? My Enjolras goes too far and gets himself in trouble with the fucking mob au. It was fun I was having a great time writing it but also it's complicated trying to work out the logistics I feel. Saying that I've recently revived my Hunger Games AU from like 2+ years ago so never say never!

16. What are your writing strengths? I don't think I know the answer to this uhh like dialogue and general character dynamics? Bestie idk!

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Description holy fuck I suck so bad at descripton. As far as I'm concerned all conversations are taking place in a completely white room with no doors or windows

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I think with les mis fanfic in particular it's kind of funny because, unless otherwise stated in the setting, it's always just presumed that everyone is speaking French, so in that case I don't really see the point? Does that make sense idfk

19. First fandom you wrote for? You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me (James Patterson's Maximum Ride series circa 2008-2010)

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Currently, it's Seek and Destroy. But this tag has me thinking of Following the Neon Signs again, I think I'll always have a soft spot for that fic :')
