a semi-charming kind of life is genuinely probably my favorite book i’ve read this year. it’s just that good. i adore darling sm. she’s so gay oh my god. the amount of times she takes disinterest in boys throughout the book in uncountable. girlie is a lesbian and the fucking allegories this book provides for coming out of the closet and being who you truly are is beautiful.

Daring and Apple are not siblings

A lot of people think this because of Prince Charmings being both of their parents however, this is very much NOT canon. The last name Charming is like the last name Smith. Very common. Except of course the last name comes with being royalty. I’d look at it more like a title. Anyways here’s proof from Dexter and Darling’s chapters in once upon a time. There is also a slight explanation in Blondie Branches Out.

Daring’s only siblings are Darling and Dexter not Ashlynn or Briar or Holly or whatever other royal you might think. Only the canon love interests are canonically unrelated (Apple, Raven, Rosa) so technically some of the other royals could be cousins with them. But not first cousins since we meet all of them in Once Upon a Time.

Raven is not Apple’s aunt

Zantetsuken has multiple backstories such as three of the strongest swordsman forged the metal of their sword to make it, or that it was made using the metal of a fallen meteor. Zantetsuken can cut almost literally anything. Goemon is a trained samurai thief and he usually helps the gang by using Zantetsuken to cut whatever obstacle is in the way. I personally headcanon him to be bisexual and transgender!
