The little droplets of water trickle against the glass, you move your finger against its before letting it touch the table. You watch , taking a sigh of relief, in the solitude of your company. It was short interrupted by the growing eyes on you. The white gown, the veil were definitely a give away to answer it.
Getting cold feet is totally normal!! You reassure yourself in a weak moment of second thoughts. The engagement diamond sat tight around your finger as you fiddled with a bouquet of carnations. You met Kagami 5 years back. And even though he particularly didn't strike much of your interest, it was love at first sight for him. He fell first, and felt harder. ANd you, you grew to his presence. He cared about you, loved you with all your ins and outs. He stayed, and the idea of him around became a habit. A habit. A habit, the word irked you strangely. There was never a doubt that you loved being around him. He knew you in and out, things you liked and disliked. Your friends loved him. He was perfect, a page from every girl’s fairytale- The air was poised, Yes it must be, today out of all the days was not the one to question. Teh ceremony was starting in an hour. Guests had started lining up. You mentally slapped yourself before you spiraled into this stupidity.

The muffled voice behind the door helped knock you off your thoughts. “Hey, it's oli” you recognized your best man’s voice. For a change you had both a maid of honor and a best man today. “Its open” you replied, too lazy to move from the comfort of your chair. The dress added. Oliver stood struck in teh door frame. “You. Look. Gorgeous. Marry me instead” His last comment made you chuckle. You rolled your eyes at him, “at this point i might as well” you mumbled.
“What did you say?” Oliver raised hsi eyebrow at teh answer.
“Nothing”
“You guys fought, didnt you, told you he was a los-”
“Oliver” You snap at him. It was unlike you to get so worked up over something so small. Oliver’s mouth fell agape, not hurt, but concerned now. “Im sorry I didn't mean to-” you start off but he cut you off.
“Talk to me” he knelt half way to look at you, worrisome.
“Do you think we rushed into this marriage?” You ask, “And answer me honestly?”
Oliver was ready to shoot down any doubts you had coming but even this left him confused.
“You do want to call off teh wedding, i don't think loverboy would mind.” Oliver broke teh growing silence. “I admit, i d not particularly get along w him, he is brick wall for a man, but he loves you… he will understand and you can marry him tomorrow”
“What if i don't wanna get married… to him… ever” Even you didn't realize where all this came from, but maybe you knew deep down.
“Congratulatulations” That voice. You were only half way done though your make, when the man interrupted. Him. His audacity to show up today out of all days, boiled your blood. Everyone exited shortly to give you two privacy. “never thought of you as being into lilies” he blurted in all honesty.
“I like em better” You lied. Taiga loved lilies.”Why-”
“Before you say anything, your mum invited” he said, putting down the bouquet of red carnations. You stand mute, trying to pick words, the rite words, until you are picking just any word. Anything you say out loud. “You had the choice to not show up” you bitterly bit your tongue back.
“Hmm.. I wasn't staying for the ceremony anyway.'' Silence took over again. He clicked his tongue, and without any further try-hard conversation, walked out. Again. You wished you screamed, cried, slapped him for always leaving you to pick up the pieces. But you didn't. You didn't feel the rage anymore.
For someone who always had something up his pocket, you were throwing Oliver off hsi game. “Oh- oh- development..” he stares at you blankly, “Do you want this?” he just asks one last question.

You werent gonna let the events of earlier dictate the way you lived, but at the same time, the diamond felt heavy as the clock ticked. It was unfair to taiga, this might hurt you both, but to live the rest of your life as a lie, would kill you. This was all the courage you needed.
“Yes, I mean, No i don't want this wedding… because, i-I love carnations”
“Okay? You want to cancel this wedding because they didn't get the flowers rite? Unacceptable but-”
“I have to go, I love you, take care of this for me” You hastily pull out the ring from you finger before oliver can he even comprehend what was going on, You pu ton your shoes, “I’ll call you later”
“Tori, whe- What is going on, we can fix teh flower-” Oliver tries to put two and two together, but watching you running around the room grabbing you things, he hardly can circle his brain around anything that was following.
YOu hug him tightly., “I owe this to you, Thankyou oli. I Love you  and i Love carnations” Marriages turn people silly he had heard, but you were not married yet- So this was rather fearfully crazy. “Just handle everything here” YOu peck his cheek and take the leave.
Your veil billows behind, smiling preciously. You were not tied by teh promises or regret of yesterday anymore—you ran bec you were doing something for yourself.
“Miss, would you like another?” You smiled widely, “yes, gladly” the people’s gaze fell with time. Until someone takes a seat next to you. “Some day?” He cocks his head to meet your eyes.
“You wont believe the day i’m having”
“Sound liek I have all the time for a story”
A giggle escapes your lips at his cheekiness, You take a deep breath, smiling eagerly to taht familiar face.

The Importance of Diabetes Control
Diabetes control means keeping blood sugar (Sugar ka ilaj) and glucose levels within a normal range. Too much or too little sugar in the bloodstream can cause short-term problems and damage to body tissues and vital organs. It also increases the risk of developing heart disease, kidney disease, nerve problems, vision problems, and other health problems. For these reasons, diabetes control is important to your overall health.
Self-efficacy
Self-efficacy is an important factor that influences self-management in people with diabetes. Self-efficacy enhances physical activity and helps people with diabetes manage their condition better. Studies have shown that the level of self-efficacy can affect both self-management and glycemic control in people with diabetes. Many interventions have been developed to increase self-efficacy in people with diabetes. However, the effectiveness of these programs remains to be seen.
In one study, researchers found a correlation between high A1C and self-efficacy. Specifically, the researchers found that higher self-efficacy was associated with greater self-care. Furthermore, people with well-controlled diabetes were more likely to have a higher self-efficacy level when it came to selecting appropriate foods when they are hungry and exercising at least 15 to 30 minutes four to five days a week. These findings may provide a target for targeted self-management interventions.
Self-care activities
Self-care activities are important to diabetes management. However, not all patients implement self-care activities. For example, some participants may not have knowledge about the importance of foot care. A recent study examined how self-care activities could be improved. The study included 202 people with type 2 diabetes in Guangzhou, China.
Self-care activities for diabetes control involve monitoring blood glucose levels and responding to symptoms of the disease. If necessary, patients should consult their doctor when symptoms do not respond to self-treatment. By increasing their knowledge and understanding of self-management, many patients are able to reduce the risk of long-term complications associated with diabetes.
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of self-care activities in patients with type 2 diabetes. The goal is to determine what factors affect patient compliance with self-care activities and how well these activities improve quality of life. The study is cross-sectional and descriptive and will include both qualitative and quantitative data.
Medications
Many people who have diabetes (Sugar ki dawai) are prescribed certain medications in order to control their blood sugar levels. High blood sugar can damage blood vessels and nerves, which can lead to serious medical complications. High blood sugar also increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Some diabetes medications can have side effects and can interact with other medications. Therefore, it is important to talk to your doctor about all medications before starting any new treatments.
Some people with diabetes will require long-term management to control their blood sugar levels. Although it isn't always possible, even a slightly high blood sugar level can lead to a wide range of problems.
Blood glucose monitoring
The use of blood glucose Sugar monitoring is a crucial part of diabetes control. It helps a diabetic to determine when to administer insulin. If blood glucose levels fluctuate too much, it can be very dangerous for the body. High blood sugar levels are dangerous because they can lead to problems such as seizures and coma. Low blood sugar levels can be even more dangerous. Because of this, a diabetic should always carry a blood glucose monitor.
In a recent study, researchers tested two types of blood glucose monitoring devices on 175 people with type 2 diabetes. The participants were monitored for three months. Their average blood glucose levels were calculated using hemoglobin A1C. If HbA1C was 8.6% or more, the person had type 2 diabetes and needed to take insulin to control it. In addition, high levels were associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular problems.
Hypoglycemia prevention
One of the best methods of hypoglycemia prevention is monitoring blood glucose levels. This will enable you to notice when your glucose level is dropping and treat it before it becomes dangerously low. It is also important to check your blood glucose before and after exercise. If you are doing intense exercise, it is also important to monitor your glucose levels before bed. If you find that your blood glucose level is consistently low, you need to check it more frequently.
Hypoglycemia can occur because of a mismatch between the insulin and carbohydrate intake. It can also result from errors in dosing medication or insulin. Additionally, it can occur if a person has a history of severe hypoglycemia or has another comorbid condition that impairs glucose metabolism. Other risk factors include alcohol consumption, salicylates, and general anesthesia.

Finally found a moment to work on FFPS. Heres a little excerpt
“Fenton.”
Both Dannies turned around. “Which one?” Tucker asked.
“Daniel.”
The Dannies looked at each other. “Which one?” they said in unison.
Damian was clearly getting frustrated. His face scrunched up and his voice tone was clearly annoyed, “How do you usually differentiate yourselves?”
The Dannies started listing off names as they counted on their fingers.
“Danny-with-a-Y,”
“Dani-with-a-I,”
“Boy-Danny,”
“Girl-Danny,”
“Him,”
“Her,”
“The tall one,”
“The shorter one,”
“The older one,”
“The younger one.”
Damian remained frustrated, “I am not calling either of you either of those names.”
“Well, we both respond to ‘Dannie’ or ‘Fenton’.”
“But that does not resolve the issue.”
Dani tilted her head, “Why do you not want to call us ‘Dannie’?”
“‘Dannie’ is a nickname, which would imply we have a closer relationship than we have.”
“What if you called one of them ‘Fenton’ and the other ‘Daniel’?” Steph suggested.
“Fair warning,” Tucker spoke up, “neither of them like to be called ‘Daniel’. Like they really don’t like it.”
“But that is their name, why would I call them anything else?” Damian looked genuinely confused.
“Call me by a name I don’t like and I’ll call you by a name you don’t like.”
“Ditto.”
Damian crossed his arms, “I insist you allow me to call at least one of you ‘Daniel’.”
Danny crossed his arms to mirror Damian, “Alright, Ian.”
Steph tried to smother her laughter. Damian was outraged. Tim had never seen his face that red before. Damian opened and shut his mouth a few times in shock before he found his words, “That is not my name.”
“Sure thing, Dames.” Danny was grinning.
Damian stood up, “I demand you call me by my proper name!”
“Hmmm… maybe we should call him ‘Dami’ instead?” Dani suggests.
“No!”
“How about ‘Day’?”
“No. ‘Amy’?”
“‘Dameron’?”
“You’ve started a war you cannot win,” Tucker sighed and slumped in his seat.
“‘Day-Way’? Because ‘day’ in Damian and the ‘way’ in Wayne.”
“Day-Way, Daway, D-Way- no. Dwight.”
Steph was howling with laughter now.

have you ever wondered what people ate in 17th century poland? me neither, but my dad has and since he's a historical reenactor and has reenactor friends, they managed to dig out a cooking book from the period, called Compendium Ferculorum.
Tumblr media
this book contains possibly the weirdest recipe i have ever fucking seen, enigmatically called "dish with pancakes", to lull you into a false sense of security. the weirdest thing about it is that it actually tastes really good, and not at all like you would imagine when you initially hear what goes into it.
Tumblr media
i understand most of you aren't able to read 17th century polish in a gothic font, so here's the direct transcription:
LXXVI. Potráwá z Naleśnikami Weźmiy Kapłona álbo Cielęćiny, álbo Báránka, porąb, wymocz, ociągniy, odbierz, poley Rosołem, ułoż másłá, pietruszki, soli, warż, á gdy dowiera, wley rosołu, wley Octu winnego, Cukru, pieprzu, Szafránu, Cynamonu, przywarz. Zrob Naleśniki, w materią wsyp trochę Száfranu y Cukru, uwarz Ryżu albo Jaieśnicę usmasz, wsyp Száfranu, Rożenkow drybnych, zawiiay tę máteryą w Naleśniki, w ktorą y Cukru przydasz, zrob z Jáiec máteryą, to iest: rozbiy Jáiec, maczay końce tych Naleśnikow w Jáycách rozbitych, puszczay ná gorące másło, a gdy odrętwiesz, daway te potráwę, a Naleśniki ná wierzch kładź, a zalewáiąc day ciepło.
and in english:
76. Pancake dish Take a chicken, veal or lamb, quarter it, soak it, skin it, pick it up [this I don't know what it could mean unfortunately], pour broth over it, add butter, parsley and salt, cook it, and when it boils, pour in the rest of the broth, wine vinegar, sugar, black pepper, saffron and cinnamon, continue cooking. Make pancakes, add a little saffron and sugar to the batter, cook rice or scrambled eggs, add saffron, small raisins and wrap this filling in the pancakes; dip the ends of the pancakes in beaten eggs with added sugar and fry in butter, and when the egg has set, serve the dish with the pancakes on top, drenched in hot soup.
lo and behold, this is what it looks like:
Tumblr media
maybe it's not the most appetizing thing in the world, but please trust me when i say that this slaps. this is so fucking good. it has no right of being this good, but it is. why would they eat it back in the day if it wasn't good? this was for high-ranking nobles' kitchens. it had to slap. it had to be over the top and weird.
since the original recipe isn't very descriptive of how much of what you have to add, i'm gonna write it out with as many details as i can for those who aren't as kitchen-savvy and wish to try to make this tasty abomination. unfortunately i forgot to take pictures along the way, so no illustrations, sorry.
Ingredients (for about... 4 servings? I don't know. We had 2 and there was still a lot left):
for the pancakes:
500g of all-purpose flour
4-5 eggs (3 for the batter, 1-2 for later shenanigans)
like a cup of milk
2-3 spoons of sugar (brown sugar would probably be more historically accurate)
saffron (the more the better but watch out, it's expensive as shit)
some water if it turns out too thick
for the broth:
1.5 liters of water
3 stock cubes (if the package says one per 0.5l; otherwise just check what it says)
or you can just make broth from scratch if you want to roleplay a 17th century cook
3-4 chicken drumsticks (or an equivalent amount of veal or lamb)
cinnamon
black pepper
m o r e s a f f r o n
around 120g of butter (half a package if you're polish and know what i'm talking about)
one parsley root
3-4 tablespoons of wine vinegar
a... handful? of sugar. around 2-3 tablespoons, I guess
for the scrambled eggs:
4 eggs (or more; 1 per pancake)
a little bit of milk
1 tablespoon of sugar
e v e n m o r e s a f f r o n if you can afford it
raisins (or dried cranberries or whatever you want that has a similar taste size and texture)
you can also try to make this with rice instead of scrambled eggs. i imagine it can't be that hard.
the steps (there's a lot.):
Sieve the flour and add every other pancake ingredient into it; make sure the saffron is crushed into smaller bits
mix that shit with a hand mixer. it should be the consistency of like, sour cream, so if it's too thick, add a bit of water and check again. it's gotta be generally thick though, make sure it's not too runny (if the consistency is beginning to resemble banana juice, it's too runny already).
heat up the pan, put a little bit of oil on it with a folded paper towel (so you don't burn yourself on accident) and cook the pancakes until they're a bit golden, but not yet brownish in the spots that stick to the pan the most. basically just don't burn them. add a little oil the same way every 2 pancakes.
there's your pancakes, set them aside and move on to other stuff - it's broth time
boil the stock with the parsley root and your meat of choice, but don't add any spices yet, just the fuckton of butter. let it simmer for like an hour. yes, an hour. good soup takes time.
once the time has passed, you can add the spices. notice how i didn't really specify how much of the spices you have to add, and this is because you have to follow your heart and add as much as you can possibly handle eating. no, it's not gonna be too much. add that shit. add 3/4 of a 15g pepper packet. add almost the entire 15 grams of cinnamon. add like a bit of salt, but not a lot this time, just like 2 pinches. ADD THE SAFFRON. add the sugar. add more vinegar than you think would be enough normally. it's gonna boil away anyway.
mix it and let it simmer for even longer. taste it every now and then to see if you can handle it. if a few minutes after doing the dark magic listed above the taste is still very strong, that's good. if it's so strong your throat starts burning, you may be entitled to some more water in there, but if you don't start crying, leave it be. for like another hour.
time for scrambled eggs. rule of the thumb is 1 egg per 1 pancake and 2 pancakes per serving, so if you're cooking for 2, use 4 eggs. easy. add everything that i listed, but if you miss the sugar or the raisins, those can be added after you cook it.
once you have cooked the scrambled eggs, put it on a plate and wash your pan if you don't have another one/don't want to use another one. mix two remaining eggs in a bowl.
put the scrambled eggs with raisins (or whatever you decided to put in there) in your pancakes and roll them as tightly as you can manage. heat up your pan and put some butter on it.
CAREFULLY dip the ends of the pancakes in the mixed eggs and transfer them to the pan with butter. it may be easier to put them on the pan first and pour a little bit of the egg over the ends then, so if you're not sure you can dip them without the entire filling falling out suddenly, do that instead.
fry the pancakes on both sides until the egg is no longer in liquid form.
now, the serving:
pour a ladle of soup into a soup plate
put a piece of your meat in there too if it hasn't disintegrated completely and just started floating around in pieces
put two pancakes in the soup
now you can eat this thing. smacznego :)
I would also like to thank @slavicafire for posting weird old recipes sometimes and inspiring me to take the time to write all of this out :^)

Memaklumi Kepergian
