#day 2 of my internship #idk im just traumatized from previous social situations #but im already crying bc i know I'll never escape the complete hell that is getting used to new places and people #and im also thinking about how i always need very clear instructions about everything ever #or else i just literally dont know what to do #I'm doing everything the teachers are asking me to do #and im trying to observe as much as i can to see if there's something they're not saying but are expecting me to do #but i ALWAYS miss these unspoken things people expect from me #(also even if i notice something most of the times i feel like im not allowed to do anything ever if people dont give me #permission explicitly)#so i was thinking about talking to the teachers im helping about these things #so they know that if im not doing something they expect (and is obvious i should be doing) is not bc I don't want to or something like that #and that sometimes i just need very clear instructions about everything people expect from me wjhwhss #but then im scared that if i bring this up I'll just make the situation weird idk #this has been a issue my whole entire life and now im too self aware to not feel anxious about it lmao #in previous situations i just noticed things like years after #now I'm paranoid so im always acared to be doing less than expected bc people usually dont explain the obvious stuff #ANYWAYS i haye being like this i need a new brain #camtalks

Last day at work before the summer holidays (& my final day at work in this place specifically) and ohh. the mixed feelings :')

#uncle who lives in belgium knows i graduated a year early + currently studying for the mcat #and he’s practically begging me to visit him in belgium and study there #and belgium is only around 2 hours away from paris so you best believe id be taking the train there every day #the thing is i study full time & only have a minimal part time job on the side so he and my mom would have to foot that bill #and idk i’d feel so bad. i’m already so spoiled. like i never had to work a day in my life but im 21 #it’s very much in arab culture to spoil the daughters like this but still !!!#it just feels like i have to put my big girl pants on and start saving + relying on myself more & more when it comes to that #so that’s probably what i’ll be doing. plus i have research + my neuro internship here and i cant just drop that #but once i get a research publication in a few months + save up my own money im seriously considering j putting myself on a plane & going #i’m sure he and my mom would have no problem paying but it feels wrong. this is one thing i rly wanna pay upfront myself i think #but if i do manage to pull it off it’d be so cool bc i rly wanna see him #and i rly wanna bust out the 8 years i have in french #p

the burnout is real lads . . . . .

#which is to say that i came home and just stared at the wall for roughly 2 hours instead of completing my documents #it was at least validating to get to talk to one of my coworkers today #and hear that they're just as burnt out as i am #and usually have to sit in the parking lot for 4 to 5 minutes before they come in because they just don't want to be here that badly #and it feels hard to admit because this is typically thought of as a passion driven profession #and it's like #neither of us have lost the passion for it???#it's not that we hate our jobs #it's just that we both feel like. we're putting in increasingly more effort week by week but we're just.#no longer getting results.#i mentioned how i feel like my faith in my ability to do this kind of work has just plummeted to zero #not at all helped by my mentor constantly pushing me to go faster and faster but then getting mad when my presentations go poorly #because i went faster or reduced the amount of material or cut the Q and A section down 10 minutes #i just feel . . . . . tired . . . . . . . . . . .#i still need to write three planning documents for tonight #one of which needs to be Really Good because my direct supervisor will be looking at it #but my god #i just want to sleep for three days straight and then stare at a wall for another three #i'm so close to the end though . . . . .#just another 15 of these documents (including the three from tonight) and that about covers my internship #of course then there's also the seminar work and the group project and all the fancy official employment documents #and. the portfolio project (a man screams in agony)#but god . . . . . . . .#so close . . . . . . . .#so close . . . . . .#once i'm free from the portfolio it's back to zola work and THEN . . . . . . . . . .#i can finally have a substantial mental health break for the first time since last may ;;; _____ ;;;

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you all but I'm actually having an internship (or traineeship ? I don't know which one it is) which will last two months and is a LOT of work so I will probably be less active ! Especially since mental health is still alarmingly bad and I'm making the PL Big Bang a priority !!

In the meantime, you can still send stuff in the inbox for me to write/draw if you want to. I'll gladly do them whenever I have the time !!

i decided to stay home today because i felt terrible but was positive i would get up and start the day five hours later i am still in bed feeling terrible today was supposed to be at least an okay today: therapy and in the evening a concert

#i need to whine for a bit and i can't bother my mother #so ignore me #i've been having nearly non-stop headaches for 2 months at this point #during the weekends it's usually ok even if i am so exhausted i can barely move #but during the week if i don't wake up with a headache i will have one by noon and chance are i go to sleep with them #like last night #and today i woke up with a headache as well #just one more week and then i have one week off #i really should not fall into the trap of making any plans aside from relaxing and housework #no sewing no socializing no day trips just regaining some energy for my internship in april #i can function for school and ive gotten used to the headaches to the point that a day with none feels weird but i'm at my limit #meins

i am soooo at my breaking point it’s not even funny i’m like on god i can’t do this & all i have is one class + sitting in a room for 2 hrs and i’m like i can’t do this on the verge of tears mental breakdown level it’s not good out here it’s really not…..it’s just bc i had so much stuff due all at the same time + my period + doing my externship hrs i just don’t want to do this anymore 😭😭😭😭 i want to lie in my bed & not move for a week that’s all i want…….

#michelle speaks #it’s the fact of bc of my internship having to be doing stuff for 8+ hrs of the day 3/5 days of the week #and then still having to do stuff for 5 hrs the other 2 days like it’s so much 😭#if i didn’t have my externship fridays for 8 hrs it would b fine bc i’d have 3 days to recover #but no i have the whole week & then i have friday for so long it is very taxing 😭#so glad i am doing less hrs than i originally planned to bc if i was doing hrs on wednesday too i would be dead rn FR #it has been what like 3 or 4 weeks i think only 3 but i am like how do i keep doing this omg 😭😭😭😭#i should have done the bare minimum instead everyone remind me if i ever decide to do smth above the bare minimum again #that i should NOT do that & do as little as possible. there is always room to achieve less!!!! and i should strive for that!!!!!!!!
