one of my favourite scenes in "Osomatsu-san: The Hipipo Tribe and the Glistening Fruit" was the climactic chase featuring cameos from many reoccuring and one-off characters (some of whom also appeared in the film's opening) from all three seasons of the anime - some well-known among fans of the franchise, others not so much.

Thoughts of the Denki Mystery set and Dayoko-chan needs to stay protected

I love the Denki Mystery set but it's one that I *really* need to spend more time grasping the lore for...but I do love Chorosuke and would protect Dayoko with my life

chorochan honestly sucks so bad anytime he’s bearable to me (and by bearable I mean whimpering and crying and pathetically miserable) the series immediately has to balance it out by giving him a scene where he freaks out over a high school girl (eiga no osomatsu…..) and it’s immediately like. Violence violence violence kills you kills you kills you. So we do in fact have to get rid of choro

also the tacchan skit was so ???????????????????? If s3 was meant to cater more towards fans by having matsu characterization bits over actual Bits, then what did the tacchan skit even accomplish by telling us that choro is stupid lonely and certified insane like we already know he’s deranged… I mean it does carry over movie continuity, but they could’ve done it in a diff way (and also earlier in the season)

yeah i think tacchan was just to tie into the movie but u coukdve done that a million other ways. to me it almost feels like they wanted to give choromatsu a yaoi bc he's like the only unshippable brother (bc ppl hate dayoko lol) but didnt want to commit to actually letting him have anything. again s3's probpems with Commitment

like the punchline of the tacchan joke is what i mean by s3's sense of humor is dangerously pointed towards being at the audience's expense, the sextuplets living pointless lives accomplishing nothing isnt at their expense anymore, it's at ours, bc they make us think something will happen and then it doesnt. like the worst thing u can do to an audience is make them feel like they wasted their time bc characters and plots are made up but time and emotional investment are Real Things your audience is giving up. this part isnt actually choro's fault tbh i just hate the tacchan skit so much it's literally just an unfunny waste-of-time skit

ATTENTION OC/SELF INSERT ARTISTS IMPORTANT AU INFO: in denki mystery your characters name would stay the same!!! the only characters who have name changes are the sextuplets, and this is only because they have 'matsu' in their original names [while still having been brought up by the dayons]! every other non-matsu character [ex: matsuzou, totoko, iyami, dayoko] has the same name because theirs dont interfere with the magic, [which was why only people w the name matsu was massacred in the first place and not anyone else] which means your characters would also stay the same!!!! [the ONLY one to have a nonmatsu name thats been changed is ori which should not have a stake in your oc or s/i naming choices since thats just to emphasize the dayons point of origin. I GET THAT THATS LESS COOL! I GET THAT ITS FUN TO COME UP WITH NEW NAMES! BUT IT DOESNT MAKE CANONICAL SENSE.....]
