I've recently acquired a cat, and read that oranges are toxic to them. But, HOW toxic? If I've just eaten an orange, is it okay to pet my cat or should I wash my hands first just in case?

Probably wash it off your hands, the acid can upset their stomach and they will lick any off their fur. It’s relatively minor though.

Dreams are just your brain's way of sorting your stuff. Your brain is doing its filing, and your dreams are your brain gathering up all the stuff from the day in order to file it away. Maybe you were thinking about this person earlier in the day. Maybe you were a bit horny or read a hot fic before going to sleep. Or some other random combinations that threw these two subjects together in the pile of mess in your brain by the end of the day. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you, you are right, of course (I saw their photo on FB and OF COURSE I read smut before I went to bed). I´m not worried by it, it just...felt really strange. The dream was mostly very romantic and made me feel good. So when I woke up I was like what if I gave that person a chance? Then I told myself I was being stupid :D

Consistent spelling mistakes. Like they use the word a lot and actually believe that's how it's spelled, or consistent incorrect word usage. (Definitely/defiantly as an example.) Not so much an issue if it's only used occasionally through the fic, but if it's used frequently is like "this is your favorite word and you haven't checked it's correct spelling/usage?" But "the ??? man" and tense changes are the worst ones for me.

completely agreed. you can have the best story and characterization and plot but if the spelling is consistently off it’s just like 😬😬😬

The usual stuff i guess. "He placed his hand on the taller man's thigh" when narrating an intimate destiel relationship in either dean's or Cas' pov. TENSE CHANGES. Especially frequent ones, and I've even read some fics where the tense changes MID SENTENCE. Out of character overly flowery language, or just inappropriate language choices in general for the characters.

i will admit im super fucking guilty of tense changes so i will give authors a pass on that one 😬

but the whole epithet thing is real annoying in my opinion....’the hunter’, ‘the older man’, ‘the blue-eyed man’
