Hexagonal shapes

That post about the most cruel and crazy things to do to characters is not actually angst but putting them in a modern au doing really normal shit could not be more incorrect applying Specifically to Alfred Montbank Deathgatecycle. Putting Alfred on the bus to a 9 to 5 customer service job with some headphones on is like releasing white doves on your wedding.

the thing about why haplo "taught to hate, never to love" HITS so hard is because he's thinking that during and in the middle of reflecting on the insane amount of love that has colored his life in the labyrinth along with the trauma. His parents, the people who took him in after them, every squatter village along the way, marit- all people he cared for and never let himself care for or believe they could care for him the same way but being able to realize how he cares for them and how he cares for everyone here, being put in the position of seeing every child of the labyrinth as his not just in their grief, wrath and injustice but in the love.

Does anybody remember how does exactly Balthazar look like? I remember him having a black hair and a beard, but maybe I am misremembering? How old is he? Maybe in his fourties? His game portrayal certainly is not of much help :D

Not to do this again but god the fact that alfred deathgatecycle literally does nothing except walk through a high density pulp fantasy story, Realm After Realm After Realm tm, going "I simply think the world would be better if people werent hurting people. can we not hurt other people? can we please try not hurting so many people?" - he says that to assassins and kings, to environmental and resource based issues, to warmongering, to cycles of vengence and isolation and bias and judgment- and besides that he just, walks around, scared, and keeps quite literally falling and getting up and falling and getting up and its like. yknow
